So funny story, I wanted to write another KR story that I haven't updated in a while but I don't have enough time to write and get it out by the end of summer due to some research and catching up. For now, as a result, this next update is going to be Decade's since it's been a year since I've written the last chapter. Now, Showtime!

Chapter 12: Ghost's World Part 1
What was once a nice and peaceful village was now a smoldering site of a massacre. Several bodies, young and old, were scattered throughout the area in pools and puddles of blood. The Ganma present were either piling up bodies, killing survivors, or torching buildings. The worst part is that they seemed to have been taking joy in all of this. Meanwhile the three Necroms were making sure that the outskirts of the village remained isolated, there was no one watching or anyone hiding along the way. So far, Red managed to capture and kill a few families that were hiding in the bushes.
One man tried crawling away in hopes of surviving another day. However just as it looked like he was about to reach the village, Dark Ghost appeared before him while wielding a bloodied sword.
"N-No, please! Have mercy!" The man begged but it seemed like his words have fallen on deaf ears as Dark Ghost raised his sword and ended the poor man's life.
After that bit of business was done, Dark Ghost approached his men.
"Make sure that no one survives." Dark Ghost said and they all nodded before double-checking in some of the remaining intact buildings before they have to burn it down.
Soon a Grey Mirror appeared and out came a hooded Dark Decade.
"My Lord." Dark Ghost greeted as he reverted back to Argos.
"I assume that you have a good reason for doing all of this."
"As you know, I've been watching this world's Ghost for a while now. He's had an impressive streak, even saving a comrade when she was supposed to be killed. However, if he wants to change the script, I'm going to make my own changes too." Argos explained as he sat on a nearby box. "As you told me, my Takeru went on to enjoy his new happy little life with his friends and family. So, I'm going to take that away from this Takeru."
Dark Decade nodded as he understood from a certain point of view. He scanned the area around a bit before looking back at Argos.
"I hope you know what you're doing. Riders can be very dangerous when angry or crossed with." Dark Decade warned while Argos simply laughed as a response.
"Oh don't you worry about that. No one knows that better than me." He smiled.
(Play Journey Through the Decade by Gackt)
Kamen Rider Decade. He has been given the power of a destroyer to destroy one.} As the song starts the scene focuses on Decade, who just transformed, standing in a white room filled with filming clips.
{Miageru hoshi sorezore no rekishi ga kagayaite} Fu covers Nihlus's eyes until she lets go. His eye is zoomed in and is soon replaced with the camera, his camera, and later his upgraded Decadriver which includes all 15 Heisei Riders including himself. His Machine Decader is shown parked in front of a pile of smoking rubble. In the white room Nihlus grabs one of the cubes and faces the camera.
{Seiza no you sen de musubu shunkan hajimaru Legend} The scene changes to a worn down warehouse with all Riders sitting but one at a time. Fu grabs a bottle and looks at it. Nihlus looks back. Meanwhile Chelsea watches Nihlus from a window with a tear rolling down. Yugi slumps his back against his TryChaser 2000 as the silhouettes of the other Riders appeared one by one. Fu throws the bottle down on the floor.
{Oorora (aurora) yurameku jikuu koete. Tobikomu meisou suru Parallel world}On one side the Dark Riders charge while on the other the Riders of Good did the same. When the bottle shatters, Nihlus looks as though he was about to collapse but not before his face changing into each of the Riders' helmets. Back at the warehouse all 15 riders were lined up doing their signature poses and with Decade in the center but behind him was Fu.
{On the road dare mo tabi no tochuu. Hontou no jibun jishin deau tame.} All 15 Riders were in a circle and were fending off the Dark Riders as they were being surrounded by them. Nihlus is then shown on his bike getting his helmet on and Chelsea was riding passenger while Yugi had Fu. Chelsea grabs onto him tightly. Next, Decade shows off his fighting skills especially with the Attack Ride: Slash card. Soon back to the Riders, everyone was doing their best trying to watch each other's back while against the Dark Riders.
{Atarashii yoake e to tsuzuku michi ni kawaru no darou.} Nihlus sits alone exhausted and with tears rolling down his face until Chelsea was in front of him with his camera in one hand and offering the other to help him up. We soon see Yugi riding with Nihlus and Fu on their respective bikes. Back on the battle, Blade was having trouble with Glaive until Decade shows up and pushed Glaive away. Ryuga was about to use his Strike Vent on Decade until Ryuki used his first which saved Decade.
{Mokugekise yo Journey through the Decade.} The Riders were helping each other trying to take down their respective foe. Soon Chelsea is seen with a smile in Decade's mind. But Decade focuses on the battle and helping his comrades. Decade was soon on his bike driving out of a Gray Mirror with pictures of the other 16 Riders in it and they circled the logo.
(At Night Raid HQ)
Nihlus, Chelsea, and Takeru have made their way back to HQ after dealing with that DB-Ganma job. The morning sun has now risen and Nihlus let out a big yawn, given that he wasn't used to pulling an all-nighter like these assassins do.
"Don't worry, it gets easier." Chelsea said as she opened up the entrance and walked through while the Rider looked at the medic for confirmation.
"I'm a literal dead man walking. Sleep has little effect on me regardless." Takeru said as he walked through next.
As they entered, Nihlus noticed a brown-haired young man with green eyes getting something to eat before noticing the group.
"Chelsea? Takeru?"
"Tatsumi, you're back. Where have you been?" Chelsea recognized as Nihlus did the same.
"You look worn out for wear. Do you need a checkup? A small treatment?" Takeru offered while Tatsumi chuckled as he drank a glass of water.
"I'm fine, doc. I just…had a bit of a rough time getting back here. That's all." He assured. Nihlus knew full well what he meant as he was aware of Tatsumi's unexpected visit to a South-Eastern island with the Empire's Ice Queen, Esdeath.
Chelsea and Takeru seemed to buy it while Tatsumi finally noticed Nihlus's presence.
"Who's this guy and why is he in our base?" Tatsumi asked while Nihlus stepped up.
"I don't know if Boss has mentioned me before, but I'm one of the new recruits. My name is Nihlus. A pleasure to meet you." Nihlus took his arm out to shake.
Tatsumi smiled widely as he did the same back.
"Tatsumi. So you're the third guy, huh?"
"Yeah, you met the other two."
Tatsumi then chuckled.
"Funny story about that, they thought I was an intruder and tried to fight me."
"They didn't give you too much trouble, I hope?"
"Don't worry, the fight got broken up before it can get worse. I am surprised that guy, Yugi, has an armor-type Teigu like me."
"Yeah…" Nihlus waved off.
"Well what a coincidence because Nihlus here has an armor-type Teigu."
"That so?
"Y-Yeah…"
"I'm sure you guys can talk about it later." Najenda said as she approached the group before looking at Tatsumi. "You should get some rest now, given what you've been through."
"Thanks." Tatsumi then looked at Nihlus. "Hope we can get to know each other better."
"Yeah, same." Nihlus said as Tatsumi walked out of view while the white-haired leader looked at the trio.
"So how did the mission go?" She asked.
"Well, I would like to report that the mission was successful…for the most part." Takeru explained as Chelsea stepped up next.
"We did manage to kill the noble and destroyed all remaining research data, however the subject did get loose. With the aid of Nihlus and Takeru, we were able to kill the monster."
"What's this, Chelsea? Yesterday, you made it no secret that you weren't excited about having Nihlus as a partner? Does this mean that you've changed your mind?"
Chelsea scanned her partner from top to bottom before looking back at Najenda.
"Well...he's sure as hell nowhere near the ideal partner. But he can hold his share of the workload." Chelsea admitted, remembering how she was saved.
"So, you'd have no objection to keeping him around as a partner?" Najenda repeated in asking.
"For now, at least."
"Then, it's settled." Najenda replied before Nihlus looked at Chelsea.
"Thanks for the vote of confidence."
"Just don't get too close to me or else~." Chelsea teased.
"Now then, I believe you three earned some rest as a job well done for now." Najenda said as they all nodded. Chelsea proceeded to enter the kitchen where most of the others were at while Takeru went off to his office.
Nihlus followed Takeru before seeing the Night Raid medic started packing up.
"You're leaving?" Nihlus asked.
"Only for a bit. I'm heading to the Capital City to check on the courier to see if he managed to deliver the money I've sent to my village."
"You send money to your village?"
"My village doesn't have much, but it's nice and peaceful enough. They need help." Takeru explained as he finally packed up his bag.
"Want me to come with you?"
"Nah, I don't have my face drawn on a wanted poster yet. Plus, you're the new guy. Even if I wasn't the team medic, it's obvious you're still a bit worn out so sit down and relax for a bit. If you see Akame, just tell her I'll be back in a few hours." Takeru then placed his bag and left the building.
After watching him leave, Nihlus then entered the kitchen where he can see mostly everyone was settled in…before noticing Mine chasing Chelsea, the latter of which was giggling.
'Must be another tease.' Nihlus responded as he took a seat next to Yugi and Fuu. Meanwhile, a certain black-haired red-eyed girl in a dark school uniform looked at the door before looking at Nihlus.
"You're the new guy these two mentioned, right? Nihlus?"
"Yeah?"
"Have you seen Takeru?"
"He went off to handle some business within the Capital City. You are Akame, right? He wanted me to tell you that he should be back in a couple hours." Nihlus explaining, earning a nod from acknowledgement from the girl.
Fuu then looked at Nihlus.
"You just missed this story! Apparently, Tatsumi was MIA because he got transported to a Southern island with a woman."
"It wasn't just any woman. It was Esdeath!" Tatsumi emphasized.
"Didn't you just explained it to us that she's an enemy?" Yugi asked, still trying to understand the story a bit while drinking from a plain white mug.
"She's not just any enemy. She's one of the Empire's strongest and even leads the Jaegers; the Empire's answer in trying to deal with us." Lubbock said as he drank his drink from Najenda's mug.
"Bearing everything that happened recently, the Jaegers seem to be targeting us directly now." Akame noted while the blonde girl, also known as Leone, agreed.
"All the new Danger Beasts have been exterminated while the Ganma are still looking for new Eyecons and don't require their aid, so Night Raid's the only thing left in their way right now." She then had a smile before leaning back a bit on her chair in a relaxing lazy manner. "Maybe they'd leave us alone if we gave them Tatsumi, who's been vacationing on the southern islands." She teased.
Tatsumi just spitted his drink at that tease while Yugi backed up a bit since he was the closest to the former.
"I told you that I was forced into that!" He argued.
"On a southern island, with only a beautiful woman…It isn't like I'm jealous or anything." Lubbock tried to wave off to wave off as he was just rapidly putting in more cream and sugar to his drink. "But why didn't you just leave her there? After all, she's the enemy. And it isn't like anyone's jealous or anything. No, seriously…" Lubbock denied, despite the fact that he obviously looks upset and is crying tears of jealousy.
"Wipe your tears, Lubba…" Leone said with a slightly annoyed look before suddenly grabbing Tatsumi by the face and shoving it against her breasts, much to everyone's surprise, save for a few. "Here, I'll overwrite your memories of that sadist! There! There!"
Yugi was blushing of embarrassment since he was next to Yugi while Fuu just chuckled at that.
"I think I like her!" Fuu remarked before the door opened as they saw Najenda, who was wearing a black tanktop and blue pants. She also had a towel around her neck. She must've freshened up after dismissing the group earlier ago.
"As long as I've known her, she's always been tough…" Najenda replied, getting everyone's attention. "Even if you'd left her, she'd have found a way back. So clearing your debts to her was better. This way, when you fight her as an enemy, you can give it your all."
"As long as you've known her? How do you know her?" Yugi asked.
"She and I used to serve together in the same unit when I was part of the Empire's army." Najenda explained before pointing at her eyepatch. "This and my arm was what I got when I tried to 'leave' her unit after seeing the damage she can cause firsthand."
"Wow…" Yugi remarked before Susanoo came in with an apron on. In one hand, he was carrying the meal on a silver platter and in the other, he was carefully pushing Sheele's wheelchair.
"Food is done!" Susanoo said as he carefully parked Sheele at the table as he laid the food down. Akame looked excited as she always have an empty stomach ready when it came to food of any kind, but her favorite was always meat.
"We hope you enjoy!" Sheele said as Mine looked at her.
"You helped?" Mine asked and the purple-haired girl nodded.
"How?" Akame asked as she recalled Sheele doing a not-so good job cooking when she was helping Akame cook.
"There are plenty of roles in cooking that she can easily help with, despite her condition." Susanoo calmly explained while Sheele tried moving her legs and trying to lift herself up from the wheelchair.
"You know, you really shouldn't struggle this much. There's no rush in trying to recover quickly." Mine assured as she didn't want her best friend to stress herself out more than she should.
"I'm sorry, but Takeru promised me that depending on my next checkup, he would get me out of this wheelchair and into crutches." Sheele explained as she tried to stand up for herself. Mine looked like she was quick to help, but to her and everyone else's surprise, Sheele managed to stand up by herself.
Everyone clapped for her but, it didn't last long as she felt her legs tiring out before she had to give in and sit back down. She looked a bit down from that attempted right when Susanoo patted her on the back.
"Don't be hard on yourself, you last longer than you have the last time you tried to stand." Susanoo consoled.
"Yeah, Takeru is sure to give you those crutches when he gets back." Tatsumi added, making Sheele smile before she looked around.
"Speaking of which, where is he?"
"He's taking care of some personal business." Najenda recalled before she looked back. "Strange, it usually doesn't take him long." This was when Akame started worrying a bit.
"He's only been gone for a short while." Nihlus tried to argue while Najenda looked serious.
"Whatever's the case, I can't delay any more than we have to. I know it's sudden, but after the meal, we need to talk about our next battle plan." Najenda said, getting everyone's attention. "We, the Revolutionary Army, have decided to make our first move to overthrowing the Empire.
(With Takeru)
Takeru just arrived at the outskirts of the city after having been told that the usual courier has been missing for a while. He decided to check on the village itself since he didn't have time to wait around. He parked his bike and proceeded to walk the rest of the way. However, his face turned into shock as he saw smoke, ruins, and blood everywhere.
"What the hell…?" He ran into the center and saw only death and destruction. "HELLO! Is anyone still alive!?"
He shouted, hoping to find at least a couple of survivors to try and figure out what the hell happened to his village.
"Come on out! I'm friendly!" Takeru shouted, but it seemed to prove inevitable. He kept exploring, but all he found was corpses. He was tempted to hurl as some of the villagers died rather horribly.
"Looks like you're too late." A voice said and Takeru turned to see the hooded Dark Decade.
"You…did you do this?" He asked in a tense voice as he pulled out his Eyecon.
"No, but I can tell you what happened." Dark Decade offered and Takeru seemed to be paying attention, even letting his guard down by only a tiny bit.
Dark Decade figured if Argos was being serious of trying to break Takeru, he might as well help him along the way. While he does normally allow his Dark Riders to do as they please as long as it suffices their long-term goal, Dark Decade felt the need to enforce himself a bit further. To make it clear that he was running the big show around here.
So if Argos wants Takeru to face him, then so be it. This is just insurance.
(With Nihlus)
Everyone gathered as they all looked to Najenda to fill them in on what's going on. She was in her usual wear, save for a black coat draped around her shoulders and on the table was a map.
"The time has come for the Revolutionary Army to rise. That said, I'll explain the first mission we've been assigned. Are you all aware of the religious group, Path of Peace, that's popular among the people?"
"The one that believes good deeds contribute to happiness and longevity?" Chelsea asked, which did answer Nihlus's group's question regarding who they are.
"Oh! They even came to my village!" Tatsumi recalled. "The icon that my chief gave me was from that religion."
"Over the past decade, Path of Peace has gained many followers. And they've become highly influential in the capital's east side. Soon, they will cause an armed uprising. Meaning, they'll incite religious insurrection. We shall use this to our advantage."
"H-Hold on a minute!" Yugi stood up in protest. "If an uprising like that occurs, won't there be civilian casualties?"
Tatsumi seemed to agree with him.
"Yeah, wouldn't make sense to give them a warning at least!"
Nihlus and Fuu wanted to support that argument as well, but they kept quiet as they wondered what the reasoning behind this would be.
"The corrupt government has oppressed the citizens excessively." Najenda explained as she took a smoke. "Even if we prevent Path of Peace's insurrection, the populace's rage will still explode at some point. The country is that close to demise already."
So in the end, it was pointless as people are already frustrated with the Empire. Even if Night Raid were to intervene, it would be pointless so they might as well leave them be. After all, people will do anything to protect their rights and freedom, even if it means full-on war. Fuu knew this feeling too well.
"I see…" Tatsumi replied as Yugi seemed to understand as well. But it really didn't make them feel much better.
"We should listen to the whole thing at least." Chelsea added, wanting to get back on track.
"Remember what I told you about the revolt of the savage tribes? And also about the northern hero?" Lubbock reminded Tatsumi.
"Those were both stopped by Esdeath, right?" Tatsumi replied.
"Their flaw was that they tried to rebel against the capital by themselves." Lubbock replied back. "The capital is incredibly powerful. Even if Path of Peace revolts, they'll be suppressed eventually. And there'll be a lot of bloodshed."
Najenda then slammed her mechanical fist on the map to get the attention back on her.
"Therefore, it's finally the Revolutionary Army's turn." Najenda stated, looking at the map and all the figures that have been placed on it. "The moment Path of Peace begins their armed uprising, we'll have a western allied tribe begin an invasion. That way, the capital will have enemies on both the inside and outside. But they'll probably be able to tough that out."
"And the Ganma?" Nihlus asked, curious to see how well the enemies of Ghost were handling in this world as a whole.
"While they have proven to be a force to reckon with, they're not exactly on the Empire's side. They have their own agenda and I think I speak for the Revolutionary Army when I say that it's better that way. They seem more focus on collecting the Eyecons that Takeru is hunting for to revive himself with."
Just then, at the mention of the word "Eyecon", a whitish-gray one jumped onto the table, much to Nihlus's group's surprise.
"You know, you don't have to listen to this." Najenda said to the Eyecon as if it was casual. "Honestly, I'm surprised he didn't bring you.
"He said that it wouldn't be necessary for the trip and despite my current status, I'm still an assassin for Night Raid. Plus, someone needs to fill in Takeru when he comes back for the rest of us." The Eyecon said before looking at Nihlus's group. "I'm sorry, I believe we never met. My name is Bulat, I'm an assassin of Night Raid."
Nihlus's group just looked surprised, especially Nihlus given how he knew about Bulat's death in the manga. The three just looked at Najenda for an answer.
"Long story short, Bulat was a comrade before he got cut down. Tatsumi inherited his Teigu while Takeru managed to resurrect what was left into an Eyecon." Najenda explained as Fuu took the Bulat Eyecon and examined it.
"This reminds me of sealing techniques back at my home." Fuu remarked, slightly confusing all of Night Raid.
"What kind of home is that?" Mine asked.
"Uh…somewhere really far away." Fuu came up with as she placed Bulat back down.
They all glared at her before Najenda resumed the briefing.
"Anyways, the Revolutionary Army will begin their rebellion from the south. They'll advance toward the capital, and overthrow it."
"A three-pronged attack?" Nihlus recognized, mainly borrowing some lines from the series.
"The capital underestimates the Revolutionary Army. Since we're gathering the infection called the rebellion in one location, you could even say they're grateful. The Revolutionary Army base is at the capital's border. In order to get to the capital, they'll have to break through several forts and castles. However, we've arranged for several castle viceroys to betray their positions. Since there were so many demoted simply for taking their jobs seriously, convincing them was easy."
Everyone just stared at the map, still listening to the plan.
"The capital will be surprised since the Revolutionary Army will advance at daunting speed without bloodshed and with repeated surrenders." Najenda continued, making Tatsumi and Yugi feel a bit better. "But even then, the capital's trump card, Commander-in-Chief Budou, and his guards will intercept them. But this will mean the palace's security will be gravely compromised."
"When that happens, it will create the perfect opportunity to assassinate the minister." Akame noted as she gripped Murasame and held it out. "We'll invade the palace, and eliminate the minister."
She then tipped over one of the pieces.
"We'll destroy the capital from the inside."
"What about the emperor himself?" Nihlus asked, knowing that Emperor Makoto was just a kid and a puppet being used by Prime Minister Honest.
"Even though he is just a child and was just a tool, the people will more than likely still blame him for everything that has happened to the country. The best we can do is put him into custody when we get our hands on him. Afterwards, it's uncertain." Najenda and Nihlus nodded as a response.
"Back onto Honest, sneaky bastards like him generally like to run away when things don't go their way."
"That's not gonna happen. He's the ringleader, so he needs to die." Leone said with a determined face as she playfully clenched her fist.
"To compensate the western tribe for helping us, we've agreed to restore their original territory to its natural state." Najenda explained.
"Restore?"
"Originally, the western region of the capital belonged to the tribes." Mine explained as she gripped her right arm. Sheele wheeled herself over to comfort her best friend by moving Mine's head to rest on her shoulder. "And having it restored is their fondest wish."
"Something up?" Yugi asked, completely clueless.
"She's partly descended from those tribes." Tatsumi replied.
"Ah."
"If the capital and its corrupt laws collapse, the citizens' rage will dissipate. As long as we move swiftly forward with our plans, bloodshed should be minimal." Najenda summarized before looking at Tatsumi and Yugi. "Are you two satisfied with this?"
The two nodded.
"However, Path of Peace, the crucial key to this plan seems to be unstable now." Najenda said, getting everyone's attention. "The religion's founder is intensely charismatic. But it turns out that his advisor, Borick, is actually a spy sent by the minister. Borick's mission was to usurp the founder's position, and stop the armed uprising. Now, here's the mission. We go to Path of Peace headquarters and take down Borick."
Najenda explained as she drew her line of attack on the map.
"He's a villain that's mixing drugs into some of the followers' food, and turning them into his obedient puppets. No need for restraint." Najenda reported and obviously this struck a chord with Nihlus and his group. Outside of Fuu, the two Riders weren't used to the prospect of having to kill someone who isn't a monster, but they have little choices. They can agree that this is an awful person that needs to be stopped at the very least.
It seemed that at least some of the others agreed since Lubbock had a pissed off look.
"He's probably going from girl to girl, and having his way with them." Lubbock angrily thought out loud.
"Mixing drugs into food is a crime against food!" Susanoo angrily remarked, showing some surprising emotion for a living tool.
"I'll never forgive him!" The two angrily proclaimed as they locked arms with each with fiery determination in their eyes, proclaiming a promise to end this man's life as painfully as possible. Everyone else just stared at the two with deadpanned looks.
"You two…Don't you think you're missing the mark as to what should anger you?" Najenda asked with her deadpanned look still on her face.
Meanwhile Leone and Fuu thought more on the situation.
"If they're left alone, more followers will be drugged…" Leone started.
"We need to put a stop to it." Fuu said as the thought of unwilling control sent chills down her spine.
"Will you rely on my power to defeat this foe?" Nanabi asked within her head.
"Not now, Nanabi…" Fuu replied as Najenda then had one last matter left to discusss.
"Finally, regarding the Jaegers…as long as Esdeath leads them, they're still part of the minister's private army. That said, in order for our plan to go smoothly, dealing with them first would be best." Najenda said, slightly surprising everyone else. "At this point, they're giving their all to hunt us down. Since that's the case, we'll lure them outside the capital. And then we'll attack."
"So it's finally time for an all-out showdown!" Mine said as she had a score to settle with a certain ginger-haired girl from the Jaegers.
"Headquarters has also sent a specific request to take our Kurome and Bols if given the chance." Najenda reported as she smoked once more.
Nihlus tensed a bit as he looked at Chelsea. As he remembered correctly, in the manga/anime, Chelsea successfully murdered Bols and took his place to briefly infiltrate the Jaegers. Afterwards, she did try to kill Kurome and failed…horribly. She was killed by two of Kurome's puppets via fatal gunshot wound to the abdomen and finished off by having her head chopped off.
Nihlus took a deep breath to calm down as he had some hope in saving her. Perhaps being her partner, he might be able to prevent her from taking Bol's life by trying to talk her out of it. And worst case scenario, he can be able to pull her away from Kurome.
"…right, Tatsumi?" Najenda finished her question as Nihlus finally focused back on the conversation. It looked like he was being asked about the Jaegers, given that Tatsumi spent time with them while being undercover. It was a good thing that they didn't know his identity at that point.
Tatsumi seemed to be thinking really hard about this before coming up with a decision.
"I'll give it all I've got, even if they aren't our main targets. I have no doubts!"
Everyone seemed happy and impressed by Tatsumi's determination while Nihlus couldn't help but worry. He then took into the account of the Dark Riders, given that Dark Decade has been on his heels since his first world visited. There's no doubt that the Dark Rider Leader is here and is aiding whatever Dark Rider would be associated with Ghost.
'Speaking of which…where is Takeru?' Nihlus wondered as he looked at Chelsea, who was blushing at some thoughts of her own. He then remembered how Chelsea had a crush on Tatsumi due to his words and kindness. Hell, as described in the manga, her last thoughts were of him. He wondered how would she react to Tatsumi and Mine ending up being together.
Unknown to then, around the corner of the room was Dark Decade, who had listened as to what Night Raid's plan was going to be in regards to the Jaegers. After listening in on everything, Dark Decade sensed movement and immediately created a Grey Mirror before going through it.
After a few minutes, Takeru suddenly appeared in the room, much Nihlus and his group's surprise.
"Woah!" All three let out while the others were simply just surprised.
"I'm not gonna get used to that." Nihlus remarked.
"Being teammates with an actual ghost? Kinda creepy." Fuu remarked, remembering how Night Raid informed her and Yugi of Takeru's current state
"About time you got back, we were all starting to get worried." Najenda remarked before noticing Takeru's blank yet saddened face.
"Did…something happen?" Akame asked and Takeru tried his best to stay as calm as possible as his emotions do have some control over his ghostly powers.
"It's gone. It's all gone…" Takeru said, while trying not to lose his cool.
"What's gone?"
"My village…my home…every man, woman, and child…all dead." Takeru sadly said, getting sad stares and silence from everyone.
"…Did you know who did it?" Najenda asked.
"I only got a name; Argos." Takeru replied.
"Doesn't sound like any noble I know." Najenda said as she thought about it while Nihlus approached the medic.
"Where did you learn this name?" Nihlus asked out of curiosity.
"I can't say, I didn't see his face. He wore a black hooded coat." Takeru explained and this sent a shiver to Nihlus and friends' spines as they know full well that could be Dark Decade or any of his dark Riders.
"Either way, we don't have time to go on a personal vendetta mission." Najenda explained while Akame approached Takeru and placed a hand on his shoulder.
"I'll help yu find this man, but right now, we've gotta deal with the Jaegers." Akame said and Takeru nodded in understanding as he looked at his leader.
"Alright, what did I miss and how can I help?"
(A day later)
A couple of Revolutionary Army spies were hiding in the bushes as they soon saw the Jaegers, on horseback, leaving when following a lead that Night Raid's Mine, Akame, and Takeru were spotted near the eastern side of Romary Street.
"It's the Jaegers!" One of the spies recognized. "All six are headed east!"
"It's all going according to Najenda's plan!" The other spy noted as he started jotting all of this down onto a notepad. Once he was done writing, he and his comrade tied the note to the leg of a falcon. "I'm counting on you, margue falcon. Take this message to Night Raid!""
The bird then flew off with the two spies hoping they would succeed.
(With Najenda)
Najenda was sitting on a chair on a cliff, overlooking a massive lake down below. The bird landed on her arm, prompting her to remove the message and started reading it.
"Six, huh? So all the Jaegers are on the move. Judging by Esdeath's, even if they had our location information, they'd arrive sometime past noon tomorrow." Najenda concluded as she allowed the bird to fly freely.
She then got off the chair and turned back to see Akame and Mine in a red and pink bikini respectively. Takeru was shirtless and wearing black swim trunks with a couple of flaming decals on the side.
"I received information from the Revolutionary Army's spies. You three, casually attract attention as planned." Najenda said.
"Roger that." The three said as they went off to perform their part of the plan. As Najenda continued looking out at the scenario, she heard footsteps approach her.
"I was wondering if you'd get my message, Jin." Najenda said. Behind her was a young man with short black hair and light blue eyes. He was wearing a dark blue and black jacket with a dark outfit underneath.
"When you mentioned what happened to Takeru and his village, I came as quickly as I could. I just had to leave my sister in a place where I can trust her to be safe in." Jin explained.
"Takeru said that he's coping as best as he can, but I can tell he's lying."
"How can someone just say they're okay after something like that? That used to be my home for a few years too. I'm pissed as hell, but Takeru has known it all his life. It's where he was raised and trained to be a healer like his father."
"You think he'll be fit to undergo this mission. I know this is cold of me to say, but we need him at his best right now if we are to stand a chance against the Jaegers."
"I can't really answer that. I'm not good with analyzing people as he is. But, if you want, I can participate in this mission as well. Just to keep an eye on him."
Najenda then nodded.
"I would appreciate it, if you don't mind."
Jin nodded as he went off to join Takeru and his group.
(With Nihlus and the others)
Nihlus, Yugi, Tatsumi, and Lubbock were on the beach in their own trunks as they were watching Fuu, Chelsea, and Leone, who were wearing bikinis, playing with each other in the water. Originally, the three world travelers didn't bring their swimming stuff since the studio was back in the café, but Night Raid managed to give them some spares they had.
Even though Sheele couldn't exactly swim and play with the others, however Susanoo was trying to give her some enjoyment by carrying her on his back to depths that she can enjoy.
"How is this depth? Is this too deep for you?" The living Teigu asked her he was up to his neck in water while Sheele nodded.
"This is alright, the water is doing quite wonder for my legs." Sheele admitted, taking in the cool feeling from the water. She then looked at Susanoo with a somewhat concerned look on her face. "You sure that you're going be fine carrying me like this?"
"Don't worry, I have undertaken more absurd tasks before.' Susanoo calmly said. "Just let me know how I can be more of an aid for you."
Sheele nodded gleefully while the guys on the beach couldn't help but noticed the perverted look on Lubbock's face.
"Well…It's sure nice to be able to see girls in swimsuits, in a place like this!" Lubbock remarked happily.
"You have to stop drooling." Tatumi replied.
"This is part of the plan, remember?"
"I-I know that! Are you two gay or something!?" Lubbock snapped back, earning a knock to the head by Yugi surprisingly. "OW!"
Nihlus and Tatsumi looked at Yugi surprised.
"A certain…friend of mine would get hit on a lot." Yugi explained as he silently missed Tea and hoped that she gotten out of her coma by the time that he finds a way back to his world.
"Hey, partner!" Chelsea called and Nihlus looked over to see Chelsea gesturing him to come over to her. "Come on in! The water is fine!"
"Huh? Uh…" Nihlus was caught a bit offguard at the request, not just because it was off script, but also that she's inviting him of all people. Usually she would've invited Tatsumi over, given her crush on him and not to mention, she didn't want to work with him at first.
"Come on, I won't bite!" Chelsea insisted before adopting a teasing smile. "Unless you want me to?"
"I, uh, I mean I'll go! Sure!" Nihlus said as he tried to recompose himself, leaving behind a slightly confused Yugi and Tatsumi while Lubbock was full-on jealous right now.
'First, Tatsumi and now a new guy!? Just my goddamned luck!' Lubbock whined mentally as he was starting think that there is some force in the universe that was working against him.
As Nihlus got in the water and started his approach on the auburn-haired girl, she started splashing water on him.
"Hey!"
"What? You thought it would be that easy?" Chelsea asked as she then giggled. "Come on, just reach me and I promise I'll stop."
Nihlus just chuckled as he tried approaching her. He can use a fun activity like this, especially with the business that they have to deal with later today. Along with tricking fate once again as he did with Fuu when he started his journey.
However, thinking about these things for too long proved to be his undoing as Chelsea's constant splashing, ended up pushing him into the water. Chelsea laughed as Nihlus recomposed himself before he had a devious smile on his face.
He swam to where she was standing and pulled her down by her legs, catching her by surprise. After a few seconds, Nihlus emerged from the water and laughed as Chelsea got out next.
"Didn't your mother tell you not to grab a girl like that?" Chelsea asked as she placed her hands on her hips with an unamused face. Truth be told, Nihlus was raised in an orphanage for as long as he can remember, but he didn't want to ruin the mood.
"Oh come on, I caught you! I think I won a little prize." Nihlus replied and Chelsea stared at him for a few moments before chuckling a little.
"Okay…but here's what I thought of for you!" Chelsea then splashed more water at him, causing the two to laugh.
Soon water was splashed at both of them before the drenched pair turned to see Fuu.
"Sorry, that looked so much fun!" Fuu chuckled a bit before all three laughed.
(With Akame and Mine)
"They look like they're having fun." Mine remarked as she looked down at everyone while Akame was watching Takeru and Jin talk. The two best friends were talking about their plan against the Jaegers while Jin was also trying to console Takeru with what happened.
Mine approached Akame.
"They've been talking for a while." Akame remarked.
"I'm surprised that we still let an outside like him take part in such a big operation." Mine commented.
"Well, he does owe us, especially Takeru, quite a lot. After all, he did trade in his old time limit to restore his sister." Akame recalled as she adopted a worried look.
"But now he's got a new one. We're still missing quite a few Eyecons to make up with." Mine then looked at her with a serious expression. "You're worried, aren't you?"
"…" Akame said nothing.
"You do have a lot going on; your sister being one of our prime targets and now we have Doc here going into an emo stage." Mine listed. "He's going to need you to be there for him."
"Hm?" Akame was a bit surprised to hear Mine say something so serious.
"Doc has always been patching our wounds and making sure we're safe like an actual doctor should be. And for once, he's going to be the one in need of a patch." Mine then looked at Akame. "You have to remind him, that even though he just lost everyone, he still has us."
Akame looked surprised before she smiled and nodded in determination.
"Right."
(The next day)
Fuu and Mine were on top of a cliff in a canyon where Mine was staring down the scope of Pumpkin with Kurome in her sights. She, Wave, and Bols were looking at the scarecrow they had implemented earlier ago.
"Looks they split up, judging by the numbers."
"Then the others would've headed after the Boss in the east." Fuu remarked.
Mine smirked.
"Just as we planned." Mine said as she stood up. "I'm going to make this quick with a simple and painless shot to the head."
The pink-haired girl then pulled the trigger, firing a powerful beam of energy. It was heading for Kurome at a rapid speed, but she managed to dodge it as it was about to collide with her head.
"Woah…" Fuu remarked as she was both impressed and a bit intimidated with that. She then realized what that meant for her and Mine; their position has been exposed. She grabbed Mine by the shoulder. "We have to move now!" Fuu insisted and the shocked pink-haired girl nodded as the two ran away.
As Kurome and her comrades were looking for whoever fired that shot, the scarecrow exploded and Susanoo emerged, trying to swing his Wolf Fang Mace at the black-haired girl.
"Kurome!"
Wave got in-between them and attempted to block the living Teigu's attack with his blade before Susanoo turned this to his advantage by using his attack to throw Wave into the sky.
"Wave!"
"So, we failed to snipe you. But in terms of war, the fact that we blew away one who wasn't even a target, is a good start." Najenda said as she appeared with Akame, Leone, Tatsumi in his Incursio armor, Ghost, and Decade.
The two Jaegers looked surprised as they had pieced together that this was a trap.
"Kurome and Bols…you're our targets among the Jaegers." Najenda informed as she pointed at them. "Brace yourselves!"
Bols didn't say a word but readied Rubicante and aimed the flamethrower Teigu at them. Meanwhile the sisters were staring each other down as the younger sister grew a smile.
"Sis…"
"Kurome." Akame replied with a blank lookas Kurome had a gleeful expression as she pressed her hands together.
"I really wanted to see you. I'm so glad…" Her smile then turned sinister as she took out her katana and unsheathed it. Akame followed the same as she placed her guard up. "Because if I kill you…I can add you to Yatsufusa's collection."
Decade kept his guard up as he knew full well that Kurome's sword, Yatsufusa, has the ability to raise the dead and control them as mindless puppets. And added with Kurome's sadistic and somewhat crazy personality, it was truly a dangerous opponent that he was facing right now.
The younger sister raised her sword in the air as it started to spread dark energy. Several dark hands emerged from the ground before they've risen as figures, four to be exact. However, that didn't stop the ground from shaking.
"W-What is this!? An earthquake!?" Najenda questioned as a giant skeletal hand emerged from the ground behind Kurome.
"Unlike the me of the past…" Kurome started as the giant figure started to rise from the ground. "I can turn any dead body into a puppet now…Sis."
Kurome jumped into the giant hand of the recently-reincarnated figure, which soon revealed itself to be a giant dinosaur-like Danger Beast. "Even if it's a mega-class Danger Beast, like the Death Tagool. Now then, let us begin this battle between Teigu wielders. I wonder how many."
Akame then charged first as she this as a perfect opportunity, given that Kurome has to give her some of her own life energy to keep the 8 corpses operational. She tried attacking Kurome head-on, but was blocked by her.
After a couple of clashes and dodges between the sisters, Akame tried charging again before someone got between them. Akame's eyes widened as she saw her katana being blocked by the spear of one of her former comrades; Natala.
"N-Natala!" Akame recognized as the corpse puppet tried to kill her, forcing her to step back "Let him rest! Wasn't he an old friend of yours!?" She asked as she remembered her time with Natala when he was alive.
"What do you mean, Sis?" Kurome asked as she charged next with her blade colliding with Akame's yet again. "I want to always be with him because he's my friend. I'll add you to my collection as well, Sis. That way, we can be together again."
Akame was shocked at that proclamation before quickly recomposing herself.
"Don't be-!"
Natala then tried to attack from behind, causing Akame to fall off of the Death Tagool. As she fell, she noticed Bols readying Rubicante for a long range attack. Akame's eyes widened before Ghost flew by and caught her before flying away.
"Takeru…" Akame looked at Ghost.
"I can't afford to lose you too." Ghost said as he looked at Akame."Remember our promise?"
Akame's eyes slightly widened before she nodded.
"I understand. Sorry." Akame apologized as Ghost landed next to his comrades. Meanwhile Kurome and Natala jumped off onto a nearby cliff. Kurome sat on a rock as she happily enjoyed the cookies that she usually carries.
Unknown to both parties, Dark Decade was on top of a taller cliff, looking down as the Death Tagool fired a massive energy shot which turned a wide range of the land in front of it into a scarred wasteland. The Dark Rider leader managed to spot Decade and the rest of Night Raid getting away safely.
"Hmm…" Dark Decade then took something out of his pocket, revealing it to be an issue of the Akame ga Kill manga. He read through the issue, which portrayed the battle and showed how it normally would have ended. He closed the book and placed it in his pocket. "Maybe Argos was right, changing the script can be good old-fashioned fun."
He placed his Driver on and got his card out.
"Henshin."
"KAMEN RIDE: DECADE!"
Dark Decade transformed into his Rider form as he looked at the skeletal behemoth. He then looked at Kurome and Natala before looking at the scattered Night Raid group.
"Let's make a change here…"
He summoned a Grey Mirror right below Ghost's feet right when he and Akame were about to fight Bols.
"What the-?" Before Ghost can say anything else, he partially fell through with his lower half already inside. He tried climbing up, but the pull from the portal felt too strong.
"Takeru!" Akame tried grabbing Ghost's hand with her free one and tried to pull him up before the two were dragged in entirely, much to Bols's confusion and Wall, the corpse puppet that was summoned to assist him.
"Huh?" Kurome noticed her sister's absence before she spotted another Grey Mirror in another spot of the battlefield.
"Another change there…" Dark Decade said as his light counterpart and armored Tatsumi was about to face corpse puppet Apeman.
A Grey Mirror popped up behind Apeman before moving up and swallowing him whole.
"What the hell?"
Decade's eyes widened underneath his helmet as he recognized those portals.
"You got to be kidding me! He's here!?" Decade looked around as Tatsumi was even more confused.
"What are you talking about? Who's here?"
Meanwhile Dark Decade noticed Fuu fighting Doya as the ninja was constantly dodging the gunslinger's bullets. She even used some of Nanabi's powers, using bug wings to strafe around the trees, making her a much harder target to shoot.
"Let's see how well of a shot you are after this!" Fuu said as she got close enough to spew a sparkling substance from her mouth at Doya's face. The green-haired girl backed up before launching webbing from her hands,
The webbing covered and pinned Doya's hands to the trees, making it impossible to shoot for the corpse puppet. Fuu then rolled out of the way, revealing Mine aiming through Pumpkin's scope.
"Got her!" Mine said as her scope had Doya's face, but then a Grey Mirror then appeared behind her. Fuu noticed it as it was about to move and swallow Mine.
"Look out!" Fuu then tackled the pink twin-haired assassin out of the way, allowing the portal to consume Doya instead before fading.
"What the hell was that!?" Mine questioned as she and Fuu stood up while the latter got a serious expression on, knowing full well what that portal was.
(With Ghost and Akame)
The original Grey Mirror appeared overhead as Ghost and Akame fell out of it and onto the hard ground.
Ghost held Akame in an embrace to shield her as he fell on his back. Luckily his armor took the impact as the undead looked at the girl.
"You okay?"
"Yeah…" Akame said as she and Ghost got up and looked around.
"What is this place…?" Ghost said as they were on the top of a building in a modernized city.
"Is this supposed to be a city?" Akame wondered before…
"This was supposed to be between us two, but I suppose we have room for one more." A voice said behind them.
They turned and saw Argos.
"Who are you?" Ghost said as he got in front of Akame.
"My name is Argos…I'm the one who destroyed your village." Argos said happily as he summoned his Driver. "And I'll be the one who'll destroy you."
He then took out his Eyecon and pressed the button on it.
"Henshin!"
(With the battle)
"And a couple more changes here…" Dark Decade muttered to himself as he replaced Doya with Seryu, thanks to a portal she found earlier ago when she and the others thought they were in pursuit of Najenda and the others.
He continued playing portals by transferring Yugi, as Kuuga, to where Leone was.
"Huh?" Kuuga was confused as he was originally with Lubbock, Chelsea, and Jin to provide support. He then notice Leone taking a harsh whipping punishment from the red-haired corpse puppet, Rokugou. "Hang on, I'm coming!"
Kuuga charged and Rokugou noticed before trying to whip the red-armored Rider. Kuuga felt the sting of every hit, but he felt worse when he fought with the Grongi…or when Nihlus utilized his Final Form Ride. Kuuga grabbed a nearby stick and readied himself.
"Chou henshin!"
His eyes changed from red to purple as he was then donned in purple and silver armor while the stick transformed into a sword. He was now in his Titan form.
The corpse puppet seemed to be a bit surprised before resuming trying to take care of Kuuga. Kuuga was being a brave soldier as he was taking all this damage with it doing little damage to him while Leone recovered and was waiting for the right time to attack.
"I'm still not used to the whole prospect of killing!" Kuuga exclaimed while Leone rushed in advance and managed to nail a good punch before the corpse puppet tried whipping her next. This caused her to jump back with Kuuga.
"Relax, that's a corpse puppet. We're probably doing it a favor by killing it." Leone explained while Kuuga felt angry at the prospect of someone's dead body being used in a fight like this.
This strengthened his resolved as he gripped his sword tightly.
"Understood." Kuuga said as he and Leone charged, though the former was a bit slow due to the added armor.
(With Tatsumi and Decade)
With the seemingly Apeman gone for now, the two armored young men tried looking for their comrades on the battlefield.
"So, you seem to recognize that thing before." Tatsumi remarked as Decade just looked around, wondering if his dark counterpart or any other Dark Rider was within the area.
"I suppose you can say that." Decade replied before a black blur went past them, slashing both armored men in the process.
The two fell on the ground before recovering to see that it was a man in a dark cloak with white eyes underneath a red mask.
"Unskilled, unskilled, unskilled…" The dark-cloak corpse puppet, Henter, said as Tatsumi summoned his lance before…
BANG! BANG!
Tatsumi and Decade rolled out of the way to see Doya, smirking as she aimed her two revolvers.
"Where did she come from?" Decade questioned.
"Doesn't matter. We need to take care of these guys."
"Agreed." Decade said as he took out two cards and placed them in his belt, one by one.
"KAMEN RIDE: DOUBLE (W)!"
"FORM RIDE: LUNA-TRIGGER!"
Music started playing as pixels formed up on Decade, transforming him into W Luna-Trigger form. He took his Ridebooker, in its Gun Mode, out before it transformed into the Trigger Magnum.
"Your Teigu can transform?" Tatsumi noticed as the two were back to back.
"Think of it as a Trump Card." D-W said as they charged forward with Tatsumi fighting Henter and D-W with Doya.
(With Bols and Wall)
Without Akame or Ghost to try and kill him Bols thought it would be a good idea to try and rendezvous with Kurome so they can escape to report back to Esdeath and the rest of the Jaegers. He was currently exploring the battlefield while trying to avoid the Night Raid members, who were dealing with their own problems.
However, Dark Decade noticed and thought it was a bit unfair giving one person nothing to do.
"Another change here…" He said as he summoned another Grey Mirror in front of the pyro, immediately confusing him.
"What the…?"
Bols was about to touch the portal before it moved back and a dark figure emerged.
"I told you Yugi couldn't disappear-form-What the?" The dark figure looked exactly like Ghost, with the sane dark suit and hoodie. However, the differences are that the spots that was orange was replaced with blue , the lines all over his body suit were more jagged, and he had a completely different facemask with two horns popping out instead of one. This was Kamen Rider Specter. He was supposed to be in the back with Lubbock, Yugi, and Chelsea before Yugi suddenly disappeared.
Specter noticed Bols before the Gray Mirror faded. Once the Rider recognized Bols, he jumped back into a fighting position as he summoned his large Gan Gun Hand.
Bols and Wall got ready to fight as well as Specter charged and tried to swing his weapon at the masked man before the corpse puppet took the blow as a meat shield. That, however didn't stop it in its tracks, Wall punched the black and blue Rider into the ground.
"Ow…" Specter remarked as he got up and looked at his opponents. "Come on, I'm just getting started!"
(With Dark Decade)
"And now time for one last change…" Dark Decade said as it looked at the Death Tagool, currently engaging with Najenda and Susanoo. He looked at the distance between himself and the skeletal beast before inserting a card into his belt.
"FINAL ATTACK RIDE: D-D-DECADE!"
Everyone heard that and looked to see the holographic cards lined up to the Death Tagool's head. Dark Decade took a few steps back from the cliff before sprinting at full speed right off of it in a side kick position. He flew through the cards as his attack increased in power with each card he went though.
He soon collided with the beast's head, resulting in a massive explosion that destroyed the entire beast much to everyone's surprise.
"WHAT!?" Kurome let out with a surprised face as she dropped her cookie in shock while Natala was on his guard.
"What is it!? Is it an ally?" Najenda asked as she and Susanoo were dealing with the Apeman that teleported in front of them not too long ago.
Soon the flames that replaced the Death Tagool faded, revealing Dark Decade with his sword out.
"Now this looks like fun." Dark Decade said as he chuckled a bit.
"I don't like him." Kurome remarked as she then sent Apeman and Rokugou after him. Apeman roared at him while the red-haired human corpse puppet readied his whip before the former charged and latter attempt to whip.
Much to Rokugou's surprise, Dark Decade stopped the whip by catching the other end of the rope with little to no problem. He then pulled Rokugou towards him at a fast speed, but when the two were about to collide, the Dark Rider leader stepped aside and allowed Rokugou to unwillingly smack into Apeman. The two were downed as Dark Decade placed in a new card into his belt.
"ATTACK RIDE: SLASH!"
Dark Decade's sword started glowing blue and two silhouettes of it appeared. He sent a series of slashes to the two and when his sword returned to normal, the two corpse puppets exploded, leaving nothing left to fight back. Of course, this shocked everyone especially Kurome.
"He just took out two of my corpse puppets as if they were nothing…" Kurome remarked with a small tone of fear within her voice.
D-W saw this damage while Najenda looked at D-W and then back at Dark Decade.
"Who are you? Are you an ally or foe?"
"It depends, would you be willing to kneel for me?" Dark Decade asked as he looked at the white-haired woman. "I plan to conquer this world and those beyond it. If you will bend the knee to me, I will consider aiding you in this pointless conflict."
"We are trying to overthrow one Empire and you think we'd allow you to start another?" Najenda asked, speaking for both sides regarding the second part of that sentence.
"I wasn't asking for permission." Dark Decade as he then looked over to his good counterpart.
"What do you think you're doing here?" D-W asked as he aimed his gun at Dark Decade.
"I've been watching on the sidelines for a long time now. Got bored and I figured this would be more interesting…" Dark Decade replied, prompting Tatsumi to look at D-W.
"You know him?"
"It's a long story." Decade replied while he glared at Dark Decade before aiming his gun at him.
"If no one will bend the knee, I suppose I should take care of the irritations now." Dark Decade said, although he is actually just bored. He looked over to the cliff where Kurome and Natala are. "You've lazed around long enough."
He placed a card in his Driver.
"ATTACK RIDE: BLAST!"
Dark Decade aimed his gun which had blue energy duplicates on the sides before he pulled the trigger, firing rapid shots at the cliff which caused the whole thing to collapse. Natala quickly rushed to Kurome and embraced her, trying to be a human shield for her as they fell onto the ground.
Before the Dark Rider can do anything else, he felt a presence looming over him and turned to see Susanoo with his mace in mid-swing. Dark Decade easily stepped to the side, narrowly avoiding the attack. Meanwhile behind him, Najenda aimed her prosthetic arm at Dark Decade and fired it via its grappling function.
The hand was about to grab his head before Dark Decade immediately turned and grasped the fist, much to Najenda's surprise. He then used his other hand to grab the rope part of it to real in Najenda and throw her into Susanoo, making them crash into the ground.
"Boss!" Tatsumi tried to go next after Dark Decade while Henter looked pissed.
"You're mine! Mine! Mine!" Henter said as he tried going after Tatsumi, only to be shot down by D-W.
"Your opponent is me." D-W stated as he took his Ridebooker, which reappeared at his side, in its gun mode. He dual-wielded the guns and pointed one at Henter and one at Doya. 'If he was the one messing with the battle, what did he do to Takeru and Akame…' He thought as he didn't spot the two around the battlefield since they were dragged into a Gray Mirror.
(With Ghost)
Ghost, in a much different form, flew by as he landed against the wall in some pain while Akame was fighting Riotroopers that were summoned to keep her occupied as the two Riders fought. The form he was in had a red bodysuit with black flame decals while the white eye on his chest stood out more. The helmet and the mask were red with the horn also had the flame motif as well as the dark eyes on the faceplate. For the hoodie, it was black with giant red flame parts sticking out backwards in the shoulder area. This was Kamen Rider Ghost's Toucon Boost form.
"I thought you'd have a lot more spirit in you." Dark Ghost slightly punned as Ghost took out Bulat's Eyecon.
"I'm just getting started. Let's go, Bulat!" Ghost said as he pressed the button on the side, revealing the red eye of Incursio. He opened his belt and took out his Toucon Boost Eyecon, dismissing his hoodie and turning his faceplate blank. He then replaced it with Bulat's Eyecon before closing it.
"EYE!"
"BACCHIRI MINNA! BACCHIRI MINNA! BACCHIRI MINNA!" As the belt chanted all of this, a grey parka ghost which resembled Incursio flew out and landed a couple surprise hits on Dark Ghost before flying around Ghost.
"Takeru, I'm right behind you!" The Bulat Parka Ghost said as Ghost pulled and pushed the lever on his Driver.
"KAIGAN: GET INTO DANGER! ONE HUNDRED MAN SLAYER!"
The Bulate Parka Ghost merged with Ghost and gave him a grey faceplate that had resembled Incursio's mask but without the yellow eyes. Ghost held the Sunglassseslasher in one hand and the Gan Gun Saber in the other.
He charged forward as Dark Ghost tried shooting him with his own Gan Gun Saber, but Bulat's strength was helping Ghost stave off the fire. Once he was close enough, Ghost launched a series of saber strike against the Dark Rider which caused his armor to smoke before kicking him to the ground.
"This is for my village!" Ghost said as he tried to stab Dark Ghost, but the latter managed to roll away just in time.
"Your village was going to be destroyed either by me or my master…The only difference is that I can take joy in it." Dark Ghost said as he stood up.
"Shut up!" He gave Dark Ghost another brutal slash, which caused him to stumble against a wall and used it to support himself standing.
"What's wrong? If it means anything, I suppose you can waste another wish in bringing them back just like you did with that little girl." Dark Ghost taunted yet again.
"Don't bring Reina into this!" Ghost threatened.
"Oi Takeru, stay calm!" Bulat said but Dark Ghost just kept it up.
"So, what are you? A hero or an assassin? You've killed more people than you saved."
"Takeru, he's just trying to mess with you! Don't listen to him!" Akame warned as a couple more Riotroopers arrived on the rooftop. She braced herself as she readied Murasame before killing a Riotrooper though she was worried about her friend.
"If it makes you feel better, I didn't steal anything from that place. I mean, why would I? It's just a plain backwater village in the middle of nowhere inhabited by people who are too blissfully ignorant. I did them a favor just by killing them."
Ghost roared as he then pinned Dark Ghost against the wall.
"I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!" Ghost said as Dark Ghost laughed a bit before kicking his counterpart away.
"That's right, get angry at me." Dark Ghost taunted as he stopped holding back before charging. The two clashed weapons while Akame looked a bit worried s she never saw the assassin/medic this angry before while killing two more Riotroopers.
(With Decade and the others)
D-W was trying his best to take on the two corpse puppets as he tried firing his Ridebooker at Doya, who tried taking covered behind some rocks. D-W was a bit frustrated aimed both guns at her…before firing above her.
Doya seemed confused before she noticed rubble on the cliff above her about to fall down. She tried to move out of the way, but it was too late. Soon she was buried in nothing but rubble, much to D-W's relief. That relief, however, was short-lived as D-W then received multiple strikes to this armor by the black blur known as Henter, which eventually forced him out of W's form and back into his default form.
"Damn…" Decade remarked as he got up with his armor smoking from the attacks.
"Kill you! Kill you! Kill you!" Henter chanted in a crazed manner as he charged again. Decade rolled out of the way before Henter saw something. The corpse puppet stopped in his tracks as his looked absolutely shocked.
In front of him was a muscular man that was wearing a mask with some kind of symbol on it. Henter recognizes it from his clan; the Ban Tribe.
"A-Ally…" Henter let his guard down and approached the Ban Tribe member before said member held his shoulder. He looked like he was about to say something, but he then punctured Henter's forehead with a needle.
Blood dripped down from his forehead as the Ban Tribe member reverted back to Chelsea.
"Just as Akame said. The dead bodies that Yatsufusa controls don't have a will of their own. But deep-seated habits and strong emotions remained." Chelsea remarked to the shocked corpse puppet while her partner readied a card. "Unfortunately for you, I'm no survivor of your dead race."
Henter looked shock before turning pissed right when…
"FINAL ATTACK RIDE: D-D-DECADE!"
He turned around as Chelsea took a few steps back as the former saw holographic cards lined up above him with Decade emerging from the last one in a flying sidekick position. The attack came into contact with the forehead, resulting in an explosion that destroyed the corpse puppet completely.
"Nice. There's no coming back from that." Chelsea remarked as Decade looked at her.
"Looks like I owe you this time, Chelsea!" Decade remarked before remembering what happens after this. "Speaking of which, I need to tell you-."
Chelsea then turned the other way and ran back to the forest.
"Chelsea! Wait, it's important!" Decade interjected, but his partner seemed to ignore him.
"I'm sure it can wait after the battle! I'll leave the rest of this battle to you!"
"Wait-!" Decade said before the girl was completely out of view. He would've gone after her, if he didn't notice his comrades trying to face Dark Decade. 'Damn it…I suppose it can wait!'
He ran to where the others were to see Kuuga trying to swordfight with Dark Decade as Leone tried attacking from behind. Dark Decade looked behind and smirked underneath the helmet as he soon side-stepped, allowing Kuuga to take the attack. It cause Kuuga to be embedded into the ground as Leone slightly sweatdropped at her mistake.
"Sorry." She apologized.
"No worries, my armor took most of the blow…just…don't expect me to get up for another 5-10 minutes." Kuuga said, groaning from the pain. Before the blonde girl can help him up, Dark Decade rush at her via shoulder-charge. The attack flew her into a wall while Decade charged next and the two engaged themselves in a swordfight. Soon the two were lock in blades as they glared at each other, well Decade was while his counterpart was scanning him.
"I see you got a little stronger from the worlds you've visited. However, you're still not on par with me." Dark Decade remarked after examining his rival.
"So what? You gonna kill me for it?"
"Don't be ridiculous, I still need you. However, I'm not above slowing you down for a bit." Dark Decade then performed a sweep-kicked, getting Decade on his back. The Dark Rider leader then transformed his sword into a gun before shooting Decade in the chest multiple times, causing him to groan in pain while his armor smoked from the shots.
Dark Decade then walked past him and walked over to where Kurome and Natala fell. The Dark Rider pushed over some of the rubble away. He then immediately took a few steps back when Natala's spear emerged from the rubble in an attempt to stab Dark Decade.
The corpse puppet emerged from the rubble and tried to slash Dark Decade, only to have his attacks dodged. Dark Decade then retaliated by sending a few well-placed punches, especially sending one to the face which sent out a good cracking sound which indicated that Dark Decade might've broken the corpse puppet's jaw.
He grabbed Natal by the jacket and threw him at Doya, who had just emerged from the rubble. Soon Dark Decade turned back to look at the spot where Natala came from to see that it was empty. Meanwhile from behind, Kurome emerged and attempted to stab the Rider from behind, only for said Rider to block the attack.
"You're quite young…" He remarked as their swords were locked in clash.
"What's it to you?" Kurome replied.
"Being a secret police member…that's quite a lot of work and so strenuous, especially for a test subject like you." Dark Decade replied as his attack started to get stronger, starting to push Kurome back. "I know about the drugs you've been put to. The experiments…all of it. And let me tell you, it doesn't get any easier to live that way. I shall free you from this burden."
He then kneed her in the gut, causing her to drop on her knees. He raised his sword, about to deliver the blow when…
"Take this!" Seryu cried out mid-air, as she readied a punch at Dark Decade while Koro landed on the ground. He tried stepping aside when she was too close, but he felt her first impacting his neck. His eyes widened as he stepped aside completely.
"Y-You…" He started as they all heard something sparking and breaking down. "…You broke my voice changer." Dark Decade said…in a female voice.
Everyone looked surprised as a worn out Fuu and Mine managed to get down the cliff.
"Dark Decade's…a girl?" Decade got out in shock as did Kuuga and Fuu.
Meanwhile, Dark Decade glared at Seryu and Koro while Bols grouped up with them, leaving Specter with Wall.
"I'm going to make you pay…" Dark Decade said as she slowly started making her way towards the group.
As she started making his way towards them, Bols used Rubicante to lit Dark decade on fire. While the Dark Rider was on fire, it didn't bother her as her focus was still on Seryu. She simply responded by cutting off the nozzle of the flamethrower Teigu causing it to be useless. She then smacked him in his mask with the pommel of her sword, causing him to down in pain.
Dark Decade then continued her steps towards as the flames died down around her armor. Koro seemed determined to protect its master. In its morphed state, it charged at Dark Decade but the Dark Rider dodged its hits before using a card.
"ATTACK RIDE: ILLUSION!"
Soon two more Dark Decades appeared and while the two copies seemed to be occupying the living Teigu, the real one finally made it to Seryu. Seryu, without Koro's weapons, attempted to punch Dark Decade with a series of rapid attacks. However, Dark Decade caught the first fist and easily ripped it off, much to everyone's surprise.
"You bastard!" Seryu cursed as Dark Decade threw away the severed prosthetic. "Don't think you can best a warrior of just-!"
Dark Decade then grabbed Seryu by the throat and lifted her up a couple of feet, choking her. Seryu tried punching and kicked Dark Decade but the latter's grip was just too strong. She even tried shooting her with the guns installed in her mouth and remaining prosthetic, but it still didn't do any damage.
"I've read up on your profile and I admit…you were an irritation. Justice this, justice that, you were annoyingly more self-righteous than the Kamen Riders. The only reason I've allowed you to live is because you were an amusing irritation. However, that has changed. You are now MY irritation and you wanna know what I do with that kind of problem?"
SNAP!
Dark Decade then snapped her neck in her grip, causing Seryu's head to lob down with her eyes dead and her body going limp.
"I kill them like the pests they are." She then tossed her body away near Koro as the Dark Decade illusions faded.
Koro, in its enraged state, charged at Dark Decade and tackled her into a giant boulder. Dark decade didn't seem hurt and just looked at the Teigu before kicking the mutt off her.
"Alright, I'll play a game of fetch." She then used a card.
"KAMEN RIDE: ARC!"
Dark Decade levitated a couple feet up before a golden seal appeared in front of her and moved towards her. When it was close enough, it broke and the shards formed up on Dark Decade, transforming her into the dark Kiva Rider known as Arc.
"That's a…big guy." Leone remarked as DD-Arc's Ridebooker transformed into the Arc Trident.
"Here, fetch." DD-Arc held the Arc Trident in a reverse grip before throwing it at Koro. It impaled Koro into the abdomen. DD-Arc charged and grabbed the trident before thrusting the sharp end of the trident into a wall, trapping Koro.
Koro whimpered in pain as it tried to get free, only for DD-Arc to impale his claw into Koro's chest. She dug around for a while before pulling out Koro's core. She studied it for a couple seconds before crushing it, effectively killing Koro.
Everyone was shocked at how brutal and effective Dark Decade can be when pissed. Kurome and Bols were in shock at the sudden death of their comrade as well as everyone else.
"She…she killed Seryu and her mutt with ease…" Leon remarked as Decade glared at DD-Arc as she removed her trident and reverted back to her default form.
Bols sweatdropped in nervousness as Kurome too was wary at the sight of not only being outnumbered with a few of their corpse puppets destroyed, but they have also just lost a fellow Jaeger to a single enemy in only a couple of moves. And to add insult to injury, his Rubicante was also damaged pretty badly so he can't fight off either opponent.
Dark Decade then sighed as her trident reverted back to Ridebooker. She looked at the blood on the blade before looking at everyone else.
"So…who's next?"
BANG!
Everyone looked to see Bols take off the fuel tank of Rubicante. He lifted it with both hands and tossed it high in the air.
Decade and a few of the others recognized this when Bols took out a detonator. Quickly, Decade used two cards from his Ridebooker.
"KAMEN RIDE: KABUTO!"
"ATTACK RIDE: CLOCK UP!"
To D-Kabuto, everything seemed to be frozen and he calmly walked over to Bols to see his thumb was directly on the button so taking it wasn't going to be an option.
"Okay, plan B…" He then grabbed Najenda, who was the closest to him, and ran out in a good distance before placing her on top of a cliff.
He then ran back, grabbed Susanoo next and placed him next to her. He then kept repeating the process for everyone else. The last person he was now looking for was Specter, who he saw in the middle of giving a Rider Kick to Wall. D-Kabuto can tell that Wall was about to explode as well. He grabbed Specter and proceeded to continue running before he noticed…DD-Dark Kabuto in front of him.
"I don't have time to fight." D-Kabuto stated.
"Lucky for you, so do I. My killing mood has already been satisfied when I killed that annoying girl and her dog." DD-Dark Kabuto replied. "I just want to know one thing."
"What?"
"My real voice…do you recognize it?" She asked, slightly surprising D-Kabuto.
"No, I don't." D-Kabuto replied.
"I see. Well then, I'll see you around…Decade." DD-Dark Kabuto then summoned a Grey Mirror and took off into it while her rival managed to make it to the top of the cliff where the others are before placing down Specter.
Soon he reverted back to his civilian form and entered normal speed while everyone else was a bit confused.
"How…How did we get here?" Tatsumi wondered as he reverted back as well along with Kuuga.
"I used one of my forms, which had super speed, to bring you guys to a safe place." Nihlus explained before they looked over to see the enormous crater left behind by Rubicante's self-destruction.
Everyone, except Yugi and Fuu, glared at Nihlus for his history for Dark Decade.
"This enemy that uses a similar version of your armor…do you know her?" Najenda asked as she the others were getting over the shock of seemingly getting here in an instant.
"It's complicated, but I didn't know she was a girl until a little while ago." Nihlus explained as he then remembered what was supposed to happen. "I have to go!" He then placed on his belt and took out a card. "Henshin!"
"KAMEN RIDE: KABUTO!"
Nihlus then transformed into D-Kabuto before using another card.
"ATTACK RIDE: CLOCK UP!"
D-Kabuto then took off as a red streak while a Gray Mirror appeared behind Night Raid. They noticed and got on guard before an injured Takeru was thrown out of it. The portal faded as Najenda looked at him.
"Takeru, where were you? Where's Akame?" Najenda asked, noticing that the black-haired girl was nowhere around.
She and the others then noticed Takeru clenching his fist.
"They have her…" He got out as he struggled to get up.
"Huh? What do you mean?" Leone asked back as Takeru managed to stand up.
(With D-Kabuto)
D-Kabuto ran throughout the nearby forest in search of Chelsea. He then spotted her taking cover behind a bush, watching Bols wander around in a clearing. D-Kabuto then returned to normal speed as he then reverted back to Nihlus. He then quickly grabbed Chelsea's shoulder, surprising her but she made sure not to make a sound to attract Bols.
"What are you doing here?" She asked in a whisper before realizing something. "Are you the backup I've asked Lubbock to get?"
"No, listen to me." Nihlus whispered back. "I know what you're thinking of doing and I'm here to warn you; don't do it. It's not going to work."
Chelsea was surprised at Nihlus's statement.
"Bols is right there. I can kill him easily with the right disguise and take on his form. I can use that to kill Kuro-."
"I just said I know what you're thinking. Don't!" Nihlus exclaimed while making sure not to yell and attract attention.
"Then I'll just be extra careful-."
"No, I'm either coming with you or you're going to abandon this plan!"
"I can't bring you. You're going to attract too much attention!"
"Then just abandon this plan! Please!" Nihlus insisted and Chelsea seemed to be thinking about it. "As your partner, you have to trust me."
Chelsea then looked at him.
"I've only known you for a short while. And all that time while you can be someone I can depend on, you're too weird and this is a good opportunity I can't pass up. Forgive me." Chelsea then stuck a tranquilizer needle in Nihlus's arm.
"No, wait-." He then fell down, knocked out. After a short while, Nihlus stirred and woke up as he then remembered what happened. He quickly got up and looked around to see that Chelsea wasn't around.
Nihlus then ran out into the clearing to see Bols's dead body which could only mean one thing.
"Damn it." He placed on his belt again and took out the Kabuto card again. "Henshin!"
"KAMEN RIDE: KABUTO!"
Nihlus then transformed into D-Kabuto with the intention of looking throughout the entire forest in minutes if he's going to save Chelsea. He then used a certain other card.
"ATTACK RIDE: CLOCK UP!"
He then took off as a red blur, praying that he can reach her before it's too late.
(With Chelsea)
Chelsea was hiding among more bushes elsewhere. It took her a few minutes until she finally found her target. She found Kurome wandering around until she finally rested on a tree stump. She watched her put her hand in a bag and take what looked to be treats.
'Is she lost?' Chelsea thought in her head. If Kurome knew the rendevous point, she would've gotten there by now. But there she is, just sitting and wandering, not even worrying about losing track of time. Soon it finally dawned on her. 'No, she's waiting for Bols.'
Of course, she IS lost. Bols was meant to be Kurome's guide for the rendevous. Chelsea soon got closer to Kurome, as an idea hatched in her head.
'This just got much easier for me. I told Nihlus I got this covered...still...I do feel kind of guilty for leaving him out to dry like that.'
Just as she thought that-
SNAP!
'Shit!' Chelsea exclaimed in her head as she accidentally stepped on a twig. This set Kurome off as she heard it. She immediately became startled.
"Wh-Who's there!?" Kurome shouted as Chelsea fumbled to get Gaea Foundation out while still hiding.
'Come on! Come on! Come on!' Chelsea mentally told herself as she tried getting everything ready.
Kurome went to get her blade as started approaching the bushes, just when she was about to cut them down, a silhouette approached her. She prepared herself to strike until the silhouette revealed to be-
"Bols?" Kurome asked as it was indeed the masked giant.
"Oh you're safe. Thank goodness." Bols said as he gave a sigh of relief as did Kurome.
"I thought you were someone else. I'm glad your safe too. That was a massive explosion, I thought you were a goner." Kurome said with sincerity as she placed Yatsufusa down.
"During my time with the Incineration Force, I was trained in heat resistance." Bols explained.
"Oh right. I'm so glad," Kurome said as a bright smile and blush grew on her face.
"But I must apologize, I lost my Teigu in battle," Bols said in embarrassment, scratching the back of his head.
"Don't worry, it's okay." Kurome reassured him. "You're okay, that's all that matters."
Kurome went on to ramble some more while Bols had seemed to convince Kurome underneath the ruse. The ruse put together by Chelsea. She was Bols in disguise thanks to Gaea Foundation. She watched Kurome continue speaking, but she wasn't paying attention, she was more focused on what to do next.
'Looks like it worked.' C-Bols thought to herself. 'Thanks to Tatsumi, I know every Jaegar's personality and tone of voice. It seems I won't have a problem after all.'
C-Bols looked to see Yatsufusa on the ground, which made her contemplate more. 'She has her weapon down...even so...No. I can't attack just yet. According to Akame, Kurome is on some kind of drug. Still...I have no idea what kind of move she'll make when I attack...' C-Bols continued to think. She is now very cautious; any mistake and it could jeopardize her task.
Soon she concluded, 'I'll take it slow, and wait for the right opportunity!'
"Well shall we get going?" Kurome asked politely.
"Y-Yes, we shall." C-Bols answered, as Chelsea got back into character.
"Lead the way." Kurome gestured as C-Bols went in front of her.
"Also...out of curiosity...," C-Bols spouted, "How long were you gonna sit there waiting?"
"As long as it took, because I care about you Bols. You're like a brother to me." Kurome said as she genuinely meant it. But then she grew an embarrassed blush. "That and...I know I would get lost easily without someone to guide me to the rendezvous point..."
(With Decade)
D-Kabuto was searching amongst the huge forest, searching everywhere for Chelsea.
"Chelsea! Chelsea!" D-Kabuto shouted, desperately searching everywhere. "Dammit! I'm running out of time! It just HAD to be this forest!"
(With Chelsea)
"Bols, are you sure this is the right way? We've been walking for half an hour." Kurome asked C-Bols, her feet getting tired.
"I'm certain," C-Bols answered her. "We should be arriving at the city very soon."
"...They'll probably be waiting to ambush us..." Kurome muttered which started to panic Chelsea a little bit.
'Hmmm, what is this...?' Chelsea mentally asked herself as she looked at Kurome, feeling that something is definitely wrong. 'This unnerving feeling I can't quite put my finger on?' Chelsea soon started having second thoughts about this. At first, she was confident of herself that she could get this done, but now that confidence is starting to wane down. 'Maybe Nihlus is right...this does seem too risky for me. Maybe I should retreat for now and finish her off some other time.'
"The captain will probably be returning soon," Kurome said as they continued walking. "Let's be careful until-" Kurome grunted as she soon fell down on her knees, which caught C-Bols by surprise.
"A-Are you okay, Kurome?" C-Bols asked as Kurome began clutching her forehead. Chelsea saw this as she was now starting to get cold feet and began mentally arguing with herself. 'She's down. Now's my chance...but what if this is trap? No. It can't be, she's at a prone position. And can kill her now and get it over with.' Then Chelsea remembered what Nihlus told her. His words began to spread across her thoughts. She had conflicting feelings of what to do at this point.
Kurome groaned in pain, clutching her forehead more until she felt C-Bols's hand rub her back in a soothing way. "A-Are you hurt somewhere?" C-Bols asked as he kept rubbing her back.
"I'll be fine...," Kurome said as she took out her bag of snacks again. "Just as long as I eat my snacks."
"You look like you're in so much pain," C-Bols said in a sympathetic tone. "You poor thing...I know! I'll say a charm that'll help with the pain."
"Hm?" Kurome asked in curiosity. "What kind of charm?" Just as she asked that, she felt something stabbed her neck. Her eyes grew wide as she looked to see smoke emerged and engulf C-Bols, finally revealing the ruse as Chelsea emerged from the smoke, with a stern, yet sympathetic look on her face. Kurome's hand dropped to the ground, releasing the snack that was in her hand.
Chelsea stood up and spoke to Kurome. "There...now you won't be in pain anymore...Goodbye." She watched Kurome fall backwards and listen to her call out for Akame. "Both targets assassinated. Mission accomplished."
Chelsea looked down on Kurome's body as more thoughts continued to roam her head. 'This girl...Her final word was 'Sis'...I know this was unfortunate, but consider it the fate of a killer.'
And as she thought of that, it made think of her past. Her past life as a servant to a cruel viceroy. Just thinking about made her think of her desires. Her desire to climb up the ranks and marry into a wealthy family. Not to mention how her past gave her the Gaea Foundation. She took it out and looked at it. 'I don't know where I would be right now, if I hadn't found this. I know what I'm doing isn't necessarily I path I want to take...but's it's one I NEED to take. I must take this path in order to restore the rest of this cruel, depraved world.'
Chelsea looked back at Kurome one last time. "I'll help make this world a peaceful place soon. And you can be reborn into that world." Chelsea proceeded to turn around and walk away as she started to retreat back to Night Raid's HQ. As she did, she couldn't stop thinking about Nihlus. 'I seriously hope I didn't make him TOO worried about me. He'll probably yell at me for all I know, wouldn't be the first I've been yelled by men before. At least I can reassure him that I got the job-.'
"Say…"
Chelsea's eyes grew wide as she heard that. She turned around to see Kurome, up on her own two feet. She immediately backed away to see Kurome engulf in this strange dark energy. "Wh-What!? How did you-!?"
"That charm didn't work..." Kurome said as Chelsea could hear that her voice was distorted by the dark energy. "It hurts a lot...I'm hurting a lot..."
"How is this possible!?" Chelsea asked in a tone that was of shock and fear. "I'm certain I hit the vital spot!"
Kurome chuckled as she explained as the dark energy kept surrounding her. She also had another snack in her hand. "After Sis left, they created a new drug for me. A powerful one that strengthened my body even more. It's terribly exhausting." Chelsea checked her surroundings as Kurome took Yatsufusa out. "It's full of surprises...If you want to kill me, you'll have to either pulverize my heart or behead me. Or else, I will not die."
Chelsea clenched her teeth as she took out a smoke bomb and threw it to the ground, engulfing the two in smoke. Kurome, whose dark energy had died down, was blinded temporarily by the smoke as Chelsea ran for her life, away from Kurome.
'I never imagined she gave up part of her humanity.' Chelsea said as she kept running as fast as she could. She immediately took out Gaea Foundation again. 'I'll transform quickly and escape!' However, just as she said that-.
BANG!
Chelsea shrieked in pain as she looked to see all of the fingers of her left hand except for her thumb, exploded off of it. But more importantly, she saw Gaea Foundation blown to smithereens. Her Teigu was now destroyed. She's completely vulnerable. While still running for her life, Chelsea looked back to see that it was one of Kurome's last puppets, Doya. And next to Doya was the other one, Natala.
"Damn it..." Chelsea muttered, as more and more fear grew inside of her. She started to run faster, hoping to get as far away from them as possible. But not far enough to her Kurome yell at the top of her lungs.
"SLICE HER UP! NATALA! DOYA!"
'No...no no no no no no no!' Chelsea exclaimed in her head. Her running became more and more frantic with each second. 'I should've listened to Nihlus! He was right! She's too powerful to kill!'
Soon Chelsea escaped the forest and ended up in a field with beautiful flowers, from purple, to blue, to pink. Chelsea continued running and running until Natala appeared in front of her which stopped her in her tracks. Chelsea had a look of fear as she tried turning around...but it was too late. Natala raised his weapon and sliced Chelsea's right arm clean off. She screamed in pure agony as her blood was pouring out from her upper arm. Doya prepared her gun for the final blow. She pulled the trigger, the targeting Chelsea's spine. The bullet was a mere nanosecond from making contact until-.
"CHELSEA!"
A red blur tackled Chelsea to the ground, the bullet hitting Natala instead in the spine. He fell down as the gunshot found completely paralyzed him from the waist down.
Chelsea looked to see D-Kabuto.
"Nihlus…"
"Relax, I got you." D-Kabuto then looked at Doya, who proceeded to fire at the red Rider. "Oh no, you don't!"
"ATTACK RIDE: CLOCK UP!"
Soon everything to D-Kabuto slowed as he ran up to Doya's bullets, catching them. He then ran up to Doya and gave her a series of punches and kicks. He then sent one last upper punch before placing down one final card.
"FINAL ATTACK RIDE: K-K-KABUTO!"
Energy traveled from his belt to his helmet to his right foot. As Doya came back down, D-Kabuto gave a spin kick to the head, which resulted in an explosion that obliterated Doya. D-Kabuto then saw Kurome emerging from the forest so D-Kabuto picked up the wounded Chelsea and used the Clock Up card once again.
"ATTACK RIDE: CLOCK UP!"
They took off as a red blur, leaving a confused and frustrated Kurome with a crippled Natala.
(Later at Night Raid HQ)
D-Kabuto stopped at the front door and kicked it open as he reverted back to Nihlus.
"It's okay, Chelsea! We're home! I'm gonna get you help!"
"Nihlus…I'm so sorry…I should've listened…" Chelsea said weakly from the loss of blood. Nihlus looked to see that she's losing a lot of blood as her stub bled a lot on his right hand, her left hand bleeding on her vest which spread to his shirt as well.
"Don't you say that, it doesn't matter now! What matters is that you don't die on me!" Nihlus then ran down the halls, looking for Takeru's medical room. Najenda and Leone's eyes widened when they saw this and immediately followed to help.
Nihlus went up to the door and Najenda knocked for him.
"Go away!" Takeru said, sounding upset.
"Takeru, you have to help us! I have Chelsea with me! She's bleeding out!" Nihlus shouted and Takeru opened the door.
"What-?" The medic then noticed Chelsea before she passed out from the blood loss, snapping him out of his depression. "Holy-Come on!"
They soon followed him to his operating room.
"Lay her down on the operating table!" Takeru commanded and Nihlus nodded as he laid the unconscious bleeding girl there.
Takeru then looked at the two women.
"Leone, I need you to hold her down! Boss, find me some morphine! There should be some in the cabinet on your right! I need to cauterize the wound!" Takeru yelled as the two women nodded and got to work.
"What about me? What can I do?" Nihlus asked with extreme worry.
"You've done all you can, Nihlus. I need you to wait outside. We have Boss's spare prosthetics. I'm going to attach those to her." Takeru explained and Nihlus hesitantly nodded. He took one last look at the unconscious girl before closing the door, silently praying that she'll make it.
(With Argos)
In a wagon in the middle of the forest, a bound and gagged Akame tried getting breaking out while Argos amusingly watched with her sheathed katana in his hand. Soon Dark Decade appeared with her broken voice changer in hand.
"So, I take it the battle went well?" Argos asked.
"An arrogant justice skank destroyed my voice changer." Dark Decade replied. "Luckily for me, Decade hasn't recognized my true voice."
"So you don't need to repair it?"
"No." Dark Decade then looked at Akame. "And what are you doing with her?"
"I challenged Ghost to a duel with her in his home village. I gave him over a day to prepare."
"What makes you think he'll come for her?"
"I saw these two interact during our battle today. He cares about her, more so than he leads on. Killing her in front of him will be the glorious and savory."
"Killing a potential loved interested. You really are making this personal for Ghost." Dark Decade remarked.
"All I wanted was to come back and reclaim my life, Ghost made sure that wouldn't happened. Even with my resurrection at your hands, I don't feel as complete as I was before and I doubt I ever will. I'm going to share my pain with Ghost, no matter who's under the mask…"
AN: And that has to be my longest chapter yet. At least I finally managed to write all this before the start of school, because my writing life is going to be back focused on this. But I have a lighter schedule, so maybe things won't be that bad. Anyways, I'd like to thank users for helping me with this such as SonicHeroXD and Toa Solaric. You guys are awesome!
