The Autobots were getting a call from Agent Fowler, "Prime!" Optimus and the twins walked in as they heard him yell for Optimus's name. "Prime!"
"Special agent Fowler? To what do we owe-" Optimus starts before getting interrupted.
"What else? 'Cons! I chased them off with some hard ordnance, but not before they blew me out of the sky."
Miko snickers as he said that, "Again?" Recalling the last time it happened when she, Jack and Raf had to do science fair projects.
"They tried a smash-and-grab for the D.N.G.S," he said.
"The… what's it?" the twins asked at the same time.
"Dynamic Nuclear Generation System, A.K.A, D.N.G.S.," he explained before showed them what it looked like by pressing a button, "it's a prototype energy source I'm transporting to the coast for testing."
"That's absurd," Ratchet said with disbelief, "Why would Starscream bother with primitive technology?"
"I'm guessing to make a big fat primitive weapon of mass destruction," Fowler explained, "If this baby were to melt down, it would irradiate this state and the four states next door."
"Uh, did Agent Fowler day what state he was currently in?" Raf asked.
"I'm in Wyoming," Fowler said, "I'm a sitting duck here, Prime. I need you to spin up your Bridge and send the D.N.G.S to its destination before the 'Cons come back for it."
"I'm afraid, sending such a volition device through a Ground Bridge is out of the question," Optimus told him, "If there were to be an accident during its transmission, the radiation of which you speak could propagate through the Ground Bridge vortex and harm all 48 Continental States… and beyond."
"You got any better ideas?" Fowler asked him.
After Ground Bridging to Fowler's location, Optimus transformed into his alternate mode, attaching his trailer after getting it from his Sub-Space storage pocket, they placed the D.N.G.S inside the trailer alongside the twins. Fowler sat in the front seat and was about to start driving, when Optimus stopped him "Ah! No need, Agent Fowler. I will handle the driving."
"Fowler leaded backwards and crossed his arms, "It's gonna be a long trip," he said.
"Autobots, roll out," Optimus said as he, Bulkhead and Bumblebee began driving, hauling the D.N.G.S to its destination with Bulkhead and Bumblebee as escorts.
Ratchet was tracking the autobots from the Cybertronian computer system, "We are locked on to your coordinates, Optimus. Barring any complications, you should reach the dropoff point by sundown."
Back with Optimus who was carrying the D.N.G.S in his trailer, an old fashioned pickup truck was in front of them, Fowler was irritated at how slow the driver was and honked Optimus's horn, "Move it gramps!" the Pickup truck moved off the road.
"Agent Fowler, is that really necessary?" Optimus asked the Special Agent.
Fowler stopped honking the horn, "Ah, don't tell me you're one of them textbook drivers. Hph." He folds his arms.
Unbeknownst to the Autobots, a helicopter was following them, "They're transporting in an unarmed civilian truck," a man in the helicopter said as Bumblebee accelerated in front of Optimus "Send in the ground units."
"You know you're saving my bacon here, Prime," Fowler told the Autobot leader.
"I am glad to be of service," Optimus told him.
"'Course, not like I'd need your help if you and the 'cons stuck up to tearing up your own corner of the galaxy," Fowler added.
"Are you suggesting that no evil existed on your world before we arrived?" Optimus asked him.
"Of… Well, it was a… different evil," Fowler answered, "How about some radio? You seem like a Nashville-sound kind of guy."
Suddenly they hear and notices the helicopter that was following them, "that's the one! The 'Con who shot me down!" Fowler said, looking at Optimus's side view mirror. "Who is he? Wingnut? Dingbat? Skyguy?"
"Watch your rearviews," Bulkhead said on the walkie-talkie next to Fowler.
Behind Bulkhead, five green sports car move in on them and corners Bulkhead from all sides but in front, "Feeling a little constructed without the use of my fists, here boss."
"Remain in vehicular mode unless absolutely necessary," Optimus told the Wrecker.
One of the sports cars moves in front of Bulkhead and Fowler notices how many sports cats there were. "A whole team of 'Cons."
"What?" Ratchet said as he uses the computer to pick up Decepticon life signals, "I'm not picking up anything. They must be utilizing a clocking technology."
The sports cars were not cornering Bulkhead in all directions as one of the cars accelerated in front of Bumblebee and slid in front of him and Bumblebee slid to his left, the sports car followed. Meanwhile Fowler noticed that one of the sports cars were approving to Optimus's side, saw a sunroof on the car open up and saw a human wearing all back, stand up, aiming a futuristic gun at them, "Pull over!"
"Well, I'll be dipped," Fowler said.
"Our assailants are not Decepticons, Optimus told everyone at the base, they are human."
"Human?!" They all asked at the same time, with confusion.
"Oh, please," Miko said. "Taking on our bots? They're roadkill!"
Meanwhile in the helicopter, a man with grey hair, a scar going around his nose and his face in a diagonal line, was sitting next to the pilot. "Gentlemen stop their engines," the man said.
The man standing in the opened sunroof of the car next to Optimus started shooting at them, which Prime avoided.
"Who are these guys?" Fowler asked.
"Autobots, maintain your cover and apply minimal force," Optimus said, "Disarmament only." Another of the sports cars went on the other side of Optimus and when to fire when Bumblebee bumped backwards into him and the driver tried going past him only for Bumblebee to slam into the car, causing the car to hit a rock and flip over.
In the helicopter, the man was tracking the Autobots with a tracking system, "Those are not civilian drivers," he said noticing on how they were driving.
The autobots drove around a steep curve, causing Fowler to feel sick as he gasp and cover his mouth, "Could use some air," Optimus rolls his window down from where Fowler was and placed his head in the window. He soon noticed one of the humans from the sports cars were getting onto Optimus to detach his trailer. "Prime, bear right!"
Optimus moves right, causing the human to fall on his back, Optimus's trailer son slammed into the car next to him, causing it to fall off the edge. The human that was on Optimus, got back on his feet and continued to detach the trailer.
Fowler opened the door, he approached the human and grabbed him, the man dropped his weapon which fell on the road, "You're gonna tell me everything I want to kno-" Fowler started before the man pulled back and fell onto the road.
Fowler got back inside Optimus's cab and put his seatbelt back on when suddenly a voice came from his walker-talkie. "I hope you take better care of the D.N.G.S. than you do your captives," the voice said.
"Special Agent William Fowler here. Identify yourself," Fowler said talking to the voice from the walkie-talkie.
"I am Silas," the voice answered, "But of greater consequence to you, we are MECH. Fair warning, we will be helping ourselves to your device, even if it means inflicting casualties."
"Is that so?" Fowler asked him "Tell me, Si, what's the market price for a D.N.G.S these days?"
"What makes you think we intend to sell it, Agent Fowler?" Silas asked him, "There's a war brewing between The New World Order and the newest. The victor will be the side armed with the most innovative technology."
Fowler saw a sports car behind the trailer and a man was standing up holding a futuristic gun and shot three bolts from the gun onto the back of the trailer, presses a button on the gun, the bolts spinner inward, causing electricity to sparkle, which caused the back door to blow open. The car approached the trailer as Fowler continued to talk to Silas, "So, Si… You think MECH has all the most radical tech?"
As the MECH goon was about to climb into the trailer, Arcee and Chromette revved our the trailer, with their holographic drivers activated, they landed on the car before getting off, as the car flipped over, soon another flipped over, exploding immediately.
Inside the helicopter the pilot noticed how the twins were driving, "Definitely not civilian drivers," the pilot told Silas.
"Later, Si," Fowler said, talking to the Walkie-talkie.
"Agent Fowler, Do not take your 'Silas' lightly. Megatron preached the very same ideology before plunging Cybertron into the Great War that destroyed our world," Optimus told Fowler.
"Optimus," Ratchet said from the base, "Prepare to initiate phase 2. Five miles ahead, to the south, you will reach the rendezvous point.
Meanwhile at the Nemesis, Soundwave has monitored the conversation of what Ratchet just told Opimus, "Five miles ahead, to the rendezvous point, you will reach the rendezvous point."
"So the autobots are outside their confines of their base… and sound otherwise engaged," Starscream said, as he heard the recording, "Which means they will never see us coming. Find them… And scrap them!"
"Yes, Lord Starscream," the jet Vehicons said.
Starscream chuckles evilly as the Vehicons left and searched for the autobots.
The Autobots passes by a train as more MECH goons followed them in their sport cars.
"There's our destination point," Fowler said, talking about the train.
"Autobots, keep a tight formation," Optimus said, the Twins, jumped off the road onto the railroad track, the lead to a tunnel, the others followed suit, Mech started following them as the autobots entered the tunnel, Bulkhead noticed them, transformed and shot the entrance, closing it, before MECH could enter.
Bulkhead quickly transformed back into his alternate mode, Arcee and Chromette were in the trailer picking up the D.N.G.S. Bumblebee transformed and jumped onto the top of the train's freight carriage trailer, the door opened and Optimus's trailer collapsed as the autobots passed them D.N.G.S before driving off with the trailer back to normal.
"Tactical error, only one way out," Silas said from the helicopter, soon the autobots came out of the tunnel and went back onto the road, while in the sky, jet Vehicons appeared.
Fowler notices the Vehicons, "Air support? Ours or theirs?" He asked.
"Optimus, you have company!" Ratchet said from the base.
The Vehicons fires missiles at the autobots, Silas was confused as he saw this, "Military fired on one of their own?" Optimus tries to evade the missiles, but Optimus's trailer is shaken loose.
"Sir, the D.N.G.S.!" The MECH pilot said as Optimus's trailer explodes as the autobots avoid getting hit. "Sir, I'm not reading any radiation. The D.N.G.S. didn't melt down."
"No… it did not," Silas said.
The autobots reached a dead end as the Vehicons transformed in front of them, "Agent Fowler, I'm afraid that if you and we are to survive, it has become absolutely necessary to drop our cover," Optimus said before transforming with Fowler in his hand, coughing and Gags.
The other autobots transform and took battle positions ready to battle the Vehicons.
"So the rumors are true," Silas said as he notices the autobots and Decepticons in their robot mode. "Living technology stands before us, though perhaps not for very long." The helicopter flies away.
Optimus places Fowler on a rock above them to stay safe, "Remain here," he told the special agent.
"Will do," Fowler said.
"After a long road trip, it feels so good to get out of the car, stretch my legs…" Bulkhead said, pounding his fists together. "And kick some tailpipe." He activated his mace and rushed toward the Vehicons, the other autobots did the same. The Vehicons rushes towards them as well and Optimus punches one, Bulkhead punches. One with his mace, while Arcee and Chromette attacked the same Vehicon by kicking them and then punching the Vehicon, Bumblebee avoided a Vehicon's punch and punched him, the Vehicon tried to punch the scout again, but he evaded it yet again, the Vehicon tried to punch yet again, but Bumblebee avoided the attack and punched him.
A Vehicon approaches Optimus and tries to attack him, Optimus evades the Vehicon's attack and punches him in the back another approaches him from behind, but the Prime notices him and punches him.
Silas was watching the battle from the helicopter, "Sir, if the D.N.G.S. wasn't in the truck…" the pilot said.
"Yes, that," Silas said as he realized what the Autobots did and contacts Fowler, "Special Agent Fowler, you lead a charmed life, walking among titans."
"Come on down, I'll introduce you," Fowler said placing the walkie-talkie on his ear.
"In good time," Silas said, "But at the moment, I'm too busy wondering, how the D.N.G.S. might have vanished into thin air without a trace." Fowler realized that Silas knows what the autobots did with the D.N.G.S., "Now if you excuse me… I have a train to catch." He sees Silas's helicopter going in the direction of the train.
"Prime," Fowler said, placing the Walkie-talkie back on his ear, as Optimus fights off multiple Vehicons, "Silas got wise to phase 2!"
"I understand," the prime said before being hit by a tree trunk in the face, causing him to fall off the cliff.
"Prime, do you read me?" He asked as he couldn't contact him, "Prime?!"
The other Autobots were still fighting the Vehicons, as Arcee, Chromette and Bumblebee jumped from Bulkhead in different directions and he gets clobbered by multiple Vehicons.
Back at base, the humans saw that Prime was knocked out, "Optimus is down!" Miko said.
"MECH's gonna grab the D.N.G.S. we need to think of something, quick," Jack said.
"You mean like a phase 3?" Raf said looking at him after turning from the computer he was at.
"Okay. Come on, think," Jack said, he turns around, "All right, if MECH wants the D.N.G.S., they have to get on that train."
"What if we get on board first?" Miko said realizing what he was getting at, "You know run some human-on-human interference?" She added making punching gestures with her arms.
"Absolutely not!" Ratchet said.
Yeah, that would be suicide," Jack said realizing that his plan sounded silly.
"Hello, The United States of Meltdown!" Miko told them, "Lives are at stake!"
"Yes, yours!" Ratchet told her. "You want me to not only bridge you into a confined space, but one traveling at 90 miles per hour? I can't even count the number of ways that could go wrong. Mass-displacement trauma, twisted limbs, metal burn…" the three humans looked at him as he said that, he realized his mistake, "well, maybe not the last one. Regardless, it is nearly impossible to fix Ground Bridge coordinates on something moving at that speed."
Raf begins typing on his laptop, "Would it help if we had access to the train's coordinates?" The cybertronian computer starts tracking the train.
"Well…" Ratchet said as he gives in.
Silas approaches the train as a man inside the cargo container guards the D.N.G.S., holding an M4, "Immobilize then," Silas ordered and a goon in the back on the helicopter held a futuristic gun, points it at the train and fires a bolt at it. The bolt causes an electrical surge to pass through the train, knocking every one inside unconscious.
Inside the train where the D.N.G.S. was a ground Bridge portal opens and both Jack and Miko appeared from it. Jack held his phone to his ear, "We're in."
"I read you, Jack," Raf said on the other side. "The cellphone-commlink patch works."
Both humans hear the helicopter from above and Jack opens the cargo container's door and sees Silas's helicopter descending, "Raf MECH's landing on top of the train," Jack told Raf as he placed his phone back on his ear.
"In about 20 seconds you're gonna come to a fork," Raf said as he continues to track the train from base, "Brace yourself."
The train is a few yards away from a tail fork as the helicopter hovers over the top of the container while Raf uses his laptop at base to switch the train's railway track and the helicopter suddenly had trouble balancing and flew upwards.
"What happened?" Silas asks the pilot.
"Hacker," the pilot answered before pressing a button on the dashboard, "Former, hacker."
Back at base Raf's laptop suddenly gets hacked by the helicopter's pilot as it showed a bomb going off on it. "What?" He said with disbelief and his laptop suddenly shorts out.
"And what have I been saying all along about Earth technology?" Ratchet asked him.
Back in the carriage the D.N.G.S. is in, the helicopter lands on the roof and MECH goons begins to cut through the roof.
"Huh? So, what'd that buy us?" Jack asked, "10 Seconds?"
"Raf is losing his touch," Miko said.
Meanwhile back with the Autobots, Bulkhead regained his posture and the Vehicons flew off of him, Arcee and Chromette used their blasters on the Vehicons approaching them. Bumblebee evaded a Vehicon that was about to attack him and punched him.
Below the cliff, Optimus was regaining conscious and sees that the train was in trouble.
Inside the carriage with the D.N.G.S., the Mech goon was about to finish cutting through the roof, when Miko grabbed an axe from behind, Jack look behind and sees a fire extinguisher and grabs it. The MECH goon finishes cutting the roof and the part of the roof that was being cut falls to the floor, three MECH goons stood above the hole.
"You want a slice of this?" Miko threatened waving the axe at the goons, "Well, do ya?!"
"What she said," Jack said holding the fire extinguisher.
In the helicopter, the pilot notices something behind them, "Sir…" he said and Silas saw Optimus running toward the train before transforming into his alternate mode.
"Retreat," Silas ordered and the three MECH goons renters the helicopter and ascends upwards and flew forwards, Jack and Miko notices this and look out the door.
"Woah," Miko said, "You're pretty fierce."
Silas opens the window on his side of the helicopter and picks up his own futuristic gun, "First rule of combat, never leave the enemy with the spoils," he pokes his arm out of the helicopter and fires at the track that the train was approaching blowing it up.
"Woah," Jack said as he saw it and Silas and MECH leaves flying away. He takes his phone out, "Ratchet, MECH blew the train tracks. You need to bridge us out of here, the soldiers, too."
Back at base, Raf was trying to reconnect to the train with his laptop, "We've lost access to the train data!" Ratchet told Jack "I can't bridge you back without your coordinates!"
Back on the train, Miko looks at Jack who puts his phone off of his ear, meanwhile Ratchet contacts Optimus, "Optimus, Jack and Miko are on that train, and MECH has blown the tracks."
"I'm on my way," the Prime said. "Maximum overdrive!" He starts to accelerate faster.
"Maybe we should jump," Miko suggested.
"At 90 miles per hour?" Jack shot at her.
"It's the impact or the meltdown," she explained "Take your pick."
Jack sighs, "What were we thinking, volunteering for this?"
"Next time, you need a better job of talking us out of these situations," she told him.
"Next time…" he said.
Miko looks out, "we can buy ourselves a few seconds if we're in the back of the train, right?"
Jack looks at her, "Miko… at least we're in this together," he said.
She walks up to him and takes his phone, "Raf, this is important! Make sure Bulkhead gets my guitar." They look out when Optimus suddenly drive pass them.
"Don't read the will just yet," he told her.
Back with the other autobots, Bulkhead activates another mace on his other arm and pounds it into the last Vehicon in the area. He deactivates his mace before rubbing his hands together up and down as they finish battling the Vehicon, Arcee notices that Optimus was missing. "Where's Optimus?"
"Sis, your right, I don't see him anywhere," Chromette said.
"He had a train to catch," Fowler told the twins and watched from where he was.
Optimus transforms and ran up to the train's cab and grabs it, trying to stop it and brought it to a halt as they approached the edge of the track and he let go of the train. Optimus stood up and looks at the two humans inside the train.
Above them Silas looked at them and the Prime notices as he looks at the helicopter, "Well played, Visitor, but MECH still has home-field advantage, and we will find a way to level that playing field, even if we have to open you up to see what makes you tick," he said as he scans Optimus's body before the helicopter flies away.
"Optimus, are you and the children… intact?" Ratchet asked through the commlink.
"Intact, Ratchet," the Prime answered, as Jack and Miko began to argue within the train carriage, "crisis averted. But the world which we live is a different one than previously imagined. One which has spawned its own Decepticons… in human skin."
Note: The lack of my Original Character being in this chapter is due to how much Arcee there was in the actual episode, and I've always imagined that Fowler was shot down in Wyoming as it is a state near the Pacific Ocean as I believe that he was transporting the D.N.G.S. to the west coast. Also if you post a review type it in English.
