It's a bright and sunny day. Pokémon are out and about, flying, running around and much more. From the sky, a dirt road is seen and a cloud is seen forming a trail. A closer look reveals a red car, as it speeds down the dirt road, like the driver is getting away from something. As it continues a building comes into view and the car comes up to the building. While approaching the building a garage door opens as the car has begun to slow down. The car enters the building with out stopping, continuing to slow down. As the car comes to a stop both doors open.

A slender leg steps onto the concrete floor, as a leg on the other side of the car in brown pants steps onto the concrete floor as well. Both humans get out as we see Delia and Looker. The two of them close their door, Delia a bit more skeptical as she looks around. Completely confused as to what's going on. Looker goes over to a door as Delia follows behind, cautiously. Looker hits four numbers on the key pad and the light on the key pad goes from red to green. He opens the door and allows Delia inside first and he follows after. Inside it is dark until lights start to come on. Delia looks around, surprised. Seeing people move about. Bustling busy, Pokémon all over the place as well. Some people look at her, wondering who she is and she's there. Looker goes up to her and she looks at him.

Being very confused about what all is going on and wondering why he dragged her away from her home. Before she could say anything he looked ahead.

"Ahead to the elevator please!" he requested. She looked ahead and saw the elevator. She headed right for it and he followed right behind. She about hit the button on it until he hit it. "Many buttons in here are bio-metric. Security reasons." he informed her. The elevator doors opened and they both stepped in. There were a lot of buttons on the wall panel, but Looker inserted a key above the buttons. After turning the key he hit a button with out a number on it.

The elevator began to move and Delia still didn't know what was going on. She looked at him and he didn't say anything. She opened her mouth to say something. "We'll get to your questions soon." he told her. This stopped her as she didn't even see him look at her. It wasn't long until the elevator came to a stop, the doors opened and the two of them stepped out. "I know we've been traveling for a bit of time. But there's a lot we need to brief you on." he informed her as they came up to a door. Delia still wanted to know what was going on and she heard a buzzing sound. Looker opened the door and they stepped into an office. Delia looked and saw a chair turned to them as Looker closed the door.

She looked to Looker then the chair. That's when she heard a voice. "I take it that the teams are about to start a fight! They found Delia with that emerald jewel she possesses?" the voice requested.

"Yes! From my undercover work, they are on the island right now. No telling what their intentions are. One thing I do understand is that the island had somehow appeared out of nowhere." Looker informed the person.

That's when the chair spun around and the man looked at Looker and Delia. He had black hair, green eyes and was in a sort of business casual attire. "Then I think we need to make another move!" the man stated.

At the old rope bridge, Ash and Misty looked at it, a bit reluctant, but Ash could tell something about the rope bridge. He gripped it and Misty looked in a bit of shock as he had begun to walk across it. Walking on it, a camera from the building was watching him and Misty got very worried. Ash felt how sturdy the bridge was and looked to her. "Come on, Mist. The bridge is sturdy enough." he reassured her. She carefully grabbed the rope and began to follow behind, even as her heart skipped a beat. Ever since she heard him call her that, it made her feelings for him grow further.

"I hope you're right." she replied to him.

"I know I am. Trust me. I still remember the bridges we walked on before." he continued to reassure her.

The camera continued to watch them. Misty steadily following behind Ash as he approached the end of the bridge. Misty was close to the end of the bridge when it shook a bit; having been a while since she had done something like this in years. She about looked down until Ash grabbed her hand and pulled her the rest of the way, right into his arms. She had her hands on his chest, her head lowered into his chest as he held her close, her eyes closed. It took her a couple of seconds, but she blinked her eyes open.

She looked back at the bridge then to Ash, who was still holding her. He smiled down at her as she blushed. Seeing a chance to kiss him, she knew it wasn't the right time. She managed to stand back a bit, feeling her balance return. "Thanks, Ash. I was a bit nervous." she told him.

"Been a while since you did something like this, huh?" he asked.

"It has been a while, but I'm curious about this building." she responded.

The two of them looked at the building and saw that it was completely run down. Looking as if it hadn't been operated for months. Ash approached cautiously and placed his hand on the door. Pikachu looked at the door with curiosity. "I wonder. How do we get in?" he questioned. That was when they heard a buzzing sound and a clicking noise. Ash looked at the handle and gripped it before rotating it down and opening the door.

"Pi pika pikachu pika (I guess that's how)." Pikachu replied.

Misty went up to Ash and he looked back to her. "Take my hand, okay?" he told her as he extended his arm back.

"I will." she replied when she took his hand.

The three of them entered as the door closed behind them. It was fairly dark in there as they began to walk forward. Ash could just barely see as Misty grabbed his arm with her hands, until lights came on. The two of them looked around, seeing how the inside was; Misty still hanging onto his arm with one hand. Ahead of them were walkways that looked like a bit of a maze with small gaps between them. They looked in front of them and saw a screen. It turned on and they realized it was like a digital sign that had rules on it.

Greetings to any and all trainers! Welcome to the next round of getting your badge-symbol. There are going to be a few trials that you must face before you can reach me. The maze you see before you is your first trial. The rules are very simple.

Rules

You cannot use any Pokémon to help you, unless it's an emergency.

If you have any Pokémon outside their Pokeballs, they may remain outside as long as they don't assist you.

If you are traveling with someone, they are permitted to help you, but you must help them more in this maze, for this maze is meant to test your skills.

If any form of cheating is caught, you will be disqualified and ejected from this mountain. You cannot return for 3-6 months.

If you have gotten to me, beaten me, but we have seen you cheat in secrecy in the maze, or in the battle somehow. You will be tracked down, the badge-symbol taken from you and you can't return for a whole year from that date.

If you do get more assistance in the maze than what we have stated, you will be kicked out and can't return for a month.

The person your traveling with may use either theirs or your Pokémon for as much assistant, if need be.

Ash was a bit nervous, but he looked to Misty and Pikachu then to the maze. It looked difficult, but he knew there would be challenges. Misty took his hand gently and he looked back at her. "You got this Ash and you don't have to worry about me all that much." Misty told him.

"Pika pi pika pi pikachupi. (Likewise, with me, Ash.)" Pikachu replied with confidence.

Ash smiled at the two of them and gently squeezed Misty's hand. "You both should know me better than that; but I know I can't break the rules. We just have to do our very best." He told them.

Misty gave a nod. "I agree." She replied.

"Pika pika, pi. Pika chu. (I agree, too. Let's go.)" Pikachu responded with his paw in the air as a fist.

They went to the entrance of the maze and Ash saw the first gap. With Pikachu on his shoulder, he jumped across and looked back to Misty. Holding out his arms Misty jumped, and he caught her by her waist as she landed. They kept on from there and made a couple of turns, on of which, Misty almost fell off. The hand rail seemed to have fallen off and began to fall with it until Ash grabbed her hand.

"Don't worry. I got ya." He told her as he pulled her back up.

"Th-thanks, Ash." Misty thanked as she blushed a bit.

"No problem. What we need to do is be more careful. Try to keep close and let's hold hands." He told her. Misty didn't argue as she took his hand and went with him.

In a different room, with many tv monitors, someone was watching them. Keeping an eye on their every movement. Seeing what just happened and noticing Ash and Misty are holding hands, Pikachu sitting on his shoulder. The person looks perplexed as to what is going on currently. Even as Ash makes a bigger jump, Pikachu holding on, and catches Misty the same way like last time. "He might be different from most of the trainers I had to kick out and track down." The person remarked. "I still wonder why good show even had him come here second. I'm one of the toughest final Brain Leaders. He best have a good reason." He stated to himself.

While Ash and Misty were both walking, the floor came out from underneath Ash and he fell though, but managed to grab the edge. "ASH!" Misty called out as she went down to help him. The same person watched to see what would happen, as this might disqualify him.

"No, don't, Misty." Ash warned her. She stopped but was ready to help him. Ash looked over to Pikachu. "Jump up there, buddy. I got this." He told him as Pikachu hung on. Pikachu looked at him, hesitant. "Don't worry. I got this." He told the both of them. Pikachu did as he said, and Ash began to pull himself up. Getting back on the metal platform, he sighed a breath of relief.

"Seems like he knows what he's doing. I wonder how much of a challenge he will be?" the person said and began to mess with the controls in the room. The platforms ahead of Ash and Misty changed a bit, including by adding some metal hills.

Ash carefully got up and helped Misty up as Pikachu got back on his shoulder. "You both okay?" he asked.

"We're both fine. Are you okay?" Misty asked out of concern.

"He he, don't worry about me. This is meant to be a challenge." He told her before jumping over the gap. This time, he put out his hand and Misty took it. He carefully pulled her across the gap as she jumped over it. They continued on as the person in the separate room laid back in their chair.

"Seems like he's doing things legitimately. He doesn't even have far to go." He complimented.

Ash and Misty made it to one of the metal hills. Ash was the first to climb up and he reached for Misty's hand. Letting him have her hand, he helped pull her up as she used her feet to climb. After sitting on the top Ash got down. Turning to face him, he raised his arms and caught her by her waist as she pushed herself off the top.

They kept on going from there as they kept on jumping over other gaps and going over metal hills. Ash made sure both Misty and Pikachu were safe. As he did, the operator in the other room saw all that Ash was doing. Allowing Pikachu to jump to the next platform ahead of them and catching Misty when she followed suit.

It wasn't long until there was a much bigger gap, as the room operator had decided to extend the distance of the walkway. The three of them looked at the distance and Ash looked to Misty first, then Pikachu.

Pikachu looked forward with a lot of intent. "Ready buddy?" Ash asked his companion.

"Pika! (Yes!)" Pikachu acknowledged. From there, using extra momentum, Pikachu ran down Ash's arm and Ash flung him, giving him extra air and distance. Pikachu landed with ease and looked back to them, giving off a thumbs-up. "Pika pika. (I'm okay.)" he said.

Ash looked to Misty. "Are you ready?" Ash asked. She looked at him confused as he stepped back a couple of steps before he ran and jumped. Misty and Pikachu watched him as if in slow motion. Anxious to see if he would make this jump until he landed. Looking back, he saw her with a bit of a surprised look. "Just do what I did or go a little further back. I'll catch you." He lightly shouted to her. Gaining some confidence, she did as Ash and repeated the process. As she ran, she closed her eyes before jumping; she didn't know if she'd be able to make it.

It seemed like it took forever, but she had her eyes were closed. Not opening them after she had jumped. Unknowing where the platform was. "You can open your eyes, now." A familiar voice said to her. Misty opened her eyes and blinked a few times and looked around, to see Ash holding her. She looked up to see Ash smiling down at her and she saw that he was holding her with one arm under her back and under her legs.

"How did I…?" she questioned.

"You had your eyes closed. I knew I had to catch you another way; especially after your body turned." Ash told her.

Misty was blushing when she looked at the platform, the gap then back to Ash. He only had a cheeky smile. 'I'm glad he caught me. But why did I even close my eyes? Probably been a while or something.' She thought to herself.

"Would you like for me to carry you the rest of the way?" he asked her.

"N-no, but thanks, Ash." She replied. Ash let her down easy. From there she decided to kiss his cheek and he blushed, with her hands lightly touching his chest. "Thank you for catching me." She said to him.

Ash blushed a bit and put his hands on her waist. "N-no problem." He responded. They began to draw closer, her hands pushing against his chest and his hands firm on her waist. The two getting close for another kiss until Pikachu got their attention.

"Pika pikachu pi pika chu. (I found the door out of here.)" he told them.

Ash and Misty broke out of their trance and looked at Pikachu. They looked and saw him right near the door. Realizing they were very close to each other, they pulled apart quickly; both blushing immensely.

"Y-you ready?" Ash asked her, nervously.

"Y-yes. I'm r-ready." Misty replied.

The two of them began for the door, their hands swaying past each other, wanting to be held by the other.

'I can't believe it. I almost kissed her. Does she have the same feeling for me?' he questioned to himself, and he glanced at her.

'I-I can't believe it. We almost kissed. If we did, I would've let him know how I feel and I want to be his girlfriend. I about he would instantly ask me to marry him. If he did, I would say yes to become Mrs. Misty Ketchum." Misty thought to herself.

They had approached the door and Ash looked at it as it looked like a thick metal door. He looked at the handle as it wasn't one where you had to turn it or push a button. Gripping it he began to pull and it slowly began to open. Misty and Pikachu watched in surprise as he had managed to open it most of the way.

'How strong did he become?' Misty asked herself.

They walked into the next room and saw another door at the end of a walkway. Looking around the three carefully walked into and began to move forward.

"Either this is too easy, or something will happen too soon." Ash commented. Pikachu looked around as Misty stayed close to Ash.

"What do you think will happen?" she asked.

"My guess, the floor will move." he told her,

The person in the control room only smiled. "How right you are." The person complimented. Hitting the controls on the panel he watched the screen.

The walkway began to shake as Misty clung onto Ash's arm and he held her close. Pikachu jumped on his shoulder as the walkway broke apart and more pieces of walkway began to rise up and connect with smaller and larger pieces. Even pieces of wall came up and formed into place of the walkways. It didn't take long for everything to put itself together, as Ash could tell this was another challenge.

Ash looked to Misty and Pikachu. "You both okay?" he asked.

"Doing fine, but that startled me. I didn't expect for all of this." Misty stated.

"Pika pika. (Neither did I)". Pikachu remarked.

Ash looked and saw another sign.

This maze has the same rules as the last one. Very little to no help and no cheating.

Good luck. You're very close to your goal.

Ash looked to them. "We're very close. My guess is that my next challenge is past that door." He told them. Misty let go of his arm and he took her hand. "Let's continue to stay close together." He told her as he smiled. She blushed as she nodded.

They walked along the new maze, not knowing where to go. They even ran into a couple of dead ends. Ash could tell this was a bit tougher than last time. Pikachu was looking around, not knowing where they needed to go to next. Even Misty was a little confused but figured out some of the paths they needed to take. Ash also figured out some paths they needed to take until they came upon some gaps that were near the exit.

"Seems like we're going to have to jump." Ash commented.

Misty looked ahead and saw the gaps in the walkway. "Seems like this person likes to challenge the trainers." She commented as well.

Going up to the first gap, Ash did a light jump over it and reached for Misty's hand. "I gotcha." He told her. She took his hand and lightly jumped across as Ash pulled her across. Having to make a turn, they saw the next gap and it was a bit larger. Ash jumped across and Misty followed as Ash caught her. Continuing they found the last gap and it was larger and at the end of the walkway.

Ash picked Misty up and she looked very surprised at this. "Going to see is this is easier." He told her. Pikachu jumped off his should got a running start. Jumping over the gap, he made it to the otherside.

"Pika pika. (I made it.)" he shouted giving the peace sign.

"Our turn, Mist." Ash said.

"Gotcha, Ash." Misty acknowledged and wrapped her arms around his neck.

From there he ran and gave off a strong jump. He held Misty close as he did, and everything seemed to go in slow-motion right there as well. Looking at the landing spot, he realized Misty would be hitting the ground as he couldn't brace himself. He was used to doing this with Pokemon, but not a human. He managed to turn his body. Seeing what he was doing, Misty got wide eyed and Ash landed with a thud on his back. Misty flew away from him a bit but got back up and ran over to him.

Pikachu did the same and Ash looked like he was in a bit of pain. "Ash! Are you alright?" she asked out of concern.

"D-don't worry about me." He responded to her as he attempted to get up.

Misty placed one hand on his back and the other on the ground to keep leverage. "Don't worry about you? You know I'm going to worry about you. Even after that." She told him and helped him to sit up.

"That did hurt a little, but I'll be fine." Ash tried to reassure her until he began to get up and felt a little pain in his back. Misty sat him back down.

"A little hurt. You just hurt your back. I'm not about to let you cause yourself anymore pain." She told him.

It wasn't long until the door opened up. "These metal floors are incredibly hard. I'm surprised you're not in any serious pain." A voice said. The two of them looked and saw a figure in the doorway and the figure entered. "I know what my rules are, but even I know when they need to be broken." The figure stated.

Ash, Misty, and Pikachu looked at the figure and saw that the figure was a male as he went in front of them. Holding out a controller he hit a button and the place began to realign itself. The floors and walls going back down and the original floors going back into alignment. When they looked at him, he had on black jeans, black shoes with white soles on the bottom, a blue jacket with a red shirt on underneath. His hair was blonde, he had black eyes.

"The name's Chad and you must be Ash Ketchum?" Chad asked him.

"Y-yes, my name's Ash Ketchum." He replied.

"I thought so. I was told you were coming here. They normally don't tell me as a surprise. This is a very rare case." He told them as he help Ash up. Misty got up and they both wrapped each of Ash's arms around their neck. "I accept the challenge, especially after watching you work hard and doing all the work." He told them.

Pikachu ran up to Misty and jumped on her shoulder. "Will Ash be okay?" she requested.

"I know he will be. Just got to have a good look at his back before we begin the match." He told them as they walked carefully. "I might issue challenges and be tough. But I know when not to push the boundaries with trainers. Even the experienced ones." He told them as they went through the door.

Back with Delia, she was in a room with a bed, sofa, tv and bathroom. She was looking out the window, seeing so much of the forest around the building she was in. While she looked out the window, a reflection next to hers appeared next to hers as the figure walked up. It was Looker at he began to stand next to her.

"I do hope you're wondering why you're here still?" he requested.

She nodded. "I still wonder that. I'm also very worried about Mr. Mime." She explained.

"Don't worry. We have agents heading to your house and they'll watch over the place." He informed her. "Also, we do need for you to try and explain thing to Mr. Mime." He told her as he held up a tablet. She looked at it confused as he activated it and hit a few touchscreen buttons on it. "Our agents have recently arrived there." He informed her as a video call came up.

"Here, Mr. Mime. Delia is on the screen. You can chat with her." A voice told him.

She looked at it as Mr. Mime's face came into view. He looked at her and she him. "Mime? Mime! (Huh? Delia?)" he wondered.

"Oh, my. Mimey! It's so good to see you again." She told him very cheerfully.

"Mime, mime, Mime. (Likewise, here, Delia.)" he replied.

She looked up at Looker. "What all is going on?" she questioned.

"There's a lot that we have to discuss. For right now. Just let Mr. Mime know what he needs to do." He told her.

"Right." She replied, sternly and looked back to the tablet. "Now, Mr. Mime. Just go about what you normally do and if those agents request anything. Help them out in anyway." She told him.

"Mime, Mime. (Yes, Delia.)" he replied before she hung up.

She handed the tablet back. "Now tell me, what all is going on!" she demanded.

"I'm afraid that after many events that have occurred. It seems as if from what your son and his friends were a part of, has caused something to happen." He explained to her.

He brought out another tablet and showed her the events he was talking about. She saw one of where Ash helped to save the world as he was the chosen one. Another one was where they stopped the spell of the Unknown. Another was he and his friends fought against Team Aqua and Magma and so many others. Delia gasped at this.

"I know this is shocking to you, but it seems as if all of this stuff connects. Including of where Ash goes off with Dawn and Brock into the past to change future events." He informs her. Delia just couldn't believe her eyes. All of this was hard to take in. "We managed to get all this over the years. Including when your husband went out on his journeys." He told her. She gasped and looked at him. "After he went on his journeys, he met up with us after several months. After 2 years, he went on a dangerous undercover assignment. He knew the risks, but he didn't want you to worry." Looker informed Delia.

"No wonder why he hasn't shown up after all these years." Delia commented to herself then she looked to Looker. "When did all of this happen? What was this assignment? What all does this have to do with Ash?" she requested.

"This happened while Ash was 9. Your husband went missing right before Ash turned ten. The assignment was while he was deep undercover in…" He paused for what seemed like a moment and Delia was anxious to know what had occurred. "He was deep under in Team Rocket." he stated. That's when Delia let out a loud gasp.
