So, this story has hit a milestone none of my other stories have hit. This story has received 1,000 reviews! This is amazing! I am so thankful for all of the support to this story, and I look forward to your continued support.
So, this will be a more laidback chapter. Hope you like it.
Let's get to it.
1049: I had to include Korriban at least once. And actually, Korriban will be mentioned many times throughout this series.
pervy sage: Not sure what extent of Luke's power I'll show.
Chapter 55- A Happy Surprise
(October 1, 2016)
Ahsoka smiles as the London drops out of hyperspace near Mars. The ship was on its way back to pick up supplies to take to the Andromeda Galaxy, and brought Ahsoka back from a brief assignment in the galaxy. She had been assigned to lead a strike mission in the Expansion Region, and was now headed back two months after leaving Earth. She was now returning to spend a few months training Jedi.
Beside her, one of the ASAT team, a young German named Major Axel Lansdorf walks up. Lansdorf was a former member of the Terran Jedi Order, and one of the first members inducted as a Padawan during the Clone Wars.
"Ready to be going home?" Axel asks.
"More than. I want to be back with my kids," Ahsoka says.
Axel smiles and chuckles. He knows Ahsoka's family from his time as Jedi before transitioning to the ASAT team. "I can understand why. You do have some pretty good kids," Axel says.
Ahsoka smiles. Right then, she suddenly feels overcome with a wave of nausea. She bends over, grabbing hold of a control panel. She takes a series of deep breaths, and the nausea slowly passes.
Ahsoka looks and sees that Axel is looking at her in concern. "Are you okay?" he asks in concern.
"Yeah. I've just been feeling a little sick the last couple of days. It's been clearing up, but I still get a few nausea spells from time to time," Ahsoka says.
Axel nods, the concern leaving his face. Ahsoka then says, "Why don't we get down to the hangar bay and help them load up the transports?"
"Sounds good to me. I need to do something busy," Axel says. The two then leave the bridge and head down towards the hangar bay.
When the two of them reach the hangar bay, they find hangar crews loading pieces of equipment onto transports that have been brought back to Earth for maintenance work or ordnance that needs to be returned and disposed of for being unready for combat. Axel and Ahsoka hurry over to help get everything loaded onto the transports.
By the time the London arrives in Earth orbit, all of the transport craft have been loaded up with all the equipment that needs to go down to the planet. Having finished helping, Ahsoka and Axel board a smaller shuttle that is headed for the Jedi Temple. Just a minute later, the shuttle takes off and heads down into the atmosphere.
As the shuttle descends into the atmosphere, heading for the Temple, Ahsoka leans back against the side of the passenger bay, twirling one of her lightsabers in hand. Next to her, Axel looks at her and asks, "Do you think that plan of Thrawn's is a good idea?"
"I do. After losing Gates, we need to strike a big blow at the Empire. It's risky, that's for sure, but I think with Thrawn in charge, we should be able to pull it off," Ahsoka says.
"I'll admit, until the Empire attacked Earth, I was real hesitant to trust Thrawn. But he's really pulling through for us," Axel says.
"Agreed," Ahsoka says.
It doesn't take too long before the shuttle finally lands on the small airstrip beside the Temple. A small airfield had been constructed near the airfield for transport craft to land and for the Jedi to store their fighters at. The field had been completed in 2009.
The back of the shuttle opens up, and Ahsoka, Axel, and several troops bringing some things down to the Temple disembark from the shuttle and walk over to the Temple.
"Alright, everyone. I'm headed home. I will see you soon," Ahsoka says.
"Alright. Say hi to your family for me," Axel says. Ahsoka smiles and nods before heading off to the parking lot.
Coming into the parking lot, she sees her car right where left it. Pulling her keys out of her pocket, she hops in her car and starts the engine. Smiling at being back in her car, she pulls out of the parking lot and onto the highway, heading towards Frederick.
After a little over an hour on the road, Ahsoka smiles as she pulls into her driveway. Parking the car, she hops out and walks up to the front door.
Opening the door, she walks into the living room, and finds Sarah sitting in an armchair, reading a book. Sarah had turned 11 just a month ago. Just thinking about the fact that her little girl is 11 makes Ahsoka feel old.
Sarah glances up from her book. She stares at Ahsoka for a moment before crying out, "Mom! You're home!" She throws her book aside and leaps up from her chair, rushing up to embrace her mom.
"Hey, honey. Oh, I'm glad to see you too," Ahsoka says as she hugs her daughter.
A second later, Jacob comes running into the room. Jacob is now 7, and a rather hyperactive little boy.
"Mom!" he cries as he runs up and hugs her.
Ahsoka beams as she wraps an arm around Jacob. "Good to see you too, buddy," she says.
Then, Dakota walks into the room. Ahsoka beams as she sees him. Letting go of her kids, she walks up to Dakota and wraps her arms around him before kissing him.
As Ahsoka pulls back, Dakota smiles at her and says, "Glad to see you too. How did the mission go?"
"Perfect. And since Miriam took my place to help with Thrawn's next attack, I'm guaranteed to stay here for a while," Ahsoka says
Dakota smiles at her. "That's good to hear," he says.
"Mommy, can we go out to dinner tonight? Daddy didn't want to, but I want to go now you're home," Jacob says.
Dakota rolls his eyes, but Ahsoka can't help but smile. "Of course, Jacob. We can go out to dinner," he says.
"Oh, come one, honey," Dakota says.
Ahsoka smiles at him slyly. "Sorry, honey. But after two months being gone, I gotta spoil my children a little," she says.
Dakota rolls his eyes again, but says, "Alright. You win."
"I thought I always do," Ahsoka says. She then laughs and kisses Dakota again. She then looks back at her kids and says, "Alright, kids. Let's go get dinner!"
"Yay!" they both say. They quickly go to get their shoes on, and follow Ahsoka and Dakota out of the house to head into Frederick for dinner.
(October 7, 2016)
Ahsoka leans over the toilet, vomiting up the last of her breakfast. Just when she thought she was getting better, she started feeling sick again.
Ahsoka feels Dakota's hands rubbing her back. "Are you sure you're okay, honey?" he asks.
"I don't know. The last week and a half or so, I've been feeling pretty sick and nauseous, especially in the mornings and after eating," she responds.
Dakota is quiet for a moment. Then, he asks Ahsoka, his tone different, "Wait. 'Soka, when was the last time you had your period?"
Ahsoka's head shoots up, then slowly turns towards her husband. "A few months," she responds slowly.
The two look at each other for a moment before Dakota starts to ask, "Do you think-?"
"Maybe," Ahsoka answers before Dakota can finish.
"Let's go pick up some tests. We need to find out," Dakota says. Ahsoka nods.
(1 hour later)
Dakota and Ahsoka hold each other's hands tightly from where they're sitting on their bed. The waiting is torturous.
"What do you think it's gonna say?" Dakota asks
Ahsoka looks down at her watch. "Well, it's time for us to find out," she says. They stand up and slowly walk into their master bathroom.
They immediately turn to the counter next to the sink, where two pregnancy tests are sitting. The two of them lean over to see what the tests see, and on both tests, they read a single word.
Pregnant.
The two stand there for several long moments before turning to each other. Both of them smile as tears come to their eyes, and they both simultaneously throw their arms around each other.
The two just hold each other for almost a minute before Dakota finally says, "Number 3 is on the way."
"I'm so lucky to have you and our family," Ahsoka says. She then pulls back and looks at him and says, "I'm so glad I came here. If I'd stayed in the galaxy, I'd have never gotten married or become a mom, and I can't imagine my life any other way."
Dakota smiles at her and says, "I'm glad you came her too. I can't imagine my life without you." The two then share a kiss and embrace again, both of them incredibly excited to be welcoming their third child into their family.
And, I'll end there.
So, something that some of you have been asking for is happening. Ahsoka is pregnant again! The baby will be arriving before the Battle of Endor, just for those wondering about the timing of it.
