On the coast of Wano, four warships stood side by side. This was the very first time the territory of Kaido was invaded by the marines and it should be a moment of celebration, instead, they all felt heavy hearts as they remember the scene they just saw.

The ship where Admiral Akainu was traveling was hit from seemingly nowhere, and if that was not enough then a giant rock the size of a small mountain was flung down as well right at where the marines with Observation Haki saw that Admiral Akainu was using Gepo to fly up. This was a coordinated attack designed to stop Akainu from stepping foot into Wano, and some now feared for the Admiral's safety.

Akainu was a Devil Fruit user, after all. If he fell into the sea then he would certainly not be well.

"Do not worry." Vergo said, drawing the attention of the soldiers. "Admiral Akainu is strong, something like that won't take him down. We just need to wait a while and he will find a way to come up here."

The soldiers started murmuring amongst each other, but Onigumo spoke up.

"Look ahead, it seems like the Beasts Pirates are ready to go."

At that, everyone turned to look and they saw how there were plenty of Beasts Pirates, at least twice the marines' numbers, waiting at the shore.

The three vice admirals saw this with serious faces. The original plan was for them to go and destroy Onigashima right away with the firepower of Akainu, but with him out the other Vice Admirals were not so sure about success, especially if they might be shot again by that giant laser.

Doberman thought for a while and turned to Onigumo.

"Onigumo, our intel regarding Wano shows that this place only has a single region that can produce food. Since we lack the firepower to destroy Onigashima by ourselves, you go to that region that can produce food and burn it all to the ground."

Onigumo took a large gulp of smoke from his cigar and after exhaling spoke.

"Starving the pirates down like this is not a bad plan at all. We can set up blockages to help starve them out later as well." Onigumo said, a small, barely imperceptible smirk on his face.

A simple soldier who was extremely righteous and joined the marines for justice couldn't help but speak up as he heard his superiors discuss such a plan.

"But sir, if we do that they wouldn't the innocent civilians of the nation star-"

BANG

The soldier crouched down to the floor, a large hole in his torso as he looked up at the gun which shot him, Onigumo looked from the other side of the gun with an impassive expression.

"The lives of civilians of unaffiliated countries, who cares how many we sacrifice? If we can weaken the beasts' Pirates then their deaths do not matter whatsoever. Justice of the world government is absolute, nothing is more important than that. This is what it means to be a true marine, killing all pirates no matter the cost." Onigmuo said and the soldier bleed out with a betrayed expression.

Onigumo just ignored this look, he was used to weaklings who could not see the righteousness of their true cause. Besides, he did not need to care about that corpse, having long since trained some subordinates on how to deal with such traitors to true absolute justice.

Just feed it to the fishes.

Vergo and Doberman did not care at all, this sort of small soldier means nothing in the end, and as paragons of absolute justice (or a spy, in the case of Vergo), killing traitors to their great cause was just the basics.

"Let's go then, man." Onigumo said, his ship moving along towards the northern region of Yo. The beasts pirates saw this from the border of the mainland and felt troubled over what they should do, but Black Maria spoke out at this time.

"Call Markus and Fourtricks, tell them to go after the ship and watch over it to see where they are planning to attack. Also, inform the girls in my Belle Mortal ship to come out as well, that ship must be planning to attack Wano from another place."

Everyone around nodded before the Marine got in position to start the fighting.

It was only thanks to Markus being cautious enough, hitting Akainu from a safe distance before moving further back, as well as Fourtricks's speed when flying thanks to his top-tier normal zoan, that allowed them to escape safely from Susanoo's attack.

'Fuck, can't stay close to monsters when they fight or I might die by accident! I am just a weak scientist, after all.' Markus complained to himself. His strength was unlike those of the powerhouses in this world, it came from his weapons and his mind!

Markus body was still rather weak when compared to the monsters in New World and if he was hit by a bolder that large he would become paste right away.

At least this was enough to make sure that Akainu would not be able to come back any time soon. Until a new warship come to pick him up, or one of the ships in Wano came down, there would be no way for Akainu to enter Wano or do much of anything.

Akainu may be the most destructive and strongest of the three Admirals, if it is a straight fight then even if it is a Four Emperors he would not need to fear at all, but his flaws were also rather obvious for those who could look well.

If the one invading now was either Aokiji or Kizaru, or even the future Admirals, then this plan would not work. Only if it was Akainu, who could not simply fly or create a pathway, would make so that this plan can work.

Flying up to where the fight was happening, Markus saw the first impact between the Beasts Pirates and the Marines down there.

With a smirk, Markus saw a Beasts Pirates member who had his skin turning bright red that was at the forefront of the fighting. Clearly, he was one of those who took the Extremist Formula, and Markus was excited as he saw the man's first move be a direct punch against the sword slash from a marine who seems to hold the position of captain.

The two met in a stalemate but not even two seconds later the marine had to drop the sword from the excess heat, the opening being enough for the beast pirates to smack him in the head, blood exploding in all directions. Even when a bullet hit the hundred beast pirate it only bounced off, causing a small wound that healed instantly.

Markus nodded at this, the extremist user was like a monster amongst sheep, killing everyone he see without an issue.

It was then that someone came, sword slashing as he sneaks attacked using Soru, cutting off one of the arms of the Extremist user. That, however, means little as not even five seconds later the arm grew right back up.

"What the hell is this?" Fourtricks, who likes to pretend to be cool, said in astonishment. Especially when a dozen more such scenes appeared all over the beach the two sides were fighting.

"That is a prototype of my newest formula. Shame I had to use it right away instead of testing on the prisoners in Udon, but this is good enough I suppose." Markus said with a tired expression.

Fourtricks looked at the man on top of his back and felt once more how much of a monster he was.

"Well, we may as well take advantage we are here." Markus said, pointing his sniper weapon down, and began shooting in fast succession at unsuspecting marines who were around captain or commodore level.

This level of marine should not have Observation Haki and, on a battlefield like this, would not be able to evade a shot from a sniper up in the sky. Taking them out also cuts off the chain of command with the lower-end soldiers, sowing further chaos down there.

Not like the Vice-Admirals could do anything since both Dobberman and Vergo were currently entangled with Black Maria and Kyoshiro with no chance to do much of anything else.

Black Maria always had the strength comparable to that of a Vice Admiral, but with the Teigu she could safely face two Vice Admirals without losing ground at all, not that she would do such a troublesome thing and instead simply left the stronger of the two vice admirals to Kyoshiro. She could just use this fight against Dobberman to further her mastery over this Teigu given to her, which she was simply loving.

These threads that were so easy to manipulate could be used in so many kinky ways, she could barely wait to go back to Onigashima and try them out on some of her pets!

As for Kyoshiro, he was having a much harder time since Vergo was most certainly an elite amongst Vice Admirals being much stronger than Dobberman. Kyoshiro had trouble in dealing with Vergo as their level was extremely close, their fight being much more fierce with fists and swords colliding over and over. As for Vergo, he was taking advantage of this fight to analyze the fighting of Kyoshiro and especially the way he uses his Armament Haki.

As an Armament Haki expert, Vergo's development in this field was top-notch, just based on armament haki and his Hokushiki he was already able to easily crush most vice admirals, if he was not so strong he'd never be the captain of G5, one of the few marine bases in New World where the strongest pirates gather. He was only stuck in his current level of strength because he lacks the right stimuli and opponent to reach the level of internal damage with his armament haki. The samurai in front of him who had the training methods of Wano, which could easily train experts in that area, was the ideal enemy.

Markus in the distance nodded at that, the stronger Vergo became the better for the Beasts Pirates, as long as they could properly tie the Doflamingo Family to the Beasts Pirates. If Vergo became stronger, wouldn't it be normal for him to obtain more information about the Marine's actions?

That was a good gain for the Beasts Pirates for sure!

BURU BURU BURU BURU

BURU BURU BURU BURU

BURU BURU BURU KACHA

Taking out this dendenmushi, Markus who was still in the air shooting questions.

"What is it? Can't you see I am enjoying a fun game right now and YEAH, right in the balls. Hehe, hope you already had a kid or never intended to continue for the next generation, sucker." Markus said, having started to basically play a bit after a while of shooting down enemies.

If it was an enemy, Markus saw no reason to not hurt or kill it.

"Master Hokusai, one of the marine ships is going to try and port somewhere else. Lady Black Maria has said she can handle things here and asked you to go after that ship." A voice from one of the officers under Black Maria said and Markus looked slightly frustrated.

"Great, just what we did not need. If the Navy can infiltrate Wano freely then they might cause damage to us or join with the samurais still loyal to that dead idiot to cause all sorts of problems for us. And that is the least of the possible troubles. FUCK!" turning off that call, Markus took a simple phone that let him talk directly with Susanoo and said. "Susanoo, you will stay here as insurance in case Akainu somehow can manage to get in the island. Tell Yamato to go to my carriage as well as Baby 5 and ten waiters to come. I can't handle a full ship by myself and we are going after it."

"Very well." Susanoo said easily, but he hesitated a bit before saying. "Master, Yamato has already gone after the marine ship in her beast form."

Markus's forehead had veins popping out as he nearly cursed at that. She was strong, sure, but she was not sure to be at the level of a strong vice admiral. Going alone for her would be far too risky, but she was too headstrong about this in the end.

Yamato was running after the image in the distance of the warship. Having been born with a physique no lesser than that of her father and now having eaten a powerful Mythical Beast Zoan, Yamato's stamina and speed were top-notch in this sea. Even if the other side was a warship, she could at least keep up on the distance for a while when she uses her beast form.

'If I were Oden, I wouldn't even need a beast form. I must become Oden!' Yamato thought to herself once more as she tried her best to follow that ship.

Ultimately, Yamato's only spiritual support for many years was the diary of Oden, as such she has long since seen Oden as something almost akin to an omnipotent god. Even if Oden would not be able to do something, in her mind he would be able to do it easily.

She kept running at full speed, and after over an hour of running, she lost track of the ship but kept running to find it. As long as the ship stopped somewhere she would be able to see its location eventually.

Personally, Yamato was not too worried about the Navy. She has read the diary of Oden and in it, the Navy was never really a threat, there were even many interesting people and they were just not killed in sight by Oden and the crew with them because the Whitebeard and Roger pirates could not be bothered by fighting them. The only strong ones were people like Sengoku, Zephyr, and Garp who would never do bad things to civilians and only target pirates.

In her perspective, the Navy should not be that big of a deal at all, and if they harmed the Beasts Pirates or not did not matter to her. If anything she would welcome them becoming weak enough to be kicked out of Wano!

BOOM

BOOM

BOOM

Yamato's eyes widened as her ears picked up the sound of explosions in the distance. Moving fast, Yamato reached the peak of a tall mountain and, in the distance, she could barely see, an extremely lush area where, even from far away, it was clear that much food was planted and animals grazed, the place was now burning as shells hit it constantly.

She may have never left Onigashima before, but she has heard of how Wano only had a single place to produce all the food. That place's food is what fed the Beasts Pirates and the Flower Capital, the leftovers being what fed the rest of the population.

Sure, if this place burns the Beasts Pirates would suffer, but so would the Wano citizens! Yamato knows her father well, he'd never let his tropes starve for the sake of the civilians in Wano.

"Why is the Navy doing this? Shouldn't they be honorable warriors who never harm civilians and fight head-on?" Yamato questions herself, remembering Oden's diary mentioning this.

However, that was not important. Maybe they just didn't know any better about the situation of Wano. Yes, that must be it, she convinced herself of this.

Regardless, she should go and face them to stop them from damaging that area.

Due to the long distance and the fact that the warship fighting was one of the strongest models in the Navy, by the time Yamato reached it plenty of the land was damaged and burned. Yamato's eyes grew wide as she saw far away the constant damage being thrown in, her mood only further fluctuating when she saw some navy personnel getting in by boats on the areas not yet affected by the shelling.

These marines were all of the 'hawks' faction, people who saw the killing of pirates as the most important and that did not care if there were civilians on the crossfire. With these sorts of people here, it was only natural that as they dropped in this place they did not differentiate between the beast pirates who were guarding and managing this place or the Wano citizens who worked in the area.

"Kill them all, evil must be exterminated!"

"Exterminate evil!"

"Kill all pirates and their allies!"

"For justice!"

These and such shouts could be heard everywhere as the marines slaughtered everyone in front of them. It did not make any difference for them who they kill, these are all pirates or those working for pirates.

Their death was all for justice, so they had to die.

As for the citizens, they were trying their best to run while the few beast pirates around fought back, but it was not going well and by the time Yamato got to the ship of the marines at least five hundred civilians and forty Beast Pirates were killed. It was a scene of carnage that Yamato has never seen, crueler than the worse she has ever seen her father do. The worse was how mechanical the marines were, as if what they were doing in killing everyone and everything in sight was nothing at all.

"Stop this!" Yamato yelled and her conqueror's haki washed over everyone present. Due to her refusal to accept any form of proper training from her father, only having learned some rather basic stuff due to him forcing her to listen as he did his best to teach her, her Conqueror Haki was strong but ultimately uncontrolled and hit everyone in the area without distinguishing.

Be it pirates, civilians, or marines, all began to fall.

On the warship, Onigumo who was smoking a cigar as he watched the carnage, frowned slightly.

Onigumo saw Yamato in her beast form, his eyes narrowing as he took out his knives and jumped off the boat and using Soru and Moon Walk, reached Yamato at the fastest speed with a sword aimed straight at her.

Yamato's observation haki warned her of the sudden attack, and her jumping out of the way just in time as she saw the vice admiral in front of her.

"Sneak attacking and killing off civilians who are just around, shouldn't you navy be better than this?" Yamato questions and Onigumo snorts at that.

"We are dealing with mere pirates and their associates, who cares how we end them as long as we do?" Onigumo said before speaking loudly for everyone to hear. "Soldiers with guns and half the canons, aim at this beast and kill it. The rest, continue destroying this place in the name of justice!"

"JUSTICE!" All soldiers shouted and Yamato saw when one of the marines lunged at a woman who was clearly a civilian, thin to the point of being nearly skeletal, and who had fallen while running away.

"No!" Yamato yelled, trying to reach her, but dozens upon dozens of bullets rained down on Yamato who had no choice but to try and avoid the shots, her eyes keep turning to the marine who swung down his sword, decapitating the defenseless woman.

Yamato's eyes turned red and she tried to release an ice shard, she was not really sure how well she could do it but it was worth a shot... except she did not have the time to do this as canon balls exploded near her and sent her flying.

This was the first war Yamato ever experienced, and with her mind in disarray, since reality was not like what she imagined, things were not looking good at all.

As for Onigumo, he just stood back and watched as Yamato was shot over and over again, he had no hurry of killing her since anyone with conquerors was destined to be strong. Why not weaken the enemy first before jumping in? She was just a pirate anyways, who cares how she dies as long as her head ends on a spike?
