It's a Sin to Worry
Missing Moment from TCOT Moth Eaten Mink
This scene takes place after Morey Allan and Dixie Dayton have been arrested and Perry sends Paul out to find out how Frank Hoxie knew they were in room 721. I hope you enjoy.
"What do you want me to do Perry?"
"You Della," he replied as he moved closer to her? "Why…you just stick around and help me worry."
Della turned and smiled up at him before both of them look away from one another and she returned to the task of his briefcase.
Perry's eyes drifted over her, a soft smile on his face. Steadfast, loyal, kind, generous, and loving Della Street, willing to do any task he asked, and all he could bring himself to ask her was to help him worry. He shook himself mentally and reached out, taking hold of her hand and wordlessly caressing it softly with his thumb.
She squeezed his hand and turned to face him, the smile on her face reserved solely for him, but he wasn't privy to that knowledge yet. "You know, my mother always said it was a sin to worry," she teased.
His dimpled grin deepened, and he pulled her to him for a fiery kiss. "Well then, if we're going to sin, we might as well make it worth the confession, don't you think?"
He was met by that raised eyebrow that he loved dearly and a throaty chuckle. "My mother warned me about fellas like you, too," she replied, slipping her arms around his neck.
"Sounds to me like your mother talked an awful lot," he whispered, as his lips began a trail up her neck to nibble her ear, while his hands roamed freely.
"She did, but I always had a listening problemmmmm," she replied as Perry hit a particularly sensitive spot and caused a salacious moan that she felt all the way to her toes.
She couldn't see the grin that spread across his face from the sound, but she could definitely feel the effect it had on his body.
His lips found hers once more and he pushed her back the mere inches to the desk. His feverish hands found the bottom of the soft pink and white blouse that fit her perfectly and began lifting it off her heavenly body. Oh how he loved undressing her, unwrapping her from her clothing like the wondrous gift he knew her to be.
It was at that moment Gertie called through the intercom. "Mr. Mason, there's an urgent call for you."
Perry Mason growled like a bear and took a deep inhale of breath. "Dammit," he cursed.
Della Street bit her lower lip to keep from laughing at him as he reached over to press the intercom button. "Who is it Gertie?"
"They wouldn't give their name sir but they said you'd want to take the call. Something about a mink coat."
"Alright Gertie," he sighed, "put them through."
Della Street's body was shaking now in a fit of giggles. "I guess this little sinner will have to wait," she teased slipping out of his embrace and winking at him as she disappeared behind the door to her office.
He couldn't help but grin in spite of his aggravation. Just as well I suppose, I haven't been to confession in years.
