Hi everyone! Thank you to all those who took the time to read and comment. With that said I'll be honest with you all, this fic is part of a long list of fic ideas I wrote down a long time ago.I was shifting though it to figure which were actually ideas I could follow through and which were just cool concept ideas for fics.
Yeeeah, I'm not really feeling this as I was at the start but I think contributing to the small but existing Celegami fanbase is the least I can do to make up for it.
If this concept inspires or interests anyone on doing their own version of it then be my guest. Byakuya isn't my favorite guy but I found this part of his past interesting and not very talked about. Kind of surprised I'm the first to do this or I might not be and just haven't seen them since like I said Byakuya isn't my favorite guy in the franchise so I don't look at much content of him.

The girl standing across from him was wearing her usual against the dress code Lolita fashion was none other then Celestia Ludenburg.
Out of all the girls in this school he knew of, she was one of the few least annoying ones.
During the mock debates that their shared history and literature classes had she was fairly clever. Byakuya knew a kiss up from a genuine compliment so when the nicknamed queen of liars praised a few of his views he knew it was genuine. Byakuya tended to cringe both externally and internally at people that nicknamed themselves kings or queens of anything. Even with that in mind he couldn't deny reputation proceeded her. She was manipulative and had no shortage of little minions around the school when she wanted info on a potential gambling opponent.
Looks wise she was fairly attractive with pale skin and slender frame. Dating someone with both deceptive beauty and mind to match was a gamble on it's own but he wasn't afraid of that. He was doing this out of experiment and partly spite after all. If things didn't pan out then he'd just dump her. That thought in mind he approached her.
"Celest." He greeted with curt nod.
"Good day Byakuya." The goth nodded in return.
"I'll cut right to it. Tonight there will be an import of my family's line of tea at a nearby restaurant this weekend. They also have gambling tournaments there on weekends. If you come with me there as my date I might be able to get you case of the tea and let you join the matches." Byakuya said.
Rather then smiling or giving her fake polite one the girl merely looked at him with unimpressed raised eyebrow. Other then sighing and turning around in her seat she didn't give him a response. Even as reserved as she was he was still expecting at a little more of a reaction or response then that.
"Do you want me to tell you when I'll pick you up for the date then this weekend?" He asked.
"No, because I didn't agree to go on one nor did you ask me on one." The goth said plainly.
"Why not? Also I clearly did ask you out just now." Byakuya couldn't help the annoyance that crept into his voice.
"No, you told me about a place, a time you'd like to go there and agreed with yourself the time I could have there. I realize we come from fairly different backgrounds but in most people's world that is a commercial advertisement not a proposal." Celest stated in a matter of fact tone.
"You suddenly don't like high quality tea or gambling?" He said with a raised eyebrow.
Nothing on the goth girl's face changed as she turned back around to face him. She simply played with her hair a bit as she answered.
"I just found it a bit presumptuous of you thinking that I didn't have anything better to do later on the weekend. That and you did not in fact asked me out. You said a place you expect me to go with you. No where in that did you once say it was a date until you mentioned a pick up time. I know money doesn't buy tastes but I would think it would come with some etiquette classes from a distinguished line like yours. I suppose even the Togami family has to be lacking in some department. No?"
"No, my family nor I am lacking in any department." He huffed at the implication.
"Hmm, so you say but if that is true then let's try that again. "
Celest then got up and walked out the door before coming back inside walking in the same manner she had earlier. Byakuya snorted and rolled his eyes at this but would humor her. He honestly thought she had a thing for him at least for a while so the fact she was being so particular about the whole affair seemed strange.
"Good morning Celest, I have a proposal for you today."
"Really? And what grand proposal could I as the most humble gambler in Hope's peak expect from you?" She responded.
"She is really trying to ham this up isn't she? Fine."
"Oh Celest, my family is having a grand event of tea and tournament this weekend. If your free would you mind going as my date for it?" If there was any sarcasm in his voice she either didn't hear it or chose to ignore it.
"Now that was much better, though typically its tradition to give a girl something as you ask them out that can wait for later I suppose. Yes, I will go with you this weekend."
"Good, I'll see you at 8pm tonight then."

Hello! Yeah...I am so sorry for those who were genuinely interested in this being a much longer saga. I just always found it odd that despite Byakuya's fandom no one ever explored his inheritance system within his backstory is basically Togami family harem legacy in its own sense. Was thinking of doing Aoi/Byakuya or Celest/Byakuya as end game before I even started this but all the in-between I don't think I can do. Still I wanted to give those who liked this something. Might just make a spin-off one-shot of Byakuya/Celest route though.
