Leo groans as he steps out onto the ice, where Jason is already shooting pucks into the goalie net. "Jase?" The blonde doesn't turn to look at him, instead grunting loudly. Leo rolls his eyes before skating out next to him.

"Dude? Are you good?" He asks when he reaches his best friend, his eyebrows furrowing. Jason rips off his helmet, revealing his sweaty face and golden hair which is plastered to his forehead. "Just needed to shoot some pucks." Leo stares at him.

Jason's clearly irritated, but about what, Leo has no idea. He decides to shrug it off, smacking his palm against Jason's shoulder. "C'mon. Let's skate some laps. Get some of that anger out of you."

Ever the good all American boy, Jason follows as Leo pushes back and begins skating around the rink. They race around the rink together, Leo leading. He's sweating like a pig and he can hear himself pant as Jason catches up to him. After what feels like forever, they stop to catch a break, and Leo notices a familiar face in the stands.

It's the girl from last time. She never told them her name, but he remembers Mitchell mentioning that he worked with a girl named Piper who was a figure skater. He figures that's her name and he calls it out after catching his breath.

"Yo Piper!" She looks at him, almost confused before slipping her skate guards off and skating out into the rink. "How'd you know my name?" She asks and Jason raises an eyebrow at him.

"Yeah Valdez. How'd you know her name?" Leo shrugs as nonchalantly as he could. "Mitchell only works with a few people, and considering I've met Silena and Lacy, she must have been Piper."

Piper stares at him for a moment before talking. "Wow. I must have stumbled upon a genius." She says, as she then laughed.

If Leo was a more poetic person, he'd say it sounded like a melody, but in reality, it's almost obnoxious. It fits her though. He doesn't realize that he started staring off into the distance until Piper's voice brings him out of his thoughts.

"Oh by the way! I brought you guys Timmies! To repay you for last week." Leo and Jason share a look as she turns and skates back to the stands, and the bench before grabbing a giant box of timbits and two hot chocolates. She skates back and hands them over to them, a tentative grin on her face.

"Thank you." Jason says with a tight lipped smile and Leo follows after him, his mom's voice playing his head. Mijo, she says in his head, if there's one thing I know, it's that I didn't teach you to be ungrateful. Leo grins before speaking to Piper.

"Thanks Beauty Queen." They all freeze and Leo's cheeks heat up when he realizes what he said. "I uh-" Jason saves his ass with a smirk. "Ignore him, he doesn't know what to do around pretty girls."

Leo opens his mouth to complain, but his best friend and Piper are already cracking up. He shakes his head and continues. "Whatever. Thanks Pipes."

Piper grins at him, all pretty and terrifying. "No problem."

He is so screwed, isn't he.
