Have you ever had that feeling where nothing in your world made sense? As in, almost everything related to your world was poorly-thought or flimsily-designed? Jaune had that thought when every glasses suddenly shattered followed by a localized typhoon and rainstorm that lasted about three minutes.
Then, when he blinked, every damages were fixed as if they were never broken in the first place.
The whole sequences after that incident was a blur.
Principal Ozpin talked about things that he didn't care about, hunters and continents and beacons and blah blah blah he didn't care one bit about those. They were things he had already studied beforehand and came to the conclusion that the world shouldn't work as they should based on the information they knew.
A thought came to him, something about becoming a landlord, before those thoughts went away somewhere else as he was now attending an inteoductory lecture for grimms.
He stared at the board, unsure of whether to take the class seriously or not, but he was taking notes.
As he reached for his pencil to his right, his hand brushed against a soft object.
It was a left hand of a girl.
She looked absolutely stunning, but as an omega, he instinctively knew this girl was the mythical beasts known as theā¦
Sigmas.
She had a brilliant red hair, the kind of deep red which exuded the feeling of a bright autumn. Her mannerism was perky, tomboyish but adorable. A few freckles were on her face, but they only accentuated the beauty of her sportsman, ace warrior of the tribe, look. Her bright emerald eyes were locked with Jaune's pair of blues, and at that moment something close to a chemistry was born between them.
The sigma girl looked at Jaune, interests welling inside her, and calmly said something in a pleasant voice.
"I'm sorry, was this pencil yours?" she rolled the pencil with the tip of her ring finger, before sliding a similar-looking pencil. "Or maybe this was yours?"
She let out a giggle, clearly enjoying her time while the professor was talking about something important in-front of the class. It was obviously less important than the moment that they were having right now anyway.
Just in case it wasn't obvious, Jaune looked to the front and found the white-haired chick from before killing a boar grimm.
He could do what she just did easily.
"I'm Pyrrha, Pyrrha Nikos," the girl said. "What's your name?"
Jaune, as smoothly as breathing out air, replied. "Jaune. Jaune D'arc. Pleasure to meet you, Pyrrha."
"First name basis? You're pretty bold, Jaune."
Jaune smiled with confidence. "And you're beautiful, Pyrrha."
The two of them silently chuckled, playfully playing around while Weiss looked at him from in-front of the class with absolute contempt.
He noticed, of course, but the sigma aura which Pyrrha exuded made Jaune a pseudo-sigma. Even as a pseudo, a sigma should always adhere to his grindset, and one of that is to ignore a lesser woman for a better one.
And he knew that talking with a friend and opening his heart to a good friend would be better than meeting the spite of a beta, albeit pretty, chick. Pyrrha Nikos was just the right friend who he needed right now.
Ruby was there too, not caring one bit about the lessons because she just didn't care that much about things that her uncle had taught her for a bajillion dillion rubillion times before as she scooted near a girl in all black attire.
She was wondering about that bow the black-haired student wore, which the black-haired student casually dismissed.
Back to Jaune, his hand went closer to Pyrrha's, and his pinky touched the tip of hers.
His blue eyes gazed at Pyrrha's greens, their bonds once again established.
"Do you... want to be friends?" Jaune asked, a little bit sheepish. For what came after next, he couldn't bear looking straight toward the sigma. "It would be nice if we could be one."
Unsure of what to say, the sigma showed an innocent smile toward the omega. "Jaune, I... I would like that very much, us together that is, thank you."
"Glad to be friends, Pyrrha."
Though he missed her point, the sigma was undeterred. "Glad to be friends, Jaune."
There was supposed to be an explosion here, followed by an attack helicopter crashing and a thousand grimms shooting laser beams from their eyes into Beacon, but it didn't come because an omega and a sigma was having a good time attending a normal class as just friends.
Nothing can interrupt their friendship.
