Chapter 35: The Final Battle
Hilda's army ran valiantly across the field, battling through the horde of incoming monsters. The army of Heroes Clad in Green overwhelmed the Shadow Beasts and the monsters greatly, with their swords slashing through all of them with ease. The Sheikah Warriors overwhelmed the Yiga Warriors with their mass numbers. The large birds flew above the battlefield with the Hylians on their backs dropping bombs onto the army of monsters underneath them. The forces of Hyrule charged forwards with their fighting tactics from each tribe being put to great effect.
The former Champions, Urbosa, Mipha, Daruk, and Revali, met up with the current Champions of Hyrule, Riju, Sidon, Yunobo, and Teba. They all teamed up with each other and ran across Hyrule Field towards the Great Plateau where the Divine Beasts were. "Who would've thought my successor was as skilled as I was!" Revali said to Teba.
"We all excel at archery, old timer!" Teba replied, and the two of them flew swiftly through the air, shooting arrows from their bows to the enemies beneath them.
"Together, we roll into battle!" Daruk said to Yunobo.
"That's right, brother!" Yunobo replied proudly, and the two of them rolled across Hyrule Field, smashing through any and every monster that got in their way.
"My my, look at how you've grown!" Mipha said to Sidon.
Sidon smiled back, showing all of his teeth. "It is so good to see you again, sister!" Sidon waved his trident and created a pillar of water for the two of them to surf across the field on.
"You look like a worthy successor to my title, and that Thunder Helm fits you really well!" Urbosa said to Riju.
"I think it would look even better on you!" Riju replied. The two of them sprinted across the field defeating all of the enemies that approached them with ease.
The 8 Hyrule Champions arrived at the Divine Beasts on the Great Plateau and boarded onto each of them. Revali and Teba landed onto Vah Medoh, Daruk and Yunobo rolled onto Vah Rudania, Mipha and Sidon surfed into Vah Ruta, and Urbosa and Riju climbed their way up onto Vah Naboris. In each Divine Beast appearing before each Champion were 4 different amalgamations of Demise.
Demise's voice echoed through each Divine Beast. "My Blights have killed 4 of you before! How could you have any hope of winning this time around?!"
Each of the former Champions spoke in unison in each of the Divine Beasts. "Because this time around, we have each other! And we also have our successors with us! Together, we won't fail this time!"
"Double the Champions, double the blood!" Demise replied. Each of the Blights started fighting each Champion duo. Each of the Champions teamed up with their successors and fought valiantly against each of their respective Blight.
Link, Zelda, and Ganondorf ran across the field together, smashing away at a bunch of monsters. A large Black Hinox challenged the three of them. Zelda shot the light arrows from her Bow of Light into the Hinox's eye, which caused it to fall over. Ganondorf jumped into the air plunging his weapon onto the Hinox's arm, and Link ended it by running on the top of the Hinox's large stomach and sliding his Master Sword across the stomach, dissecting the giant alive.
Poump, Zhago, Uten, and Tipa rode on their horses through the battle. A few Shadow Beasts approached them. Poump's Magic Sword made quick work of a lot of them, and then a wolf jumped from out of the horde of Shadow Beasts and bit Zhago off of his horse. Zhago tumbled on the floor and threw a few throwing knives at the wolf. They hit the wolf, causing it to tumble over. Tipa jumped off of the horse she was on and slashed her katanas at the wolf. The wolf backed away but was barely cut by Tipa's attack. Poump leapt off of his own horse as well and punched down into the wolf's face. It fell to the floor, and then transformed into a light blue skinned individual. This individual didn't move at all. The party without hesitation kept on trudging through the battle. Eventually, they noticed Link, Zelda, and Ganondorf were confronting the being made completely of Malice, Demise. Ghirahim stood next to Demise, appearing in a dark color. Ghirahim turned into a large sword and Demise picked him up from the ground, and then a ring of fire erupted around Demise and the three of them.
Demise observed the three Triforce Wielders, and also took a look around the battlefield, observing the way Hyrule looked. "So. This is what the Goddess has created. Quite impressive." Demise looked at Ganondorf. "And what's most impressive is that YOU, Ganondorf, managed to escape my curse. It is quite fitting that I would wipe your blood across the land that you tainted before." Demise then glared at Link and Zelda. "And as for you two, bound to my eternal curse. Forever tormented throughout the ages. It is also fitting that I end your lives with the one who attempted to do so many times. All three of you… meet your DEMISE!" Thunder started to crack amongst the sky, and dark clouds started to blanket the sun set land. Link had his Master Sword ready in a battle stance, Zelda held her Bow of Light proudly, and Ganondorf erupted with power from the inside.
Poump and the party members saw this, but they couldn't enter because of the ring of fire that surrounded the Knight, the Queen, and the former Demon King. They turned around and noticed Midna battling her way through the battlefield. Midna stopped fighting once she noticed Veerus in her armor approaching her slowly. Midna elegantly approached Veerus. The party ran up to them, and then a black portal appeared in the sky. Several pillars surrounded Midna and Veerus, but the 4 party members managed to get themselves inside of the barrier before it formed. They all looked up to see what was happening.
Midna looked at Veerus with soft eyes. "Take that helmet off. I want to see my descendant." She said. Veerus quietly took the helmet off. It disengaged from her armor and she grabbed it off of her head with both of her hands and then she held it in her arms. Veerus' real face looked strikingly similar to Midna's face. Slender, light blue, and with orange hair. "Look at you. You are so beautiful." Midna said to her. "That mask, it isn't beautiful. It hides who you are, where you come from. Midna the 17th is your name. Proof that my name carried throughout the generations."
Veerus looked at Midna with thoughtful eyes and approached her. "You are Midna the 1st? The beginning of my true name?"
"Yes." Midna replied. Veerus made it in front of Midna. Midna lightly put her hand onto Veerus' cheek. "I know you can do better than this. This mindless warfare."
Veerus looked at Midna with soft eyes. "I wish for a world without war." She said.
"Then you can do that." Midna replied. "Learn from your mistakes, and make the world a better place."
Veerus put her hand onto Midna's shoulder. Then she gently put her other hand on Midna's other shoulder. "If only it were that simple." Veerus said. Then Veerus violently brought her hands to Midna's neck and started choking her. Midna gasped for breath helplessly. Poump and the party stood in shock at this turn of events. They looked outside of the barrier and noticed a Hero Clad in Green. This Hero looked a lot like the Link they knew, but different. This Link looked through the barrier in horror at Midna being choked. He hit the barrier wall multiple times with his fists, falling to the floor in agony at the sight of Midna losing her life before his eyes.
"Don't… do this…" Midna said through her clenched throat.
Veerus stared at Midna with no emotion in her eyes as she gripped Midna's throat even harder. Then, she snapped Midna's neck, and tossed her to the floor. The Link on the other side of the barrier fell to his knees with tears in his eyes. Poump, Zhago, Uten and Tipa approached Veerus warily, with their weapons ready. Veerus looked at the 4 of them, with decisive eyes. "Midna was the start of my bloodline, the name I carry. However, all she proves herself to be is another barrier in the way of success. History is messy, full of mistakes that no one ever learns from." Veerus pulled out her weapon, a dark sword that glowed with red lines coursing through it. She pointed it at Link, Zelda, Ganondorf, and Demise in the barrier next to them. "Do you see those three fighting over there? The being they are fighting, the being known as Demise is bound to the three of them, locking them in an endless conflict with one another. History chooses to remember them throughout the ages, with the bravado of the Hero against the Evil Demon King always celebrated, as the people of the world suffer in agony from this eternal conflict. What will we be remembered for? We will be mere footnotes on a page. Why would you wish to live in a world where such a conflict can never be ended? A world in which mistakes were made? My world, the one that I wish to create, would be a perfect world. One without a history. One without mistakes. One without the Hero. One without the Royal Family. One without Ganon. Those three that will be remembered and honored by time carry the three pieces of the triforce. Once they die, I can take the united Triforce for myself and create my own world in my own image. As the four of you expire from this broken world, no one will know who you were." Veerus brandished her dark sword, and the party prepared themselves for battle.
The Link outside of the barrier stood himself up. He grabbed his own Master Sword off of his back, and then threw it above the barrier and it landed into the ground next to the party. He looked at the party members. Tipa put her katanas to the side and approached the Master Sword on the ground. She picked it for herself and felt the power emanate through her being. Poump and the others looked at Tipa with the Master Sword in her hands and looked back at Veerus with determination in their eyes. It was all the four of them, and the one Twili in armor. Veerus put her helmet back on and approached the party, ready for blood.
Zhago ran up to Veerus with his sword out. Veerus swung her weapon at Zhago, which he dodged several times, and then he hit one of her joints on her leg armor. She fell over and Uten stabbed her spear repeatedly at Veerus. Then she caught Uten's spear with her hand and pulled Uten towards herself. She slammed Uten into the floor with her fist and prepared to stab her into the ground. Poump pointed the Magic Sword at Veerus, which caused her to flinch away from attacking Uten. Tipa attacked Veerus from behind with her Master Sword and sliced at her armor multiple times. The armor noticeably became more and more cut up with each Master Sword slice. Veerus' armor created a jet of wind that jettisoned herself away from Tipa's attacks. Poump looked at Tipa and the others. "The key to defeating her looks like the Master Sword. We need to weaken her first, and then go to town on her."
"Got it." Uten replied. She prepared her spear and her and Zhago stood together with their weapons ready. Tipa and Poump slowly approached Veerus together with their blades pointed towards her.
Veerus felt the sting of the Master Sword's energy surround her suit. "There is no ability to counter its energy. I must focus on killing that girl." Veerus thought to herself. She jettisoned herself towards the two approaching her and hit them, causing them to fly back and roll onto the ground. She targeted Tipa, but Zhago threw a few more throwing knives at Veerus' armor. The knives bounced off of her armor, but one of them hit the back of her armor, which caused her to slide onto the floor. Uten pulled out a bottle of water and poured the water out of the bottle. She waved her spear and sent the water flying towards Veerus' armor and caused the water to seep underneath her helmet. Veerus took her helmet off and the water poured out of it. "This helmet is imperfect. I must forget it." She smashed the helmet and it crumbled to the floor in pieces. She hit a button on her arm, and then another helmet formed around her head, this time with extra padding around her neck area. Uten tried putting the water back into Veerus' helmet, but the water pressed against Veerus' helmet without any effect. "That won't happen again." Veerus said.
Poump shot another energy beam at Veerus, hitting her in the torso of the armor. It was minor, but he noticed a part of her armor start to chip away from the energy beam. Tipa ran up to Veerus and slashed at her with the Master Sword, but Veerus backed away from the attacks. Veerus attempted to swing her blade back at Tipa, which caused Tipa to dodge under the attack, unbeknownst to Tipa, the weapon swung back around at her and hit her onto the floor. Uten vaulted herself into the air with her spear and stabbed it onto Veerus' armor, which managed to hit her arm joint. Uten was smacked to the side by Veerus' hand. Zhago ran up and teleported behind Veerus, striking at her leg joint, causing her to fall over again. Poump ran up to the fallen Veerus and slashed his blade into her helmet multiple times. It caused plenty of dents with each strike, with a noticeable chipping away happening. Veerus punched her fist forwards into Poump's gut, which sent him rolling away on the floor. He picked his Magic Sword up and knew he wasn't able to fire another energy beam. Veerus stood up and turned her whole body to face the battle with Demise. Her new helmet might have the ability to keep water out of it's cracks, but it forced her to move her entire body in order to see.
Demise battled against Link, Zelda and Ganondorf. Demise knocked Link and Zelda out of the way with an attack, and then he stabbed Ganondorf. "NOO!" Link and Zelda screamed in unison. Ganondorf stood still and then fell to the floor. A bright golden triangle floated out of his body and positioned itself in place. Link and Zelda fought Demise with more anger in their attacks.
"It begins." Veerus said coldly. She brought out her weapon and then pressed a button on it's hilt. The sword she carried disconnected multiple times into a chain type weapon. Then she started to swing it around in circles above her head. The chain hit each of the party members down, but Poump crawled underneath the chain's circular motion. After a few seconds, Veerus reconnected the chains together and then the sword became one again. Uten tossed each of the party members a few red potions. They all drank them up and felt healthy again. Tipa and Uten charged forward. Veerus made a few more attacks which the two of them dodged. Then she raised her arm and then a purple energy blasted from her arm, shooting at the two of them. Uten blocked the attacks with her Mirror Shield, but then the shots eventually were too much and blasted her back. Veerus charged up a bigger blast and aimed it at Tipa. She shot it towards Tipa, the purple glow illuminating the floor underneath the blast. Tipa slashed at the purple blast, which sent it flying back to Veerus. Veerus hit the blast again, causing it to fly back to Tipa. Tipa slashed at it again, which made it rebound back to Veerus. Veerus attempted to hit the purple ball of energy again, but it hit her armor which caused her armor to overload and electrocute her. She fell to the floor, panting for breath.
"Now!" Poump screamed.
"On it!" Zhago exclaimed. All four of the party members ran up to Veerus as she was downed and attacked her with their weapons. Each of their weapons did heavy damage to her armor, most noticeably the Master Sword and the Magic Sword did the most damage with each strike. After a few seconds of wailing their attacks on her, Poump noticed Veerus reaching for her weapon again.
"Everyone! Run away!" Poump screamed, as he ran away from Veerus with the other party members. Veerus picked herself up and swiped her weapon at the air in rage. It barely missed Uten as she was running away. Veerus disconnected her weapon again into its chain form. She swung the weapon in circles above her head once more. The attack missed each of the party members, as they anticipated the attack this time around. Veerus grunted to herself and then the chain weapon swung even faster, and managed to hit Uten and Zhago onto the floor. She reconnected her weapon again and then looked at the battle with Demise again.
Link slashed his Master Sword wildly at Demise's blade. Demise overpowered Link and pushed him to the side. Zelda shot a light arrow at Demise, which stunned him a little bit. Link picked himself up and rushed at Demise, but then he broke free from the stun and charged at Zelda. He slashed at her violently, causing her to fall to the ground, dead. Another golden triangle floated out of Zelda's body and joined by the other floating triangle's side.
"It is almost complete." Veerus said with menace. A purple energy erupted around Veerus' armor. The four party members teamed up on Veerus, but then she knocked everyone down. She raised her chain weapon into the sky and slammed it into the floor towards Zhago. The attack cut Zhago up down the middle, and the chain weapon slid back into Veerus' sword. Zhago reached up into the air with his dying breaths.
"Keep… fighting…" Zhago said to the other party members. His head fell to the side, and all signs of life from him disappeared.
Uten was filled with rage. She ran right up to Veerus and attempted to stab at her again with her spear. Veerus blocked the attacks with her hand, and then slammed her sword into Uten, which caused her to fall to the ground with a large open wound on her skin. She scrambled for a health potion on her waist, but then Veerus ran up to Uten and stabbed her sword into her stomach. "OUGH!" Uten exclaimed. Veerus pulled the sword out of Uten's stomach, with Uten's blood seeping out from underneath her. Uten's head fell limp to the side and her vision turned blurry. Then she saw black.
Poump and Tipa stood together with their weapons ready. Tipa was furious at seeing two of her friends die in front of her eyes. Poump looked at Tipa. "Keep your calm. It's the only way we'll be able to beat her."
Tipa looked back at Poump. "I will remain calm." Tipa replied.
Veerus looked at the two remaining party members, emanating her purple energy around herself. She charged at the two of them with rage. She sent her sword flying at Poump, but he dodged the attack and retaliated with a slash from his Magic Sword. Tipa took the opportunity and slashed Veerus from behind. Poump rolled away from Veerus and shot an energy beam from his Magic Sword towards Veerus' torso armor. This caused a deeper chip into her armor. Poump noticed the Mirror Shield on the floor and picked it up for himself. Veerus charged for Poump at an alarming speed and hit her weapon at him. Poump blocked the attack with the Mirror Shield. Veerus turned around and sent her weapon into chain form and made it fly at Tipa. Tipa barely dodged the attack and tripped onto the floor. Poump tried to attack Veerus with her back turned but she elbowed him in the face, which sent him sliding across the ground again. He felt his nose and saw blood on his fingers. Veerus wrapped her chain weapon around Tipa's legs and dragged her towards herself. Tipa gripped onto the Master Sword and stabbed it forward into Veerus' leg. This caused her to lose her grip on her weapon and she fell to her knees. Tipa pulled the Master Sword out of Veerus' leg and slashed at her armor some more. Veerus' armor started to give way, and Tipa started to see her skin underneath. Poump lumbered towards Veerus with his Magic Sword in hand. He prepared to attack her again, but then Veerus did a circular sweeping motion with her feet, causing the two party members to fall to the floor. Veerus raised her weapon above her head and slammed it down towards Tipa. Tipa rolled out of the way of the attack and the large weapon frighteningly hit the ground next to her. Poump backed away from Veerus and picked himself up. Veerus looked at Demise's fight again.
Link and Demise were going at it, their blades clashing into each other. Link raised his shield to block Demise's attack and Demise knocked it out of the way. Link parried each incoming attack from Demise with his sword. Link fought bravely with tears streaming out of his eyes and blood coming out of his mouth. Link attempted to land his sword straight into Demise's stomach, but Demise parried the attack and plunged his blade right through Link's body. "AUGH!" Link exclaimed as Demise's sword penetrated him.
Demise raised Link up to his face. "You are the current Hero? How pathetic."
Link was suspended on Demise's blade, raised above the floor in a way that his feet couldn't touch the floor. However, Link was still holding onto the Master Sword with what little life was left in him. Link looked straight up at Demise. "HYAAAAHH!" He screamed as he plunged the Master Sword straight through Demise's abdomen.
"OOUGHH!" Demise said as the Master Sword penetrated through his malice-born skin.
"If… I'm going down… then so are you!" Link said as he let go of the Master Sword and let it sit inside of Demise's stomach. Demise fell down to the floor with widened eyes. Link struggled his way out of Demise's sword and landed to the floor, with an a hole through his stomach, and the Master Sword planted into him. Link looked up at the sky and watched as it blurred out of focus. He closed his eyes, and lay on the floor, with a puddle of blood developing underneath him. The fire barrier surrounding all of them died away. A third golden triangle floated out of his body and united with the other two golden triangles. The three triangles all glowed brightly once they were all united. They were now forming the Triforce.
"Finally." Veerus said at the sight of it. "My goal is in reach. Opportunity arrives." Veerus looked at the two bruised and beaten party members remaining. "And you two stand in my way."
Poump and Tipa both stood their ground and prepared their weapons. "As we should be." Poump said.
"That's right." Tipa added.
"You two are naive." Veerus said as she looked at the two of them through her cracked helmet, her eyes showing from underneath. She lumbered towards the two of them with her damaged armor and her purple energy surrounding herself. She let her weapon turn into a chain form once again and swung it at the two of them. The attack was blocked by Poump's Mirror Shield, but then the chain wrapped around Poump. Veerus pulled him towards her, but then Tipa aimed her sword into the sky. Light filled the Master Sword and Tipa slashed the blade right at Veerus, sending an energy beam flying into Veerus' helmet. The blade cut her helmet clean off. The helmet fell to the ground. Her head was still intact, but Poump plunged the Magic Sword right into her torso armor, at the spot where he started chipping it away. "AUGH!" Veerus exclaimed as the Magic Sword sat through her armor. She let go of Poump, causing him to roll on the ground behind her. He looked up and saw his Magic Sword's blade on the other side of her armor, with her blood dripping off of it. Veerus dropped her sword on the floor and stood there. She waved her hands and the pillars surrounding them returned into the black portal in the sky. The Link on the other side of the barrier ran up to the dead body of Midna. He clutched her in his arms.
"YAAH!" Tipa screamed and then she plunged the Master Sword into Veerus' open torso.
"EAAUGHH!" Veerus exclaimed as the two swords sat in her stomach. The purple energy surrounding her disappeared. Her armor, as beaten as it was, walked her forward towards the Triforce. Her armor lumbered her forward. She felt herself dying and motionless. All she needed was for her armor to get her to the Triforce before she expired. Then, the Triforce started to glow tremendously. "What?! NOO!" Veerus exclaimed. The light adjusted in her eyes and she saw on the other side of the Triforce, Hilda putting her hand onto it. "...Impossible…" She said, with an empty voice. "I was… this close to victory…"
Hilda looked at Veerus through angered eyes. "You never were." Hilda said as she continued touching the Triforce.
Veerus awoke in a black space. She saw that her armor was still torn and had the two swords plunged into it, but she felt like she could speak clearly again. "Where am I?" She said.
"You are in your head." Hilda's voice echoed. Veerus saw a blur approach her, and then it formed into Hilda, wearing the purple tunic, and the united Triforce floating behind her.
Veerus looked at Hilda and tried to move, but she couldn't. "What are you doing?!" She screamed with hatred.
"I'm here to tell you your fatal flaw." Hilda said with a stern expression on her face.
Veerus sat there. "What is it?!"
"You forgot your history from your people. Were you ever told the story of the Interlopers?" Hilda said.
"The Interlopers?" Veerus asked.
"The Interlopers were Hylian sorcerers from this world. They attempted to use their magic to harness the Triforce's energy for themselves, however the Golden Goddesses forbade them from using their magic to claim the Triforce for themselves. The Goddesses condemned the Interlopers to a realm away from Hyrule, the Twilight Realm. They soon became known as the Twili, your people."
Veerus sat in thought, furious with this. "Then the Goddesses made a terrible mistake!"
"No, Midna the 17th." Hilda said. "The Interlopers made a terrible mistake."
"Curse you! Curse you and your realm of the Goddess!" Veerus furiously screamed in agony, as she couldn't move. "If it was their mistake to take the Triforce's power for themselves, then why should that mistake be brought upon me?!"
Hilda looked at Veerus. She walked up to her in her armor and brought her face up to her face. "Because you made the same mistake that they made." Hilda said. She pulled out the Master Sword off of her back and sank it into Veerus' chest.
The two of them were in Hyrule Field again. The sky was bathed in the twilight of the sun setting. There were no more dark clouds in the sky. Veerus sat there, with the three swords sinking through her body. She looked around Hyrule, seeing the sky and how it looked. "...It… is beautiful…" Veerus said. Hilda raised her hand up, and twisted it in a motion that looked like she was grabbing onto something. Veerus looked up at her doing this, and then she felt something touching her heart. Hilda squeezed her hand together. Veerus felt her heart burst from being crushed. She coughed up a ton of blood, and then fell onto the floor. Veerus was finally no more.
Poump and Tipa saw Hilda, they tried walking up to her. Hilda walked up to the dead bodies of Link, Zelda, and Ganondorf, and then a bright light enveloped the whole area.
Hilda stood in an abstract dimension, which had a bright crack at the end of it. Poump and Tipa were standing in this dimension as well, and then they saw that Zhago and Uten were also here, alive as well. Poump turned around and saw Link, Zelda, and Ganondorf, all alive and well. Hilda looked at Zelda and Link. "This is the part where I say thank you. To all of you." Hilda said as she looked at everyone.
Zelda looked at Hilda. "Hilda… what is happening?" She said through tears.
Hilda looked back at Zelda with a look of sadness on her face. "I am saying my goodbyes to you, Mother." She looked at Link. "And to you, Father." She looked at Poump. She remembered her first horse ride she ever had in her life. "And to you. Poump." She said. "I must return to the realm where I belong. Lorule. I am a part of their Royal Bloodline, so I am needed there, now that I have achieved what I needed here."
"Hilda…" Zelda said with a shaky voice. "What did you wish for?"
Hilda smiled at Zelda through tears. "You will find out soon enough."
Zelda couldn't hold it in anymore. She started pouring tears from her eyes. "Will we ever meet again, Daughter?"
"We may never meet again. The future is uncertain." Hilda looked at the bright crack of light at the end of the abstract dimension and then back to Zelda. "Now I must go. Goodbye, Hyrule." Hilda walked towards the bright crack at the end of the abstract dimension.
In a bright flash of light, Poump found himself on Hyrule Field again. He looked around and saw Tipa, and joining beside her were Zhago and Uten, alive and well, in the flesh. Poump turned around and looked at the Great Plateau. All of the Divine Beasts sat atop the plateau, motionless, with no light from inside. The 8 Champions arrived from the Divine Beasts, all alive and well. The four former Champions saw Link, Zelda, and Ganondorf, also alive. Link and Zelda were crying with each other. They fell to their knees in sadness. The four former Champions disappeared into a bright flash of light, with the current Champions standing in their place. The over 120 Sheikah Warriors also walked into a bright light, and disappeared. The large flying birds flew into the sky, and disappeared into a flash of light as well.
The Link that was clutching the dead body of Midna sat in sadness, and then he felt her body moving in his arms. He opened his eyes and saw her looking up at him, alive and smiling. He smiled back gleefully at her. The two of them got up. The Link reclaimed his Master Sword and then Midna and he walked into a bright light, disappearing together. All of the other Heroes Clad in Green walked into different bright lights, returning to their time periods. 14 year old Pep from the future also walked into a bright flash of light.
The remaining Shadow Beasts transformed into beings with light blue skin. All remaining Yiga Clan members were confronted by the Sheikah Clan members. All of them submitted themselves and joined with the Sheikah Clan members, knowing that their alliance with them would be much more beneficial to them.
All of the monsters that were still living lost the malice within their eyes. Any Golden or White monsters turned into either Black or Blue monsters, devoid of any ill content.
Veerus' dead body was on the floor, with one sword left inside of it. Poump walked up to her dead body and reclaimed his Magic Sword. He looked across the field at all of the different tribes of Hyrule. The Gorons, the Zora, the Rito, and the Gerudos. Poump looked at the Magic Sword and raised it to the air.
Demise's body and his sword turned into a loose energy of malice, that was sucked into Link's Master Sword. The Master Sword glowed brightly, and then the glow went away. Only the metallic shine of the Master Sword's blade was left.
Despite the turnout of the battle, Link and Zelda were still crying on their knees. Their daughter, while alive in another realm, might as well be dead to them. Any hopes of them living with their daughter were gone now.
