"Follow the light," Ratchet said as he shined a light in front of Optimus's optics, "Good. Good." He switched off the light, "I wouldn't advise anything strenuous, Optimus, but it appears that your systems are fully recovered from the Cybonic Plague."
Optimus got off the repair bay and walked out, "Thanks to your medical expertise, old friend," Optimus told Ratchet.
"It was your scout who braved unknown territory to locate the cure," Ratchet explained and Bumblebee beeps with a gesture with both of his hands.
"Lucky for us, Megatron was still alive," Arcee said.
"You said it, sis," Chromette agreed.
Bumblebee beeps with surprise at what they said, "Yeah, we actually said that," the twins told him.
"What matters is that you are on the mend, Optimus, while Megatron-", Ratchet started before Bumblebee interrupted him, beeping.
"He's right," Arcee said, "Both me and Chrome did our best to finish Megatron's story. Just couldn't stick around long enough to see how it ended."
Bumblebee walks away and Megatron speaks to him from within his mind, "It is a matter of time before Optimus discovers all is not right with you, scout. I must reclaim my body, which means taking complete and total control of yours."
"Basketball by way of Cybertron. Let the games begin!" Miko said before blowing a whistle. Bumblebee held a hollowed lob ball and twirled it on his forefinger before tossing it at Bulkhead who caught it and laughed before dribbling the hall at the hoop, which didn't have a net. "Yeah! Go bulk!"
The ball rolled back towards Bulkhead, he picks it up, "come on. Best two out of three." He threw the ball at Bumblebee who caught the ball before it hit his chest and began practically waltzing around the court past Bulkhead, who tried to catch him, but failed.
"Bee, you're in the clear!" Raf said, Bumblebee soon approached the hoop, "Dunk it bee!" Bumblebee suddenly got a vision of Megatron punching Optimus in the face, at the space bridge before it was destroyed, the space bridge crumbling all around him, the terrorcons reaching out towards him, trying to break through the barriers of the portal, then the bridge exploding consuming him within its blast radius.
"Bumblebee, stop hogging the ball," Bulkhead said before the scout threw the ball at him and the wrecker avoided it and the ball at the wall.
Miko climbed down a ladder blowing her whistle, "Eh, Flagrant foul!"
"Dodgeball by way of Cybertron," Jack said.
"Bee, the hoop's over there," Bulkhead told the scout, pointing at the hoop in front of him. Bumblebee beeped.
"Bee? You okay?" Raf asked him, Bumblebee buzzed a reply, and questioned him by raising three fingers, "Yeah. Uh, three out of five."
Bumblebee was walking down a corridor when Megatron spoke to him again, showing him memories, "If I am to return to my body, I must restore its functionality. How did I escape on high emission?" The vision of Starscream pulling the shard of Dark Energon out of Megatron appeared in the scout's head, "Of course. Dark Energon. Starscream."
On the Nemesis, Starscream knocked on the face of Megatron's body, "Knock, Knock. Is anyone in there? No? Oh, well. Seems I possess the only thing that would allow you to rise off that slab and walk again, my dearest, Megatron." He pulls out a shard of Dark Energon, "The only scrap left on this planet. Plucked from your very spark chamber. But it cannot restore your mind. The Decepticons need a leader, nod a decorative centerpiece. And I will convince them that I am the true heir to your throne with a plan so epic-"
"Not even the mighty Megatron could have conceived it? Knockout asked from the door, Starscream turns around and chuckles nervously.
"That was the idea, Knockout," he answered, "How long have you been there?"
"Long enough," he said and bowed before him, "And its 'commander Knockout' to you, once and future Lord Starscream."
At Raf's house he was waiting for Bumblebee to pick him up, it was about time for school to start, so he took out his phone and dialed Jack's number.
At Memorial high school, Jack sat at his desk when his cellphone started ringing,, turned to his side and answered it, "Raf? Class is starting."
"Bumblebee never picked me up for school, and his comlink's off again. Any idea where he is?"
Meanwhile at the Autobot base, Bumblebee was walking in the main room, being puppeted by Megatron, walked towards a piece of equipment and walked towards it, grabbed it, "Yes, go on, scout. Obey my will." Bumblebee crushes the piece of equipment and stops when he heard Ratchet behind him.
"Bumblebee!" Bumblebee turns around, Ratchet saw the piece of equipment broken in his hand, "I needed that!" Bumblebee buzzes with confusion, "What has gotten into you?" He buzzes a reply. "You're seeing Megatron's face?"
Ratchet puts Bumblebee in the repair bay to shut down, with Optimus and Raf nearby, "Bumblebee's complaining of intermittent visions, waking nightmares, if you will."
"But you said Bee was fine when you checked him over," Raf told the medic with confusion.
"Physically, but the experience he endured seems to be having a temporary effect on his psyche," Ratchet explained, "This indices power-down should force Bumblebee's mind to rest and recover."
Suddenly the cybertronian computer system started beeping as it was getting a call, Ratchet answered it, with Optimus, Arcee and Chromette nearby. Fowler appeared on the monitor, "Prime, you spot any Decepticons wearing hula skirts lately?"
"No, Special Agent Fowler," Optimus answered, "Why?"
"'Cause I was hoping you'd have a lead on the 'Cons that busted into the Kauai naval Observatory," Fowler explained, "The place looked like it was hit by an army of wrecking balls."
"Why would 'Cons break into an observatory?" Arcee asked.
"You're right, sis," Chromette said, "that doesn't sound like anything they would do."
"Does the Hoit-Nikogosian ring any bells?" Fowler asked them.
Raf approaches them, "the space telescope," he answered.
"As of last night, missing its primary lens," Fowler added.
"It's difficult to guess Starscream's intent without knowing where the lenses has been taken," Optimus told him.
"Good thing the lens has a tracking device," Fowler went on and one of the computer monitors shows the North Pole.
"The Arctic?" Arcee said, "Great. Another chance to freeze our spark plugs off."
"I agree, Sis," Chromette said, but let's hope that doesn't happen this time."
The computer zooms in on the location of the lens, "that's a ND-7 class," Bulkhead said noticing the Energon on the monitor, "Biggest unminable Energon deposit there is."
"Unminable until Starscream melts his way to it," Optimus said.
"With the help of the lens," Arcee added.
"Melting a glacier that size would cause sea levels to rise and demolish coastal cities," Fowler added, telling them that it would speed up global warming.
At the North Pole, Starscream stood on top of the Nemesis, "Let the reign of Lord Starscream begin," he said, Knockout and a device that the decepticons created with the lens ascended onto the top of the nemesis, next to Starscream, it aimed downwards, as it charged up and started blasting at the glacier below.
Back at the Autobot base, Raf was sitting with the Powered down Bumblebee, "So I blow past the finish line. Then my other sister Pilar asked how I got so good at racing games. And I told her I know a guy who knows cars."
"Rafael, I'm afraid, Bumblebee can't hear you in power-down mode," Ratchet said approaching them, "It's getting late. Why don't I bridge you back home to your family?"
"Because I told Bee I'd stay. He's family too," Raf explained.
"Don't be ridiculous. You're not even the same species," Ratchet said with disbelief.
"That's being related. "It's not the same thing," Raf explained before taking his phone out, "I'll show you." He shows the medic a pictures of his family which included 7 people including himself in the photo, "This is my family.
Ratchet bent down and looked at the photo, "Mm-Hmm. It's very nice," Ratchet, mumbled not interested in the picture.
"Very large," Raf added, "Sometimes I can shout and no one hears me."
"Yes, yes, yes, yes," Ratchet said.
"But Bumblebee always listens," Raf went on, "And I can understand him. I'm not sure why, but I do."
"A lot different than our last polar visit," Arcee remarked as she, Chromette, Bulkhead and Optimus walked through the arctic," Feels like summer."
"You're right sis," Chromette said, "It feels like New York in July."
"Here, that's a bad thing," Bulkhead said as the four autobots hid behind a glacier.
"Autobots, remember the end run on Polyhex?" Optimus asked
"Why?" they all asked him, wanting to know why he asked them that.
Back at base, Raf was still next to Bumblebee with his laptop open and typed on it, "Rafael, I'm going to the supply vault to see if I can find parts to repair this," Ratchet told Raf, showing him the piece of equipment that Bumblebee broke. "You know what that means?"
"Don't touch anything?" Raf answered.
Ratchet walked away as Rag began typing on his laptop again, when Bumblebee suddenly powered back on by himself, "Wait to see this new laptop I'm saving up for, Bee," He said, not realizing that Bumblebee powered back on. He suddenly noticed Bumblebee walked by, "Bee?" He followed him, "Bumblebee, wait!"
Bumblebee types coordinates into the Ground Bridge, and turns the Ground Bridge on and walks through the portal, "Bumblebee!" Raf called and Ratchet approached him.
"What did you do?" Ratchet asked him.
"N-Nothing! Bumblebee just got up and.." Raf said.
"He was in power-down," Ratchet said, "Where does he think he's off to?"
The Ground Bridge portal came out at the place where Optimus and Ratchet fought against the horde of undead Cybertronian terrorcons, the cybertronian graveyard, Megatron using Bumblebee's body looked around, "Where is it? Where!" He asked before remembering where on the ground he threw the shard of Dark Energon at, he walked towards a crater with purple coming out of it, walks towards it and picks the Dark Energon up.
Back at the Autobot base, Ratchet was looking at the Ground Bridge coordinates log while Raf stood on the catwalk behind the Ground Bridge controls, "These are the coordinates for the site of our previous battle with Megatron's undead," Ratchet said.
"M-Maybe we should call Optimus," Raf suggested.
"Optimus is busy preventing a polar ice cap from melting," Ratchet retorted, "We need to handle this on our own." He pulled the Ground Bridge control switch as the Ground Bridge activated Bumblebee walked through the portal, "Bumblebee? What have you been doing?" He stops him and notices he was holding something, stops him and Bumblebee opens his hand revealing the shard of Dark Energon, "Dark Energon?" 'Bumblebee' then punches him to the ground.
"Bee, what are you doing?" Raf asked him as Bumblebee approached him, picked him up and places him on the ledge near the vents, "Bumblebee, please! I know you're in there! You've got to fight whatever's making you do this!"
Bumblebee ran back through the portal which now led to another location, Ratchet got up groaning, "Ratchet, are you okay?" Raf asked the medic.
"I'm fine," the Medic answered, before walking towards him, "More importantly is Bumblebee? I fear the time spent in Megatron's mindscape is causing him to think like a Decepticon."
"Bee's not a 'Con," Raf shook his head in denial as he climbed onto Ratchet's hand.
"Agreed. But we need to find out exactly what bumblebee intends to do with that shard. The only one who knew of the Dark Energon was Megatron." Ratchet proclaimed
"Bumblebee has Megatron's memories?" Raf asked him.
"Worse," Ratchet said as he realizes what is going on, "Megatron is occupying Bumblebee's mind."
"What?!" Raf said with shock.
"How could I have been such a fool?" The Medic said as he approaches the controls, "The Cortical Psychic Patch acted a two-way conduit. When Bumblebee returned to his own mind, Megatron followed. And now Bumblebee, Megatron, has bridged to nearly the same coordinates Optimus used." He activated the Ground Bridge, and began to approach the portal, "Stay here."
"No! Bumblebee needs me." Raf objected.
"Of course he does," Ratchet sighed in defeat.
"Yes! I love when a plan comes together!" Starscream cheered as the heat ray continues to melt the glacier, when he suddenly hears familiar engines, he looked down and saw Bulkhead driving across the snow in his alternate mode, Arcee driving across a glacial formed ramp, as Chromette driving across another glacial formed ramp and landed next to Bulkhead. "Autobots," he sneered.
"Please, Lord Starscream, allow your Second-In-Command the honor," Knockout suggested, "Breakdown, total them!"
Breakdown jumped on multiple wings of the nemesis before jumping down towards the snowy ground, laughing evilly, as he did so and sent the three autobots flying, as he landed behind them, the force of the impact knocked the autobots off their wheels and they immediately transformed into their robot forms in mid-air and landed appropriately so they wouldn't harm themselves.
Optimus climbed up a glacier, near where the Nemesis was hovering in the air, drilling into a considerably large glacier to retrieve Energon that is otherwise unobtainable.
Inside the nemesis, a Ground Bridge portal opened in a corridor, Ratchet came through with Raf on his right shoulder, "The Decepticon warship," he said before walking forward and saw disabled Vehicons.
"Did Bumblebee do this?" Raf asked him
"I fear Megatron's mind is dominant, and clearly he came here for one purpose, to use the Dark Energon to resurrect his own body," Ratchet proclaimed.
"No!" Raf said with disbelief, "Bumblebee won't let him, like he didn't let Megatron hurt me back at the base."
"I hope you're right," Ratchet said, before placing his hand on the ground so Raf could climb off without harming himself.
They soon saw Bumblebee in the sick bay, connecting the same Cortical Psychic Patch back into him as well as Megatron's body that Bumblebee used when Optimus had Cybonic Plague. Ratchet rushed toward him, "Ratchet, don't hurt Bumblebee!" Raf pleaded.
"That's not Bumblebee!" Ratchet retorted as he went to attack him but bumblebee evaded the attacks and flung him to the other side of the room.
Bumblebee approached Megatron's body when Raf approached him, "Bumblebee, No! Remember who you are! Remember me! I know you'll always listen to me, no matter what." He buzzed a reply, "That's right, Bee. It's me."
Within Bumblebee's mind Megatron was getting angry at the Scout's attempts to regain control, "Unbelievable!"
Bumblebee suddenly buzzed and wailed out in pain as Megatron gained control of his body and fell to the floor on his chest, Raf gasps as this happened and Megatron, controlling Bumblebee's body flung Raf across the room with a finger. Ratchet got up and went towards the main Spark Support cable, "Farewell, Megatron," he said as he disconnected the cable from Megatron's chest. Megatron began fighting Ratchet using Bumblebee's body, before throwing Ratchet toward the wall, next to Raf.
"Bumblebee!" Raf cried at Bumblebee
Bumblebee's body turned around, "Bumblebee can't hear you anymore!" Megatron said as he somehow spoke through Bumblebee's body.
"As much as I want you to leave bumblebee's body, I can't let you go back to your own!" Raf said before grabbing the cable of the Cortical Psychic Patch, but he was flown off and landed on the ground, face roughly first.
Bumblebee approached Megatron's body, stabbed the Dark Energon into his chest, right where his spark chamber was, they all watched as Megatron's body was repolished and repaired as Megatron's mind was sent from Bumblebee back into his own body. Megatron opened his eyes, stood up, approached them with heavy footsteps as Vehicons entered the room, they saw Megatron was alive, "Decepticons, your rightful lord and master has returned!" he proclaimed and approached the vehicons, "Finish these pests! I have my own extermination to perform." He walked out of the room, while the Vehicons began to fire at the autobots.
Ratchet grabbed Raf and ran away to cover, while Bumblebee fired back at the Vehicons with his blasters, the blast from his blaster knocked the Vehicon in the center out. He soon buzzed before the three of them left the room.
Optimus finished climbing the glacier, saw a glacial ramp that leads to the Nemesis, he transformed as he ran towards it. He drove up the ramp, transformed in mid-air and grabbed one of the wings and climbed up the wing.
Meanwhile on the ground, Arcee and Chromette deployed their blades, ran towards Breakdown, jumped in mid-air to attack him from two different directions, but he grabbed them as they approached him and swung them away, the twins landed on their feet. Breakdown laughs evilly as he activates his mace, "I'm gonna put you on ice!" He said as he approached Bulkhead, who had his own mace activated and swung them at each other and collided. The force of the collision was enough to split the ice underneath them into two.
"Don't the bots seem understaffed?" Knockout asked, noting the absence of Optimus and Bumblebee. They turned around and noticed Optimus approaching them in his alternate mode.
"What good is a second-in-command who fails to watch the rear?!" Starscream retorted at Knockout, he kicked the Vehicon using the heat-ray off, "Get out of my way!"
Starscream typed in some demands into the laser's control system. Optimus continued to come at Starscream dead on. Even if Starscream aimed the laser at him to burn him alive. He roared in pain and determination and kept pushing on. Having enough of the heat, Optimus transformed and jumped high into the air. Mid-air, he unfolded his blade for his arm and went for the laser beam.
"Noooo!" Starscream screamed.
But his screaming would amount to nothing. He sliced the laser drill into two. The action resulted in an explosion that partially destroyed the tarmac of the ship. Bulkhead, Breakdown, Chromette and Arcee turned around at the sound of the explosion. The force was powerful enough to knock them off of their feet and send them flying for a few meters along with the smoke, ice and snow.
"Optimus!" Arcee shouted.
Optimus groaned from where he laid, the cold snow providing relief to his burning metal plates. Suddenly, they heard the sounds of burning engines and rushing air. Everyone on the ground looked up and saw a familiar jet flying above towards Optimus in a crash-dive position.
"Megatron's greatest mistake was ever allowing you to live, Prime!" Starscream proclaimed as he prepared to fire a missile.
"Optimus!" Arcee, Chromette and Bulkhead cried as they realized what was going to happen, when suddenly a familiar cybertronian Jet flew by stopping Starscream from finishing off the Prime.
"Megatron," Optimus growler as he recognized the jet.
"He's back," Arcee said.
"Not good," Bulkhead said.
"I had a feeling that this was going to happen," Chromette said, "as this has happened before."
Once Megatron transformed back into his robot form Starscream was thrown onto one of the wings of the burning Nemesis. He coughed and gasped for air. He witnessed Megatron transform before him and land on the wing in front of him. No matter how much Starscream would try to cover up his mistakes and betrayals, he knew that it would not save him from Megatron's anger. No one is safe.
"Lord Megatron," Starscream said with shock, "you… are… you're healed! Praise the Allspark. It is a miracle!"
"Oh, it will be a miracle all right, Starscream, if you survive what I have planned for you!" Megatron said, Starscream transformed to get away from the angry Megatron as he prepared for a hasty takeoff. However, Megatron stopped him by grabbing the rear tails connected to his main engine. After spinning a few times, he threw Starscream onto the next wing on his left. Starscream transformed back into his robot form as he landed roughly. Yep. He's screwed.
"But the Autobots! Optimus! Right there, waiting for you," Starscream reminded the warlord as he approached him.
"My greatest mistake? I've made a few. But there is one I do not intend to make again!" Megatron proclaimed as he grabbed Starscream's face and began dragging him away.
"No, Master! Nooooo!" He screamed.
The autobots watched as the Nemesis flew away, Optimus touched his comlink, "Ratchet, we need a Bridge."
"You are not the only ones," they all heard Ratchet said as he and Bumblebee approaching them with Raf on Bumblebee's right shoulder who waved at them.
"What are you doing here?" Chromette asked.
"We'll explain on the way," Ratchet told her.
Back at the Autobot base, Bumblebee was in the repair bay again, "Everything's back to normal," Ratchet said as Bumblebee exited the repair bay who beeped a reply. "Well, normal for Bumblebee." He corrected as everyone watched, including Jack and Miko.
Bumblebee bent down at Raf, buzzing an apology, "it's okay," Raf said and he buzzed yet again. "Of course I was!" He buzzed again. "I know." Bumblebee continued to buzz holding a finger out at him and Raf grabbed it as Miko approached him.
"What'd he say?" She asked him.
"He said thanks," Raf translated.
Sorry for no new chapter yesterday, May, 23rd, 2020 it was so hot where I live, which is Rochester New York.
