It was almost two hours later and Sarabeth had finished on the library main system. She replaced the panel and gathered her tools, putting each where it belongs, and headed out. Master Jocasta spoke, "Finished already?"
Sarabeth bowed to her, "Yes Madame Librarian. The bugs are all out and it should work faster now. Please let me know if it needs more work."
Jocasta smiled, "I will. Thank you child."
After returning the smile Sarabeth saw the wave of dismissal and left the Library. Walking down the corridor she headed towards the eating area. She had forgotten to have breakfast, now it was after lunch and both facts were being reinforced by her stomach. After sitting down with her meal in the corner with her back to the wall watching the seating area Sarabeth heard an alarm. It was a proximity alarm I hate those daredevils she thought believing it was the clone pilots again, seeing how close they could get to the temple. Then she smiled at the image of Wolfe chewing them out for it and settled down to eating.
There was the sound of another person entering the eating area and she looked up to see Master Plo Koon. Smiling she spoke, "Hello Master. Decided to eat for once?"
It was an ongoing joke, which always answered with, 'Yes, the nutritional value of food is required by all.' To her surprise he answered, "When have I not?"
Strange but not out of the range of possibility. So when he came to sit across form her she asked, "What happened with Wolfe?" There was a moment of confusion passing over his face so she continued acting as if she hadn't seen it, "Did the strange ship land? Who was the Piot?"
"No, it did not." Was the answer, "Probably another of the Clone Pilots trying to get through again."
Thats not right, the Clones would never use a different kind of ship than the one they were assigned and Wolffe knew them all. Still she nodded, forcing a smile, "Your probably right." Was that relief that I bought it? After a slight stretch, "I wouldn't want to be the pilot when Wolffe catches up with him."
"What will Wolffe do?" Was the response.
This is definitely not Master Plo. He knows his Commander well enough to know exactly what Wolffe would do. Still forcing notchelance, "He probably will chew them out, while putting the fear of the here after into them." Cocking her head to one side, "I wonder if he will stab them this time."
Wolffe hadn't stabbed a pilot, he had come close but he never actually went through with it. So when the fake Plo answered, "I hope he doesn't do it again." She knew for certain this was not Plo.
Standing up Sarabeth continued, "Well, I've finished and better get back."
The fake Plo stood too, blocking her exit. Then he made a dive at her with a syringe, probably with something that would knock her out. Sarabeth jumped over the table and made a dash towards the door. Grabbing one of the trays on the stand next to it she turned in time to knock the syringe out of her pursers hand.
Staring at her in shock and anger he grabbed Plo's lightsaber from his belt. Sarabeth took Master Qui Gon Jinns from hers and both lightsabers lit. However in the fight that followed Sarabeth soon got the upper hand, because first Qui Gon and then Obi-Wan had trained her to use the elegant weapon.
After she knocked the lightsaber away from her opponent she replaced hers on her belt and aksed, "Do you care to continue?" By way of answer he tried to tackle and or punch her, which she dodged before kicking him in the back of the left leg causing it to collapse. Two more quick kicks to his right hip and he had collapsed onto his knees. Then she hit him over the head with a flower pot causing it to shadder and knocking him out just as Master Windu and the real Master Plo came into the room.
They surveyed the wreckage of the place before Master Plo Koon spoke, "It seems as if our aid was not necessary." Patting Sarabeth on the shoulder, "Well done child."
Master Windu looked at her, "Who taught you that?"
Looking up at him, "Obi-wan finished the training Master Qui Gon gave me with a lightsaber as well as in hand to hand combat." Glancing at the unconscious figure on the ground, "the clones have taken turns in helping me with different styles of the last one." Looking up at Master Windu, "I am not as helpless and he seemed to think."
The dark skinned Jedi Master nodded. "And it is very well that you are not."
She smiled shyly then spoke, "I should clean this up." Windu nodded ascent and took the prisoner to the lock up while she did. Master Plo took the Syringe to be studied but came back to help her. The conversation they had proved this was the real one and she was able to relax again.
