(Next Update! Hope you like it. I own nothing but Lucy.)

...

"Wait till my Father hears about this! This is servant's stuff!" Malfoy whined as Fang attempted to run ahead of him and the Potters.

"You sure you're not scared?" Lucy put out her hand to pet Fang on the head as Harry walked steadily by her side.

"Scared Potter?" Malfoy spat the name and froze when he heard another wolf howl. Harry checked their surroundings.

"I'll show you scared. Come on Fang!" Malfoy tugged on the dog's leash again making the poor creature help as his collar dug into his neck.

"Don't pull him so hard!" Lucy scowled at the other boy, but he only scowled back at her. "I'll pull him however hard I want to, Potter!"

"Don't talk to her like that!" Harry stepped between them not noticing the shape emerging behind him until Lucy tugged on his arm.

Fang let out a low threatening growl.

"Harry!" Lucy whispered, her voice ringing with terror as Fang's growls turned into sharp brisk barks.

"What is it?" Harry peered over the tallest roots of the trees obscuring his view of the ground just below the path.

Lucy gasped. "It's the unicorn!" She pointed to the dead animal laying at the base of an old wicker tree. Its silvery white fur glowed under the light of the moon making it seem even more magical than it already was. Harry stopped her from running off the path.

"Lu don't!" He warned just as a dark figure previously almost invisible to the small group in the dark raised its head, the unicorn's clear silvery blood dripping from its jaws.

Lucy groaned as she felt her scar burn. Harry dropped his grip on her arm as Malfoy turned and ran screaming from his spot, Fang tight at his heels.

The creature let out an angry hiss and used its cloak to wipe his jaws before advancing on the Potter Twins.

Lucy stumbled to the ground as the pain intensified causing Harry to trip over her as he attempted to run and grab Lucy at the same time.

At that moment, a large shape leaped over the trees at him kicking its front legs out in a threatening manner at the cloaked figure.

Lucy temporarily forgot the pain in her forehead for a minute upon noticing that his body was half human and half horse. "Is that...a Centaur?" She wondered, but Harry didn't hear her.

The dark figure let out another hiss before retreating into the forest. Lucy sat up pulling Harry with her as the Centaur turned to face the Potters.

"Harry and Lucy Potter?" He addressed Harry first. The Twins exchanged glances then nodded their heads. "Yes?" Lucy squeaked.

"You must leave." The Centaur stepped lightly over the ground. "You are both known to many creatures here. The forest is not safe at this time. Especially for you two."

Harry rose to his feet."But...what was that thing you saved us from?" He asked as Lucy got up slowly next to him.

"A monstrous creature." The Centaur looked away from them and towards the Unicorn's body. "It is a terrible crime to slay a unicorn and drinking the blood of a unicorn will keep you alive even if you are an inch from death, but at a terrible price." He turned to face the Potters again.

"You have slain something so pure, the moment the blood touches your lips you will have a half life. A cursed life." His words made Lucy shiver.

"But who would choose to lead such a horrible life?" Harry wondered. The Centaur leaned over him. "Can you think of no one? No one in our world who would resort to such a thing?" He swished his tail back and forth.

Lucy felt her jaw drop open. "Do you mean to say..." She glanced back towards the unicorn. "That that thing that killed the unicorn...that was..drinking it's blood...that was Voldemort?" The name sent another shiver down her spine.

The Centaur nodded his head.

"Lucy Potter." He addressed her. "Do you know what is hidden at the school at this very moment?"

Lucy exchanged glances with Harry. "The Sorceror's stone." They said simultaneously. Again the Centaur nodded his head.

"Harry? Lucy!" Hermione, Ron and Hagrid came up the path with Fang at their heels. "Hello there Firenze!" Hagrid greeted the Centaur as casually as if he were one of the students.

"I see you've met our young Mr. and Miss Potter. All right there, you two?" He turned his gaze towards the twins.

Harry and Lucy nodded their heads. "Yes Hagrid."

"Then this is where I leave you, Harry Potter. Lucy Potter." The Centaur nodded respectively at them. "Good luck." He turned to gallop off into the trees.

"Right then!" Hagrid cleared his throat and motioned for the twins to rejoin their friends. "I'm going to go gather a sample for Dumbledore. You four head back to the castle and get to bed. Don't dawdle." He ordered.

Harry and Lucy nodded their heads at him.

...

"So wait! You mean You-Know-Who is out there, right now in the forest?" Hermione seemed frightened by the idea as she sat crosslegged between Ron and Lucy on the couch back at the Gryffindor Common Room.

"Yeah we saw him." Lucy nodded her head timidly in confirmation. "But he was weak. He's living off of the unicorns' blood." She licked her lips, feeling sad at the thought of all those dead unicorns.

Harry glanced at his sister warily. "But don't you see, Guys?" He stopped pacing halfway across the fireplace.

"Snape doesn't want the stone for himself, he wants the stone for Voldemort!"

Ron and Hermione visibly cringed at the sound of his name.

"But why?" Ron squeaked going paler than he already was as the fire crackled in front of him.

"Because with the Elixer of Life, Voldemort can be strong again!" Lucy quickly put in. "He..He can come back!" She nearly whispered.

Ron gulped and clutched a couch cushion closer to him. "And to think...I've been worrying about my Potions final." He whimpered and sank deep into his corner of the sofa.

Hermione suddenly jumped to her feet. "Wait! Hang on a minute! Aren't we all forgetting something? Who's the one wizard You Know Who has always feared?"

She turned to face the boys and Lucy as a small white kitten suddenly padded around the corner of the couch.

Lucy reached down and picked up her cat as Ron and Harry shrugged their shoulders.

"Dumbledore!" Hermione threw her hands up in the air dramatically. "As long as Dumbledore's around, you two will be safe! He can't touch you!" She grinned as an ember snapped loudly behind her.

Athene immediately perked up at the loud noise.

"Are you sure?" Lucy asked, still sounding worried as she slowly pet Athene to soothe the nervous kitten. "Volde...You Know Who was very powerful before he fell."

Hermione nodded her head. "Positive. Trust me Lucy. You're safe." She plopped back down on the couch next to her friend.

"Okay then it's settled!" Harry sat down on a small footsteal leaning forward as if about to give an important pep talk before a big game.

Lucy looked up sharply from her cat. "What's settled?"

"Tomorrow we are going to find out everything we can about what Snape is doing for Volde...You Know Who." Harry corrected himself hastily.

"Once we have the evidence, we can tell Dumbledore and put a stop to whatever You Know Who might be planning after his return." He smiled seeming proud of his idea.

Lucy let out a sigh. "But I have detention with Snape tomorrow after classes." She frowned and sat back against the couch she was sharing with her friends.

Athene mewed as if sympathetic to her mistress's plight.

"That's perfect!" Ron exclaimed. "You can watch him and give us a report when you get out of detention. Make a note of it if you see him doing anything suspicious!" He got excited.

Hermione punched him in the arm.

"But I'm in enough trouble as it is." Lucy wrinkled her nose at Ron's idea. "I don't want to give Snape more reasons to give me extra detentions." She frowned as Athene sneezed in agreement.

"Lucy, come on. It's for the best cause! If Snape succeeds then You Know Who will be back and he'll kill more people like Mum and Dad. You don't want that to happen do you?" Harry pleaded, knowing his sister wouldn't say no to that end.

"Well..." Lucy hesitated. "Well all right, but I don't like it." She reluctantly agreed.

Hermione gently patted her hand. "It'll be fine." She reassured her though Lucy could tell she wasn't a hundred percent confident about the plan either.

Lucy smiled weakly at her in return. She didn't feel as certain as her friends and brother seemed to be.
