AN: Alright guys, I'm back and finally working on this! I don't know how you all still feel about the whole Chelsea thing but just give me a chance and you'll all see why I had to make a decision such as this.
Also one last thing, for the sake of time, I'm going to minimize the number of Riders to just Ghost. As tempted as I am to do Ex-Aid, there's already too many Riders, both good and Dark Riders in this story just when it started out.
Anyways, enough said, it's Showtime!

Chapter 11: The Fourth Stop, Ghost
A dark hooded figure was on the roof of a tower that overlooking this place known as the Capital City. Soon, a Gray Mirror appeared behind him before vanishing, revealing a hooded Dark Decade and armored Shadow Moon.
"Dark Decade, I take it that you're here because your counterpart is."
"That's right, Argos." Dark Decade said while dark hooded figure took off her hood, revealing a young man with blonde hair.
"Shall I kill him?" Argos asked while Dark Decade shook his head.
"No, you may kill his companions but not him. I still have a use for him." Dark Decade explained and Argos looked curious.
"Is that so? Care to explain why?" Argos asked.
"Let's just say…it's personal." Dark Decade replied before Shadow Moon approached him.
"My lord, I suggest that we move now." Shadow Moon said. "We do have other appointments to deal with."
"Right, before I go Argos, I still have to ask. How are you dealing with this world's Rider?" Dark Decade asked, now wanting a status report.
"The assassins that he's holed up with have moved to a new hiding location. It's going to take a while, I've already sent my Necrom force to investigate the old location for clues."
"I see. Very well, keep me informed." Dark Decade said as he and Shadow moon left by using a Gray Mirror that the former just summoned.
Argos stayed quiet as he just looked at the city.
(Play Journey Through the Decade by Gackt)
Kamen Rider Decade. He has been given the power of a destroyer to destroy one.} As the song starts the scene focuses on Decade, who just transformed, standing in a white room filled with filming clips.
{Miageru hoshi sorezore no rekishi ga kagayaite} Fu covers Nihlus's eyes until she lets go. His eye is zoomed in and is soon replaced with the camera, his camera, and later his upgraded Decadriver which includes all 15 Heisei Riders including himself. His Machine Decader is shown parked in front of a pile of smoking rubble. In the white room Nihlus grabs one of the cubes and faces the camera.
{Seiza no you sen de musubu shunkan hajimaru Legend} The scene changes to a worn down warehouse with all Riders sitting but one at a time. Fu grabs a bottle and looks at it. Nihlus looks back. Meanwhile Chelsea watches Nihlus from a window with a tear rolling down. Yugi slumps his back against his TryChaser 2000 as the silhouettes of the other Riders appeared one by one. Fu throws the bottle down on the floor.
{Oorora (aurora) yurameku jikuu koete. Tobikomu meisou suru Parallel world}On one side the Dark Riders charge while on the other the Riders of Good did the same. When the bottle shatters, Nihlus looks as though he was about to collapse but not before his face changing into each of the Riders' helmets. Back at the warehouse all 15 riders were lined up doing their signature poses and with Decade in the center but behind him was Fu.
{On the road dare mo tabi no tochuu. Hontou no jibun jishin deau tame.} All 15 Riders were in a circle and were fending off the Dark Riders as they were being surrounded by them. Nihlus is then shown on his bike getting his helmet on and Chelsea was riding passenger while Yugi had Fu. Chelsea grabs onto him tightly. Next, Decade shows off his fighting skills especially with the Attack Ride: Slash card. Soon back to the Riders, everyone was doing their best trying to watch each other's back while against the Dark Riders.
{Atarashii yoake e to tsuzuku michi ni kawaru no darou.} Nihlus sits alone exhausted and with tears rolling down his face until Chelsea was in front of him with his camera in one hand and offering the other to help him up. We soon see Yugi riding with Nihlus and Fu on their respective bikes. Back on the battle, Blade was having trouble with Glaive until Decade shows up and pushed Glaive away. Ryuga was about to use his Strike Vent on Decade until Ryuki used his first which saved Decade.
{Mokugekise yo Journey through the Decade.} The Riders were helping each other trying to take down their respective foe. Soon Chelsea is seen with a smile in Decade's mind. But Decade focuses on the battle and helping his comrades. Decade was soon on his bike driving out of a Gray Mirror with pictures of the other 16 Riders in it and they circled the logo.
(With Nihlus and the others)
"What world is that?" Yugi wondered as Nihlus was curious as well. Nihlus doesn't recognize the figure but he does recognize that flag on the background.
It was from the series Akame ga Kill and back in his world, it was just a manga and anime. For him, when the invasion started in his world, the anime just finished and the manga was ongoing at least for him. And while he never did complete the manga series, he knew enough from both sources that this was going to be a bloody world. There were plenty of characters that he enjoyed that only ended up biting the dust or in the anime at least. He hopes that things would work out better in this Riderverse than in both continuities.
Wanting to know his role in this world, Nihlus stepped outside to find that his clothes changed once again. The world-travelling Rider found himself wearing a pair of dark jeans, black combat boots, gray shirt, and a black hooded coat. Nihlus them looked around to find himself with in a city that he recognizes as Capital City from the manga.
The others came out and looked around the city in awe while Nihlus was looking through his pockets, searching for any hints that can tell him what his role is in this newfound world. He then felt something and pulled it out, revealing to be a folded paper. He unfolded it into a letter and started reading off it.
"Head into the bookstore and meet with a guy who has green hair and goggles. Tell him that you're looking for a copy of The Hawk's Nest. He'll be expecting you and will take care of the rest. We look forward to hearing from your good work with Night Raid." The letter instructed him before Nihlus sees that the letter was signed from Revolutionary Army command while the others looking over his shoulder to read the letter as well.
"So what letter is that and which world are we in?" Fuu asked and Nihlus looked at them before giving them the letter to read.
"I think I have an idea but first I'm going to follow the instructions on this letter. This should be the first step in trying to find the Rider of this world." Nihlus said as Fuu and Yugi finished reading the letter.
"Sounds ominous. But what bookstore is the letter referring to? There could be plenty throughout the city." Yugi pointed out as he did have a point. Capital City wasn't known for being small and since this was the seat of an empire, it has a standard to live up to.
"I guess we start looking around." Nihlus proposed before looking at Mr. Hitachi. "Mr. Hitachi-."
"I know, keep watch of the studio. I know the drill by now." Mr. Hitachi said but Nihlus shook his head.
"I was going to say to be on the lookout." Nihlus said, much to everyone's surprise. "Let's just say I have a bad feeling about this place. There could be suspicious people here, I mean." He clarified.
Despite the initial surprise, Mr. Hitachi nodded before the trio went off in search of the bookstore. The trio walked for a while still searching but were also taking in the sights. To Fuu and Yugi, it was just like the latter and W's worlds but a little less modern in comparison while Nihlus was still wondering how far in the series is in or what kind of Rider resides in this world. The only one he knows about in terms of the latest Kamen Rider is Gaim but it was obvious that there was going to be more Riders past him. Nihlus was a bit excited since this could be a Rider that he never seen before.
Soon the trio found a bookstore and saw a guy with green hair and goggles managing the place as the letter described.
"Must be the place." Nihlus remarked before he and the others entered inside.
As they walked through the doors, the green-haired guy noticed them.
"Welcome, let me know if there's anything you three like." The young man said in a polite tone while Nihlus approached him.
"Yes, I'm looking for a specific book." Nihlus said, making the green-haired guy nod in understanding.
"Of course, anything in particular?"
"The title is The Hawk's nest." Nihlus revealed and the clerk had a serious face.
"I see…" The clerk said before looking at Yugi and Fuu who were eyeing around the store. "And these guys are with you? You trust them?"
"With my life." Nihlus explained and the guy nodded in understanding as a response.
"Alright, in that case, you three can come into the back with me. We might have your book in storage." The guy said and Nihlus as the clerk went into the back while Nihlus signaled his friends to go into the back with him before doing so, finding themselves in a lounge-like room. "I've received word that I was to be expecting one recruit, not three." The guy said, looking at Yugi and Fuu.
"I…bumped into them on the road. They can be trusted, I'd stake my life on them." Nihlus said, vouching for them.
"What is this about?" Yugi asked, wondering what's going on.
"You mean they don't know?" The clerk asked Nihlus as the two then looked at him in confusion.
"No, but Revolutionary Army command barely tells me anything. Only that your group will love my work." Nihlus pointed out, making the guy laugh a bit.
"Yeah, the higher up guys usually forget to tell the important stuff. Can't really blame them, we're on a tight schedule." The guy said as he relaxed a bit. "Okay, let's start off with introductions properly. My name is Lubbock and you guys are?"
"My name is Nihlus. Nihlus Kryis."
"Yugi Muto."
"Fuu."
"Alright and the reason that Nihlus is here is because he's been assigned by the Revolutionary Army to join my group known as Night Raid." Lubbock explained.
"And what is Night Raid?"
"We're basically assassins."
"Assassins!?" Both Yugi and Fuu were obviously surprised at this and realized that if this is their one lead to the Rider here then does mean he is an assassin too?
"Correct, but our goals are noble." Lubbock explained. "Our goal is to aid the Revolutionary Army overthrow the corrupt Empire and our role in doing so would be assassinating the powerful higher-ups of the government. We do accept contracts too in order to maintain our cover but those usually depend on what they are and who they're from." He clarified, making the two feel a bit better about this. At least the Rider here would have a good reason for being a member of Night Raid if that was the case.
"So how has Night Raid been doing?" Nihlus asked, wanting to know if anything here is different compare to the AKG world that he's familiar with.
"We're getting by. Although I admit, I was surprised to hear that we're not just getting one but three potential recruits."
"Why? I thought things were doing well for you." Yugi pointed out.
"It's a mix really. Plus we've just had two more recruits the past couple of days." Lubbock explained and that gave Nihlus the idea of when he is. Chelsea and Susanoo have just joined up with Night Raid after Sheele and Bulat's deaths.
"Really?" Fuu asked.
"Yeah after some casualties. One major and one not so major…"
'That's most likely the Rider's doing…' Nihlus thought because those two deaths would been considered major according to Lubbock.
"What do you mean?" Yugi asked, obviously having no clue what he meant.
"You'll see soon enough." Lubbock responded.
"So does that mean we're in Night Raid?" Fuu asked.
"Nihlus is. I don't know about you two and that's not up to me to decide. That's the Boss's call. She's in Night Raid HQ, I can take you all there but I have to ask you two to stay there until the Boss makes her decision. Is that clear?" Lubbock said and the trio looked at each other before Nihlus looked at Lubbock.
"Give us a couple minutes."
Lubbock nodded at that as the three then huddled up.
"What do you guys think?" Nihlus asked quietly.
"I don't know how I'll feel about working with assassins." Yugi pointed out as his track record consisted of him working with the authorities, not against them. Plus if he's an assassin, that'll mean hurting people, not monsters but Lubbock did tell him that the government here was corrupt and this group was the one lead to the Rider of this world.
"I can understand the feeling of being put under tyranny." Fuu said, remembering what harsh reality society can be since she herself experienced prejudice in her world with no one there to help. "I say we give this a shot and see where this goes."
Nihlus nodded and took the two's opinions highly. Sure, joining up means being an assassin that kills human beings while being hunted down by the Empire's best but that means finding the Rider of this world and making some new friends.
"Alright, we're going for it. Good for you guys?" Nihlus asked.
"I'm fine with it. Yugi?" Fuu asked.
Yugi thought about before realizing that helping take down a corrupt Empire, he'll be able to protect more smiles this way but this doesn't mean that he's easy about killing.
"Alright, I'm in. Just tell me that they deserve it." Yugi said before Nihlus nodded.
They broke up their huddle and looked at Lubbock.
"Alright Lubbock, we're in. All three of us." Nihlus answered and Lubbock smiled at that.
"Great but these two will have to be judged by Boss, but at least it's good to know they'll join our cause. Just hope they're worth it."
"Believe me, they are." Nihlus said, having faith in his friends.
(With Argos)
Argos arrived at the location that used to be Night Raid base but was now abandoned. He then noticed three more people wearing the same dark-hooded robes as he did. The three bowed before him but Argos waved it off.
"Enough formalities. Are there any hints to where Ghost might've gone to?" Argos asked.
The three-hooded people took off their hoods. One was a male with hair slicked back and dark eyeliner around his right eye. His name was Jered.
Another was also male but had blue hair swept to the right. His name was Jebil.
The last person was female with the top of her hair tied in cornrows. Her name was Jey.
"Unfortunately, we have not been to locate any leads as to where he and his group might've gone to." Jebil reported, much to Argos's displeasure.
"Damn, anything interesting here though?" Argos asked, not wanting this trip to be a waste of time.
Jey nodded as she pulled out a couple of files from her robe.
"It looks like there's some medical files that they've left behind. Thought you should have the first look, my lord." Jey reported as she handed the medical files to Argos.
Argos inspected them before taking a good look inside one. He sees one file with the name Takeru Tanaka. Obviously, this caught Argos's curiosity and started reading it thoroughly but he was interrupted by…
"Oi, who are you four and what are you doing here!?"
Argos closed the file and the four saw a bunch Ganma Commandoes being led by a couple of Ganma Superiors.
"Looks like we're going to stretch our legs today!" Jered said with a smile as he was ready for a fight.
Argos got in front of his group before summoning an orange belt with a gray device on it as the centerpiece. The device had an oval shape with an eye and a barely seeable smile plastered on it. Next to that was a handle to push and pull. This is the Ghost Driver.
"Forgive me, but I prefer not to have any witnesses here." Argos said as he pulled out a mechanical eyeball with a black frame and in the part where the iris was located like a picture of a white demonic face. He then pressed the button on the side, turning the face into a black and blue background with the letters "DG" in the center in bold white.
The Ganma were surprised at this.
"Henshin…" Argos said as he opened the Driver and placed the eye known as an Eyecon in the slot before closing the belt.
"EYE!"
"BACCHIRI MINNA! BACCHIRI MINNA! BACCHIRI MINNA!" The belt looped that tune over and over again.
The Ghost Driver flashed and soon a black coat-like creature emerged from the belt. It had silver edges and a hood which was up with glowing red eyes, including a horn coming from the dark folds. Acting as arms were short belts which hovered around. This is the Dark Parka Ghost.
Argos pulled and pushed the lever, turning the eye closed to open, revealing the demonic face again.
"KAIGAN: DARK RIDER!"
"YAMI NO CHIKARA! WARUI YATSURA!"
White motes of light gathered around Argos with white lines of energy forming on his body. He was soon in black armor with lines decorating it and a red eye adorning the chest.
Meanwhile the Dark Parka Ghost merged with him as the hood settled over his head and the coat's arms clipped to his shoulders as it settled into place. A new faceplate suddenly flipped up, showing a glowing silver expanse with two black demonic eyes with a horn coming from the entre of his forehead. This is Kamen Rider Dark Ghost.
"Ghost!?" One of the Ganma Superiors recognized.
Dark Ghost chuckled at this.
"You wish." Dark Ghost said as he looked at his three lackeys. "Let's go, guys."
"Right." The three said as they placed on dark wrist-like devices before pulling out dark cubes with colored circles and buttons on them. Red for Jered, blue for Jebil, and yellow for Jey.
They soon pressed the buttons on the side of the cubes before their respective colors light up.
"STANDBY!"
They then placed them in their wrist-mounted devices.
"LOADING: NECROM!"
"Henshin!"
The three pressed the buttons on the devices before they flash and emerged more Parka Ghosts emerged bit with each red blue, and yellow that had glowing red eyes and a horn coming from the dark folds. All three merged with motes of light before ending up in dark suits like Dark Ghost's but they had no white lines and their blank faceplates had a cyclops-like eye in the center.
Soon their Parka Ghosts merged with them in the same manner that Dark Ghost and his Parka Ghost did but when their faceplates popped up, it was still a cyclops-styled eyes with horns that matched the colors of the three people.
Jered is now Kamen Rider Dark Necrom R, Jebil is now Kamen Rider Dark Necrom B, and Jey is Kamen Rider Dark Necrom Y. Together, these three are the Necrom Force, Dark Ghost's elite guard.
Dark Ghost then used his Ghost Driver to summon a weapon known as the Gan Gun Saber. He held the blade before resting it on his shoulder and then using his other hand to pull down his hood.
"So, we're going all out?" Dark Necrom R asked in an excited voice as he cracked his knuckles.
"Yeah, don't be afraid to dig in." Dark Ghost said, making Dark Necrom R to chuckle in glee.
"Yes, I was hoping for a bit of action!" Dark Necrom R remarked while Dark Necrom B just chuckled as he too was blood thirsty.
"It's been too long since I've been in a fight…" Dark Necrom Y remarked as she cracked her knuckled while Dark Ghost just charged.
He easily slashed through a few of the Commandoes before attacking the two Superiors, allowing his three bodyguards to focus on the grunts of the force. Dark Ghost one of the Superiors in the abdomen, making him stumble before the other Superior tried grabbed Dark Ghost from behind. However, that plan failed when Dark Ghost immediately held his sword in a reverse grip and used it to stab the Superior in the abdomen.
"Die…" Dark Ghost said as he removed his sword before holding back the way he usually did and looking at the wounded Superior…before decapitating him and making his body dissipate.
The Superior's disembodied head rolled to his companion's feet before dissipating into a circular Eyecon that was then crushed by Dark Ghost's feet. Obviously, the Superior tried to best Dark Ghost as best as he can but the Dark Rider was easily dodging the attack without much effort.
Meanwhile the Dark Necrom Force was just finishing the last of the Commandoes before noticing Dark Ghost practically slowly killing the Superior.
"Should we help?" Dark Necrom B asked.
"We shouldn't, you know how greedy he can be." The female Necrom replied while Necrom R just growled as his bloodlust wasn't satisfied today.
Soon Dark Ghost kicked the Superior away before he landed on the ground.
"This is the end of you…" Dark Ghost said as he grabbed the lever of his belt and pulled it, making the eye close. "Nothing personal…"
He then pushed it, opening the eye before it lit up.
"DAI KAIGAN! ORE: OMEGA DRIVE!"
A huge white eye appeared behind Dark Ghost as his right foot was charging with energy. Dark Ghost then leapt up in the air with the white eye following him. The Dark Rider got into a flying side kick position before diving down at the Superior. As he flew, the white eye went past the Rider and entered his kicking food.
"N-No!" The remaining Superior said before trying to get away but it was too late as the Rider's foot made contact with the Superior's chest, creating a big explosion. When the explosion faded, Dark Ghost was only one intact with the Superior's Eyecon in his hand. "This Empire truly is weak and meaningless…"
He then crushed the Eyecon and dropped the remains like dust. Dark Ghost then opened his Driver and took out his Eyecon before closing, turning back into Argos.
"OYASUMI!"
Argos took out the file from his coat and looked at his Necrom force.
"Come on, we paying a special visit to some people." Argos said, making the three nod while Necrom R just added a laugh as he might have more blood to satisfy his need.
Meanwhile, someone was watching them from afar. He had black pants, boots, and wore a blue and black jacket. The young man didn't say anything but just observed everything before seeing the Dark Riders leave before leaving himself.
(With Nihlus and the others)
Lubbock led the group of world travelers to Night Raid's second base which looked really similar to Night Raid's original base, a fortress built into a cliff.
"So, this is you place?" Fuu asked as she and Yugi were surprised by it.
"Yup, real secretive like too. We had another one like this but we had to…abandon it." Lubbock explained as he and the others entered.
The others looked around and so far, to their surprise, they haven't seen anyone else.
"Where is everyone?" Nihlus asked.
"They're off doing their own thing, either hunting, resupplying, etc." Lubbock explained as Nihlus noticed open room and it looked like a doctor's office. He sees someone with dark brown hair and a doctor's white coat.
'That must be the Rider…' Nihlus thought before noticing him talking with a female.
She had pale skin, auburn hair, and red eyes. She wore a butterfly headphone accessory on her head while wearing a vocalist-like outfit which consisted of a white long sleeve shirt with the collar tied with a red ribbon under a black vest, a red checkered mini skirt, and black leather below-the-knee boots. She also had a lollipop in her mouth. Nihlus seemed to recognize her.
'This must've been Chelsea…' Nihlus recognized. Chelsea was an assassin and one of the reinforcements sent after Bulat and Sheele's deaths. She had the ability to shapeshift thanks to her Teigu, or weapon, known as Gaea Foundation. Unfortunately, she was later killed in an assassination attempt and after that, her decapitated head was on display.
Nihlus gripped his fist as the image of that was visible in his head. He wondered if he can stop her death and that dark aftermath like Fuu because despite her initial appearance where she seemed cold, she's actually a nice person who doesn't want to lose anyone close like her old team. She also had a nice playful yet mischievous personality that anyone can learn to love.
It took Nihlus a few moments to realize that he couldn't stop staring at Chelsea's conversation with the medic. Nor did he care what they were talking about, he didn't know why but it's just something different seeing Chelsea in person than any form of media. The next few moments were like this before…
"Nihlus, you coming or what!?" Nihlus looked further down the hall to see Lubbock and the others waving at him, snapping him from his thoughts.
"U-Uh…" Nihlus then noticed Chelsea and the Rider staring at him. He sweated a little from the pressure before looking at Lubbock and his friends. "C-Coming!" Nihlus then ran down the hall as fast as he can as the two Night Raid members watched him go.
"Wow, what a weirdo…" Chelsea remarked while Nihlus met up with the guys.
"S-So who was that?" Nihlus asked, trying to change subject.
"That's our medic Takeru Tanaka and Chelsea, both of whom are assassins as well." Lubbock revealed.
"Your medic is also an assassin?" Yugi asked, a bit surprised.
"We all have our personal stake in it." Lubbock explained with a serious tone.
"Even you?" Fuu asked.
"You can say that." Lubbock said in a blank tone but Nihlus knew that Lubbock joined Night Raid out of love for its leader. Speaking of which, Lubbock stopped the trio in front of a room with a closed door. He then knocked on the door.
"Who is it?" A female voice asked and Lubbock just smiled.
"I got our new recruit…or should I say 'recruits'?" Lubbock asked and after a short period of silence, the female voice spoke up again.
"Send them in." The female voice said and Lubbock nodded before letting the trio in but Nihlus noticed Lubbock not following.
"You're not coming?"
"Sorry, but I have to take care of some things…" Lubbock said with an inward smirk as he was heading to the bath and hope one of his female comrades was there.
Upon entering they see a room that closely resembles an office. They looked to see a person sitting behind the desk.
They see a woman with short silver hair and purple eyes. She was wearing an eyepatch where her right eye used to be and a black suit that partially showed her cleavage. And to Fuu and Yugi's surprise, she had a mechanical green arm. Nihlus recognized her as Najenda, leader of Night Raid and general of the Revolutionary Army.
"Nihlus, my name is Najenda and I'm the boss of Night Raid." Najenda said before looking at Fuu and Yugi. "I'd shake your hand but I'm a bit surprised." She explained. "You see, the message said I was supposed to be expecting ONE recruit, not three."
"Aren't you being a bit paranoid?" Fuu asked.
"Maybe, but given current events to our organization, a little bit of paranoia maybe what's needed around here." Najenda said, slightly surprising Fuu and Yugi.
"Why? What's happened around here?" Yugi asked.
"Not sure how much you three know but this isn't our original base, we were discovered by our enemies there and had to flee. And before that, we suffered two casualties on the team. One is still in intensive care and being taken care of by one of our latest recruits. The other casualty is…" Najenda trailed off in a sad tone and the three knew what that meant.
"Oh…sorry to hear that." Yugi said as he remembered when he lost a couple of his friends and Tea to a coma.
Najenda sighed.
"Don't be. In our line of work, it'd be a miracle if all of us survive this without a scratch." Najenda said. "Anyways, onto business…so I assume you're the recruit I've been told about?" Najenda asked, looking at Nihlus.
"That's right." Nihlus said as he stepped up.
"Nihlus, right?"
Nihlus nodded in confirmation while Najenda looked at Yugi and Fuu.
"And who are these two? You must trust them a lot if you brought them all the way out here. Especially out here." Najenda added and Nihlus nodded again at that statement.
"You can say that we've been through a lot on the way here." Nihlus said as Najenda examined the other Rider and Ninja.
"I'd take your word for it and how is their combat skills?" Najenda asked.
"Yugi knows his way around a fight and Fuu is a skilled ninja with a good amount of power." Nihlus explained while Najenda looked at the two.
"While I'm not opposed to potential aid to our cause, I won't feel right forcing two others for a war they don't want any part of. So, Yugi, Fuu, will you join Night Raid and become assassins like your friend and the rest of us here?" Najenda asked.
Yugi and Fuu looked at each other and Nihlus before thinking about this. Fuu was no stranger to killing especially in her world, plus she promised herself that she'd stick with Nihlus no matter what.
"I'm in." Fuu answered with a firm tone in her voice, directing Najenda's attention solely on Yugi.
"Before I give my answer, let me ask this; is the Empire really as bad as you said it is?" Yugi asked.
Najenda adopted a serious face as she nodded.
"Yeah, that's right. The Empire's government is as bad as it sounds. Corrupt politicians, soldiers, and even the aristocracy abuse their power on the citizens and neighboring places of civilization." Najenda explained. "I don't wanna go into detail but trust me when I say that some of these people are sick. Real sick."
"If what you say is true and the Empire is truly as sick as you say it is…I'd consider joining you." Yugi said, making Najenda smirk.
"You won't regret this decision. I'll show you around. Nihlus, for you, I want you to pay a quick visit to our medic. He'll give you a standard physical. After that, I want you to report back here. I have an assignment for you." She explained, making the world traveler nod his head in understanding.
"I've seen it on our way here. I'll go now." Nihlus said before he started walking off. As he was walking down the hall, he noticed Chelsea not too far from him and walking in the opposite direction. The two crossed paths before Nihlus stopped and looked back to see Chelsea still walking, not even acknowledging him.
As she was walking, Nihlus was questioning if he can. She only got killed because she thought she'd be able to assassinate Kurome who proved to be very…resistant and ended up killing her back. He could be able to get her out of there in time if he uses Kabuto's power but that'll require…
"Can I help you?"
Nihlus was snapped out of his thoughts to see Chelsea staring at him with a slightly confused face.
"Uh..it's nothing." Nihlus said before resuming his walk to the medical room.
"Yup, still a weirdo." Chelsea remarked before resuming her original path.
Nihlus soon found the medical room and went inside, seeing it resemble a typical doctor office. He noticed the guy in a white coat checking over papers.
"Excuse me." Nihlus said, getting the guy's attention. "I've been told to get a physical."
"Oh right, you must be the new recruit I've been told about. My name is Takeru Tanaka." Takeru said as he stuck his arm out.
"I'm…Nihlus Kryis." Nihlus said as he shook the arm.
"Oh wait, now I remember. You're the one who gawked at Chelsea a little while ago." Takeru remembered, making Nihlus nervously chuckled at that.
"Y-Yeah, that's me." Nihlus said before remembering that he had to act dumb. "So that girl's name is Chelsea?"
Takeru nodded.
"Yeah, if she teases you or acts a little cold towards you, don't blame her. She means well, she's just been through a lot." Takeru explained.
"Why's that?"
"Her previous team was killed while she on a mission. She's the only survivor." Takeru explained, making Nihlus feel sad and sorry for her.
"I see…" Nihlus said, resolved to make sure she doesn't meet that fate.
"Anyways, we're not here about that. We're here for you examination." Takeru explained as he took out a blank file. He written down Nihlus's name and spent the next few minutes getting information from Nihlus, such as age, weight, etc. He even had Nihlus strip to write down further notes…much to Nihlus's displeasure.
Takeru was taking Nihlus's pulse and wrote down the results.
"So Takeru, tell me about yourself." Nihlus said as Takeru placed the file away. "I mean, you obviously know a lot about me at this point but I'm still new. If we're going to fight together, I want to know who I'm fighting with."
"Fair enough." Takeru said as he relaxed in his chair. "Not much to say about me really, I came from a small village, my father wanted me to become a ghost hunter. For obvious reasons, I disagreed and pursed a career in the medical field."
"Was he disappointed?"
"He wouldn't admit it but he was a little. But he was still very supportive of me, until the day he…" Takeru trailed off with a sad expression, giving Nihlus a good idea of what he's implying.
"Oh, I'm so sorry to hear that."
"Don't be. It's been years." Takeru assured. "Anyways, I've continued being my village's doctor before I…died."
Nihlus caught offguard by that.
"Died?"
"Dead, killed, no longer among the living, passed away." Takeru confirmed. "I can't exactly explain it but…" He then showed his bare chest, revealing a huge scar where his heart was on his chest. "My heart is no longer in me. I'm dead and I exist as a ghost."
"If you're dead, how can you fight then?"
"Don't underestimate the dead." Takeru advised as he took out an Eyecon. "It's a long story but…basically among being dead, I've acquired a power. It's not that of a Teigu, it's…different. You'll see it soon enough if we're going to fight the Empire together."
Nihlus nodded as this confirmed that Takeru was the Rider that he was looking for.
"And how did you get into Night Raid?"
"That's also a long story; short version is that I made a deal with them." Takeru explained and Nihlus was about to inquire more but…
"Excuse me, but is this a bad time?" A female voice asked and the two guys turned to see a young lady with purple hair and glasses. She was wearing a sleeveless lilac cheongsam with detached lilac arm sleeves and white boots. She was also bandaged up and in a wheelchair.
Nihlus's eyes widened as he recognized her as Sheele and how she was Night Raid's first casualty in the AKG franchise.
"No, not at all. How is my favorite patient doing? You've been taking the medication I've been recommending?" Takeru asked as he walked up to her and kneeled down to meet her face.
Sheele nodded.
"Su-chan often reminds me or gives it to me himself." She said, making Takeru chuckle and look at the big guy pushing her wheelchair. He was a tall man who looked like he was in late-20's with distinctive bull-like horn coming out of the sides of his head. He was also wearing a white robe.
Nihlus recognized him as the humanoid Teigu, Susanoo.
"Oh has he?" Takeru asked, looking at the big guy.
"It is nothing." He simply states before the two noticed Nihlus. "Who's this?"
"I'm Nihlus. I'm a new recruit here at Night Raid along with two others."
"Three new comrades? I wasn't aware of this." Susanoo stated while Sheele looked equally surprised.
"Just came in." Takeru explained before looking at Nihlus. "Sorry but I really want to do my daily checkup on Sheele. She's been through a lot."
"Yeah, sure. Najenda wanted to see me anyways." He explained as he left the room but not without taking on last look at the two. "It's been nice meeting you guys."
"Same/Likewise." Both Sheele and Susanoo said respectively before Nihlus left as he was slightly happy that Sheele is alive which meant some things have changed in main story. He didn't see Bulat but that could be because he just arrived. He then remembered that Lubbock said they were down a man so it's most likely Bulat was the one that died. Tatsumi then still probably has Incursio which he inherited from Bulat.
He went back to the office to find Najenda and Chelsea, not Yugi and Fuu.
"Where are the others?" Nihlus wondered.
"Lubbock is showing them around. I would've had them wait for you but we're going to need you for a mission. We're a bit underhanded with one of ours missing and two on a separate mission."
Nihlus nodded as he probably thought it was Tatsumi who went missing if Chelsea and Susanoo just got here. And the two that were probably one a mission was either Akame, Leone, or Mine.
"Anyways Nihlus, this is Chelsea. And Chelsea, this is Nihlus-."
"No need to introduce us. The Weirdo and I met already."
"Weirdo!?" Nihlus exclaimed, surprised by the nickname.
"Hey, you're the one that gawked at me twice. Don't get me wrong, I know I have a great figure and look but you look like you've seen a ghost." She said, making Nihlus nervously chuckle at that while Najenda wanted to focus on the task at hand.
"Enough you two, where's Takeru?"
"He's checking up on Sheele." Nihlus explained, making Najenda nod in understanding.
"Alright, we'll wait. For now, I suggest you two get along since you'll be partnered up."
Chelsea and Nihlus looked surprised, mostly Chelsea though.
"Hey, hold up! You know I work better by myself!" Chelsea protested while Najenda had a stern look.
"We're under-staffed and you're in no position to make demands. We can't afford to lose anyone now. Like it or not, Nihlus is going to be your partner and that is final."
The auburn-haired girl looked like she was going to say something but stopped herself when she realizes that arguing against this is only going to get her the same response. She then looked at Nihlus.
"Can you handle yourself in a fight?" She asked.
"I know my way around." He replied.
"Uh-huh." She said before shrugging. "Just don't slow me down."
"Don't worry about that." He said, not wanting to let her down before Takeru came in without his white coat, now adorning a gray high-collar jacket, a pair of dark gloves, black boots, and dark pants.
"Sorry about the wait, did I miss anything?" Takeru asked.
"No, we're about to begin." Najenda explained before finally getting into business. "Anyways, as you're familiar with Takeru, our previous base was attacked by Dr. Stylish and his experiments of Ganma-Danger Beast hybrids."
"I remember, the experiments were deadly and barbaric. We were lucky to even get out with our lives, let alone kill the damn things." Takeru reminisced, making Nihlus and Chelsea a bit curious. They then just allowed Najenda to continue.
"But what you didn't know is that some of the experiments escaped and were captured by a noble who aims to have them further weaponized and under his control. He also managed to get a copy of the mad doctor's notes. Where and how he got them is currently unknown. Anyways, your job is to destroy those hybrids, kill the noble who aims to weaponized them, and destroy the research notes. We cannot allow something like this to occur again. Any questions?"
"Why do we have to destroy the notes? Wouldn't it make more sense to keep them?" Nihlus asked. As he had no idea what a Ganma was, he did know about the Danger Beasts and he can imagine them being real useful in a fight.
"Trust me, there's no one that would need that kind of power. Even if that were the case, the price is too high." Takeru said, making Nihlus nod in understanding as he does remember that power isn't always a good thing.
"Where we'll be going?" Chelsea asked, allowing Najenda to bring out a small map. She then pointed at a location.
"Right here, a small village with the noble as its lord. Based on our reports, villagers have been starting to disappear. Most assume they were attacked and killed by surrounding wildlife." Najenda reported while Takeru had a darkened expression.
"Or used as test subjects." Takeru added with a grim and serious voice. "When do we leave?"
"Immediately, after this." Najenda replied before looking at the rest. "Any more questions before you three leave?"
"Yes, what's going to happen to Yugi and Fuu here?"
"Me and Lubbock will show them the ropes and introduce the others as well. Sorry that we can't do that to you, but we're a bit understaffed at the moment." Najenda explained.
"How so?"
"I'm sure you saw Sheele's crippled state and another one of ours went missing a while ago. I do hope he's alright."
"Tatsumi will be fine, ma'm." Takeru assured with a confident smile. "We both know he's too stubborn to die."
Najenda chuckled.
"Yes, it would appear so. Anyways, if nothing else, you three should get prepared to leave." Najenda instructed, making the three nod in understanding. "One last thing, given Takeru's experience in Ganma, he'll be the one leading the mission."
"I won't let you down." Takeru said with confidence.
"Alright, dismissed then." Najenda ordered and the three nodded before leaving.
Nihlus then stopped himself in the hallway as he watched Takeru and Chelsea go into their rooms to make their preparations. The thought soon hits Nihlus as he realized that he's been given a mission to kill a human being. He's been used to killing literal monsters but never a human being. The only solace he can find in this situation is that this man was probably a monster himself, given how the AKG universe can operate.
He only hopes that things will work out for him and the others in this world…especially since the usual lifespan for a main character of AKG. Nihlus, wanting to put these thoughts to rest, decided to just wait outside for the others.
(Later at night)
The three appeared in the village with all three assassins sitting on a rooftop, overlooking a big estate. It appeared there were multiple guards overseeing the area, taking patrols in different parts of the mansion. There was also a big gate in front of the mansion which was heavily locked.
"This doesn't look too hard." Chelsea remarked with a smirk on her face as she finished her lollipop and tossed the stick away. She then got up, holding a cosmetic case. "I'll get the doors open. When I do, you better get in quick because I'm going to close it." Chelsea explained, making Takeru nod in understanding while Nihlus seemed a bit confused.
"Makes sense, we can't raise suspicion." Takeru explained and Nihlus understood that. "I can go in undetected like you, Chelsea but…I can't throw suspicion off me as fast as you can if you catch my drift."
"I've seen…luckily, you weren't the one at the springs." Chelsea warned while Nihlus slightly blushed as he remembered that scene back in his world. "Anyways, just try not to get in the way and we'll be back in home in time for supper."
She then jumped off the roof and turned into a crow before flying to the estate while the two guys remained on watch.
"She sure seems full of herself." Nihlus remarked, making Takeru slightly chuckle.
"I don't blame her. We were told that Chelsea's level of skill is the equivalent to Akame's, one of our deadlier assassins. So that alone can merit some bragging rights." Takeru explained, making Nihlus nodded as he remembered that was one of the things that would lead to her destined fate. He had to remember to keep a close eye on that.
"So who is Akame?"
"Well she is an assassin with a high body count. But unlike Chelsea, Akame takes a more…'direct' approach with a blade." Takeru explained.
"I didn't see her back at base." Nihlus pointed out.
"She and Leone were handling things in the outside when we first met. They're probably back by now, you can introduce yourself to them by that time." Takeru explained and Nihlus had a random but curious thought.
"Out of curiosity, how do you feel about Akame?' Nihlus asked, surprising Takeru with such a sudden question but he quickly regained his composure.
"I hardly see how's that any of your business…but I don't see the harm in answering it." Takeru replied before thinking of an answer. "Akame is a good person. Despite her skill, she is quite innocent and is emotionally scarred. I wish to ease her pain."
"Are you two…?"
"Me and Akame? The thought never occurred to me." Takeru admitted as he rubbed his chin. He looked to be thinking about it extensively but before he can add anything to his pervious statement, they see the gate slightly opened. "Alright, let's go. And…try to keep up."
Takeru then vanished, much to Nihlus's surprise. But he did his best to reach past the gate with none of the guards noticing anything. Soon the gates closed again and Nihlus was poked in the back to see…a guard.
"Takeru followed?"
"Chelsea?" Nihlus asked, remembering that her Teigu was Gaea Foundation which basically gave her the ability to shapeshift.
"Yeah, he explained to you what my Teigu is?" C-guard asked.
"Uh…something like that." Nihlus lied before C-guard took him to a discrete corner.
"So how is everything?" Takeru asked as he appeared, surprising Nihlus.
"Okay, how can you do that?" He asked, trying to keep the surprised tone in his voice low so no one else can hear him.
"Perks of being undead, or a ghost in this case." Takeru explained and he didn't need to explain the rest as ghosts being able to go invisible as well as being intangible was obvious based on fairy tales and such.
"So I'm the only one that's holding back the mission?" Nihlus asked since Chelsea was seasoned and a trained infiltrator while Takeru was a literal ghost that can get to his targets easily.
"Pretty much." C-guard bluntly said.
"Chelsea!" Takeru quietly scolded.
"Just saying…" C-guard defended before walking up to Nihlus and holding his arm.
"What are you…?"
"We can play this out easily. All I have to do is take you as my prisoner and report to the one in charge here while Takeru here does his ghost thing to watch out backs. We'll have the jump on them." C-guard explained. The two thought about it and it was a good plan, considering that Nihlus isn't that stealthy and that it'd be easy to find the noble since she'd had to report to him. Depending on where he is, the lab and experiments will be easy to find.
"Okay, I suppose we can do things your way." Nihlus said before C-guard got behind him and cuffed him, surprising the world-traveling Rider.
"Relax, these cuffs are loose. Even for a newbie like you, you can easily break free of them." C-guard remarked while Nihlus sighed, hoping things will work out in the end.
"I'll be close by. Just remember that the second things go wrong, then we'll improvise with plan B." Takeru instructed.
"Which is…?" C-guard asked.
"Improvise." Takeru said before looking to see if anyone is coming. "Someone is coming. We should get moving soon. I'll be close by." The undead medic said before vanishing.
Just then a guard noticed C-guard and Nihlus before approaching them.
"Why did the gate open? Who is this?" The guard asked.
"This little shit managed to get the gate open. I'm taking him to the lord around here." C-guard explained, making Nihlus grunt a little to make it look like he tried to resist to begin with. "Where might he be during this hour of night?"
"He's down in the lab, making the finishing touches." The guard reported before pointing towards the entrance of the place.
"Right." C-guard said before escorting into the estate with an invisible Takeru behind him. As they were looking around, they see that the estate was pretty much what Nihlus had expected; over-expensive stuff decorated with more over-expensive stuff which implied that the owner didn't give a damn about where it came from or how it was made.
They soon noticed more guards which implied that they were heading in the right direction. They soon noticed an entrance nearby guarded by two guards. C-guard managed to get past them and went down the stairs with the other two.
They were soon at the front of a door before C-guard knocked on it.
"Who is it?"
"Found an unwanted visitor snooping around here. What do you want me to do with him?" C-guard asked, before hearing a pattern of angry rambling and some messes going on in the room. "When he comes out, you take him out. Got it?"
Nihlus gulped as an answer as he was still unsure about killing people.
"Of all the things that I have to put up with-." The door soon opened, revealing the angry nobleman. "And who the hell are you?"
Nihlus gulped as he saw the number of men in front of him as they appeared behind the nobleman.
Takeru, invisible, was contemplating whether her was going to summon his sword or not to help him.
"Well?" The nobleman asked impatiently.
"L-Look, I can explain. I-I was at the wrong place and time here…" answered Nihlus in a sheepish tone which was not part of the plan.
"What are you doing? Kill him!" C-guard whispered to Nihlus's ear, a bit in disbelief over what he just said.
"I'm afraid for my life right now!"Nihlus whispered back as he was not used to being in an active hostile environment. Sure, there was the NERV base at W's world but at least he can ACTUALLY fake being an employee.
A small white and orange ghost with a huge eye known Yurusen appeared next to Takeru.
"That kid is gonna compromise our mission!" Yurusen said next to him, making Takeru a little tense. Having no other option, Takeru revealed himself before summoning his sword in gun mode. Before anyone can react, he immediately shot all the guards nearby in the head while C-guard pushed Nihlus aside and killed the noble with her needles.
"Well, I see you have everything covered now so…" Yurusen then vanished.
Takeru scanned the area to make sure everyone was dead while C-guard just looked pissed at a recovering Nihlus.
"You idiot…" C-guard remarked before transforming back into Chelsea. She looked irritated. Sure, she may have a nice playful teasing personality but she doesn't kid around when it comes to work for obvious reasons. "What the hell was that? What part of 'kill him' did you not understand?" She scolded her partner who was looking guilty.
"I, uh…" Nihlus trailed off, not knowing what to say. But by studying his demeanor, facial expression, and tone of voice, it was enough to determine that…
"Wait, have you ever killed anyone before?" Chelsea asked with disbelief in her voice.
"N…No. I've killed monsters, but not humans. It's not in my nature." Nihlus replied in a nervous tone as he now saw annoyance on Chelsea's face. It was understandable since she is a well-trained assassin who is now partnered with someone who is the personification of the word 'rookie' down to a tee.
"You're kidding, right?"
"…" Nihlus can do nothing but look down in shame. "Sorry." He replied as that's all he could think of saying.
Takeru, after checking bodies, looked a bit frustrated at the argument going on.
"Lock it down, both of you." Takeru said, trying to keep his voice quiet enough so no one can hear him. It's a wonder that no one even heard the gunshots but they were far underground. "You can argue another time. Our assignment isn't done yet."
Nihlus reluctantly agreed while Chelsea still seemed annoyed.
"Why did we even bring him with us?" Chelsea questioned as she wondered why Najenda would pair him with her if all he's going to do is slow her down.
"That was Boss's call, not ours. So at the very least, accept with what we got, especially since he's your partner." Takeru remarked.
Chelsea just gave up the argument at that point.
"Ugh, whatever, I still think this was a big mistake." Chelsea remarked, looking at the situation again.
"Just go find the documents here and burn them. Nihlus and I will look for the DB-Ganma hybrid."
Chelsea just nodded before she left while Takeru looked back at Nihlus who just had a look of shame and embarrassment on his face.
"Don't feel bad. She's like that with everyone but her intentions are pure." Takeru explained and Nihlus knew that. He immediately remembered everything about her and her team but he had to play the clueless one. Besides, he had a job to do here. He'll find a way to make it up to Chelsea later. "Just think of this as motivation to do well on a mission. You can always change her mind."
'I plan to change a lot more than that.' Nihlus thought. "We should get moving now."
Soon the two Riders went off while Chelsea found the documents and destroyed them by tossing them into a nearby fireplace. They went further around the area before noticing a human-sized tank. Upon looking into it, they saw a figure which made Takeru's eyes widened as he recognized the base figure.
It was as a black creature with red linings on its' face. It wore a white attire that made it look like a samurai, gold boots, and a white glove with guards on the forearms. Finally, its' right arm was also in the form of a big katana. This is the Katana Ganma.
But that was just the base form as Takeru remembered, the version mixed with Danger Beast looked way more terrifying. For starters, its sword was much larger looked more terrifying and bony while it resembles more like a like a cleaver with an organic makeup surrounding the blade. Its white attire was replaced with bone-like armor with bones wrapped around the abdomen area. The hand and feet were replaced with sharp boney claws. Lastly, the head resembled more of a shogun helmet with a mouth emerging from its broken mask, showing razor-sharp teeth.
"That's one big ugly son of a…" Nihlus started before Takeru summoned his sword.
"It's best we eliminate this thing now before-."
Just then the DB-Katana Ganma stirred before opening its blood-hungry eyes. It seemed to examine both Riders, but it seemed more focused on Takeru. It let out a muffled roar as it got its' weapon arm freed and frantically swung it before using it to cut open the tank, shattering the glass and spilling all the contents of the tank.
The two Night Raid assassins looked down to see the DB-Katana Ganma getting up from the ground before he started roaring and attacking. Takeru was grabbed by the collar and tossed to the side, landing on a table and breaking it upon contact.
Chelsea then appeared on the scene, drawing the DB-Katana Ganma's attention.
"Hey, I heard a noise. Is something up-?" Before she can even finish, the DB-Katana Ganma charged at her. She couldn't react fast enough but the good thing was that she didn't have to as Nihlus managed to push her out of the way and dodged the blade before being knocked aside.
"HEY!" Takeru called, getting the monster's attention before summoning his Ghost Driver around his waist before pulling out his own Eyecon which looked similar to Dark Ghost's but white demonic face was replaced with an orange friendlier-looking one. He pressed the button on it, revealing a "G" instead of "DG".
He opened his Driver and placed the Eyecon inside before closing it.
"EYE!"
"BACCHIRI MINNA! BACCHIRI MINNA! BACCHIRI MINNA!" The belt looped that tune over and over again.
The Ghost Driver flashed and soon a black coat-like creature emerged from the belt. It had orange edges instead of silver and a hood which was up with glowing orange eyes, including a horn coming from the dark folds. Acting as arms were short belts which hovered around. This is the Ore Parka Ghost.
Everyone started at Takeru as he did a pose that resembled a priest or exorcist.
"Henshin!"
He pulled and pushed the lever, closing and opening the eye of the Driver, revealing the image of the faceplate.
"KAIGAN: ORE!"
"LET'S GO! KAKUGO! G-G-G-GHOST! GO! GO! GO! GO!"
Orange motes of light gathered around Takeru with orange lines of energy forming on his body. He was soon in black armor with lines decorating it and a white eye adorning the chest.
Meanwhile the Ore Parka Ghost merged with him as the hood settled over his head and the coat's arms clipped to his shoulders as it settled into place. A new faceplate suddenly flipped up, showing an orange expanse with two black compound eyes with a horn coming from the entre of his forehead. This is Kamen Rider Ghost.
"Wow…" Nihlus said, seeing Ghost for the first time while Chelsea was slightly impressed due to her first time seeing the armor on a mission. While Ghost resummoned his sword, the DB-Katana Ganma roared before using its blade to launch energy slashes.
Ghost easily cut through them with his sword while Nihlus got up and placed on his Driver, catching Chelsea's curiosity. Before he can take his card out, the hybrid monster attempted to slash Nihlus, forcing him to dodge out of the way. Chelsea tried to fight too by striking it with her needles from behind but due to the monster's tough skin, the needle broke upon contact.
Obviously angry at the attempt, the DB-Katana Ganma punched Chelsea so hard in the stomach that she was knocked out, making her drop her stuff. Seeing her as food, it picked her up and carried her over his shoulder before attempting to escape to evade the Riders.
"Chelsea!" Nihlus ran after them, followed by Ghost who pick up the Chelsea's items. As they ran, Nihlus pulled out his card.
"Henshin!"
He quickly placed it in his Driver and closed it.
"KAMEN RIDE: DECADE!'
Nihlus transformed into Decade, surprising Ghost but that wasn't important. The two Riders just chased after the monster and Chelsea into the main mansion area where a bunch of the guards were for supper.
They started scrambling around, trying to stop all three of them. Decade and Ghost tried blocking and dodging with their swords but Decade noticed the DB-Katana Ganma easily cutting through everyone else before making it outside.
Decade looked at the guards and realized that he doesn't have a choice.
"Sorry!" Decade said before stabbing a guard in the stomach and then kicked him away. He started running towards the exit while cutting down anyone that was in his way while Ghost was stuck with the leftover guards.
With Chelsea, she stirred for a little bit before waking up and realized that she and the monster were on the top of a rooftop. The DB-Katana Ganma managed to drop her off and looked extremely hungry as it was eyeing her. Chelsea looked intimidated as she dropped her needles and Gaea Foundation when the hybrid knocked her out.
Before anything else can be done…
"KAMEN RIDE: DOUBLE (W)!"
Decade, in the form of W CycloneJoker, floated up with Cyclone's power. He landed on the roof before rushing in between the two.
"Who-?" Chelsea started before D-W looked at her.
"You okay, Chelsea?" The Rider asked, surprising the auburn-haired girl.
"Boy, is that you?" Chelsea asked as D-W took out another card and opened his Driver. "That your Teigu?"
"Sorta, it's a long story. But right now…" D-W inserted the card into his belt and closed it.
"FORM RIDE: DOUBLE (W) HEAT-METAL!"
D-W's colors went from green and black to red and silver respectively. He pulled out his sword before it changed into W's Metal Shaft. D-W twirled his staff a bit before adopting a combat stance while the DB-Katana Ganma charged.
D-W prepared himself before jabbing the hybrid with one end of the staff and whacking it with the other end of the weapon. The monster only roared in response before using its' sword arm to sweep the Rider's legs. D-W dodged before looking back at Chelsea, remembering that her safety matters right now. He placed his staff on his back, swept Chelsea into his arms bridal style, and then jumped off the roof.
He landed safely on the ground before placing Chelsea back on her feet.
"You okay?" he asked before Chelsea noticed something behind him.
"Look out!" She said, pointing at the diving DB-Katana Ganma flying down for them. D-W pulled his staff back out but before he can react, he was stabbed in the shoulder by the monster. The Rider screamed in pain as the hybrid monster twisted the blade.
Chelsea, not wanting to see her comrade in any more pain, saw the staff at her feet. She picked it up and charged before jabbing the monster off of D-W, removing the blade. Chelsea helped D-W up while DB-Katana Ganma roared and attempted to attack again but only to be shot by Ghost, who finally caught up with the others.
Ghost kept shooting while Chelsea gave the staff back to D-W. Once he gotten his staff back, he charged and whacked the monster multiple times before kicking him away.
"Time to finish this!" D-W said as he pulled out another card and placed it in his belt.
"FINAL ATTACK RIDE: D-D-DOUBLE (W)!"
Both ends of D-W's staff started exhausting flames in the form of blades.
"Metal Branding!" D-W declared as he charged and slashed the DB-Katana Ganma multiple times with the flaming ends before they become exhausted. D-W got away as the monster fell and exploded, leaving a stony Eyecon which soon shattered.
Ghost and D-W reverted back to their civilian forms as the sun was starting to rise with people starting to wake up and investigate the scene.
"We should leave and report." Takeru said as he and the other two started to head into the forest, disappearing.
As they were leaving, Takeru noticed Nihlus holding his bleeding shoulder.
"When we get back, I can take a look at the wound for you. You also need to explain what that Teigu of yours is."
Nihlus looked a little tense about it but he just nodded, not wanting to go into details now. Takeru nodded back before giving Chelsea back her stuff and going on a little ahead of the two.
"Hey Boy…" Chelsea said and Nihlus looked at her.
"My name is Nihlus." He corrected her.
"Whatever." She replied as she placed in a new lollipop. "Look, I just want to say…thanks for the save and I'm sorry for scolding you earlier ago."
"It's cool and I'm sorry for almost blowing our cover." Nihlus replied back.
"Well, considering you saved my life…I'll give you another chance at this whole partner thing. Deal?" Chelsea stuck her hand out and Nihlus looked at it before smiling and shaking it.
"Deal. And remember, my name is Nihlus."
"Still a weird name." She remarked, making Nihlus chuckle.
"It's nothing special."
(At a village somewhere else)
People were minding their own business and children were playing. A pair of kids were playing catch with ball before one of them missed and chased after the ball. He managed to follow it and grab it just outside the village.
He saw a shadow covering him and looked up to see Dark Ghost and his Necrom force.
"Tell me youngling, is this the village that Takeru Tanaka lives in?" He asked.
The kid, not knowing better, nodded before Dark Ghost summoned and raised his sword.
(With Dark Decade)
Dark Decade was walking through the halls of his castle before approaching a lab. He saw a man in a white coat wearing a plague doctor mask. He was typing stuff into his computer. Around him were several chemicals and experiments.
"Doctor." He called.
"You need me, my lord?" The Doctor asked, making the Dark Rider nod.
"The collar, it's starting to sound buggy."
"What'd you do this time?"
"Just fix the damn collar." Dark Decade said as his hand went into his hood and pulled out a metallic collar before laying it on the table.
"Fine. Fine." The Doctor said, examining the collar. "I'll have the Voice Changer fixed soon, my lord."
Dark Decade nodded and started walking towards the door.
"You'd think Decade would actually remember your voice again if he heard it?"
Dark Decade only stared at the Doctor before leaving the room completely.
AN: And there! I'm back after so damn long! Believe me, I wanted to get this chapter out earlier but real life stuff took my attention.
