Chapter 19

Kagome woke to the warm sun caressing her skin and a pair of strong arms wrapped around her. She laid there for a while just content to be wrapped in the arms of the demon she loved. She finally opened her eyes to be met with the most dazzling pair of golden orbs. She could get lost in these eyes and she often did. "Good morning my love," Kagome said sweetly. Sesshomaru's chest vibrated with a content purr as he nuzzled Kagome's neck. "A good morning it is," Sesshomaru purred.
The pair was back in the western shiro and in Sesshomaru's grand room. It was very large with high ceilings and stone walls and floors. On the far left wall was the largest fireplace Kagome had ever seen. Large piles of furs and fluffy pillows decorated the front so someone could have a comfortable place to sit near the warm flames. Near the fire was a small table with more pillows to sit on. It looked like that was a place for tea. In the center of the back wall was Sesshomaru's bed. It was so big she didn't have a name for it. It rested on a raised platform and had a western style wooden frame. There was the door to their shared bathroom off to the right as well as a closet and the main entrance that we're both blocked from view by screens.
Kagome giggled as Sesshomaru nibbled her neck. She crawled under the large fluffy furs to try to get away from the nibbles that turned into tickling. She squealed when she was pulled back out into the room and wriggled to get free. Laughing hysterically she almost didn't hear the soft knock at the door. "Our daughter is awake," Sesshomaru said as he placed Kagome down next to him. Kagome made sure they were both decent then called out to her daughter. "Come in sweetie!" Kagome yelled excitedly. She missed her little girl. When Rin rounded the screen she broke into a run and squealed, "Mama! Papa!" Kagome held out her arms just in time for Rin to plow into them. Ashi followed after her trotting into the room and jumping on the bed.
The young mother held her daughter tightly while Sesshomaru patted Rin's head affectionately. "Rin missed you both so much!" the happy child said. "We missed you too sweetie," Kagome said lovingly. Ashi climbed up Kagome's chest and nuzzled her neck. "We missed you too Ashi," Kagome said as she petted her three tailed neko. "Come tell us what you've been up to while we were away," Kagome said while she settled Rin into her lap then nuzzled into Sesshomaru. Ashi curled up in Rin's lap and listened contentedly.
Both adults listened to the five year old explain every minute of their absence from the child's life in the past month. She told them of her adventures with Jaken and the new flowers in her garden and how she beat her toad babysitter at every game of hide and seek they played. An hour passed by while they listened to story after story from their child. When Rin's stomach growled from hunger Kagome ushered her out of the room to find Jaken and have him escort her to breakfast. Ashi leaped off the bed and followed after the child. Kagome laughed and realized Ashi may have a new favorite now.
Kagome stretched and gathered a few things for a bath. "Sessho, would you like to bathe with me?" Kagome asked coyly. Sesshomaru grinned and ran at her, making her squeal when he threw her over his shoulder.
Sesshomaru didn't give Kagome a chance to undress, he just threw her into the water. Kagome came to the surface with a now soaked sleeping yukata. Kagome sputtered with water in her mouth, "Hey mister! I'll get you for that!" Kagome started to splash water with her hands towards the ornery demon. With a playful growl, Sesshomaru jumped in and grabbed Kagome around the waist and pulled her towards the back of the spring. The couple faced each other and grinning as water dripped from their soaked clothes.

"My little miko, did you just splash me?" Sesshomaru teased as he gathered Kagome's wrists together and pulled them behind her. Kagome moaned slightly as Sesshomaru bent to lay small kisses along her neck. Kagome turned her head and nipped the soft lip that teased her neck. She was suddenly turned around with her back pressed against Sesshomaru's chest. "Ah ah my vixen," Sesshomaru lectured as he lightly stroked her cheek with deadly fingers. "You will submit to me first then you may play," the Lord said seductively. "Never," replied Kagome coyly.
Sesshomaru growled deeply into her ear and parted her yukata. He slipped his strong hand into her most private area then, minding his claws, thrusted his fingers into her sex. Kagome gasped then moaned loudly. Defiantly, she yanked one arm free and separated Sesshomaru's yukata. She quickly grabbed a hold of the heated silky rod that poked her behind. Sesshomaru growled and nipped her ear harshly. He drove his fingers deeper inside her and she moaned in pleasure mixed with pain.
Kagome stroked and pulled at the throbbing cock in her hand and was still mildly concerned if it would fit inside her. A loud banging at the door interrupted the couple. Kagome sagged against the rock and growled at the intruder. Sesshomaru was far from pleased as he pulled Kagome into the water to shield her. "What?!" Sesshomaru snarled. "Be-beg your pardon my Lord," the skittish servant said as he slid the door open, "but the eastern Lord's daughter has arrived. She is making quite a ruckus and is demanding an audience with your grace," stammered the terrified servant.
Sesshomaru growled and rested his forehead on Kagome's shoulder. She rubbed his chest soothingly trying to calm his frustration. "Leave," Sesshomaru barked. Kagome giggled when she heard the servant shriek and run from the room sliding the door shut with a loud clang. She laid her cheek against Sesshomaru's warm chest and sighed. "So being a lord seems fun?" Kagome teased. "Indeed," Sesshomaru said.
The miko and demon lord finished their bath and readied themselves for the day. Kagome helped Sesshomaru tie his obi and he in turn picked out a beautiful kimono for Kagome to wear. It was simple yet elegant. The inner layer was a light sky blue and the outer layer was a light lavender. The stitching was done in gold and on each shoulder was a hexagon with a blossom inside. It was a symbol of the west and that Kagome was to be Sesshomaru's intended. Both of them smiled as golden leaves stitched themselves around said symbol.
The couple walked to the throne room where the noises of arguing could be heard louder and louder as they grew closer. When they arrived outside the throne room two servants opened the double doors and announced their arrival. "Announcing the arrival of our Lord Sesshomaru of the Western lands and his mate to be Lady Kagome of the Shikon no Tama," yelled the servant standing near the doors. All of the guards and other staff bowed.
Sesshomaru escorted them both to a raised platform that held two large pillows side by side. Sesshomaru helped Kagome to sit on the left pillow, then he folded himself onto the larger one in the center.
Once they were both seated, Sesshomaru looked to the servant nearest him. "Bring in the Eastern Princess," Sesshomaru commanded boredly. "Announcing the arrival of Princess Misaki of the Eastern lands," yelled the same servant who announced their arrival. A moment later a beautiful Inu demoness entered the room. She was short and very skinny. Her hair was black and straight. Her face was beautiful but caked with makeup. She wore a seven layer kimono and many different pieces of jewelry. Kagome could tell right away this woman was spoiled and selfish. She was, however, very beautiful. She held her head high and didn't seem to notice Kagome until she stopped in front of the dais. If looks could kill Kagome would be dead. This princess's dull brown eyes were not pleased in the least to see her next to Sesshomaru.
"Speak," commanded Sesshomaru with a blank, harsh tone. "I bid you a good day MY lord," greeted the woman snidely. "If I may ask who is this human you have with you. Is she a pet?" Sesshomaru growled and Kagome frowned slightly. She was used to insults but didn't expect them from someone who didn't know her. "Watch your tongue," snapped Sesshomaru. "This is Lady Kagome, she is this Sesshomaru's intended and you will treat her with the respect she deserves while in this one's home." The rude demoness chuckled and pulled a fan from her sleeve to cover her mouth. "You must jest my Lord, a human for a mate? You must mean a concubine at most?"
Kagome put a hand atop Sesshomaru's to calm him as she could feel his anger rising. She was met with another death glare from the jealous woman. "Masaki is it?" Kagome asked boredly. "Princess Masaki to you human," bit back the Princess. "Hn," Kagome said. "Don't act so high and mighty! You're nothing. Lord Sesshomaru will see that I am the better match," replied the flustered woman. "That must be stressful for you, to think you have a chance with Sesshomaru-Sama. I am truly sorry," Kagome said with a kind bored smile. "Uggh! You are no one, you cannot think you are better than me!" Masaki practically screamed.
Kagome turned to Sesshomaru, "Koi unless you need me I will take my leave now. I longer wish for the company of such childishness." Sesshomaru nodded and stood with Kagome. He turned to the angered Princess, "Your father is a valuable ally therefore you may stay as a guest but do not mistake you will be forced from these lands should you forget your place." With that being said the couple left the room and the fuming Masaki behind.
They did not hear the mumbled threat that came from the jealous woman. "Make no mistake about this, I will have you Sesshomaru. No human will take what is mine."
