Chapter 27: Visiting Windfall Island

The party situated themselves on the boat. The boat had plenty of rooms for the crew to sleep in. Link walked up to the side of the boat and looked into the distant sea with concern on his face. There was no sign of land in sight around the whole boat, just the endless blue ocean around them. After situating his belongings in his cabin, Poump walked out to the main deck and saw a Goron playing some cards with a Female Rito. The Goron noticed Poump. "Hey brother! Wanna play a game with us?" The Goron asked.

"It's lots of fun." The Rito added.

"I'll think about it." Poump replied.

"Take your time bro, being out at sea is something a lot of us need to be accustomed to." The Goron said.

Poump looked at the ocean. "The thing is, I've already been out at sea before. It's been a long time." He walked towards the railing of the boat and stood next to Link, who was looking out at the sea.

"Hey there kid." Link said when he felt Poump's presence. "How long has it been?"

"Wha?" Poump was confused by the question.

"How long has it been since you've been with your folks? On Windfall Island." Link replied. He looked at Poump in order to read his face.

"Oh yeah." Poump replied. "The last time I was on Windfall Island I was 7 years old. When the news came around that the Calamity in Hyrule was gone, my parents sent me to Hyrule in order to get a new life for myself. It's a good thing my friends also came along."

"That sounds great. Do you remember what it was like living on Windfall Island?" Link asked.

"I only remember small bits and pieces. It's kind of a blur." Poump said.

Link looked at Poump understandably. "I've been there too, Poump." Link then looked out to the ocean with a look of worry on his face. Poump decided to step away from Link and acquaint himself with the other crew members on the boat. He noticed that besides the Goron and the Rito, a Zora and a Gerudo joined in the card game they were playing. Poump decided to sit down with them.

"Mind if I join?" Poump said as he sat down to play.

"Sure thing!" The Goron said. The Gerudo took some of the cards and dealt them out to Poump. He picked up 7 cards and read the back of them.

"Pokemon?" Poump said to himself.

"Yeah! Never played Pokemon before?" The Goron said.

"I've heard of it, just never took the time to play it before." Poump replied to the Goron.

"Tell you what boyo, I'll explain the rules to you!" The Goron started explaining the rules to Poump. Poump started getting a hang of the rules and started playing. About 2 hours passed by, but him and the others were having tons of fun playing the game with each other. The Gerudo would shuffle the cards out of a deck of about 170 cards after every round was done. A standard round of Pokemon took about 25 minutes to play completely. After who knows how many rounds they were playing, Poump started to feel a lot more comfortable with the crewmates. Poump also started hating the Goron a lot less. Goggodu from Castle Town gave him a sour feeling around a lot of Gorons, but seeing how nice this Goron was made him think differently about Gorons, just a little bit.

Uten was in her cabin, slurping away at the last of the potions that Link gave her. The potions helped her tremendously, but she could still feel the small but painful shock of electricity permeate through her body every now and then.

Zhago decided to explore the ship a little bit. He saw a small Hylian wearing a blue pirate's cap and a striped shirt walk inside of a door. Zhago followed them, sneaking behind them. He brought out his Eye of Truth and examined the Hylian. They didn't change at all. He kept following them, as he had a suspicious feeling about them. The shipmate walked into another room and Zhago followed behind. He found himself in a room that was lined up with cages stretching from one end of the boat to the next. This gave Zhago a unique perspective on how big this boat was, as the cages seemed to be lined out so far that you could just barely see the other end of the boat. Zhago looked inside of the cages and saw the monsters inside of them. Bokoblins, Lizalfos, and Moblins. There were also 2 Lynels, who were separated from each other. The small Hylian picked up a few buckets and tossed some pieces of meat inside of each of the cages. He also tossed some fruits and vegetables inside of the cages as well, which surprised Zhago as he only knew of these monsters as carnivorous types. The small Hylian turned around and flinched a little bit when he noticed Zhago.

"How long have you been following me?" The Hylian asked.

"A minute." Zhago said. "I just came in here to admire the majesty of these…" Zhago noticed a Bokoblin wolf down on some meat, and then immediately picked its nose. "Divine beings."

"As terrible as they look, they do have lives. We're just not accustomed to them." The Hylian said. "My name is Niko by the way."

"And I'm Zhago." Zhago replied.

"Pleased to meet you, mighty Sheikah Warrior." Niko said. He continued throwing the food into the monster's cages. "These monsters don't attack people when they're well fed. They only ever kill for food. I'm pretty sure you know what it was like in the days of the Calamity. The monsters were always attacking people because of how hungry they were. They made crude weaponry that could hunt for animals and any ill sighted adventurer who wasn't equipped enough to deal with them. Then Link came along and thinned their numbers. The Blood Moon revived any and every monster back to life, which made fighting them feel superfluous. However, many people in Hyrule claim that Link enjoyed the rise of the Blood Moon, as it allowed him to slaughter more monsters for fun. Some Hyruleans told me that they could hear Link's battle cries in the night, followed by the sound of a monster losing it's life. They even told me they could sometimes hear him laughing." Niko looked up at one of the Lynels in the cage. "He even told me about how much fun he had fighting these Lynels. I don't know any person on the continent that would be mad enough to fight and kill these Lynels just for fun. Some say he killed them for their weapons, others told me he killed them for the thrill of it. I'd like to believe it's a little bit of both." Niko looked up at Zhago, who was somehow snoring while standing up. Niko kept on feeding the monsters in their cages.

Zhaga all of a sudden woke up. "Keep talking."

"Oh." Niko said when he heard Zhago's sudden voice. "Well, once the Blood Moon went away, the monsters weren't able to be brought back to life. After Link killed a majority of them, Zelda and he realized they needed to get the monsters away from Hyrule, instead of creating a mass extinction. Link sent the monsters to three safe havens across Hyrule where no Hyrulean would even think to look. You dealt with the three of them already, which leads us to the final part of Zelda's mission, bringing the monsters to the island. We're doing that right now." Niko noticed Zhago starting to fall asleep a little bit. "Do I talk too much? A lot of people say I talk too much."

"No no. You're alright." Zhago replied. He didn't want to hurt Niko's feelings.

"I think I should make a picture show or something like that. To make it more interesting for young people. I'd call it: Niko's Picture Show."

"That sounds great." Zhago said.

"Thanks." Niko kept on feeding the monsters for the next few minutes and then a voice came from some speakers on the walls of the room.

"Attention all crew members, attention to all crew members. This is Captain Alfonzo speaking, we're going to dock at Windfall Island in a couple minutes." The speakers stopped speaking and then Niko finished his feeding session. Zhago walked out of the cage room and then saw Niko zip right by him up the stairs.

Niko arrived at the main deck and ran up to the crew members playing Pokemon. "We're docking into Windfall Island right now! This will be the last time you'll be able to see anyone besides us on the boat for the next few days." Niko said. Poump got up from the table where everyone was playing and arrived at the railing. He saw Windfall Island. It was a little different from what he remembered, but it had been 10 years since he'd been here, so it was surely going to be a little bit different from how he remembered it.

The boat docked at a large pier that went on the island, and then a ramp lowered down onto the pier allowing the crew members access to the pier. The party walked onto the pier with Link walking with them. A bunch of other smaller boats were also docked next to the pier. Some of the boats had some people on them, just chilling out. There were also a few boats off the coast. The team got a good look at the island. It was a pretty big island which spanned across their horizon lines, with no sign of the Island ending at either side. The Island was dotted with many buildings and trees, and at the very top of the Island's tall mountain was a magnificent windmill, with a stone trail climbing up towards the windmill. Link looked at the others. "I have some business to attend to. Feel free to do anything you guys want, although I do recommend you should check out the armorer's shop and ask for rubber armor so that Uten can wear it."

"When will we know when we have to leave?" Zhago asked.

Link looked behind the party back at the ship's ramp. "Hey Alfonzo!" He yelled.

"What is it boss?" A buff Hylian replied.

"We will leave this island by sundown!" Link yelled.

"Got it!" Alfonzo replied with a thumbs up.

Link looked at the other party members. "Do whatever you want until the nighttime falls. We will continue our voyage at that time. Anyways, I'll deal with my business right now and then we'll get on our way."

"Alrighty then." Poump replied. The party nodded in agreement. Link walked off of the pier and in the direction of the residential district. There was a handy map displayed on the pier which showed the way around the island. The map also had a population count on it. 'Population: 1,638'. The party pinpointed the location of the armorer's shop and headed in its direction. As they walked to the armorer's shop, they saw a bunch of children chasing after a pig. Tipa wanted to chase the pig but Uten held her back. They paid no mind to them and kept on walking. The streets of the town started to become more familiar to Poump. Some of the citizens of the town were sitting on little porches that overlooked the stone road that the party was walking on, and down below them there were herds of cats walking across the streets. A few other citizens were also pulling at some wagons which had some produce. Uten looked around, still feeling a bit of electric shock inside of her system.

"So many Hylians living out here." Uten said.

"Yep, for a lot of people, me included, this was home and it was the only home we knew for a long time." Poump said. "It's been such a long time since I've been here." The party made it to a shop with a sign out front that said 'ARMOR PARADISE'. "Here we are." Poump said, and they all walked inside.

A Hylian woman was behind the counter, banging her hammer at different slabs of metal. She looked up and her eyes widened once she saw Poump. "Poump?! Little Poump?! Is that you?!" She said.

"Yes, it's me… uhhh..." Poump tried remembering her name.

"The name's Hamei." She took her gloves off. "I understand you not remembering my name, it's been a very long time since you were sent to Knight School at Hyrule. Speaking of that, how's it been when you were at Hyrule? How's Groose and the Gang?"

"They're doing fantastically." Poump said. He had slight concern in his voice knowing that Groose and his friends were still in Hyrule, a Hyrule with resurrected monsters and the Yiga Clan still being active. "Knight Academy has been a great experience, I actually just graduated from it about a month ago."

"Ahh that's great!" Hamei said. "Say, your own folks are upstairs. Maybe they can say hi-" As Hamei said that, two Hylians walked down a spiral staircase that was behind the counter, and then they took a good look at Poump.

"Poump!" The two Hylians said. They looked like they were in their 40s. They ran right through a door through the counter and started hugging Poump out. "It's been such a long time!"

"Parents?" Zhago said to Poump.

"Precisely!" One of the Hylians said. They stopped hugging Poump. "What brings you here to Windfall Island?"

"I'm on a mission that's been appointed to me by Queen Zelda of Hyrule." Poump replied. "She's put her trust in me and my friends here." Poump pointed out Zhago, Uten, and Tipa.

"That's excellent, although how could we be sure that Zelda sent all of you and that you just decided to come here on your own?" Poump's Mom said.

"We have this." Poump pulled out his Sheikah Slate.

Poump's Dad looked at it for a bit. "That looks like a pretty expensive toy. Still in your childhood I see?"

Poump took a brief amount of offense from it, but he knew his parents were like this. "This is an extremely advanced device called a Sheikah Slate." Poump turned on the camera gallery and scrolled through some of the pictures he took. "Take a look."

Poump's parents looked at the images. "Some of those are pretty scary looking, especially that dead looking person right there." They pointed at the picture of the Redead.

"That's because it IS dead." Poump replied.

"I'll say this tech is pretty impressive but what else do you have that could prove you're working with the Queen?" Poump's Dad said.

"Me." Zhago said. "I'm a Sheikah Warrior appointed by the Royal Family to protect them from crisis. I've killed countless enemies of the Queen, and Poump has as well."

The parents looked a bit shocked. "Were you hurt Poump?" Poump's Mother said.

"Mom, it's knight business. Of course I was hurt a little bit." Poump said.

"More like a lot." Uten added. "But don't worry, we've healed him up good enough for each altercation, and he's here in one piece."

The parents seemed a bit horrified by the prospect of their child being in battle, but they were able to accept the idea since they did send him to Hyrule for the sake of the Knight Academy. "I've been on plenty of adventures." Poump said. "It's been a lot to deal with."

"Well I suppose going on adventures runs in the family." Poump's Mother said. "Your brother Bomp has been adventuring across Windfall Island's Wildlands for quite a bit. We expect to see him tonight. We'll be eating at the Lumpy Pumpkin."

"The Lumpy Pumpkin?!" Poump said with excitement.

"Yes! The owners will be happy to see you again after all this time!" Poump's Father said. "And Bomp will be especially happy to see you again!"

"Ah yes! That's great!" Poump said, feeling ecstatic. "You guys wanna stay for dinner at the Lumpy Pumpkin?" Poump said to the others.

"We can stay but we should ask the other crew members about staying." Zhago said.

"Especially Link." Uten said.

"Did you say Link?!" Poump's parents said in unison.

"Yeah."

"You've been adventuring with the fabled Hero known as Link this whole time son?" Poump's Dad said to Poump.

"More like for a few weeks." Poump replied.

"That's incredible!" Poump's Father said.

Uten coughed into her arm a little bit. A small electric surge overcame her body. Hamei the Armorer observed this in shock. "Whoa!" She exclaimed.

"Actually, Link told us to get some Rubber Armor from here." Poump said. "It's for her."

"Step right back here. I will fit you up with some Rubber Armor." Hamei said to Uten. "This will take a while, so come back later." Hamei said as she guided Uten into a backroom.

"Well sonny boy, you can go off and do whatever you want right now." Poump's Father said.

"We're glad to see you safe again." Poump's Mother added. "Maybe we will see each other at the Lumpy Pumpkin!"

"I'll make an effort to join you all." Poump replied. He hugged his parents goodbye and walked back out to the stone streets of Windfall Island's marketplace. Zhago and Tipa followed him around. Poump took advantage of the time in the day they had and explored the settlement a lot more.

"Is it true that about 4,500 Hylians lived on this Island?" Zhago asked at one point.

"Yeah, and I was one of them." Poump said.

"No wonder it was referred to as the Great Hylian Migration." Zhago said. "Was it overcrowded here?"

"Not that I would remember. It's kind of a haze." Poump replied. They eventually walked up a road that brought them to a gate and behind the gate was an elaborate mansion. A sign in front of the gate read 'Payne Family Estate'. "It's crazy to think that so many people I met in Hyrule also came from here."

"Aghanim also came from this island." Zhago said.

Poump thought about the Yiga Hylian that Zhago killed that one time. "Would that mean that…" Poump didn't want to finish his sentence, and Zhago knew what he was going to say. He patted Poump on the back and they kept on walking. Tipa also patted Poump on the back. They walked down the stone road back to the coast of the island, which they were able to see since they were at an elevated part of the settlement. The settlement smelled nice, as many of the citizens had farms in their backyards. It actually reminded Poump of Hateno Village. The only difference is that Windfall Island's settlement was a lot more industrialized. They eventually made it to the coast of the island and took in the breeze of the sea. Poump, Zhago and Tipa turned around because they heard some yelling coming from inside of one of the houses.

"Why are you here?! I told you not to come back?!" A Woman's voice was yelling from inside of the house. The window was open so everyone nearby could hear.

They continued listening to the house but didn't get too close so that they could be seen. They heard a faint voice respond. "I just wanted to see him." The voice said.

As the three of them were eavesdropping on the conversation, they heard a young voice come from behind them. "Who are you people?" The young voice said. They turned around and saw a 7 year old boy looking at them. He had a stick in one of his hands.

"We're pirates." Poump responded. "Rawr."

"Haha, that's funny! I like playing pirates as well!" The boy replied. He raised his stick in the air.

"How does one play pirates?" Poump asked.

"You have to chase the pig! And then you grab the pig! Then you throw it into the water and watch it swim back to you! Then you allow the pig a chance to rest and then you chase it again after it's done resting!" The child said. Tipa liked the idea of this game.

"That sounds like a lot of fun." Poump replied.

"It is!" The kid said. "Say, why are you next to my mom's house?"

"Because we… wait what?" Poump said.

"Actually, I know why. It's because she's usually not this angry. I tried going back inside and I saw her talking to some guy in green clothes." The child responded.

"What's your name, child? My name is Poump."

"I am Pep!" The child responded.

As the child said that, the door to the house opened up. A Woman was slapping someone out of the house. That someone was Link. "I never wanted to see you again! Get your ass out of my house!" She slapped Link in the face and it caused him to lose his balance as he exited the doorway.

"YAH!" Link fell on his back. He got back up and looked at the woman in the house.

"Don't you ever see me again, and keep Pep out of your business, you hear me?!" The Woman furiously slammed the door shut. Link collected himself and walked to the coast. He noticed Poump and Zhago but didn't feel like speaking to them. Link walked along the beach of the island. Pep excitedly ran towards Link. The woman inside of the house noticed Pep running towards Link, so she opened the door up and yelled to Pep. "Pep! Get back in here! He would be a bad influence on you!" Pep looked at Link and then back at his mother. He walked with somberness to his house and then the woman closed the door once Pep was inside.

"Did… did I just see that?" Poump said.

"I did too." Zhago replied.

"Does this mean that… Pep is Link's son?" Poump said.

Tipa looked at Poump with a serious face and nodded her head.

"Do you want me to go talk to him?" Zhago said to Poump.

"Go ahead." Poump said. A lot of the respect he gained for Link went away at this revelation, although Poump did know that there was a lot more to this than what he saw, so he understandably wanted to give Link a chance to redeem himself. "I'll meet up with my family. The sun is starting to go down. Oh and by the way, ask Link if we can stay a little bit longer here on Windfall Island."

"Got it, I'll tell him that." Zhago replied. Zhago ran up to Link and caught up with him.

"You're going to ask me about that woman, aren't you?" Link said to Zhago.

"Yes, that is why I decided to speak to you." Zhago replied. "So, that child Pep. He's your son, correct?"

"Yes. He is." Link replied dryly. He kicked at the sand a little bit. Zhago couldn't help but shake the feeling that he just noticed Link's shadow move out of sync. Zhago tried to find something to calm Link down.

"Well, I learned that my son is still alive just a few days ago." Zhago said.

Link looked at Zhago. "Your son? He's alive? What was his name… Pokh?"

"Yes, Pokh is alive. I found him and brought him back to Kakariko Village safe and sound."

"That's nice I suppose." Link said with a bit of dismissiveness.

Zhago searched his thoughts for something else to say. "You know Link, Poump says he wants to stay on Windfall Island a little longer. Is it possible that we could stay?"

"For what reason?" Link asked.

"Poump met his family again, and they said that they wanted to eat at the Lumpy Pumpkin, which is a restaurant somewhere on this island. They want to eat there for dinner."

"Hmm." Link thought to himself.

"The dinner could be relaxing, and enough to get this whole debacle off of your mind. All we need is just a few more hours on Windfall Island and then we will be able to sail off to the sea once more once it's done." Zhago said.

"That's a good idea actually. I'll tell the rest of the crew mates to join us in the Lumpy Pumpkin for dinner then." Link replied. Link started walking down the beach back towards the big boat.

"Oh yeah, one more question." Zhago said.

Link stopped and turned around to look at Zhago. "What is it?"

"Some say that you enjoyed killing the monsters. During the time of the Calamity." Zhago said. "Why did you enjoy killing them so much?"

Link looked at the boat and then back at Zhago. "I found it to be exhilarating. One time, I had a very weird dream that involved Zelda and a bunch of monsters. After that dream… killing them was just a lot easier." A red glint started appearing in Link's eyes. "To hear the monsters lose their life from their very own vocal cords. Watching their blood spill onto the floor… I'll admit it, I almost drank it." The red glint faded away just a little bit. "I could never get enough of finding a band of monsters and slaying them, watching their insides fall to the floor." Link touched his head, as if he had a major headache. He looked back at Zhago, who was preparing to pull his sword out. "You don't need to pull that out." Link said to Zhago.

Zhago looked at Link's eyes. The red glint disappeared in his eyes and was replaced by blue eyes. Zhago put his hand off of his sword and got out of his battle stance.

"I'll go get the other crew members. Meet up with Poump and the others." Link walked back to the boat with more of a pep in his step.

One hour later, Poump and the party arrived at a building on Windfall Island that was built to look like a large pumpkin. "Where's Link? You said he'd be here." Poump said to Zhago.

"There's a lot of shipmates on that boat. He's probably gathering all of them up right now." Zhago replied. As he said that, they turned around and saw Link walking towards them with the Gerudo, the Rito, the Gerudo, and the Zora behind him, as well as Niko and Alfonzo.

"The party is present and accounted for." Link said. He clapped into the air. "May we feast, in honor of the Monster Squad." Link and the party all walked into the pumpkin shaped building. A sign out front read 'THE LUMPY PUMPKIN'.

They walked inside to the warm aroma of pumpkin soup. The center of the restaurant had a large and intricate chandelier, which seemed to be decorated with rupees on it. Someone behind a counter greeted the team, rather unenthusiastically. "Welcome to the Lumpy Pumpkin. My name is Peatrice. How many are in your party?" She said, as she leaned her head into her arm with a surprising amount of laziness.

Link brought up his fingers. "15 please." Link said as he showed his ten fingers and then quickly and awkwardly showcased just five fingers up. "4 more people will join us soon."

Peatrice found this amusing. "Heehee. Right this way." She guided the party to a table in the center of the room which had 15 seats. "Make yourself at home." All of the party members settled down on their seats. The Goron in the group didn't want to sit down on the chair, so he moved it out of the way and sat on the ground. He was big enough to see the top of the table. Link was at the side of the table opposite to the Monster Squad. Uten was wearing her Rubber Armor now. As uncomfy as it sounds, it made Uten feel much better. The electricity shocks were no more to her, so she sat in comfort. Poump decided to whisper towards Zhago.

"Is it just me, or Link feeling more chipper than he normally is?" Poump said to Zhago.

"It's not just you. I can see it too." Zhago said.

"Maybe he's like this because he's happy to be here." Uten added. Tipa looked around the room and saw all of the other tables with their food ready. She got up but then Uten grabbed her back down. "No Tipa. We can't steal other people's food. Not here." Tipa disgruntledly crossed her arms.

Eventually a waiter arrived at their table. "What do you wish for?" The waiter said in a dumpy voice.

The party looked over the menus and they all ordered their food, with drinks as well. They had the rupees for a lot of food. The order totalled out to 4,300 rupees, which was practically nothing to them now. They would have ordered more food, but they didn't want to overstuff themselves, as this order was already going to do that anyways.

"Very well then." The waiter said. "Your food will arrive momentarily." The waiter walked away. Poump looked up to the entrance and saw his mom and dad walk in with Hamei, and behind the three of them was an insanely buff Hylian who was only a few years older than Poump.

"Bomp?!" Poump said when his parents arrived at the table with the other two. They seated themselves next to Poump.

"Poump. It has been such a long time without you bro." The buff Hylian got off of his chair and hugged Poump right off of Poump's chair. He let go of him and set him back down. "So, how's it been?"

"It's been one wild ride in Hyrule." Poump said to Bomp. "How about you?"

"Oh, just a little farming, a little live stock watch. Then I take a few hikes in the wildlands with some people and then we throw back a few." Bomp said this with a deep voice.

"Is that your older brother?" Uten said to Poump.

"Yep, that's him." Poump replied.

"Ahh, hello there Friends of Poump." Bomp said to Zhago and Uten. Bomp looked across the table. "And you're even dining with Link, the Hero of Hyrule. This is one heck of a night." Bomp said with a rough softness to his voice. The pure confidence that radiated from his bulky frame made the whole table feel happy. Alfonzo across the table, who was also a very buff guy, nodded in approval to Bomp's strength, and Bomp nodded back.

"Are you taking good care of my claymore?" Hamei said to Bomp.

"Ah heck yeah." Bomp replied.

"You use claymores?" Link said from the other side of the table. Link saluted to Bomp. "Respect, fellow claymore warrior."

Bomp saluted back. "Respect to you too, Link, Hero of Hyrule." The drinks arrived at the table for everyone, including the parents, Bomp, and Hamei. Poump took his glass and then raised it into the air.

"To Link, for giving us this wonderful occasion!" Poump said, with his glass raised in the air.

Everyone else took their glasses up into the air. "To Link!" They all said in unison. Except for Tipa, who just raised her glass in the air since everyone else was doing it.

Link took his glass into the air and raised it to Poump. "To Poump, for being a great fighter and a great leader."

Everyone else raised their glasses. "To Poump!" They all said. Link's compliment gave Poump a fuzzy feeling inside of himself. Despite what he saw earlier today, he knew that Link was in actuality a really nice guy. He wanted to ask him about the Woman and Pep, but he decided he should save it for later.

The food arrived at the table shortly. Pumpkin soup, pumpkin pie, cooked fish, omelettes, meat patties, and ribs. There was a lot of food to go around, so the whole table ate right up.

After some minutes of eating, Bomp decided to say something. "Let's play a game." Bomp said.

"What should we play?" Poump asked.

"Never have I ever." Bomp said.

"Oh goddess." Poump said to himself.

"In case if you haven't played Never have I ever before, here's how you play. One person will say 'Never have I ever' and then they say something. For example: Never have I ever dove underwater for more than 2 minutes. Then, the person who has done this activity, which in this case is diving underwater for more than 2 minutes, will take a swig of a drink."

"This is a drinking game made for alcoholic beverages." Poump said. "Not everyone here has that in their possession."

"That's fine. You don't need alcohol to play this game." Bomp replied. "You just need to drink whatever you have. Oh, and by the way, we'll break the rules a bit. Normally the person saying 'Never have I ever' has never done the thing they were talking about, but for this game, you can say whatever you actually HAVE done before. Alright, who's first?"

Alfonzo raised his hand. "I'll go first." He said with his deep sailor voice. "Never have I ever broken a bone." Everyone around the table took a drink. "Huh, looks like all of us have been on dangerous occasions."

"You betcha!" Hamei said, looking slightly buzzed.

"We'll go counter clockwise." Bomp said.

"Looks like it's my turn now." Niko said. "Never have I ever fired an arrow from a bow." Most of the people took a drink around the table, except for the two Zoras, the Goron, and Tipa.

"Never have I ever rolled down a mountain." The Goron said. Link was the only person that drank up. "Hauh." The Goron laughed dumbly.

The Gerudo's turn was next. "Never have I ever made love with someone from the same gender." The Gerudo said. Uten and Link drank up.

"I thought you were straight!" Uten said to Link.

"I'm bisexual." Link replied dryly.

"Who did you do it with?" Uten asked.

Link leaned across the table very clumsily and whispered to Uten. "Prince Sidon." He said. Uten covered her mouth in shock.

Eventually the table reached Bomp's turn. "Never have I ever befriended an animal that wasn't a horse, a dog, or a cat." Bomp said. Link drank up. "What animals did you befriend?"

Link counted with his fingers. "A few deers, and a bear." Link said.

"That's pretty cool." Bomp said.

It was Poump's turn now. "Never have I ever…" Poump didn't know what to say. He almost wanted to say 'Never have I ever ended the life of someone else', but he decided to change the subject. "Never have I ever cross dressed." Link took a swig, as well as Bomp.

"Bomp?!" Hamei exclaimed. "I would never take you as the type of person to cross dress!"

"It was an experiment." Bomp replied. "The clothes fit me pretty well though."

"How cute." Hamei said.

It was now Uten's turn. "Never have I ever been struck by an arrow in combat." Almost everyone drank up, except for Bomp.

"Never have I ever had a near death experience." Zhago said. Everyone drank up. Poump took an extra swig. The waiter refilled their drinks.

"Meat." Tipa said. Everyone looked at her and then took a drink.

The table finally ended at Link. "Never have I ever ridden a horse." Link said. Almost everyone around the table drank up, except for the Goron, Hamei, Bomp, and Poump's parents.

Poump looked at them with a look of concern. "Why haven't you all ridden a horse before?" Poump asked them.

"There are no horses here on Windfall Island." Bomp replied. "I wish there were though."

"Well there are plenty of horses on Hyrule." Poump said. "Someday I'll be able to teach all of you how to ride a horse. It can be a family gathering thing." He said.

"That sounds wonderful." Poump's Mother said.

Alfonzo patted Link on the back. "Look at you! You drank at every question, and you're drinking Islander Ail. The strongest type of alcohol available here!"

"I'm just a very durable drinker." Link said, right before he slammed his face into the table. Alfonzo looked at him a little more.

"He's knocked out cold from all those drinks." Alfonzo said.

"Well snap." Poump said. Alfonzo shook Link a little bit and then he got right back up.

"Whoo. What did I miss?" Link asked.

"Not much." Alfonzo said.

"Hahaaha!" The whole table laughed. After an hour of feasting, the party went out into the cold night air of Windfall Island and they made it back to the boat.

"Do come by and see us again!" Poump's Mother said as she was waving to Poump.

"Don't worry, I will make sure I stop by once I get the chance." Poump said.

As Poump was saying goodbye to his folks, Zhago noticed a small person run onto the ramp and into the ship. He dismissed this. Poump and the others all got onto the boat. "See you again bro!" Bomp said to Poump.

"You bet we will!" Poump replied. The boat's ramp got onto the boat and shortly after, the boat started moving out of the dock, and out to the dark sea which was only illuminated by the moon in the sky. The party got into their cabins and they slept for the rest of the night.
