The storm was becoming worse over the last three months. The wind was starting to pick up, making a distinct whistling sound to one's ears. The sky that was above the earth was pitch black, showing little to no light above.

Lone black timber wolf, Luna, was finding it hard to move through. Since her birth pack, she had not seen another living wolf. While running in the storm, she caught a sweet scent that she never smelled before.

It was hard to ignore therefore, she decided to follow it. It didn't take her long to find where that amazing fragrance was coming from. It was coming from a domed city that was sitting in the middle of nowhere.

Her notched wolf ears rose up in interest. It was definitely coming from that dome. Her attention was suddenly broken from the dome by the sound of a gun cocking.

Her wolf head jerks to the right and she is faced with a hunter with his bluish black dog that wore a metal spiked collar and had blue eyes. The hunter had his shotgun aimed directly at her. Surprisingly, she wasn't afraid of him.

The large black she-wolf then takes off running in the direction of the dome, leaving her wolf paw prints behind. The blue-black dog barked at Luna and ran after her. However, she stopped when she approached the paw prints that Luna had left behind.

The hunter walked up to where his dog was and inspected the paw prints. There was no doubt about it; it was another one of those wolves. He had already shot another wolf; a white wolf that was here not too long before.

When Luna made it to the dome, she knew straight away that she couldn't show her wolf form to the humans. It would draw too much attention. She knew very well that the humans are scared of wolves. It's been that way for a long time.

She had caucasion skin, green eyes, black hair that's tied to a lazy ponytail with some loose bangs covering her face. She wore a black shirt, light blue jean jacket, dark blue jeans that are ripped at the knees, black and white converse shoes in her human form. Her wolf form was black with a dark grey mask, notched ears, and gold eyes.

She walked by the humans without notifying them. A couple of small dogs that were with their humans had hid behind them because they could see Luna for what she really was. Luna had seen this happen before but she doesn't pay any mind to it.

She sniffed the air and the scent was a bit stronger than it was outside of the city. There was also the scent of another wolf; it was something she hadn't seen in over three months. She turns to an alleyway so she'd get out of the human's scent.

She thought she was alone but the form of a tan mexican furred wolf that had a brown leather collar around his neck with a scarlet X on the metal plate, a light tan mask, and dark hazel eyes proved her otherwise. But he was sitting on some steps in his human form with his arms behind his head as if he was relaxing. He wore a mustard yellow short-sleeve jacket over a long dark grey sweatshirt, pale grey pants with stripes on the side of the leg, dark grey sneakers, shaggy dirty blonde hair, dark amber eyes, and caucasion skin like Luna.

He heard some light footsteps approaching him. He opened one eye and saw the petite bodied she-wolf standing no less than 10 feet away from him. The sight of her made him attracted towards her almost immediately.

He got to his feet and gave her a smug grin towards the she-wolf, the kind that she didn't like very much. "Well hello there. I never thought I'd ever see such a pretty woman such as you." he said, making it obvious that he was flirting with her. Luna rolled her green eyes and crossed her arms, making it clear that she doesn't like being flirted with.

"Try anything and I will kick your ass. Don't think I won't." Luna tells him, "Man, first wolf I see in three months and the first thing they do is flirt with me." He chuckled cheekily while scratching the back of his head. "Sorry, it's a force of habit I've got." he replies.

"Yeah, I can definitely tell. Do you do that with all the women you met?" Luna says sarcastically. He blushed a bit. "You got me. I'm Hige." he says, pointing at himself by using his thumbs.

"Luna." Luna introduces herself, seeing that this wolf isn't as bad as he seems. "Well, Luna, it looks like I met my new best friend." Hige says, giving the black she-wolf a friendly smile. "Likewise." Luna replied, smiling back at him.

"Say, do you want to get something to eat? You gotta be hungry." Hige offered. "Okay, fine. As long as you don't pull anything, we'll be fine." Luna replied, accepting the offer. She hadn't had a decent meal for a few days so she figured it'd be the perfect opportunity to get some food.

Hige, however, knew just how to get food in the city. He was used to it. He was usually the laid back type of guy that usually went with the flow of things. Like Luna, he hadn't seen another wolf for many months so this was a first for all of them.

The two wolves walked together through the dingy city to find some food. While doing so, the two started to string up a conversation. "So, where'd you come from?" Hige asked, his hands in his hoodie pockets. "Up the mountains in the north. Why do you ask?" Luna replied.

"Oh, it's just, you look like the type of girl who's a traveler." Hige retorted. He wasn't wrong about that one. She had been on the road pretty much her entire life. "Yeah. I am a traveler." Luna replied.

"Why come here to this city? It's not that exciting other than the soldiers picking up one idiot after another." Hige said. "I usually just pass through each city as it comes. However, this one is different. There's this odd but sweet scent in the air. I couldn't help but follow it." Luna replied, sniffing the air once again.

"Oh, you too?" Hige asked. "Is that why you're here?" Luna asked, looking up at him. "Eh, more or less." Hige sighed. The two wolves continue to walk down the city in hopes of finding some food.

(Kiba, Tsume)

Meanwhile, a group of people were looking inside a hollowed tree. There was something inside of it that seemed to attract them. "What is it?" a semi-deep male voice said, walking up to the group of curious people.

He was tall, had tannish skin, silver hair that was a buzz cut and had a skinny rat tail coming out of the back of his head. He wore tight leather and had a large X shaped scar on his chest. He also had yellow green eyes.

"It's a dog; but I don't think it's gonna make it." one of the people replies, turning to look at the man. He looked closer inside of the hollowed tree and let out a shocked gasp, his eyes widening. Laying inside of the tree was an injured pure white wolf that had a cut on his left hind leg.

"Maybe it's worth something." another human said. "Maybe we can eat it." another suggested. "I've never seen a dog this size; this sucker's huge!" the first human said. "That is not a dog." the silver haired guy corrects them, knowing something that they didn't.

Everyone gasped and looked back at him. "Pull it out." he tells them. The two men who were at the entrance looked at one another nervously before looking at the dormant white wolf. "Okay." the man with the sunglasses says, reaching out towards the wolf.

Immediately, the white wolf's bright yellow eyes shot open before the man could make contact with him. He jumped out of the tree, his wolf teeth bared, saliva flying out of his jaws. He snarled loudly as he jumped on the guy with the sunglasses, making him fall over with blood flying out.

The guy with the baseball cap aimed a crossbow at the white wolf and fired an arrow at him but it was too late. The white wolf lunged at the man and dug his wolf fangs into his throat as deep as he could, making the man's blood fly out of the wounds. Everyone watched in horror as the wolf killed their friend in slow motion.

The youngest boy of the group watched with his jaw dropped as the white wolf stared at him with malice in his yellow eyes. The white wolf crunched down on the man's throat once more before releasing him, the man's blood dripping from the wolf's fangs. He stared at the boy, who was shaking vividly while hyperventilating.

Then, the silver haired guy pushed the boy out of the way so he could look at the wolf. He grinned at him and said, "How interesting." The white wolf snarled quietly and studied the guy carefully.

Then, the silver haired guy backed up and took off running away from the tree with the white wolf chasing behind him. The human boy watched as the white wolf chased after his friend therefore, he decided to go after him.

The white wolf had chased the silver haired guy atop a broken structure that was once a building. He turns to face the white wolf, who was no more than 5 feet away from him. The white wolf narrowed his yellow eyes and saw that the silver haired guy was actually a wolf too, a grey wolf with a light grey mask, and yellow green eyes.

"That was quite a stunt." he says to the white wolf. "I was only protecting myself. That's all." the white wolf responded, growling softly with his wolf tail raised. "Don't be so quick to kill." the grey wolf implemented.

"What's wrong with killing?" the white wolf snarled. "I don't know what mountain you came down from; but you're in the city now. There are rules here you have to abide by." the grey wolf said. "Rules? Is running around the city with a pack of morons part of the rules?" the white wolf scowled, amping up his snarling a bit.

The grey wolf looked away with his eyes shut. "I'm just using them." he blandly says. "Your rules stink like this city. What's the point of living if it means throwing away your pride?!" the white wolf growled, baring his wolf fangs even more. "You got a big mouth for someone half dead!" the grey wolf snarled, his wolf fangs showing.

The two wolves collided with one another, making the other bleed. There was the sound of growling and biting from the opponent. They snapped at one another. From the stairs below, the grey wolf's friend could hear the snarling and rushed upstairs.

In making it, he didn't see two wolves fighting on the roof. He saw the white wolf attacking the grey wolf, who was holding him back in his human form with his knife being held in the white wolf's jaws. He then kicks the wounded wolf in the leg where he was injured, causing the white wolf to jolt back from the pain.

The grey wolf used his body weight to push him off. The boy then rushed over with his weapon raised in the air and started to swing at the white wolf to get him away from the grey wolf. The white wolf limped away from the grey wolf and the two locked eyes for a moment before the white wolf jumped down from the building so that he was out of sight.

(Kiba)

The white wolf was quite aways from where he encountered the grey wolf. After hearing what he was doing with the humans as well as throwing away his wolf form, it repulsed him. He didn't believe in hiding oneself in order to protect themselves from the humans.

He had finished drinking water from a nearby broken fountain and limped into the most run down part of this city where a bunch of homeless people resided. He was aimlessly limping by the humans, who were watching him. He paid no mind to them though.

Right now, he was following that same scent that Luna had been following. It seemed to attract him the most. Suddenly, he hears a gun cocking behind him. With a snarl, he looked behind him to see that same hunter with his bluish black dog with the metal spiked collar and his rifle pointed at him.

The bluish-black dog barked at him and charged at him. The white wolf turned to face the threat with his wolf fangs bared. As the dog lunged at him, the hunter took a shot at him. He was shot in the shoulder, causing him to fall onto his side. It didn't take him long until he passed out from the wound.

(Luna, Hige)

The gunshot had rung throughout the city. It was loud in the two wolves ears. Luna looked behind her in the direction of the gunshot sound. "Holy shit, did you hear that?" she asked, looking at Hige with a slightly concerned expression on her face.

"Yeah. It seems like they picked up another idiot." Hige replied, listening carefully, "How about we go check out who they got?" Luna raised her eyebrows when he said this. "Hige, are you nuts? What if the humans see us?" she asked, lowering her voice.

"Oh, come on. Where's your sense of adventure?" he replied, starting to walk forward. Luna sighed and decided to go with him. "Jeez… he's gonna get himself caught." Luna thought, jogging behind him, "Wait up for me!"

The two wolves make it to a tall building that was inhabited with various scientists that were working on a project. They pay no mind to the two strangers who just happened to walk in without those suits on. As they walked in the corridor, Luna saw that their wolf shadows were perfectly aligned with their human disguises.

They walked into a room with a cage that held that same white wolf in it. They walked in the room in their wolf forms and walked up to the cage. Luna's wolf ears raised up all the way as she observed this wolf, who, after being shot by that hunter, was laying on his side with blood coming out of the wound.

The white wolf opens his golden eyes and sees the dun mexican wolf and the black timber she-wolf standing in front of the cage.

Luna and Hige stand in front of the cage in their human forms as two people walk into the same room. It was a man and a woman.

The woman had shoulder-length blonde hair that is tied to a ponytail with a few strands hanging loose. Her eyes were an icy-blue and she wore fuchsia-pink lipstick. She wore a grey suit with a skirt with a royal-purple blouse underneath. She looked like one of the scientists that worked there.

The man was a detective with short, blonde hair. He's shaven-clean and generally dressed nicely in a detective outfit. He had pale green eyes.

The man saw the two young adults standing in front of the cage that held the white wolf inside of it, looking inside of it. "Hey! What are you two doing here? What department are you both in?" the man asked. The two wolves freeze up for a moment.

"Just follow my lead." Hige whispered to Luna. She gave a slight nod as they looked back at the two humans. "Oh, sorry about that. We were just looking for cleaning supplies." Hige said, scratching the back of his head from embarrassment. "Yeah. Yeah, we just got lost." Luna fibbed.

"Maintenance, huh? Just take a left and you two should find them there." the man said, pointing to the left. They went in that direction but stopped a couple of feet from the room where the white wolf was being held. Luna and Hige kept their backs pressed to the wall and listened in on the two humans.

"So, do you really think that it's a wolf like Yaiden proclaimed?" the man asked the woman, who was leaning down a bit to get a good look at the wolf. "I don't know. I've never seen one before. But if it's really a wolf, it could be the reason of Cheza's drastic change." the woman replied.

Luna's eyebrow furrowed at the name, Cheza. Up to this point in her life, she's never heard of that name. She is familiar with the stories of Paradise because of her grandparents but neither one of them mentioned Cheza.

"Who's that?" Luna asked in a whisper. "From what I've heard in this town, she's the flower maiden created from lunar flowers. The nobles made her from lost alchemy and boom, she's here." Hige answered her, keeping his voice low so the humans wouldn't hear them.

After a bite longer, the two humans had left the room. Luna peeked around the corner to see that the room was now vacant. "They left." she said, walking out of the hallway.

Hige follows the black she-wolf to the cage and the two of them kneel down to look at the white wolf again. Luna sat down with one leg propped up and her arm resting atop her knee while the other hand held her up. Hige knelt down, his arms resting on his legs.

"Damn, I gotta say you really screwed up." Hige chuckled. No reaction. "You gotta be so blind sighted to get caught by the humans." Luna scoffed, "Can't say I've seen one of our own kind get captured before but this is priceless." The white wolf opened his wolf eyes again to look at the duo.

"I can leave when I feel like it." he distantly says. "Really? Then, why're you in there?" Hige asked him, his head resting in his hand. "I just… needed a place to rest is all." the white wolf replied tiredly.

Luna grinned at the condition that he was in. This wolf was laying in a small pool of his own blood so finding a place to rest would be an understatement. "I'm Hige and this she-wolf's Luna." Hige introduced for the both of them.

The white wolf didn't seem all that interested in a conversation let alone learning their names. "So why are you two in here?" the white wolf asked them. Luna shrugged her shoulders at the question.

"Eh… he got curious and decided to come here to see who was connected to that gunshot. I just followed him." Luna replied. "Hey, now. It seemed like something interesting was gonna happen so I followed my nose." Hige said in a chilled way.

The white wolf took note of the two wolves not being in their true forms. Needless to say, he didn't like that they were doing it. "Those aren't your true forms. Why do you two hide yourselves?" he asked them.

"Isn't it obvious? It's so we don't end up where you're at. I do it to protect myself around the humans. It's what I do when I enter a new city." Luna answers bluntly. Whenever she would enter an unfamiliar city, she'd turn to her human form to keep herself protected. She had learned to do so around three months ago.

The white wolf didn't believe in the whole thing of disguising oneself as a human to protect themselves from the lingering eyes of the humans. It disgusted him to the very core.

"She's right. It's what we do to trick the humans and to protect ourselves, more importantly. Keep looking like that and you'll only wind up back here in no time." Hige agreed with Luna. The white wolf started to growl at the two wolves, baring his wolf fangs slightly.

"You both are living lies. Do you two wish to die a miserable death in this city?" he growled, sounding angered. Luna wasn't fazed by his cold reaction at all. "Hey, it's what we do to survive. You're just asking for trouble if you don't hide yourself." the black she-wolf spat, narrowing her green eyes at him.

She knew to hold her ground against this white wolf. "Have you two given up your pride as wolves?!" the white wolf snarls, jumping up as he snarled at the two wolves. Hige's eyes widened a bit from the white wolf's remark but he immediately softened up with a smile.

"Damn, you really are strange. But does pride really count if you're dead?" he replied coolly. The white wolf was left dumbfounded at that. He didn't think of it that way.

Then, a loud siren rang from above them, making Luna look up. "I think that's our cue to leave." she said to the two other wolves. She then looked back at the white wolf with a serious look on her face, "Look, unless you want to let said wolf pride completely dig its heels into you completely then that's your choice, but think about this, how about you let yourself blend in with the rest of the humans. It's the only option a wolf can survive out here."

Hige was stunned by Luna's smarticles as well as the white wolf. "Wow, didn't take you to be the brainy type." the dun mexican wolf said with a warm smile. Luna scoffed and stood back up to her feet.

"Don't start with me. C'mon, let's get the hell out of here before the humans catch us." Luna said, getting him to back up a bit. Hige also stood up as they waited for the white wolf to make his escape.

(Tsume)

The sound of the alarm was caused by the grey wolf, who's name is Tsume, and his gang of wood-be toughs who were trying to do their usual thievery of the city. As they were being shot at by the soldiers, they had to run across a set of wide poles.

Unfortunately, the smaller boy who had saved him earlier in the day, lost his footing on the pipes and slipped off. He grabbed onto a small, loose pipe. "Tsume!" he called.

Tsume dropped the stuff he was carrying and ran back to help the boy up. When he reached down to grab him, it wasn't a hand that grabbed the boy. It was a wolf's fangs. Tsume had changed to his wolf form before the young boy's eyes, causing him to scream in terror.

Because of this discovery, Tsume had let go of the boy. He watched as the boy slowly fell to his death from the pipes.

(Luna, Hige, Kiba)

The white wolf had been able to escape the confines of that small cage. He had listened to what Luna had said about taking his human form to protect himself from the humans. Because of this, he didn't stick out like a sore thumb. None of them couldn't risk walking out in their wolf forms; it'd only draw attention.

His human-guise consisted of him having caucasion skin, medium brown hair with loose bangs hanging over his blue eyes. His clothing consisted of a white shirt, brown jacket with rolled up sleeves, blue jeans, and black and white sneakers.

He carried an aloof look on his face and his hands were in his pockets as he walked with Luna and Hige, who also had their hands in their jacket pockets. Their wolf shadows appeared on the walls yet again. Some scientists didn't pay any mind to them.

Having a human form is something that the white wolf is gonna have to get used to. Luna knows that he'll figure it out the more he uses it. He wasn't the only one to find it kind of difficult.

The three wolves walked outside and passed the humans. They could see that it was night time, the moon was out in full this night. "Sir! That big dog! It's gone!" a scientist cried. "What?" the detective shouted, quickly running inside to see the issue.

The three wolves walked down a flight of stairs and continued to walk until they found themselves atop a stray building. They were out of sight of the humans. Luna sat down a few feet from the white wolf with her left knee propped up, her left arm propped on it. Hige sat on a piece of debris that was on the building. Their wolf shadows were behind them as the moonlight shone down through the roof of the city.

"You're wounds? Did they heal yet?" Hige asked the white wolf, who was laying down on his back, his legs hanging over the building's edge. "Yeah. After all, it's a full moon tonight." the white wolf replied. Luna glanced up at the ceiling and she saw that there was no moonlight shining through the roof.

"So what about you? You haven't said why you're here. Is it because of the flower scent?" the black she-wolf asked him. The white wolf was surprised at this; he didn't expect her to know that. He too did come here because of the strong, attractiveness of the flower's sweet scent.

"Yeah… yeah it is." he replies, looking back up at the ceiling. "I'm guessing you came here for the same reason, Luna?" Hige asked the black she-wolf. "Yeah. That's the reason." she replied to him.

"Huh, that's cool. With my nose, I know when a dog is taking a dump ten miles away." Hige says, grinning at that. "Really? That must really stink." the white wolf replied, somewhat disgusted. Luna only furrowed her eyebrow at what he said, not what to make of it.

Hige chuckled at what the white wolf said and looked to meet the friendly smile of the white wolf. "Why did you two come with me?" the white wolf asked. Luna only shrugged her shoulders, finding it not an issue to be around other wolves. She didn't want to be alone the whole time therefore, she'd stick with them.

"Not really sure. I got nowhere else to go. You seem interesting." Hige answered him. "As for me, I'm just wandering from place to place. So… where are you going?" Luna adds, glancing down at the white wolf. "To Paradise." the white wolf replied, "There isn't any moonlight in this place."

Luna and Hige look at the white wolf when he mentions Paradise. Luna didn't really believe in it even though she loved hearing the stories of them when she was a pup. She gave up on it a long time ago.

"Paradise huh? That sounds like fun." Hige said, smiling at the white wolf. "Yeah, sounds like it." Luna said, lying to herself. The wind picked up a little bit, causing their hair to blow gently. "My name is… Kiba." the white wolf said.

This was the start of a new found friendship of the three wolves. Luna, Hige, and Kiba.
