Looking up, the boy noticed that he was no longer moving. He saw that he was on a beach, with a lot of people around him. Standing up, they backed away as he stumbled a bit. Looking at each of them, he saw a police officer running up to him. Looking at the man, he grabbed his head, where he then looked at his hand as saw something dripping down. It wasn't water, it was blood.
"Kid, are you ok?" The officer asked, kneeling down in front of the boy while another officer made a call to someone. "I need you to sit down, you're hurt! Do you remember your name?" He asked, with the boy looking back at him.
"My name?" He asked, grabbing his head. "My... Name?" He questioned again, groaning as it hurt to think about it. "I... I don't... I don't know. Who... Who am I?" He asked, tears practically running down his eyes as he didn't know who he was nor where he had come from.
Later
"A kid with no records, no fingerprint matches, no DNA matches, nothing. You don't exist." The officer said, standing in front of the boy while his head was being wrapped up. "The best I can do is call you John Doe." He said, with me nodding at this.
"JD." The boy said, looking down as the nurse walked out of the room, leaving them. "Short for John Doe." He said, with the officer nodding.
"Ok, JD. What can you tell me before you found yourself on the beach?" He asked, pulling out a notepad and a pen.
He got a flash of a boy with short black hair and a hat, and then a blonde boy with black tips. They were standing by some kind of monkey bars. "Nothing." Th boy said, with the officer frowning at this. "I opened my eyes, and I was on the beach." He said, getting a sigh from the officer.
"You'll stay here a few days and then you will be taken to the orphanage." He said, with the boy nodding as the man left the room, where he took the time to lay down and think on who he was.
Three days later, nighttime
"Come, it's time for bed!" The caretaker said as JD followed behind her. She opened a door, with JD looking inside. "You will stay here, be sure not to disturb the girl, she gets high fevers every now and then." She said, with JD nodding and walking in. Making his way to the bunkbed, JD looked down at a girl with short reddish pink hair and a horn headband on top of her head. Her cheeks were red, heavily breathing, indicating that she was sick.
Looking at the door, JD watched as it closed, with him grabbing the top bunk. "Does that girl have a fever again?" JD heard another voice, looking at the door again.
"It just doesn't let up with that girl, and with that boy coming out of the blue; I was supposed to go out tonight." The caretaker said, with JD seeing the girl had her eyes open.
"That girl gives me the creeps; she doesn't act like a normal kid!" The second voice said, with JD jerking his head towards the door. "Those Horns of hers are disgusting!" She added, with JD letting the bunkbed go.
"None of the other children want to share a room with her." The caretaker said, where JD started walking towards the door. Hearing the blankets move, he turned to the girl as she sat up, a sad expression on her face. She stood up, with JD walking over to her.
"You should lay down!" JD said, but she pushed him away. Watching as she opened the door, she walked out, with JD rubbing his head as this was going to be a problem. "If you get even more sick than you are, you can't blame me!" He said, following her so that he could make sure that she was ok.
Later
Walking behind the girl, JD watched as she fell face forward. It was clear that she was running away after what she heard. He couldn't blame her; he might have done the same seeing as if he wasn't wanted... then he would leave. Was he unwanted? Did he run away as well? He didn't know why he followed her, or why he wanted to help her.
Hearing a dog, JD watched as it came walking up to her. The dog licked her face, gaining her attention as she reached up and pet the dog. "Are you worried about me?" She asked, where he walked over to her, standing over her and the dog. "I'm alright, I'm not lonely." She said as she stopped petting the dog, falling face first into the dirt once more. "I'm not... lonely." She said, sobbing.
Kneeling down, JD placed a hand on her head, petting her as she cried. "Honestly, I don't know what to say." JD said, sitting down and crossing his legs. "I lost everything; I don't even know my name." He said, grabbing her shoulders and pulling her onto his lap, still petting her head. "The way the caretakers talked about you, was mean." He said, with the dog walking around them and then climbing onto her back, where it laid down. "So, how about I become your friend, as well as the little pup here?" He asked, looking down at her.
"A friend?" She asked, not bothering to look up as she just laid on his lap. "I want... friends." She said, with JD smiling at that.
"Then friends, you shall have!" He said, reaching over and petting the dog as well as her.
The next day
Hearing laughter from the classroom, JD opened the door and saw Kaede, his roommate as well as friend, on the ground, and three boys standing over her, laughing at her. "What do you think you're doing?" JD asked, closing the door behind him as he walked in, locking it.
"Who are you?" The leader of the group questioned, with JD looking at him with narrowed eyes.
"Her friend." JD said, walking forward. Seeing milk on her bag, he turned his attention to the others. Watching them back up, JD walked past Kaede and grabbed her bag. "Milk, I guess that makes you three the cows!" He said, smacking the leader with said bag, watching as he fell into his friends, who pushed him forward to keep him from falling down, but this earned him a punch to the nose.
He grabbed his nose, blood pouring out of his hands. "What is wrong with you!?" He yelled, with JD bringing up his fists just in case of a fight.
"What's wrong with me?" JD asked, narrowing his eyes at the three of them. "What's wrong with you? So sad that you pick on a girl? So sad that you will never leave here? So sad that your family never wanted you, so they dumped you here? They probably thought of you as a waist of space and got rid of you!" JD said, with Kaede standing up and then running to the door, where she unlocked and opened it, taking off.
"Get him!" The leader said, with both of the others running at JD. JD punching the first one in the face, knocking him down while the other one punched him, pushing him back. Rearing his head back, JD threw it forward, headbutting the second one in the face, making him grin.
JD then got a flash of, fighting with two other boys. He watched as they were attacked by a group of boys and then jumped in to help them, making it an even three on three fight. JD was easily beaten, but it helped the other two, and they become friends, with them teaching JD how to fight and protect his self.
Moving his head to the side of a punch from the leader, JD swung his fist around and punched him in the cheek, knocking him to the ground. "Ha! You guys' suck!" JD said, with the three of them getting up and rushing him. Spinning on his right foot, JD kicked the three of them in the face with his left, taking all of them down with one kick. "Learned that for Sora!" JD said, then his eyes widened as he said someone's name. "Who is Sora?" He asked himself, where he was then hit in the head from behind.
Later
"This is where bad kids like you end up!" JD heard as he opened his eyes, finding himself in a dark room with nothing on the inside. Standing up, JD looked at the door, seeing the caretaker standing there. "You will stay in here until you can learn to behave like a proper kid!" She said, closing the door and locking it.
Walking over to the door, JD found that there was no door knob, or lock from this side. "I was only protecting my friend!" JD yelled, hitting the door. "You and everyone else here are mean to her, so I took it upon myself to protect her from people like you!" He yelled, kicking the door out of anger of being stuck in there.
There was nothing to do, but sleep.
Three days later
Seeing light flash on him, JD turned to look at the door, seeing some police officers and a man in a suit standing before him. "Is he the only survivor?" The man in the suit questioned, confusing JD on what he meant by survivor.
"The others are dead, this one was locked in here, no way out." The officer said, with JD standing up and looking at him.
"And the diclonious?" He asked, with the officer shaking his head.
"No sign of her, this one shared a room with her, according to the files." He informed, with the man walking over to JD, where he backed away from him as he didn't know who he was or what he wanted.
"You will be coming with us, it's no longer safe for you here." He said, reaching out and grabbing his face, where everything went dark once more.
Two months later
Walking into the next train cart, JD was forced to follow some footprints that belonged to "Lucy". Seeing a little girl get cut in half, JD pulled out his gun and walked up behind the target "Lucy". The boy in front of her started screaming his head off, where the father stood up. "Kouta, why are you screaming-"
He didn't get to finish as his head was cut from his body, killing him. This shocked the boy even more than before, where JD used this time to take aim and fire. He hit the boy in the back of the neck, taking him out of the equation. Seeing "Lucy" turn to JD, he saw the shocked expression on her face.
The face of a friend that JD once knew, Kaede. "Who are you?" She asked, backing away, sending her vectors out to end him. "DIE!?" She yelled, with JD moving through her vectors with ease as he approached her. "What?!" She questioned, with JD reaching her. Grabbing her throat, JD lifted her off the ground." What the... What are you?!" She questioned, gasping for air.
"Project... Frozen... Trooper." JD said, her eyes widening as he spoke.
"It's you?!" She said, recognizing his voice. "What happened to you, answer me!" She yelled, kicking JD in the gut, but his free arm caught her leg, stopping her.
Suddenly, warning signs started going off all over JD's vision, with JD tossing her into the next cart with the dead bodies and the boy, where the cart he was in was then severed. Three Ninjas appeared before JD, each of them holding their swords to his throat. "Hold him!" A fourth voice, a woman spoke, with JD twisting around and knocking their feet out from under them. Grabbing one of their swords, he spun around once more and cut their heads off as they were falling. "Damn, this kid is dangerous!" JD heard, with JD standing up straight and turning to face a woman in a red Chinese dress and black arm guards.
"Target lost, return to base!" JD heard in his ear, with JD turning around and walking forward, stepping out of the front of the cart, or would of if the woman didn't grab his arm. "Boy, are you trying to kill yourself!?" She questioned, with JD grabbing her arm and tossing her over, shocking her. JD watched as she bent her body in the air and grabbed the edge of the cart, sliding under the train.
"Target lost, returning to base." JD said, turning around and walking back the way that he came.
One year later
"Is the Project complete?" JD heard, but his vision was obscured, no, it was as if it was turned off.
"Yes sir, Project Frozen Trooper is now online." JD heard, with his vision coming back to him, only everything was like a mathematic equation. The distance from one spot to another, circles telling him if there was movement, even arrows telling him if there was a corner or not and if something was behind said corner.
"Good, now let the final test begin!" JD heard, with robots popping out of the ground in front of him, but as they came up, they were shot down. JD didn't know what shot them down, but his arm moved on its own, as well as a pistol right in front of him, connected to his arm. "Fast reflexes, took out the fight before it began." The man said, with the arm lowering. "The perfect weapon for capturing Diclonious." He said, with JD's body moving on its own and standing in the middle of the room. "Bring up Number 3." He said, followed by the woman gasping.
"Sir, having him go up against one right now wouldn't be-"
"I said, bring up number 3!" The man repeated, followed by the door on the far side opening while all cover was removed.
"Y-yes sir!" He said, with JD staring into the abyss. After a bit, a small girl with long reddish pink hair crawled forward, no more than two years old. As soon as she was spotted, arms of some kind came out of her back and towards JD. He moved around them without any problem, his body moving faster than he could keep up. Soon enough, JD was on the girl, snapping her neck with his own two hands.
"My god!" The man said as JD dropped the girl on the ground, followed by clapping. "Number 3 has the fastest vectors, and he was still able to move around them like playthings! This is an absolute sucess!" He said, with JD's body turning to face them.
Three year later
"Target found." JD said, jumping from the helicopter and onto a car, where he punched the back seat window behind the driver side and pulled out a man, tossing him into ongoing traffic, killing him as he hit a truck. Taking out his gun, JD shot in the back seat to make sure that he killed "Lucy", as that was his current mission.
Feeling the breaks kick in, JD was flung off the car, with JD getting a good look at who all was in the car. The driver was another male, with a scar on his face. Then there were two girls, one of them being "Lucy", the other being another girl with shoulder length black hair. The girl was tied up, and he could see that "Lucy" had restraints on her as well.
Hitting the ground, JD used the momentum to land on his feet, using his left hand to slow his slide. Standing up, JD could see that "Lucy" wasn't fully there, but the girl was. They were taken captive, making the secondary mission possible.
Capture alive.
Seeing another car ram into the back of theirs, they were pushed forward. Once they got closer, JD jumped over the car and landed on the top. Pulling his arm back, he punched right through the window shield, grabbed the steering wheel and tore it off. Getting shot at by the driver, JD jumped back onto the car behind as they swerved around. Seeing the passenger side door break apart, JD watched as "Lucy" jumped out with the girl. Standing up, JD watched as she looked at him, her eyes wide.
Looking back at the car, JD watched as it flipped, where JD jumped off the car he was on, keeping an eye on "Lucy" as she cut herself and the girl free. "Who is that?" The girl asked, with "Lucy" narrowing her eyes at him.
"Someone who no longer knows who he is, a mindless killing machine. Project Frozen Trooper. We used to be friends." "Lucy" informed, with JD holding his arm up. A drone flew by and dropped a grenade launcher. Catching it, JD took aim and fired, with Lucy getting blown away from the girl, and off the bridge. Walking towards the girl, she backed away and then started running towards the edge of the bridge.
Running at her, JD watched as she jumped over the edge. Holding his hand up, a drone flew by and dropped an M16 into his hands, where he tossed the grenade launcher away. Stopping at the edge, JD saw her get out of the back of a truck with hay in it and ran. Taking aim at where "Lucy" was, JD was hit in the face by a rock. Moving out of the way, his vision as going in and out. Reaching up, JD grabbed the glass over his eyes and tore it off, giving him his normal vision back.
Getting up, JD took aim at her and shot the rocks that she threw at him, with her running as the rounds went straight for her. JD continued to shoot at her as she ran down the street, where he jumped down and landing on a car, giving chase. Pulling out a pistol, JD shot Lucy in the arm, getting a scream and watching as she hid behind a car.
Stopping, JD aimed the M16 and walked down the row of cars. Seeing a shadow, JD pulled out a grenade and rolled it over to the car that she was hiding behind, where it then blew up. Relaxing, JD lowered the gun as his mission was complete. "Lucy" was dead.
Or so he thought.
"Lucy" jumped onto his back from behind, grabbing his helmet. "I'll be taking this!" She said, ripping the helmet off, leaving him with only his mask. Grabbing her, JD flipped her over, making her hit the car that exploded with a loud thud. Picking up the M16, JD took aim at her, but her vectors reached out and caught his arm before he could aim it at her, pushing both hands down.
Looking to the right, JD saw the girl running at him. Looking back at "Lucy", he started to overpower her vectors, with her bringing her other two to hold him in place, but he soon overpowered them as well. "Kaede!" The girl yelled as JD threw his arms out, pulling "Lucy" towards him and then kicking her in the gut, knocking her away. Turing to the girl, she punched him in the face, where he got a flash of a boy punching him the same way, wearing a red hat.
Looking at "Lucy", she jumped up and punched him in the face with her own fist, pushing him away from her and the girl. Punching the door to his right, he ripped it off the henges and smacked "Lucy" with it, sending her flying away from the girl, who looked at him with wide eyes as he held it like a shield. She gave a battle cry before charging, with JD tossing the door at her hard enough to stab into another car. She had dodged the door at the last second, looked at it and then back at JD.
Pulling out a knife, it was then yanked away from him, with JD looking over at "Lucy" as she was running back at him. He was punched in the face by the girl, with JD grabbing her and tossing her over. Getting grabbed by "Lucy's" vectors, he was lifted into the air. "It's me, Kaede! Don't you remember?" She questioned as JD grabbed her vector as he hung in the air.
Just like before, three ninjas appeared, this time aiming their blades at "Lucy's" neck, shocking her at how fast they moved. "Stand down, girl!" The woman in the red Chinese dress said as she walked up to them, with everyone looking at her. She walked past her and towards JD, with JD getting set down. As soon as he was on the ground, he kicked up the knife in his boot, caught it and held it at the ready. The woman got into a combat stance, smirking at JD. "You will Submit!" She said, with JD slashing at her. She brought her arm up to block the slash, using her other hand to grab and twist his arm.
She flipped him over her, with JD landing on his own feet and flipping her as well, with her doing the same. Dropping the knife, JD caught it with his other hand and slashed at her, with her leaning back and kicking his arm up, making him stab his own arm. Getting his arm free from her, he ripped the knife out and held it in a reverse grip.
"What are you doing, you're hurting him!" "Lucy" yelled, with the blades getting closer to her throat, making her stop.
"Quiet girl!" The woman said, with JD charging at her as she looked at "Lucy". She caught the blade in his hand with two fingers, twisted her hand and took the blade from him. Getting kicked in the leg, JD was knocked down and stabbed in the shoulder blade. "This is MY fight, not yours!" She said, ripping the knife out. "A boy, implanted with a combat AI that is supposed to read each and every movement of your opponent as soon as he has his eyes on you." She said, getting ready to stab JD, but was shot in the back, followed by a group of cars pulling up and surrounding them.
"Lady Shiva!" One of them called out, walking over to her but stopped once the guns were aimed at him.
"They are after the girl, get her out of here!" Shiva said, tossing down a smoke grenade, with the whole area filling with smoke. Once it cleared, they were gone, leaving only JD.
"Frozen Trooper!" JD heard, standing up straight. "Kill them, all of them!" He said, holding out a gun, with JD taking it and giving chase.
Later, mall
Dropping down from the third floor, JD landed on one of the ninjas, shooting him in the back of the head and gaining the others attentions. "You two, hold him off!" Shiva said, grabbing the girls by their arms and dragging them away.
"By your orders!" The first one said, with JD watching as he swung his sword. Moving aside, JD grabbed his arm and made him cut his partner in half. Pulling the sword out of his arms, JD spun around and cut his head off. Dropping it, JD walked in the direction of Shiva and "Lucy". Reaching a storage closet, JD went to open the door, but was stopped by a hand.
"We have them cornered; we capture them!" He said, with JD backing away and waiting for backup. They waited for ten minutes for everyone to get into position. "Ok, this should do." He said, with JD kicking the door in and all of them walking in. "Lucy" was holding onto the girl, who looked at them with wide eyes. Shiva was nowhere to be seen, meaning that she had left them to die. Everyone but JD opened fire on the girls, with "Lucy" staying calm while the girl hid her face into "Lucy's" shoulder.
"It's ok, I won't let them hurt you!" She said, with the man looking at JD.
"Move around and get a shot." He said, with JD moving out of the way as the gunfire stopped.
Moving behind some boxes, JD pulled out a pistol and took aim, with JD feeling the back of my neck get chopped, knocking him out.
One month later
Jumping up, JD held the back of his neck. "What the hell was that?!" He yelled, looking around and finding that he was in some kind of cave. "Where am I?" He asked, standing up and walking around.
"Good, you're awake." JD heard, looking at Shiva, who he knew for some reason. "Well then, let's catch you up." She said, tossing a bird onto the ground, with it being dead. "You were taken in by a secret organization, they experimented on you, and turned you into the perfect killing machine. You have Forty-Two kills under your belt, that I know of. You even tried killing that horned girl and her friend. If I didn't stop you, you would have." She said, with JD grabbing his head as he did remember that.
"Why do my muscles hurt?" I asked, with her nodding her head as she crossed her arms.
"Due to the AI that was implanted, your body was moving at one hundred percent the entire time." She informed, with JD nodding and sitting down
"What happened to the others?" He asked, looking up at her.
"Lucy, "Kaede", was taken into captivity to save the girl. The girl, she had her Memory erased so she won't remember any of it." She informed, with JD nodding and sitting down.
"What now?" He asked, with her crossing her arms.
"Now, I train you!" She said, shocking me at what she said. "You are a natural born fighter, believe it or not. Hand to hand against you, will prove fatal." She said, with JD shaking his head as he remembered a plane crash.
"What about my parents... What about my family?" He asked as she placed her hands on her hips.
"Your parents went on the run, they got involved with someone extremely dangerous. They hired me to erase them, as well as you. You don't exist, but he got to them when you left the country, and your plane crashed. When someone ran your prints, I went to investigate. Imagine my surprise when I find out that they turned you into a super soldier." She said, confusing him.
"Super Soldier?" He asked, with her nodding.
"The AI device they implanted in your head." She said, getting a nod from JD.
"Any word on my parents?" JD asked, with her nodding her head.
"They died, your mother shot, and your father drowned. I buried them on the island that I found your father on." She informed, getting a frown from JD who nodded.
"Can I ever return to my old life, the one that I lost?" He asked, getting a nod from her.
"Yes, I have all of your files, DNA and all, and if you want to remember everything, I know someone who can dig into your mind and pull out what you wish to know." She said, JD feeling a bit happier at this bit of information. "But I won't let that happen yet. You are going to be my student!" She said, shocking him as she walked over to a set of sticks and tossed them at me. They landed on the ground, with me looking at them and then her. "This man, the one who killed your family, will hunt you down as well. I want you ready for the day that he comes. No, he won't come for you, you will draw him out and avenge your family!" She said, picking up another set of sticks and pointing one of them at him. "Let's begin, impress me, and I shall tell you your name!" She said as he picked up the sticks in return and attacked.
