"Few things of Value come without a price," Megatron stated as he stood in front of the four Omega Keys after walking towards them, which were now on the floor of the bridge of the Nemesis as Starscream stood across from him and the four Omega Keys, "So, tell me, Starscream, what is it that you wish in return?"
"Only to be a Decepticon once again," Starscream answered as he bowed before the Decepticon warlord.
"Dreadwing is my first lieutenant now," Megatron told him as he gestured to Dreadwing, who was standing behind him.
"And I accept that much has changed during my absence," Starscream stated, "I only wish to serve you, my one true master, in any way that you deem fit."
I am deeply impressed by your accomplishment, Starscream," Megatron told the former seeker, "And know that I will put your offerings to good use, whatever the outcome."
"Uh, outcome?" Starscream asked as he chuckled nervously, "Of what?"
"See to it that Knockout is extracted from the wall," Megatron ordered Dreadwing as he turned around towards him before he nodded a response.
A while later in the laboratory, Knockout was stretching his arms after being set free from the wall that Smokescreen trapped him within after they struggled over the Phase Shifter as he grunted and rotated around as Starscream and Megatron were both lying in medical slabs in the room across from one another, "Ah, it's good to be back." He then walked up to the Decepticon warlord with one end of a Cortical Psychic Patch in his servos and plugged it into the back of the slab that Megatron was lying on top of, "Now, what will we be fishing for today, my liege?"
"Starscream's true motives," Megatron answered as he looked at Starscream and the medical slab that the former seeker was lying on, causing him to look at Megatron with fear for a second as Knockout plugged the other end of the Cortical Psychic Patch into the back of his medical slab.
Flashback: Darkness Rising part 5
Megatron stood in between his first Space bridge when it was being destroyed by the Autobots as he was bringing in his army of Terrorcons. He watched as the Space Bridge started to explode before it exploded like an implosion or a supernova.
"Decepticons, it is with deep sorrow that I note for the log, Megatron's spark has been extinguished," Starscream said as he watched the Space Bridge explode from the Nemesis' bridge as the Decepticons' warship began flying back to Earth with Vehicons standing behind him in the Nemesis' bridge, "All hail Starscream."
"All hail Starscream!" The Vehicons in the bridge chanted.
"Well, well. You certainly didn't waste any time," Starscream heard Megatron say, causing him to look around before seeing the Decepticon warlord standing in front of him.
"What?!" Starscream gasped in disbelief as he saw him before pointing at him with one of his digits, "I just watched you perish!"
"I did not perish then, and I'm very much with you now. The present you as well as the past," Megatron stated, causing Starscream from when the explosion of Megatron's Space Bridge sent the Decepticon warlord into a coma to look confused.
"All hail Starscream!" Starscream heard the Vehicons chanting for him again before turning around and saw himself standing in front of the Vehicons.
"I can't hear you!" Starscream from the present told the Vehicons in a singsong voice as he turned around.
"All hail Starscream!" The Vehicons said, chanting his name yet again.
"One more time!" Starscream from the present ordered them as he moved his right arm over his helm.
"All hail Starscream! All hail Starscream!" Knockout heard the Vehicons chanting Starscream's name again as he watched what Megatron was witnessing from the monitor within the laboratory.
"This is going to be juicy," Knockout muttered to himself.
"All hail Starscream!" The Vehicons continued to chant as the present Starscream began to move his hips and pelvis in a funny way as he began to dance with the Starscream from when Megatron went into a coma watching what his future-self was doing.
"You're inside my head? Aren't you?" The Starscream from when Megatron went into a coma asked the Decepticon warlord after chuckling a bit as he turned to face him.
"The Cortical Psychic Patch," Megatron explained, "You see, there are no secrets in here…only your memories." The surroundings around them then began to change from the Nemesis' bridge to a black void within Starscream's mind as the Starscream from when Megatron went into a coma became the present Starscream, "You cannot manipulate their content or their outcome. What we see is how it happened."
Flashback: Masters and Students
"If you want to be a true leader, Starscream, then stray from Megatron's path and lead the Decepticons toward peace," Optimus told Starscream when he, Chromette and Bumblebee encountered Skyquake in the desert canyon where he was tasked to kill all three Autobots, only to be killed by Bumblebee when he hopped on the top of his alternate mode and pulled out wires out of him, causing him to crash into the ground.
"I would be willing to a truce…" Starscream stated, slyly as he looked at the Autobot leader, "If you would be willing to bow before me, Optimus Prime."
Flashback: Speed Metal
"You have defied my orders yet again!" Starscream said, angrily at Knockout as they along with Breakdown stood on the bridge of the Nemesis when Knockout defied his orders by street racing upon humans when Megatron was in his coma after he kidnapped Vince when he mistook him for Raf and Optimus ripping off his left arm's door after he and Breakdown were attempting to lure the Autobots into a trap, only for him to drive away from their trap during the battle when things got messy for him.
"My mistake, Commander Starscream," Knockout told him as he placed his servo over his chassis and spark chamber.
"It is Lord!" Starscream reminded him as he walked up to his face.
Flashback: Con Job
"Haven't you heard? I lead the Decepticons now," Starscream told Wheeljack after growling as he and Soundwave walked up to him when he came to Earth to visit Bulkhead, only for the Decepticons to intercept his transmission and kidnapped him and replaced him with a Decepticon shapeshifter by the name of Makeshift.
"Now, where did we leave off?" Megatron asked Starscream as a memory of the former seeker addressing Vehicons, a week after Megatron's assumed demise after he was caught in the explosion of the Decepticons' first Space Bridge, "Oh, yes, 'All hail Starscream?' A rather obvious motif, Starscream. You deem yourself more able to the Decepticons than myself like you did before Soundwave brought me back to life with Dark Energon back on Cybertron?!"
"No, not anymore," Starscream dismissed, "I have learned from my many failures, Master."
Flashback: Fall of Cybertron
"Who dares to disrupt my coronation?" Starscream, whose frame was painted white, blue and red with a yellow colored cockpit for a chassis, a much more bulkier frame along with his helm being shaped more blocky instead of being round and a crown over his helm asked with outrage as he stood on a pedestal within an arena in Kaon with a large gold statue of him behind him along with a team of Decepticons called the Combaticons that forms the combiner known as Bruticus behind him, which comprised of Onslaught, Brawl, Vortex, Swindle and Blast Off as he saw a lift rising upwards as a male Cybertronian was standing on top of the lift.
The male Cybertronian's frame was colored silver with a purple Decepticon insignia on the center of their chassis, had parts all over their frame that resembled a Cybertronian tank, purple highlights all around their frame, showing that they have Dark Energon coursing through their system and a Fusion Cannon attached to their right arm.
This Cybertronian was none other than Megatron before he traded in his Cybertronian tank alternate mode for a Cybertronian Jet mode.
"Coronation, Starscream? This is bad comedy," Megatron told Starscream.
"Megatron?!" Starscream said with shock, horror and utter confusion on how he survived being crushed to death by Metroplex's servo before kicking a Decepticon that was kneeling next to him away from him, "Decepticons! I am your true leader now! And I order you to attack Megatron! NOW!"
Flashback: Armada
"Esteemed members of my Armada, you now stand upon the very precipice of glory, to meet the destiny which I so tenaciously worked toward," Starscream began after he cloned himself with protoforms when he had them assassinate Megatron, only to fail with one surviving and attempting to assassinate the original Starscream and fail that instead.
"Dynamic leadership of the Decepticons," one of the clones finished, surprising Starscream.
"That clone said it, not me!" Starscream told the Decepticon warlord as the memory switched to when his clones surrounded Megatron in the Nemesis' bridge, aiming their missiles and arms at him.
"It seems you would not stop at nothing to disrupt my rule, including assassination," Megatron argued.
"It was their idea, not mine," Starscream lied.
Flashback: Crossfire
"With this creature under your control and at our disposal, we might employ it to terminate Megatron, allowing us to rule the Decepticons," Starscream suggested to Airachnid when he found out that she had gone rogue as well after discovering an Insecticon on Earth and after she had terminated Breakdown.
"I see no clones here," Megatron told Starscream as he couldn't see any clones of Starscream in this memory of the former seeker that was currently being shown to him, "Was this their idea, too?"
"I don't remember any of this," Starscream lied as he chuckled within his mind, "I must have been half-crazed at the time, a victim of Energon deficiency."
"Tell me why I should welcome back someone whose every waking impulse has been to thwart me, undercut me, overthrow me?!" Megatron asked Starscream with anger.
"Not true," Starscream told him, "I have always put your own well-being before my own."
Flashback: Masters and Students
As Starscream approached Megatron lying in space, he moved his servo towards the Decepticon warlord's chassis and plucked the shard of Dark Energon from it, causing him to look at Starscream as he fell back unconscious.
"How does this revolting chapter constitute attending to my well-being?" Megatron asked him.
Flashback: Out of his head
"I was simply trying to help by ridding you of the Dark Matter polluting your body," Starscream explained.
"Seems like I possess the only thing that would allow you to rise off that slab and walk again, my dearest Megatron," Starscream said as he surrounded the comatosed Megatron on the medical slab in the Nemesis' sickbay, just a few hours before Megatron, who was occupying Bumblebee's mind stabbed the shard of Dark Energon that he used to raise a horde of undead Cybertronian warriors as Terrorcons in the Cybertronian graveyard on Earth where Optimus and Ratchet fought against them.
Flashback: Rock Bottom
"I even risked being buried alive for you," Starscream added.
"I… I did not abandon you, Master. I returned to save you!" Starscream gasped when he saw Megatron alive after he attempted to extinguish his spark when he was holding up the rock pile ceiling that was crashing down towards him, "Look into my spark, Lord Megatron. My intentions were true."
"Were they, Starscream? Were they ever?!" Megatron asked Starscream, angrily as he walked up to him within the former seeker's mind.
Flashback: Rock Bottom
"Well, now who has hit rock bottom? What's that? I'm sorry. I can't hear you beneath all that rubble!" Starscream said, laughing evilly after the mine that Megatron was attempting to extinguish Starscream's spark in collapsed and Starscream escaping to safety outside the mine, "Farewell, Lord Megatron. May you rust in peace!"
He began to walk away from the mine, accomplishment filling his frame. Megatron was finally taken care of. He could finally rule the Decepticons… Then he remembered something.
"But you have survived far worse. If you managed to free yourself, you would blame me for your setback. And there is nowhere that I could possibly escape from your wrath. Or worse yet, your mindless followers will come looking for you and take credit for your rescue. Credit that could rightfully be mine!" He went on before screaming in anger with it echoing, "MEGATRON!"
"A word of advice? Stop thinking aloud," Megatron suggested to Starscream within the former seeker's mind.
"I don't want to play this game anymore," Starscream told Megatron, "Take the keys. We'll pretend I was never here."
"NO, Starscream," Megatron refused, "There are only two possible outcomes based upon what I find here in your twisted, little mind! If I do not deem that you are worthy of rejoining the Decepticons, you will perish on this very day."
"Isn't termination rather extreme?" Starscream asked as he whimpered in fear, "I mean, a really good trouncing usually straightens me out, doesn't it?"
Flashback: Darkness Rising part 4
Megatron was punishing Starscream after he accidentally caused Bulkhead to disable the Nemesis' interstellar navigational system when he had Laserbeak kidnap Fowler and when the former Wrecker, Bumblebee, Arcee and Chromette attempted to rescue the special agent with Miko following Bulkhead before Jack and Raf followed after her before the Decepticon warlord stepped on Starscream's face with his pede.
Flashback: Out of his head
Starscream transformed into his alternate mode to get away from an angry Megatron as he prepared for a hasty takeoff when he found out that the Decepticon warlord had emerged from his coma after he used Bumblebee's body to revitalize his body with the shard of Dark Energon that he used to raise a horde of undead Cybertronian warriors as Terrorcons in the Cybertronian graveyard on Earth where Optimus and Ratchet fought against them before he grabbed Starscream's rear tails connected to his main engine and spun him around a few times before throwing him onto the next wing of the Nemesis on his left.
"No, Master! Nooooo!" Starscream screamed and whimpered as Megatron began grabbing him by the face and dragged him into the warship just before he beated him up for leading the Decepticons while he was in a coma.
"Why wouldn't you wish to harness my talents for the Decepticon cause?" Starscream asked Megatron within his mind, "You and I have so much deviousness to offer."
Flashback: War for Cybertron
Starscream along with two fliers that had the same frame type as him but had different colors as one of them was painted blue, silver and black named Thundercracker and the other was painted purple, black and silver named Skywarp. They stood with a male Cybertronian, whose frame was painted white, red and black with blue optics along with parts that resembled that of a Cybertronian fighter jet named Jetfire as they were inside of a control room within Trypticon Station as the entrance to the room was blasted open by Megatron with Dark Energon when he found out about the station and Dark Energon and just before Starscream joined Megatron and the Decepticons.
As the Decepticon warlord blasted the door open, two male Cybertronians stood with him with one of them having their frame mostly black and some parts of his chassis and hips purple, a purple Decepticon insignia in the center of his chassis and two tank barrels over his back plate and this was the Combaticon named Brawl. The other one was mostly black as well along with purple and silver with a Decepticon insignia in the center of his chassis and parts all over his frame that resembled a Cybertronian sports car named Barricade.
"Dark Energon is mine to command!" Megatron told Starscream, Jetfire and the other fliers as he entered the command center, "Through my will alone shall Cybertron be restored!"
"It's too unstable, Megatron! Using that power…you're endangering our entire world!" Jetfire warned the Decepticon warlord.
"Teach me, Megatron," Starscream pleaded with Megatron as he stepped forward, "Teach me to wield Dark Energon, the way you do! And I will serve you."
"And what could you possibly offer me that I cannot simply take?" Megatron asked the air commander.
"The supply of Dark Energon aboard is nearly exhausted. I know how to manufacture more," Starscream explained, "There was once an Energon Bridge that fed this station directly. I know how to reconnect it."
"TRAITOR! Sentinel Zeta Prime will hear about this!" Jetfire exclaimed in anger before transforming into his alternate mode and flew away from the station as he took off.
"Shall I send Thundercracker and Skywarp to retrieve him...Lord Megatron?" Starscream asked Megatron.
"No, I want the Autobots' leader to know his doom approaches. Once we have this station online, nothing can stop me!" Megatron said as he walked towards the window that Jetfire flew out of the station from, "Now go. Find this Energon bridge. And reactivate it…for your new master." The three fliers then transformed into their alternate modes and flew out of the station's window as Decepticon insignias appeared on their wings.
Flashback: Darkness Rising part 2
The elevator lift of the Nemesis descended downwards towards the Energon mine with two Vehicons transporting the corpse of Cliffjumper on a Cybertronian gurney with his servos and pedes wrapped with metallic locks towards Starscream and Megatron after Megatron returned to Earth after being in space for three years to find a batch of Dark Energon.
"Consider it a 'welcome home' present," Starscream told Megatron.
"See how generous I can be, my liege?" Starscream asked Megatron.
"When it suits you," Megatron stated.
The Terrorcon that was once Cliffjumper jumped up from his gurney after Megatron stabbed a shard of Dark Energon into the deceased Autobot's chassis, he began screaming as he rushed towards the two vehicons, who aimed their blasters at him before he clobbered one of them and began beating him to death as the other Vehicon began shooting at him with their blaster before the Terrorcon of Cliffjumper clobbered him and began beating him to death as well.
"Master, that's your plan?! Bring Autobots back from the dead to attack us?!" Starscream asked Megatron in disbelief as they watched what the Terrorcon that was once Cliffjumper was doing to the two Vehicons.
Flashback: Darkness Rising part 1
"At other times, you could be quite insulant," Megatron went on as the memory switched to when Starscream killed Cliffjumper when he punched the hole in the Autobot's chassis with his servo.
"Apologies. It's just that I'd gone to so much trouble to terminate the Autobots in the first place," Starscream explained.
Flashback: Darkness Rising part 2
Megatron unsheathed his sword as the Terrorcon that was once Cliffjumper began running towards him before he used his sword to slash the Terrorcon in half before one half of the Terrorcon fell down to a platform below in the Energon mine.
"Trouble would have been facing him as a gladiator," Megatron stated.
"I've always considered my wits to be my sharpest weapon," Starscream told him.
Flashback: Triangulation
"Wait! You three are up to something," Starscream said when he was wearing the Apex Armor when he gained possession of it in Antarctica when both the Autobots were going after the four Iacon relics that were decoded by Trypticon after Megatron unintentionally woke him up from permanent stasis-lock and when he was battling Optimus, Chromette and Dreadwing in Antarctica after Megatron's first Lieutenant planted his detonators in a circle around him.
All Dreadwing did was hit the same button on that special remote of his and once again, Starscream heard the familiar sounds of rapid beeps. Multiple rapid beeps from multiple sources. Glancing around, he saw that Dreadwing had planted bombs in a circle around his position with Chromette's assistance. As Optimus, Dreadwing and Chromette began making a hasty retreat… The detonators went off, causing an explosion.
They were knocked off their pedes by a strong gust of wind and the force of fire. Starscream let out a long, dawn out, pain filled scream as he fell into the dark abyss that the explosion had created.
"You never learn, Starscream," Megatron told the former seeker as he watched the memory of Starscream falling into the dark abyss that both Dreadwing and Chromette had created by planting his first Lieutenant's bombs all around him in Antarctica, "Your arrogance will trump your wits every time."
Flashback: Shadowzone
"You cannot harm me while Dark Energon flows through my veins!" Starscream proclaimed when he went to resurrect Skyquake as an undead Terrorcon under his command to overthrow Megatron after the Decepticon warlord returned to take back command of the Decepticons after being in a coma for months and after Optimus and the other Autobots except for Arcee hid behind some boulders as she was back at the Autobots' base as the Ground Bridge operator as Optimus had his right servo transformed into his blaster and when Miko sneaked through the Ground Bridge portal to see the Autobots fight the Terrorcon and when Jack and Miko tried to stop her, only to fail before Optimus went to fire his Ion blaster at the Decepticon as Starscream aimed his right arm's missile at him, "I am invincible!" The seeker then screamed and leaned downwards as his right arm suddenly fell off right in front of him as he looked at his upper arm in horror.
Flashback: Deus ex Machina
A blue light of energy latched onto Bulkhead's chassis as Starscream used the Energon Harvester on him, causing the former Wrecker to have trouble moving forward and standing up when the Autobots were dealing with the trouble involving with the Energon Harvester, the unmineable Energon deposits in Greece and the Museum security guard taking Miko into custody when the Energon Harvester disappeared from the hand of the Greek God statue holding the Cybertronian relic.
"You're a big one. This could take a while," Starscream said before Bulkhead stood back up as he grabbed the Energon Harvester by one servo and destroyed it with a punch from the other servo, causing him to punch Starscream in the face plate as well.
Flashback: Partners
"What?! She's taking credit for scraping him now, too? That was my doing!" Starscream blurted out to Arcee when he was the Autobots' prisoner and revealed that he was the one who terminated Cliffjumped, causing her to transform both of her servos into her blasters, while her sister, Optimus, Bulkhead and Bumblebee were chasing after Airachnid for the Immobilizer as he began to pt on an unconvincing performance of crying, "No! No! No!"
Flashback: New Recruit
"Any last words, Smokescreen?" Starscrean asked Smokescreen, who at the time joined Team Prime a few hours before as he wore the Apex Armor when he went for the Red Energon that humans had discovered after going through the Information Superhighway before Raf did the same and just before he lost the Iacon relic to the Autobots before Smokescreen, with the Phase Shifter activated and over his wrist ran towards the former seeker and jumped up and kicked, going right through the Apex Armor, but not Starscream as he literally kicked him out of the Apex Armor.
Flashback: Operation: Bumblebee part 2
"My T-Cog," Silas requested Starscream when the former seeker met up back with him after Bumblebee infiltrated the M.E.C.H base when they stole his T-Cog from him and when Starscream was aligned with them and just before they stole his own T-Cog for their own Knock-off of Optimus Prime, which Miko dubbed, Nemesis Prime.
"A, uh, a temporary setback. More Autobots. Other T-Cogs. We shall find a replacement soon enough," Staqrscream told the M.E.C.H leader after he announced that Bumblebee's T-Cog was destroyed, when in reality, it was just damaged.
"Not soon enough," Silas corrected with a sneer, "Now."
As soon as Starscream heard the M.E.C.H agents around Silas charge and aim their guns at him, he knew he was in trouble. Bright lights could be seen from the other side of the forest as Starscream's screams could be heard all over as the M.E.C.H agents attacked their former consultant and left their mark.
Starscream screamed so loud that the whole forest heard him scream the word, "No!"
Starscream groaned as he woke up in the middle of the forest, a while later. At first, he was dazed. He didn't know how he wound up where he was. Then he remembered.
"What?!" Starscream gasped as he stood up, walking towards the warehouse.
At first, it was quiet. He saw nothing. Then…he saw a Ground Bridge portal open up. Optimus, Arcee, Chromette and Bulkhead were the people that raced through the portal.
"Autobots!" Starscream shuddered as he backed away and went to transform… only to find that he couldn't, "My T-Cog!"
It was then that he remembered the full details of what happened. When Starscream came out and told Silas that Bumblebee's T-Cog had been destroyed during the altercation with Bumblebee, Silas wasn't too happy. Not one to wait for the opportunity to attack another Autobot and steal their T-Cog, Silas ordered his operatives to attack Starscream instead. When Starscream was unconscious, they opened him up, navigated their way through his circuits and stole his T-Cog.
There was no way for him to battle the Autobots in this mortifying manner. Sure, he could fight and attack them with his missiles. But his advantage over them during their past battles was his ability to turn into a jet. Without that advantage, they could kill him or capture him and hold him as a Prisoner of War. So he did something that only a coward was good at and that was to run.
"You no longer possess the ability to take flight?!" Megatron asked Starscream with anger and surprise.
"Uh, yes, I-I was going to bring that up," Starscream told the Decepticon warlord within his own mind, "And, as you might imagine, my predicament pains me to no end."
Flashback: Armada
"Fortunately, the Harbinger's tracking systems have remained synced with Megatron's warship," Starscream said, walking outside of the Harbinger warship with his clones just before his clones' failed mission to assassinate Megatron took place and when he found out they had T-Cogs and could transform, "Of course, we shall require a means of reaching the…"
Startled when he heard the familiar sound of a Cybertronian transforming, Starscream quickly turned around. When he did, he saw that his clones had transformed into their vehicle modes. Starscream was surprised. He didn't even have a T-Cog anymore due to M.E.C.H. How are they able to possess the ability to transform?!
"You can transform?!" Starscream gasped in surprise before quickly catching himself, "Of course you can. How else can you fly to the ship? That was a test. Of which, you all passed."
Flashback: Triangulation
"I do hope that you might see fit to express your gratitude for the Omega Keys by restoring my jet mode," Starscream went on as the memory switched to that of when he went to the Antarctic riding his Cybertronian hoverscooter before he found the Apex armor, "After all, would I not be more valuable to you with wings?"
Flashback: Masters and Students
Starscream jumped down from the cliff that he was standing on with Soundwave before transforming into his alternate mode and flew out towards space to the destroyed Space Bridge after Soundwave's scans detected a second Decepticon life signal near Earth and that one was being Megatron when he was taking command of the Decepticons just before he found out that Megatron was alive and in a coma.
Flashback: Rock Bottom
Megatron fired shots at the hastily retreating Starscream when he was abandoning Megatron right after Arcee ambushed them in the Energon mine after Megatron planned to terminate him. However, each shot he made had missed the fleeing Decepticon commander. With ease, Starscream transformed and took flight as he retreated from the stripped mine.
Flashback: Darkness Rising part 2
Starscream jumped into the Nemesis' elevator shaft after dropping the bomb that was intended to kill Optimus and the rest of the Autobots at the Energon mine that he and Megatron were standing inside of when the Decepticon warlord brought Cliffjumper back to life as a Terrorcon and when the Autobots invaded the mine when they received Cliffjumper's signal coming back online before he transformed into his General Dynamics F-16 Fighting Falcon military jet alternate mode and flew out of the mine through the elevator shaft.
Flashback: Darkness Rising part 4
Starscream evaded the firepower of Arcee, Bumblebee and Bulkhead with his right arm's servo transformed into his blaster when he had Fowler kidnapped and kept him in the brig of the Nemesis and kept evading their shots before jumping up in the air and transformed into his alternate mode as he flew out of the brig at a high speed.
Flashback: Orion Pax part 2
Starscream was flying through the halls of the Nemesis as a Jet Vehicon was chasing him in their alternate mode, while Ground Vehicons were shooting at him from the floor below with their servos transformed into their blasters before he knocked them to the floor when he snuck onto the Nemesis to steal Energon cubes when Optimus had amnesia and discovered him aboard the Decepticon warship.
He then transformed and jumped onto the Jet Vehicon that was chasing him and transformed his right arm's servo into his blaster and began shooting at the Jet Vehicon with it before jumping off of the Jet Vehicon and transformed back into his alternate mode.
"Ohh, I do transform with an exceptional sense of style," Starscream boasted as the memory of him launching a missile from one of his wings towards the door to the Nemesis' hangar before it collided with the door.
"I said that aloud, didn't I?" Starscream asked Megatron with embarrassment within his own mind.
Flashback: Partners
"Megatron tried to extinguish my spark in cold blood, then all but replaced me with that traitorous wretch, Airachnid! She abandoned me! Left me for scrap! So why not rat them out?" Starscream asked the Autobots when they captured him after Airachnid left him inside of the Harbinger when she was trying to find the Decepticon prototype weapon, the Immobilizer and when he attempted to defect to the Autobots before he revealed that he terminated Cliffjumper to Arcee.
"No one asked you to leave the Decepticon fold," Megatron told Starscream.
Flashback: Rock Bottom
"But I wasn't exactly made to feel welcome at the time," Starscream explained as the memory switched to that of Megatron aiming and charging his Fusion Cannon at him when he attempted to extinguish his spark at the abandoned and stripped Energon mine.
"Master, please! Give me one more chance! I beg of you!" Starscream pleaded as he tried to shield himself from any potential fire from the cannon.
Flashback: Inside Job
"Despite the fact that I had seen the error of my ways and dedicated my spark to you" Starscream went on as the memory switched to when he arrived on the Nemesis and revealed the four Omega Keys to him about an hour or so ago.
Flashback: Partners
"I have gained a clear understanding of my place in this universe, of who I am, of who I was always meant to be, Starscream, Second-in-command, humble servant to Lord Megatron," Starscream said, when he was confessing his sins to Soundwave, a few hours before he went rogue.
Flashback: Sick Mind
"Until the next opportunity arises to subvert me," Megatron argued as the memory of when he was on spark support and in a coma when Starscream and Knockout were discussing what to do with Megatron in his vegetative state.
"And how is the patient doing today?" Starscream asked the Decepticon medic.
"Same old," Knockout replied.
"An inglorious fate that he should remain in this vegetative state," Starscream told him.
"On the contrary," Knockout argued before pointing at his helm with one of his digits for a second, "Megatron's body may be scrap metal, but his mind is still percolating."
"Keep that to yourself," Starscream told him, "That blasted Soundwave sees and hears everything."
"The eyes and ears of the Decepticons," Knockout said, agreeing with him.
"Well, as long as their master remains in limbo, so does their cause," Starscream stated, "The Decepticons deserve a strong, alert leader."
"One who would require a loyal second in command," Knockout added, slyly.
"A candidate would need to earn that post by making a strong case to said eyes and ears," Starscream said after chuckling.
"A case for showing mercy, Lord Starscream?" Knockout smirked.
"Uh oh, does this thing have a fast-forward button or, better yet, erase?!" Knockout muttered to himself as he began clicking buttons on the console in front of him, hoping to skip or erase the memory of Starscream of when they decided that he would be his second-in-command if they pulled the plug on Megatron's spark support when he was in a coma for months with no sign of recovery in sight before a memory of later that day of when Bumblebee was inside of Megatron's mind for a cure for Cybonic Plague after Optimus infected with it and when they along with Soundwave walked into the sickbay where the scout along with Arcee and Chromette were, hiding from the Decepticons.
"Knockout, if you would be so kind as to provide your expert medical opinion to Soundwave for the historical record," the memory of Starscream said as he, Knockout and Soundwave walked up to Megatron's body in the sickbay.
"Simply put, unaided, Megatron could remain in this deathless slumber forever," Knockout told the Decepticons' chief of communications.
"Our master would not have wanted to be seen this way, to stand idly by while he remains captive in his own body. It's not just," Starscream added before Soundwave walked forward and pointed at Megatron's brainwave activity with the digits of his right arm.
"Brainwave activity, not evidence of consciousness, but merely of an endless dream from which Megatron may never wake," Knockout told the silent mech.
"Soundwave, we must face reality. Megatron is lost to us," Starscream said, solemnly to the Decepticons' chief of communications.
"The only honorable option would be to show him mercy," Knockout mumbled, sadly.
"A simple throw of the switch," Starscream explained.
"When Megatron comes out of it, he'll do more than just stick me back in that wall," Knockout said as he walked away from the console with fear, "He'll have Starscream's head and mine!" He then clutched the top of his helm before looking up at Megatron's frame as an idea came to form in his processor as he began walking towards the back of the medical slab that Megatron was laying on, "But…if I disconnect before a proper power-down, the link is severed and the big guy will never merge from Starscream's head." He then grabbed the end of the Cortical Psychic Patch that was plugged into the back of the medical slab that Megatron was lying on top of.
As Knockout went to unplug the end of the Cortical Psychic Patch from the medical slab that Megatron was lying on top of, Dreadwing entered the laboratory and stood on the other side of the medical slab that the Decepticon warlord was laying on top of and placed his servo over his on the end of the Cortical Psychic patch that was plugged into the medical slab that Megatron was laying on top of, startling Knockout as he gasped in shock.
"Everything okay here?" Dreadwing asked the Decepticon medic before he removed his servo from the end of the Cortical Psychic Patch that was plugged into the medical slab that Megatron was laying on top of.
"Just checking cable integrity," Knockout lied as he fixed the end of the Cortical Psychic Patch that was plugged into the medical slab that Megatron was laying on top of.
"Is it any wonder that I've come to value loyalty above all else?" Megatron said from the monitor within Starscream's mind.
"Well, you know, we are Decepticons," Starscream answered after a quick laugh, "I'm sure that your beloved Dreadwing isn't perfect."
"No one is perfect, Starscream, but like his departed twin, Dreadwing understands honor," Megatron told him.
Flashback: Masters and Students
"Awaken warrior. Rise and serve your new master!" Starscream proclaimed as the stasis-lock device that Skyquake was entombed within slid open just before he went to attack Optimus, Chromette and Bumblebee, only to be terminated in the process.
"Skyquake serves only one Master," Skyquake said, introducing himself as he walked out of his stasis-lock device and pounded both of his fists together.
"Excellent," Starscream stated, "Your loyalty and devotion will set a fine example for the troops. No need to be timid, Skyquake. You may bow."
"You fail to grasp my meaning," Skyquake told him, "I am here on a mission assigned to me by my one Master, Megatron."
"Yes, him," Starscream muttered, "Sadly, Megatron is no longer with us."
"Impossible," Skyquake said with disbelief.
"Why is this so difficult for everyone to accept?" Starscream asked himself.
The memory then switched to Skyquake standing back up after Optimus punched him and scanning Fowler's VTOL with Bumblebee and Chromette standing around Optimus as Skyquake jumped up into the air and transformed into a VTOL and flew up into the air before it switched to Bumblebee jumping onto Skyquake's wing as the Decepticon flew in his alternate mode within the desert canyon. The memory soon switched to Bumblebee buzzing a scream as Skyquake began to lose altitude from Bumblebee punching and pulling wiring out of him with Fowler approaching the Autobot scout from beside Skyquake before jumping onto the special agent's VTOL as Skyquake crashed into the canyon below, killing himself, instantly.
Flashback: Shadowzone
"Ah, the grave site of the mighty Skyquake. So quick to reject my authority while you lived, but as the first of my reanimated warriors, you shall bow to my command," Starscream said after flying through canyons in his alternate mode towards the grave site of Skyquake before transforming into his robot form just before he sed a shard of Dark Energon to resurrect Skyquake as a Terrorcon as he snapped the shard in two as he threw one piece of the shard of Dark Energon into the rocks that were burying Skyquake. It bounced from rock to rock before disappearing into one of the rocks.
He plunged the other piece into his spark chamber, where his Decepticon insignia was as his optics turned from red to purple.
"Yes! Power of Dark Energon be mine!" He sneered as his frame flowed with purple flames and growled, "Symbiosis. I can feel it!"
"I understand he perished that day," Megatron said as a memory of the missile from the arm that Jack fired from Starscream's severed right arm when he, Raf and Miko were trying to escape from the Shadowzone and the Terrorcon of Skyquake after he fired the missile with the middle digit of Starscream's severed arm, which exploded as it hit its target as his right firearm fall off of his arm.
"Well, Skyquake is neither living nor dead and no doubt continues to wander through some dimensional neverrealm in search for his missing limb," Starscream explained to Megatron within his mind before chuckling nervously.
"It would be wise to keep that to yourself around the warship," Megatron told Starscream as he walked around the former seeker within Starscream's mind as Knockout and Dreadwing watching from the monitor inside of the laboratory with Dreadwing narrowing his optics in anger at Starscream for desecrating his twin brother's grave site.
"Awkward," Knockout muttered, sheepishly as he rubbed the back of his helm.
"B-But, does this mean-" Starscream began to ask Megatron within his mind.
"Yes," Megatron answered as he walked away from him, "I will allow you to return to our ranks if only because you are more valuable beside me than against me." He then turned back around to face him.
"Oh! Thank the Allspark!" Starscream said, happily as he bent down on his knees.
"Infighting has nearly destroyed the Decepticons during your absence. We must operate as a united front if we are to revive and conquer Cybertron," Megatron explained before turning to face the invisible camera within Starscream's mind, "That means each and every one of us, Knockout!"
"Megatron sure knows how to patch things up, eh, Dreadwing?" Knockout said as he shivered before turning around, only to find that Dreadwing had left the room, "Dreadwing?"
Meanwhile outside of the Nemesis, on top of the Decepticon warship, Dreadwing was standing on top of the Nemesis as rain drenched his frame and threatened to make him rust as lightning crackled around him and threatened to strike him as thunder roared all around him and drown him in the rain. But nothing could stop him from unleashing his anger from Megatron and Starscream in one, powerful scream.
