Hey, everybody. Back with another chapter. This is going to be the longest chapter of the story.

Now, I will be cutting down greatly on fanfiction uploads for the rest of the month, as I have a massive research paper I need to research for and write. So, expect much less frequent updates for the rest of the month.

Alright, let's get to it.

Starpottergeek: Maybe.

Guest: Technically, but it's more a wartime rank, like how five and six star ranks generally are.

Guest DCDGojira: I may or may not give her a love interest. Not sure what I'll do with Rose.

Guest: Umm, there was no space travel in the 40s. The Republic didn't even find Earth until almost half a century after the end of WWII. So, no, there will not be anything like that happening.

Guest: Yes, there will be a story covering the sequel trilogy.

Guest221: Yes.

pervy sage: Maybe.

Guest: Switzerland is a member of the Terran Alliance. They will commit troops to an operation if they are needed, but they have an agreement to keep their forces out of larger off-planet operations unless absolutely needed. So, they are part of the Terran Alliance, but still kind of neutral.

Peter Hong Kong: There will be scattered Imperial fragments that both the New Republic and Terran Alliance will still be hunting after the end of the war. As for Sidious being still alived in this, I'll not be confirming that. As for not doing another Earth-Star Wars series, I have two main reasons. The first being I don't like revisiting concepts I've already done and writing a different series around that concept. I just don't like doing that. Second, I'm a college student and my life is getting busier every semester. Writing out the stories I'm currently working on and already have planned (which is a lot more extensive than I've hinted previously) will probably take up most of the rest of my college career, and after I graduate, I'm not gonna have a lot of time to write fanfiction, and I'll want to focus on finishing the series and stories I already have planned. I just don't have time to add an entire new series into the mix.

Guest: The Terran Alliance will be supporting the Resistance.

Guest: You misunderstood me. I will not be doing another series centered around Star Wars finding Earth. I still have plenty of stories planned for the Terran Alliance series, so don't worry about that.

Guest: Not sure about Tenel Ka and Lowbacca. May have Luke and Kelly's kid be Ben Skywalker. As for the Yuuzhan Vong, I'm still debating whether or not to include them at some point, but they definitely won't be in the next big story.

anonymous: Well, let me put it in context. The Terran Alliance favors the dagger shape for its bigger ships, as that is an effective design that's been around for millenia. They didn't copy the first order design for the Repulse-class. I just chose that because I like the design, and there are some design differences, and in this, the First Order will base the resurgent class off of the Repulse class. As for the London class being based off the Victory class, at the end of the Clone Wars, the Terrans needed to build a powerful warship that could stand against the Empire, and they had to be able to build it fast. Since they already had the design data for the Victory class, they decided to just base the London class off of it rather than try and take the time to design aq new ship for their first major warship. And the Baltimore class has more design differences from Imperial designs than the picture on the wiki suggests. And trust me, there are more unique designs in the Terran fleet. I just don't have pictures up yet.

Guest: The pictures of Terran soldiers on the wiki are all fan submissions, actually. The only one I feel slightly hesitant about is the paratrooper one, because it does seem a bit excessive and bulky. I mainly just don't imagine them wearing jetpacks like that. As for your question about the Mandalorians participating in the Battle of Coruscant: if you remember from the first story, Samuel Adams defeated Darth Maul in single combat during the Siege of Mandalore. Because of that, he commands the respect of many of the Mandalorians because of their traditions, so the Alliance had Adams visit what's left of the Mandalorians and recruit them to the cause.

Chapter 80- Downfall

(February 5, 2019)

Kelly growls a bit to herself as she twirls her lightsaber, blocking a flurry of blaster bolts flying all around her. A massive laser bolt fired by an AT-ACT flies right at her, but she leaps aside to avoid it. Two SA-10s dive in seconds later and destroy the walker.

The ground battle on Coruscant has been going on for a full 4 days now. The fighting has been brutal, and very slow, but the Alliance has been making slow progress.

Kelly and Luke are now working with the American 1st Armored Division, 101st Airborne Division, 43rd Infantry Division, and 1st Marine Division. They've been advancing towards the Senate building, as well the Pakistani 10th Infantry Division and 2nd Clone Division. In the 4 days since the start of the ground battle, they've advanced about a quarter of the way between the landing site and the Senate building.

Luke hurries up beside Kelly, along with a platoon of Marines, among which is Nantz. "There's a full brigade headed our way!" Luke says.

"S***!" Kelly curses to herself. After a moment, she says, "Call up a pair of Leviathans and pull more troops to the front. We're gonna need to advance and hit them before they can hit us." She then turns and charges down the street.

Everyone stands there for a second before Nantz bellows loud enough to be across the entire street, "You heard the lady! After her!" The Marines bellow war cries as they charge down the street after Kelly.

Kelly reaches a company of stormtroopers and starts tearing through them, moving from one stormtrooper to another, cutting them apart with her lightsaber. As she goes, Luke races up beside her, cutting down any stormtrooper that tries to get close to her.

Nantz leads a platoon directly after them, firing their assault rifles at the stormtroopers beyond them. At the same time, more platoons of Marines spread out and begin to enter buildings along the street, clearing them building to building. Each building requires minutes of hard fighting, as the Imperials are dug in deep.

Cutting down a stormtrooper, Kelly sees a squad of riot control stormtroopers racing towards her and Luke. She twirls her lightsaber once and charges towards them, Luke right behind her.

The first trooper whips out his electrostaff and swings it at Kelly. Kelly blocks the strike and forces the staff aside, then spins around and removes the trooper's head with a stroke of her saber. Another trooper tries to jab his electrostaff at her head from the side, Luke quickly leaps in and blocks it with his saber, forcing the trooper onto the defensive.

Kelly attacks another trooper, stabbing her saber at his chest, but the trooper manages to block it with his electrostaff. She follows up with a feint towards his shoulder before slashing at his leg. The trooper just manages to catch it with his electrostaff.

Kelly pulls her saber back before flipping up over his head. She then drives her saber through the trooper's back, killing him instantly.

Kelly immediately senses something behind her, and just manages to duck under the blow from another trooper's electrostaff. Keeping head down, she pins around and cuts the trooper in half at his waist.

Standing up, she sees there is only one trooper left, and he's duelling Luke. Kelly watches Luke exchange several blows with the trooper before ducking under a blow from the trooper before popping back up and slashing him from his left hip to his right shoulder. The trooper collapses a second later.

Luke and Kelly look at each other and nod once to each other before turning to face the line of stormtroopers advancing down the street.

As Kelly and Luke advance down the street, followed by dozens of Marines, Nantz leads a squad into an apartment building they've already seen blaster fire coming out of. Nantz kicks the door in, and the Marines stream into the building.

The Marines spread out to clear the building. Nantz leads five of them up the stairs towards the second floor. Among them are Staff Sergeant Santos, Sergeant Stavrou, and Sergeant Imlay, three of his friends from the Battle of Los Angeles.

Reaching the top of the stairs, Nantz moves to the closest doorway. Raising his foot, he kicks the door in. Immediately, he comes under fire and ducks behind out of view. He waits a few seconds for the fire to stop, then leans through the doorway, points his M4 into the room and empties his magazine into the room, killing three stormtroopers.

More blaster fire comes flying through the door, forcing Nantz to double back. The blaster fire stops after a second, and then one of the remaining stormtroopers comes to the doorway.

At that exact moment, Santos dashes past Nantz, having set her M4 down and drawn her knife. Santos grabs the stormtrooper's blaster and pulls it aside before driving her knife into his throat.

Pulling the knife, Santos runs into the room, where the last two stormtroopers are waiting. One of them tries to fire his blaster at her, but the bolt misses by a hair's breadth.

The other trooper, realizing he's too close, swings his blaster at her to try and hit her with it, but Santos ducks under. She then punches him in the stomach before driving her knife into his eye.

The other trooper tries to fire his blaster at her, but Santos uses the body of the trooper she just killed as a shield. She then throws the body at the other trooper before rushing him. He tries to throw a punch, but Santos ducks under it and drives her knife into the trooper's leg. As he collapses from the pain, she stabs him again, this time driving the knife into his armpit, killing him.

As Santos stands up from the last trooper, she looks behind her and sees Nantz walk into the room. He looks around the room and smiles a bit before he says, "Once again, you prove you're a badass Santos."

"Thank you," Santos says with a grin.

Nantz scans the room one more time before motioning for Santos to follow him out of the room, handing her M4 back to her.

The two rejoin with the others, and proceed up to the third floor. As soon as they reach the third floor, they come under fire from stormtroopers. They double back down the stairs, but Nantz quickly solves the problem by tossing a grenade up the stairs, which quickly kills all of the stormtroopers, allowing them to proceed to the third floor.

They quickly confirm that the third floor has no more stormtroopers, then proceed up to the fourth floor. It takes only a few seconds to confirm there are no stormtroopers on that floor. They proceed up to the remaining floors, but quickly confirm there are no more stormtroopers in this building. Nantz quickly calls out on the radio, "Building clear. Everybody rejoin the others." He then leads the Marines that came with him back out of the building to rejoin the rest of the division.

As Nantz emerges from the building, a loud explosion rocks the street as a TIE bomber drops a few proton bombs, killing several dozen Marines. A second later, an Su-36 pursuing the bomber fires a missile and destroys the bomber.

Nantz hears a familiar rumbling, and glances to his right to see a Marine Corps M1 trundling up the street. As the tank goes past them, it fires a shell at an AT-ST approaching the Marines, destroying the small walker.

"Move!" Nantz yells, and he and the rest of the Marines dash up the street.

Within a minute, they see Kelly and Luke's lightsabers flashing and twirling. They quickly see a squad of stormtroopers approaching the two Jedi from the side. Before the stormtroopers can even attempt their surprise attack, Nantz and his squad fire their M4s, killing all but one of the stormtroopers in seconds. Kelly notices the last one and cuts him down with a stroke of her saber.

Nantz and his squad hurry forward and duck down behind a broken speeder for cover. Nantz pops his head up and sees a whole platoon of stormtroopers approaching from an alley situated at a diagonal. Nantz quickly loads a grenade into the grenade launcher attached to his M4. He quickly pops back up a second later and fires. The grenade hits in the midst of them, exploding and killing eight of them. The others scatter for cover.

"Santos, Stavrou, advance to the next cover position!" Nantz orders. Santos and Stavrou both nod before standing up and racing forward about ten feet before ducking behind the ruins of an AT-ST. They then start laying down covering fire, allowing the rest of the squad to dash forward and join them. Stavrou then sets up his machine gun atop the wreckage of the walker and starts firing it into the ranks of the Imperial troops. About 20 stormtroopers are killed before the others start ducking for cover.

Another Imperial AT-ST lumbers into view, firing its laser cannons in the direction Nantz' squad. The Marines duck for cover, and Nantz calls out over the radio, "This is Master Gunnery Sergeant Michael Nantz! Taking fire from an AT-ST! Requesting covering fire! Popping white smoke to mark my position!" He then pulls the pin from a white smoke grenade and tosses it a few feet away.

About a quarter mile back, the M1 gunner quickly trains the tank's gun on the AT-ST. He centers the walker in his gunsight and depresses the trigger. A HEAT round is discharged from the gun, hitting its target less than a second later, tearing apart the head of the walker. The wreckage then tumbles over a second later.

Nantz smiles a bit as he watches the wreckage tumble. He then sees Luke and Kelly dash forward and attack several stormtroopers.

"I'm crossing to the Majors! Cover me!" Nantz yells. He stands up and sprints over to Luke and Kelly as his squad lays down covering fire.

As Nantz reaches Luke and Kelly, he shouts over the sound of combat ringing all around them, "We've hit 'em pretty hard, but they're gonna start brining up reinforcements soon! What do you want us to do?"

"We need to hit them as hard as possible before they can bring up their reinforcements. I want you in the front lines. I want all troops to advance at full speed. We take as much ground as we can, and then we hold it until the 3rd can come to reinforce us," Kelly says.

"Sounds like a plan," Nantz says with a grin. He then dashes back to his squad.

"Alright, sit tight for just a minute," Nantz says to his squad.

About 30 seconds later, two SA-10s dive in on a strafing run. The Warthogs destroy a pair of AT-STs and kill over a hundred stormtroopers.

"All troops advance!" Luke calls out over the radio as the A-10s pull up out of their attack runs. Hundreds of Marines bellow war cries as they charge after Luke and Kelly.

(February 8, 2019)

A series of explosions rock the street, and Loginov ducks for cover. Popping back up, Loginov fires his HK416 at the stormtroopers approaching him, killing three of them.

Loginov had been assigned to assist the Russian forces assigned to seize the Imperial Executive Building. The army included the 3rd Motor Rifle Division, the 144th Guards Motor Rifle Division, and the 236th Artillery Brigade, a total of over 40,000 troops.

Loginov glances behind him as he hears a rumble, and sees two T-90 tanks rumbling up the street past his position. On one of the tanks, a machine gunner fires the tank's .50 caliber machine gun, gunning down a squad of stormtroopers. At the same time, Loginov sees the other tank rolling towards a wounded stormtrooper. Before Loginov can do anything, the tank runs right over the stormtrooper, crushing him under its tread.

Loginov looks away. Even though he's used to it, excessive gore can gross him out a little bit.

Loginov sees an incinerator trooper coming up from the left. He quickly raises his weapon and fires, killing the trooper and also setting off his flamethrower's tank, which explodes and incinerates him a second later.

Loginov sighs as he hears the familiar thudding footsteps of an AT-AT a second later. He looks down the street and just sees an AT-AT in the distance, heading straight for them.

The two T-90s halt where they are, training their main guns on the incoming walker. Almost simultaneously, they fire HEAT rounds at the walkers front right leg. Both projectiles hit near the knee and go right through the leg. The leg collapses, and the AT-AT goes with it.

"Companies A and B on me! Artillery, lay down covering fire!" Loginov shouts over his radio, igniting his lightsaber for a moment and holding it up to show his position.

The two companies of troops race up around Loginov, and as soon as they've gathered, Loginov charges down the street. About a mile back, four 152mm howitzers fire into the ranks of stormtroopers facing Loginov's men, killing a few dozen stormtroopers.

Loginov fires his assault rifle, gunning down two stormtroopers. The rest of the Russians fire their weapons as they spread out around Loginov to cover more ground.

A platoon of stormtroopers comes rushing at Loginov. Loginov fires his assault rifle and guns down several stormtroopers before one of them tackles Loginov, causing Loginov to drop his weapon.

Without hesitation, Loginov shifts his body and gets the stormtrooper in a headlock, snapping his neck with one twist of his arms. Loginov then leaps to his feet, and seeing a riot control stormtrooper rushing at him with an electrostaff, whips his lightsaber off his belt, igniting it as he does so, cutting the stormtrooper in two from hip to shoulder.

Wasting no time, Loginov attacks the remaining stormtroopers as he also pulls his combat knife out. He lunges forward, driving his lightsaber through the chest of a stormtrooper and pushing forward so hard he pushes the trooper's body back until his saber goes through another trooper.

Loginov yanks his saber out of the two troopers and whips around, beheading another stormtrooper. As another trooper raises his blaster, Loginov cuts off his hands with his saber before lunging forward and driving his knife into the trooper's eye. He then yanks the knife out, blood dripping from it.

Loginov whips his head around and sees two more stormtroopers stepping towards him with their blasters raised. He lunges forward and cuts one in half with his saber before stabbing his knife into the other trooper's exposed armpit, killing the trooper. Without hesitating, Loginov pulls the knife out, whips around, and throws it into the throat of a stormtrooper a few yards behind him about to shoot him in the back.

Loginov's eyes flit to the side, and he sees a stormtrooper about to punch him, and three more stormtroopers rushing him. Loginov grabs the first stormtrooper's fist and throws him to the ground. He then steps onto the trooper's back and uses the trooper's body as a springboard to launch himself into the air. As he does, he pulls out his blaster pistol, fires it twice into the back of the stormtrooper he just threw to the ground before swiftly returning it to his belt.

As Loginov leaps into the air, he spins through the air, cutting down two of the three stormtroopers in a single stroke and kicking the third in the face as he comes down. He then drives his saber into the trooper's chest, killing him.

Loginov regains his feet. He glances behind him and sees several stormtroopers running towards him.

Loginov charges towards them, slowing down just long enough to retrieve his knife from the one trooper's throat. He ducks under their blaster bolts, cutting one's legs off before slashing his throat open with his knife. He then springs forward, stabbing another trooper in the stomach before slashing it out of his body and cutting the last trooper in two.

Loginov stands up and scans his surroundings. The troops of the two companies are fighting all around him. He sees several squads walking into buildings to clear them while others are fighting troopers in the street. He sees several engaged in fierce hand to hand combat while others are gunning down any trooper in range. He sees one Russian sergeant wrestling with a stormtrooper who has lost his helmet. As he watches, the sergeant manages to get on top and starts remorselessly beating the stormtrooper in the face with his fists. He keeps this up for a moment before another Russian troop who has lost his assault rifle rushes up with a large piece of debris he picked up off the street. The first soldier leans back to allow the second troop to throw the debris down, crushing the trooper's head.

Movement close by draws Loginov's attention. Glancing to the side, he sees two death troopers armed with electrostaffs charging at him. Loginov twirls his lightsaber once in hand before charging to attack them.

One of the death troopers jabs his staff at Loginov, who blocks it with his saber. Loginov tries to strike at the trooper's head with his saber, but the trooper ducks. Loginov tries going for another slash, this time to the waist, but the trooper blocks it again. The second trooper tries to jab his staff at Loginov's waist, but Loginov just manages to avoid it. He then ducks under a swipe from the first trooper and stabs his saber upward into the trooper's stomach, killing him.

Loginov pulls his saber out and starts to turn to the second death trooper. However, before he can fully turn to face the trooper, the trooper again jabs his electrostaff at Loginov, this time hitting him on his hand. The shock runs through his body, causing Loginov to cry out once from the pain and drop his saber.

The death trooper follows this up with a strong punch to the face, knocking Loginov off his feet and onto his back. Immediately, Loginov lifts his legs up and flips himself back onto his feet.

Loginov throws a right hook then hits the trooper right on the cheek part of his helmet. The trooper tries to swing his electrostaff at Loginov, but Loginov sidesteps and grabs the staff, spinning around to rip the staff from the trooper's hands and throwing it aside before turning back around to face the death trooper.

The death trooper throws a punch right at Loginov's chest, but Loginov easily parries the blow but punching him right in the center of his mask, hard enough to crack the composite making up the mask. He then kicks the death trooper in the stomach, knocking him stumbling back. Loginov then takes a running leap at the trooper and wraps his legs around the trooper's head. He then throws his body backwards in back flip, throwing the death trooper over him and sending him tumbling to the ground. Loginov whips back around to face him, and as the death trooper is trying to recover, leaps on top of him, pinning him to the ground, before drawing his knife back out of its sheath and driving it into the trooper's neck, killing him.

Loginov steps up from the body, staring down at the dead trooper before walking over to where his saber fell and picking it back up. Loginov then looks up and scans the street. As he does, he sees more troops have advanced to reinforce the two companies that came with him, but a battalion of stormtroopers is advancing on their right flank. Returning his lightsaber to his belt, he also picks up his HK416 where he dropped it. Checking briefly to make sure its working again, he cocks it again and charges to assist his countrymen.

(February 13, 2019)

A series of explosions from Japanese tank shells tears through a building confirmed to be a stormtrooper nest. The shells tear through the bottom of the building, destroying the supports on the lower levels, causing the building to collapse, sending a wave of debris and dust flying out in all directions.

About half a mile away, Jedi Grandmaster Plo Koon watches as the building collapses as several SF-15s make attack runs against stormtroopers up ahead. The commander over the tanks had authorized the attack because it had been confirmed there were no civilians inside.

Plo had been assigned to lead an army of six divisions, a regiment, and two brigades, including all of the Japanese forces, as well as the two Italian divisions present at Coruscant, a Korean division, and the Indian 61st Cavalry. Their target is one of the most important targets in the assault on Coruscant. The Imperial palace.

The Joint Command had made it clear that the Imperial Palace and the Senate building were the two highest priority targets in the invasion. Each one was fiercely defended. The Japanese, Italians, and Koreans reached the ring of tight Imperial defenses around the Imperial Palace almost 48 hours ago, but had stalled from the stiffness of the Imperial defense.

However, after a day and a half of fierce fighting, the Starfleet had managed to get a large strike force of fighters bombers down to their position, which had conducted a series of airstrikes against Imperial positions, giving the Japanese 7th Armored Division and 15th Brigade the chance they need to break through the Imperial lines. Before the Empire could counterattack, the Japanese 10th Division and Italian Division "Vittorio Veneto" had come to reinforce the breakthrough force, widening the gap in the Imperial lines, allowing the remaining three remaining divisions and the second brigade to attack elsewhere along the Imperial lines, fracturing the Imperial lines in several places.

The Empire had pulled back to strengthen their defenses to try and better defend the Palace, but the unrelenting advances by the Japanese, Italian, Indian and Korean forces and airstrikes by fighters had pushed them back and kept them unorganized.

Now, Plo and the 10th Division are only about a mile away from the Palace. The 7th and the Vittorio Veneto division are holding back the Imperial forces, keeping a gap open in their lines. With the destruction of the building, and the attacks by the SF-15s, they have an almost completely clear shot to the Palace.

"All forces of the 10th Division. Begin your advance towards the Palace," Plo says over his commlink before hopping onto a Type 96 armored personnel carrier, which takes off down the street.

A vanguard of Type 96s, led by three Type 74 tanks, advance down the street towards the Palace at 25 miles per hour. On the tanks, soldiers manning the machine guns fire the weapons at any stormtrooper in range, trying to keep them away from the tanks and the personnel carriers. Dozens of stormtroopers are gunned down as the gunners inside the turrets also fire their main guns at any target off opportunity they can find. It doesn't take them long to reach the entrance to the Palace.

As they reach the entrance to the palace, the three tanks fire their main guns, destroying the doors into the Palace. The personnel carriers advance even closer and stop, deploying about a hundred Japanese troops. The soldiers begin to deploy into a defensive formation around the entrance, determined to hold it until the rest of the Japanese troops reach them.

A battalion of stormtroopers, accompanied by several AT-STs, quickly begin to advance on the Japanese troops. However, Plo gets on the commlink, calling for air support. Within moments, 4 SA-10s dive in for their attack runs. Two fire missiles at the AT-STs, while the other two begin strafing the stormtroopers. All three AT-STs are destroyed on the first run. All four Warthogs then continue their strafing runs, strafing the stormtroopers again and again until the stormtroopers are all dead.

Then, as more Japanese troops start coming up towards the Palace, they hear a strange sound. Scanning their surroundings, they see the horses and cavalrymen of the Indian 61st Cavalry charging towards Palace. The 61st had been held in reserve until the perfect moment, and now had been deployed to take advantage of the weakened Imperial lines. However, the horses are not alone. On either side of the regiment are two Japanese Type 90 tank, and flying over the horses are a pair of Mi-24 Hinds and an AH-64 Apache.

Directly ahead of the 61st is a formation of stormtroopers, about the size of a small regiment. The three helicopters fly ahead and fire rockets and their mounted cannons into the midst of the stormtroopers, killing dozens. Then, the machine gunners on the four tanks and the Indian cavalrymen open fire on the stormtroopers. The stormtroopers begin to panic as several hundred are gunned down under the remorseless charge.

The cavalry charge is unstoppable, and in the space of just a few minutes the stormtroopers have been destroyed, and the Indians continue towards the Japanese troops. As they are galloping up, one of the Japanese troops mutters to himself, "Strangest cavalry charge ever."

The Indians quickly form a defensive perimeter around the entrance to the Palace as the Japanese prepare to enter the Palace. After several minutes, Plo looks around and sees that 1,200 Japanese troops have already gathered around the entrance, with more men from the division advancing towards the entrance to reinforce them.

Plo decides this is a large enough force to begin the assault on the Palace. He calls through his commlink so he can be heard over the sound of combat, "This is General Plo Koon. All forces of the 10th Division, advance into the Palace."

All of the Japanese troops let out war cries, and they follow Plo into the Palace. Coming right behind them are the two Type 90 tanks and the AH-64. The entrance to the Palace is so large that the tanks and helicopter can easily fit through.

The Japanese immediately come under blaster fire from stormtroopers inside the Palace. Plo deflects every blaster bolt fired at him as the Japanese soldiers fire back. The AH-64 rotates in midair, its pilot firing his 30mm cannons at every stormtrooper he can see, with the machine gunners on the tanks adding fire from their weapons. Dozens of stormtroopers are killed, and the rest retreat.

Plo leads the Japanese further into the palace. The tanks and helicopter wait in the entrance hall, as there are no passages out of it that they can fit through.

More and more Japanese troops from the 10th continue to pour into the Palace, spreading out to clear the entire Palace of Imperial personnel.

Plo leads two companies of troops up towards the center spire that contains the Emperor's throne room Taking a lift up, they emerge on a higher floor and make their way towards another lift. They encounter several squads of stormtroopers, but they eliminate the stormtroopers with ease.

Reaching the second set of lifts, Plo and a platoon of Japanese troops board the lifts and ride up to the top of the center spire.

As the doors of the lifts open, the Japanese troops stream out, weapons raised. The Japanese quickly gun down the few stormtroopers guarding the lifts.

They quickly make their across to the entrance to the throne room and enter it. The Emperor's throne sits empty against the window behind it. As they do, Plo slowly lowers his lightsaber and looks around the chamber, remembering the last time he was in this chamber decades ago when it was a second Council meeting chamber and depository. The Japanese stay quiet, knowing that this is sure to be an emotional moment for Plo.

However, after several moments, Plo turns to the troops as he says, "Alright. It's time. Take the entrance to the outside.

The Japanese troops and make their way out of the chamber to a doorway that leads to the outside of the spire. They begin climbing up a ladder that leads up to the very top of the spire.

At the top of the spire is a small platform, with a series of poles extending up into the sky. Glancing around, they can see smoke, fire, and explosions across every visible part of the city as hundreds of fighter bombers streak over the city, waiting to be called in for air support.

The Japanese take just a moment to look at the view of the city before refocusing on their task. They make their way over to one of the poles on the platform, which is a flagpole. One of the Japanese troops reaches into his large backpack and opens it, pulling a garrison-sized flag.

The Japanese troops form up, and two of them prepares the lines on the flagpole as the others begin to unfold the flag. After a minute, the troops hook the rings of the flag up to the lines on the flagpole, and the two manning the lines begin hauling the flag up as the others support the flage, and one soldier takes pictures of the raising, as a bugler begins to play the national anthem of Japan.

In matter of seconds, the flag reaches the top of the flagpole. The two soldiers on the lines secure them, and the soldier with the camera takes a few more pictures as, across the Palace's surroundings, both Terran and Imperial troops begin to notice the flag of the Rising Sun flying over the Imperial Palace.

(Several hours later)

In the bridge of the hidden Super Star Destroyer, Ysanne Isard is watching reports of the battle. Despite heavy resistance from the Imperial ground forces, and the fact they still outnumber the Terrans, the Terrans and their allies are gaining ground.

"Director!" an officer calls out.

"What?" Isard demands.

"Look at this!" the officer says, pointing to his screen. Isard walks over and looks at the screen, and sees a picture of the white flag with the Rising Sun flying over the Imperial palace.

"The Terrans have captured the Palace," Isard mutters. Instantly she knows that this will cause mass demoralization among the Empire. This is not the first important building taken by the Terran Alliance. The Naval Intelligence Headquarters has the Star of David flying over it, and as of an hour ago, the Imperial Executive building has the Russian tricolor flying over it. If the Terran forces advancing on the Senate building can take that too, the amount of demoralization that would go through the Imperial ranks would be enougn to end the battle, and Isard knows it.

Isard stands up and looks around the bridge. "The time has come. Break the ship free and launch!" she orders. Some of the bridge officers exchange nervous glances, but move to carry it out.

(Freedom)

Thrawn looks down at a series of reports coming in from the surface. A few troops from the Nigerian 8th Division have reported hearing strange noises coming from beneath the surface of the city about 50 miles from the Imperial Palace.

At the same time, he's been paying close attention to the progress of Terran ground forces. They've taken heavy casualties, with over 600,000 casualties reported so far, but they've made significant progress, having taken significant ground and captured several important buildings including the Naval Intelligence Headquarters, the Imperial Executive Building, and the Imperial Palace.

Suddenly, one of the communications officers calls out, "Sir, I'm getting several calls from the 8th Division! They're reporting very strange, very loud voices, and they're reporting an earthquake."

Thrawn feels a bit confused. Coruscant doesn't have earthquakes. He begins to wonder what could be causing it.

"Pull up video feed of the area," Thrawn orders. Within moments, video feed from a drone flying over the site.

Thrawn inspects the footage, looking for any sign of anything out of the ordinary. He can tell that the buildings are shaking, but can't figure out what's causing it.

Suddenly, the surface seems to erupt upwards, turning multiple square miles of structures into rubble. As the debris cloud, to the shock of everyone watching, the Lusankya rises out of the devastated area, heading up into the atmosphere.

Thrawn stares at the footage of the Super Star Destroyer until it hits the drone, and the feed vanishes. Then, he says, "Impressive strategy."

After several more moments, he orders, "Order the interdiction cruisers to activate their gravity wells. Order up all available commando units and Mandalorians to prepare to board that ship, and prepare additional boarding parties to assist them. Order all battlecruisers to prepare to engage. However, explicitly order them to only fight to disable, not to destroy."

The Freedom and all available battlecruisers move into better positions to engage the Lusankya. At the same time, in the hangar bay of the Freedom, which has been serving as the headquarters for all of the special operations forces deployed to the battle, hundreds of commandos and Mandalorian warriors begin boarding stealth shuttles to prepare to board the Lusankya. From what little they know, they know there's likely to be a much smaller crew on this ship than normal, and the New Republic will want to capture the ship.

As the Lusankya rises out of the atmosphere, Isard quickly realizes that she is in trouble. The Terran Super Star Destroyer and about half a dozen battlecruisers are right in their path, and she can just see interdiction cruisers in the distance. She can also see some New Republic Starhawks moving in to assist them.

Isard quickly realizes that she's in trouble. There is no way for the Lusankya to escape. Determined to do all she can to damage the Terran fleet before her death she knows is coming, she shouts, "Open fire with all available batteries, and set a collision course for that Terran Super Star Destroyer!"

The Lusankya quickly opens fire with every battery that can fire, and the Terran ships quickly begin to return fire.

As Thrawn watches from the Freedom's bridge, he suddenly sees the Lusankya start to turn in his direction. Within a minute, he realizes that the massive ship is heading straight for the Freedom, intent on ramming the larger ship.

"So, they've turned kamikaze," Thrawn says. Ever since studying WWII, Thrawn has taken to using the term kamikaze for suicidal tactics. He's always found it somewhat impressive the level of dedication the Japanese of WWII had for their cause.

Now, however, his immediate concern is with protecting his flagship. However, he has already prepared a plan to deal with exactly this situation.

"Contact all battlecruisers and those Starhawks. Engage Plan Tango-1-2," Thrawn orders.

"Yes, sir," a communications officer responds as he begins to send out the order.

Aboard the Lusankya, Isard is focused on the Freedom, which is getting closer and closer. Suddenly, a series of explosions wrack the ship. Isard can easily sense that they've come from behind her.

"What was that?" she asks.

"Dozens of Terran fighters made attack runs on our stern, and they've destroyed three of our engines," an officer says.

Isard feels angry. This will slow down the ship considerably.

Suddenly, she feels the ship shake. To her surprise, it seems to shake in several directions one after the other, then begins to slow down even further.

"What is happening?" Isard demands.

"Director, it seems like we've been grabbed by multiple tractor beams!" an officer calls out.

"What?!" Isard yells.

Aboard the Freedom, Thrawn grins slightly as he hears an officer call out, "Sir, we have the ship restrained!"

Plan Tango-1-2 was a plan devised by Thrawn late in the war that was capable of restraining large ships including Executor class ships. The tactic revolved around using Repulse class battlecruisers and New Republic Starhawks, as well as the Freedom if it was present, both of which had very powerful, state of the art tractor beams, to surround the target ship and activate their tractor beams. The pulling force from the various tractor beams from all directions would keep the ship from moving.

"Good. Deploy the boarding forces," Thrawn orders.

In the hangar of the Freedom, dozens of shuttles begin taking off and heading for the Lusankya, hidden from their sensors. The shuttle carry Zulus, SEALs, Deltas, Spetsnaz, SAS, JTF 2, Jaegers, KSK, Sayeret Matkal, GROM, Black Storks, Clone Force 5, and about 60 Mandalorians. Leading them is Major Ronen.

The shuttle swarm around the Lusankya. Some of them fly right into the hangar to secure it for further boarding forces while others attach to various airlocks all around the ship.

The shuttle carrying Clone Force 5 and 4 Zulus attaches to an airlock very close to the bridge. After the airlock is opened, Ronen leaps through it, followed by the clones and Zulus.

"Stay sharp," Ronen says as he ignites his lightsaber. The team of 13 turns and heads straight for the bridge.

As they head for the bridge, the team comes across a squad of stormtroopers. Two Zulus fire their weapons, killing five stormtroopers. The stormtroopers then fire on them, but Ronen easily blocks the blaster bolts with his lightsaber. As he does, the Zulus and Crosshair fire their weapons around Ronen and his lightsaber, killing the remaining stormtroopers in seconds.

Without a word, Ronen starts running down the hall, his team following close behind. The team encounter two more squads of stormtroopers, but kill them with ease.

Not long after boarding the ship, Ronen and his team reach the bridge. Ronen uses his lightsaber to cut open the door into the bridge. Ronen leads his team through the breach and onto the bridge.

Two Zulus quickly kill the stormtroopers on the bridge. As they do, Ronen stares straight at Ysanne Isard and says, "Ysanne Isard, you are being placed under arrest. Come quietly, and you may live."

Isard glares at them with fury. Then, she reaches for her blaster. Fives, his reflexes still as sharp as ever despite being in the equivalent of his late 70s, aims his assault blaster and fires two bolts, hitting Isard in the chest and killing her.

"Anyone else?" Fives asks. The rest of the small bridge crew all raise their hands in surrender.

Ronen makes his way over to the communications station as Tech gets to work on trying to deactivate all of the ship's weapons systems. He activates the ship's intercom and says over it, "This is Major David Ronen of the Anti-Sith Assault Team of the Terran Alliance. We have taken control of the ship's bridge. We have hundreds of elite commandos on board this ship, and we have further boarding forces on the way. I am encouraging all Imperial forces on board this ship to surrender, or else we will wipe you all out."

Every stormtrooper and Imperial officer on the ship hears this transmission, and many begin to surrender to any Terran commandos they encounter. As further boarding parties of Terran and Republic forces begin to board the ship, more Imperial personnel begin to surrender. Within a few hours, the last Imperial personnel aboard surrender, and the Lusankya is under Terran control.

(February 23, 2019)

Kelly swings her lightsaber to block another blaster bolt. After days and days of intense fighting, the American, Pakistani, and clone forces have finally reached the Senate building. Now, Kelly and Luke are leading several hundred American troops from the 101st Airborne up towards the Emperor's office as other troops from the 101st are clearing the rest of the building.

A riot control trooper rushes towards her with his electrostaff. However, before he can get to her, Luke lunges out of nowhere and drives his saber through the trooper's chest.

Several American troops race ahead of Kelly, firing their weapons and gunning down the remaining stormtroopers in view. Kelly takes a moment to catch her breath before hurrying to retake her position in the lead along with Luke.

Kelly leads them towards a staircase, and they ascend carefully, watching for any stormtroopers that may try to fire on them. Thankfully, they are able to get to the top of the stairs without being fired upon.

Emerging onto the same floor as the Emperor's office, Kelly and Luke quickly come under fire from a squad of stormtroopers. Both twirl their lightsabers, deflecting every blaster bolt fired at them. Then, the soldiers from the 101st race up around them, firing their guns at them. One by one, the stormtroopers fall dead before the last one collapses, their blood pooling on the floor of the hall.

Kelly urges her troops forward. They advance down the hallway, reaching the office within a few minutes, getting through several more squads of stormtroopers. Outside the entrance to the office, they encounter four death troopers guarding the door to the office. Kelly and Luke charge to engage them, as several American troops fire their weapons, managing to kill the other two. Kelly kills her trooper by removing his head with her lightsaber, while Luke kills the other by stabbing his saber through his chest.

One of the soldiers gets through the door's lock, and the door opens. Luke and Kelly lead the troops into the room, and find themselves face to face with several stormtroopers and an Imperial Royal Guardsman.

Luke and Kelly charge at the Guard as the soldiers fire on the stormtroopers, killing them all in moments. As the last one falls dead, Kelly and Luke slash their sabers at the Guard, who blocks their sabers with his Force pike. He tries to stab his pike at Luke's head, but Luke manages to deflect it.

The three exchange a flurry of blows, but the Guard quickly finds that he is unable to keep up with both of them at the same time. Kelly lands the first blow when she manages to cut the side of his leg. Then, Luke gets lucky and cuts off one of the Guard's fingers.

The Guard kicks Luke back and tries to strike at Kelly's head. Kelly just magaes to block the strike. However, before the Guard can do anything, Luke lunges for him and drives his saber through the Guard's chest. He pulls it back out a second later, and the Guard collapses dead.

Luke and Kelly then turns towards the desk in the office, where Mas Amedda is sitting with about twenty five M4 carbines aimed at his face.

"Grand Vizier Mas Amedda. You have lost. You can surrender peacefully or we can take you forcefully," Kelly says firmly.

Faced with two Jedi and over two dozen crack American troops, Mas Amedda holds his hands out to show he has no weapon and says, "Okay. Okay. I surrender."

Several soldiers surround Amedda, ready to take him into custody as others move to stakeout positions. As they do, Kelly activates her commlink, switching it to the frequency of Rommel's command center aboard the Freedom and says, "This is Jedi Knight Kelly Adams. We have captured Grand Vizier Mas Amedda, and the Senate building is almost fully clear of Imperial forces."

As Kelly is making this transmission, up on the roof of the Senate building, a company of soldiers is carrying out a symbolic duty. While they had earlier raised a small flag on top of the Senate building to signify they had entered the building and were taking it, they have now constructed a massive flagpole. At the same time, several soldiers have brought a massive, specially made flag that is almost 80 feet long and over 60 feet wide up to the top of the Senate building. Now, as a bugler begins to play the National Anthem of the United States, several hundred American troops begin to raise the flag up the flagpole. The flag is so heavy it takes six people manning the ropes to haul it up, and it still take them a full minute to haul it up. But, by the end of the National Anthem, the Star Spangled Banner is flying over the Senate building, visible for miles. The American soldiers allow themselves small smiles, all of them saluting the flag as it waves in the wind. In the area surrounding the Senate building, Imperial forces see the flag waving over the Senate building and begin to throw down their weapons and surrender.

Pictures of the American flag flying over the Senate Building and news of Amedda's surrender begin to spread around Coruscant, boosting the Allied forces and demoralizing the Empire. The downfall of the Empire is nearer than ever.

(February 25, 2019)

On board the bridge of the Freedom, surrounded by several displays, as the reports continue to come in, both Thrawn and Rommel feel a sense of satisfaction flooding through them as they watch the displays.

In the two days since Mas Amedda declared his intention to surrender, Imperial forces have been falling or surrendering all over the planet. Just an hour ago, the last major Imperial army surrendered to Terran forces.

There are still plenty of scattered Imperial forces on the planet, and it is known that there are still Imperial forces in some of the lower levels that they will have to clear out. While the Battle of Coruscant is not yet completely over, the main portion of the battle is over. Although the Terran Alliance has suffered heavy casualties, with almost 900,000 killed, missing, and wounded just with the Terran forces, the Empire has suffered horrendous casualties, and several million Imperial personnel have surrendered and been taken prisoner. No matter how much longer the fighting on the planet continues, it is clear to everyone involved that the Empire has lost this battle, and by extension, the war.

"I think it is time to contact the Joint Command," Thrawn says.

"I agree," Rommel says.

One of their communications officers begins trying to establish a connection to the Joint Command. It takes a few minutes before a hologram of Grand General Dempsey comes up.

"Gentlemen. Good to finally hear from you," Dempsey says.

"Indeed, General. I have news for you. Grand Vizier Mas Amedda has surrendered, and most of the remaining Imperial forces have either surrendered or been destroyed. The battle is mostly over, and the Empire, it seems, is going to formally surrender. Thrawn is going to take a task force to Anaxes to destroy an Imperial fleet stationed there that is under the control of an admiral we believe will refuse to surrender, but I believe the war is almost over," Rommel says.

Dempsey smiles. "Very good, my friends. Our faith in you and our forces has not been disappointed. Keep me updated on the progress and any new developments, and I will contact the New Republic Senate and I will inform the General Assembly of the news. I imagine it will not be much longer before there is an official surrender," Dempsey says.

"Very good. We will be in touch," Thrawn says. Dempsey nods, and the transmission is cut.

Thrawn and Rommel look at each other before Rommel says, "I'm going to go have a word with Amedda regarding an Imperial surrender. Contact me if there is further developments."

"I will," Thrawn says simply.

Rommel leaves the bridge and heads down to the hangar to board a shuttle to head down to the planet's surface. As he leaves, Thrawn looks out of the viewport at the planet below him, and allows himself a small smile. Finally, after 5 and half years of war, Coruscant is in the hands of the Terran Alliance, and the Empire has been crushed.

And, I'll end the chapter there. Hope you liked it.

So, the Battle of Coruscant is pretty much over, and the Empire is defeated. Next chapter will deal with Thrawn's mission to Anaxes and the Imperial surrender. I hope you guys are excited to see it.

I also hope you like the flag raisings I did. So, since I am an American, I had to do an American flag raising. As for the other I wrote out, I just randomly chose Japan. I also hope you liked me showing Plo returning to the former Jedi Temple.

I also hope you liked my descriptions of street combat, as well as how brutal it got at times, especially with the Russians. I based that partly from descriptions of street combat between the Soviets and Germans in the Battle of Berlin.

As for those who might have been wondering about the Lusankya, you now have your answer. It will be given over to the New Republic, and I may use it frequently in the sequel trilogy story. So, following both canon and this chapter, the New Republic has captured four Executor class Super Star Destroyers. I will say that one of them was part of their fleet that was at Jakku and again here at Coruscant.

So, we are coming to the end. We have maybe half a dozen chapters left in this story before it's over. I am so glad for all of your support, and I look forward to your continued support.

I will try and upload the next chapter as soon as my busy schedule permits. Until then, please leave a review, and stay tuned!
