Hey, everybody. Back with another chapter.
Now, to address something real quick. A lot of people have been asking about Inferno Squad showing up. Now, I will say that they were present at the Battle of Endor, even though I didn't show them. I have so much material to go through that I can't include everything that everyone wants to see. However, I will say that Inferno Squad is not out of this series. I have a specific plan for Inferno Squad in one of the EU stories. So don't worry about that. They'll make a short cameo
Let's get to it.
Peter Hong Kong: Well, the SF-15 is still the fastest fighter in either galaxy, as well as the most heavily armed fighter in either galaxy. And don't worry, we'll see more nukes used soon.
the mysterious Mr.E: Yes, Inferno Squad will defect to the Republic like in canon. And yes, I will still be doing the Battle of Jakku.
Starpottergeek: I'm going to show Starhawk class battleships, but not the progress of the project.
DarkerEvening: No, I don't plan on Luke taking any acting jobs. He'll be too busy as a Jedi.
8Ball3: Yes, they'll be working on a super soldier program, but it will take a very long time before it achieves results.
Guest: Yes, the Terran Alliance will have forces present at the Battle of Exegol. And yes, the aquatic species I'm working on will be in future stories.
Chapter 71- The New Republic
(December 20, 2017)
Kelly and Luke slowly make their way through the corridor of the massive assembly hall on Chandrila. The Terran Alliance had seized the planet in an invasion just a few weeks earlier, making it the first of the Core Worlds recaptured from the Empire. Luckily for the Terrans, their were few Imperial troops on Chandrila, and the planet was easily captured.
Since then, the Rebellion has been preparing for something quite special. Over the last few weeks, they had begun referring to themselves as the New Republic. Now, today, they were going to officially form the New Republic and reconvene the Galactic Senate. Kelly was here along with her father and several others as representatives of the Terran Alliance for this historic event.
Together, they make their way into the main assembly hall that will serve as the Senate Hall for the time being. The Senate, at the moment, represents the worlds captured by the Terran Alliance and the worlds that have openly rebelled against the Empire. While the New Republic will be small to begin with, it continues to gain support with every passing day.
Kelly and Luke make their way into the assembly chamber. Delegates that will be the first Senators of the newly reconvened Senate are milling about, as well as other important Rebel leaders. The handful of Terran representatives are speaking to some of the important figures. Most of the Terran representatives were military figures, including Adams and Grand Admiral Thrawn. However, one of the Council of Five, Prime Minister Theresa May, had come, and she was currently speaking with Mon Mothma.
Adams, who is currently speaking with Admiral Ackbar, turns and sees his daughter and son in law. He excuses himself from the conversation and walks over to them.
"Hey, sweetie," Adams says as he approaches the two of them.
"Hey, dad," Kelly replies. She warmly embraces her dad, smiling brightly.
As they pull apart, Adams turns to Luke. "Good to see you, Luke," he says, and the two share a quick hug.
"Glad you're here," Adams says.
"Wouldn't miss it. This a big step forward for the galaxy," Luke says.
Adams nods in agreement. Then, a new smile comes on his face, and he looks at Kelly. "Did you get to see your new niece?"
Kelly starts grinning. "Yes! I saw her over a video call yesterday! And OMG, she is so cute! Seriously, she is the most adorable baby I've ever seen! I can't wait until I get to go back home and get to see her in person!" she says.
"Did they say if they've finally decided on a name?" Adams asks.
"Yes. Grace Olivia Adams," Kelly responds, beaming.
Adams smiles brightly in response. "That is a beautiful name. You know, your mother and I actually considered naming you Grace after we found out you were a girl. It's good to know that even still, there's going to be a Grace in our family," he says. All three of them exchange several chuckles at that.
A moment later, they here a chime go off, and a voice says over a loudspeaker, "Will everyone please take their seats? This session is about to begin."
"Let's go take our seats," Adams says. The three of them make their way over to a section of the assembled seats set aside for the Terran representatives where they all sit down.
Once everyone has taken their proper seats, Mon Mothma stands up at the front of the hall. Looking around at everybody, she begins to speak, "My fellow delegates and citizens. Friends from two galaxies. Today, we gather together for a historic day of freedom and justice. For the last 23 years, this galaxy has languished under the oppressive tyranny of the Galactic Empire. Long have its citizens waited for the day that freedom would again be restored to the galaxy."
"For six years, the Alliance to Restore the Republic has fought to remove the tyranny of the Empire and restore the Republic, the rightful government of this galaxy. For years, we and our Terran allies had fought and died across the galaxy. And after so many years of struggle, the Emperor is finally dead, the Empire has begun to crumble."
"We still have a long way to go before we achieve victory. The war is not over yet. However, the goal of peace and freedom across the galaxy has never been closer. And now, we take one step further. Today, we celebrate one of the goals we have fought for with the official organization of the New Republic!" Mon Mothma declares. In response, the assembly begins clapping respectfully.
"We still have a long way to go. But, with the roots of democracy restored, I look forward to the day in the near future where the Empire will be no more and democracy will once again reign across this galaxy," she says, bringing about another round of clapping. Mothma then sits down, and the first meeting of the new Galactic Senate commences.

Loginov twirls his lightsaber hilt in his hands as he walks down one of the halls of the Pentagon. He is on his way to meet with General Rommel. He had been summoned to the Pentagon by Rommel for a meeting about a special mission.
Reaching the door to Rommel's office, he knocks. "Enter!" Rommel's voice calls through the door.
Loginov opens the door and walks into the office. He walks up to Rommel's desk, standing at attention, and says, "General Rommel, Lieutenant Colonel Loginov, reporting as ordered."
"At ease, Colonel. Sit down," Rommel says.
Loginov eases up and sits down across the desk from Rommel. Rommel leans forward a bit and says, "Thank you for coming, Colonel. I was asked by my colleagues in the Joint Command to brief you on this mission. As we're moving into the Inner Rim and weakening the Empire further, the Joint Command is doing all it can to crack down on splinter groups from the Empire."
Rommel slides a photo over to Loginov across the desk. "Do you recognize this man?" he asks.
Loginov takes a look at the photo. The photo shows a man that seems well built with a bit of handlebar mustache, and wearing a white Imperial officer's uniform. His rank plaque has a top row of six blue squares, and a bottom row of two red squares on the left and four yellow ones on the right.
"Warlord Zsinj," Loginov says.
"Yes," Rommel responds simply.
"Well, if this mission involves this SOB, I imagine it's pretty big," Loginov says.
"Indeed. As you know, several high ranking Imperial officials have broken away from the Empire and attempted to form their own small Empires. Zsinj is one of them, and the most powerful. Zsinj's power is only growing, and currently, he controls about a fifth of the Empire's remaining territory. He has also gathered a formidable fleet, including a Super Star Destroyer." Rommel says.
Loginov is quiet for a moment before looking up at Rommel and saying, "And let me guess? You want me to take him out."
"Yes. Zsinj is in part so successful because of the loyalty he commands. If we can take him out, his Imperial fragment will crumble rather quickly. We can't afford to have him in power while we are trying to bring down the rest of the Empire, nor can we have him gather any more forces," Rommel says.
Rommel pauses for a moment before he says, "The Joint Command has decided to assign you to command this mission. You will be leading a team of twelve men from the Zulu Force, as well as Tech from Clone Force 5. We're working on developing intelligence on where we can find Zsinj and carry out this mission. However, it is believed you will likely have to take him out while he is on his Super Star Destroyer, so I would suggest that you conduct most of your training on our ships."
Loginov looks down at the picture of Zsinj, then back at Rommel, a slight grin coming onto his face. "You can count on me, General," he says.
And, I'll end there. Hope you liked this short little chapter.
So, yes, Warlord Zsinj will be showing up in this. The operation to take him out will be Chapter 73.
Next chapter will be a bit more sad, but should still be good. It should be up soon. Until it is, please leave a review, and stay tuned.
