Sorry again I've haven't uploaded a new chapter in so long. I stole my brothers 3DS and have been playing a lot of Pokemon games. Last month I finished Pokemon X and this month I finished Alpha Sapphire. I loved Mega-Evolution so much! I'm starting Pokemon Sun but I haven't gotten really far in it. Anyways, thanks everyone for your support! Enjoy!
Ash, Dawn, Serena, Clemont, Bonnie, Tierno, Trevor and Shauna were in the stands watching the end of Alain's battle take place. He won overwhelmingly against Remo and his Mega Garchomp, only using his Charizard and Metagross. Everyone was in awe of Alain's strength. Clemont pointed out how in all of Alain's battles, he has only used his Metagross and Charizard.
"So we don't know how strong he truly is…" said Serena.
Ash looked down at Alain with so much excitement. Although he was very focused on his battle with Sawyer, he couldn't help but be excited for the potential to face Alain in the finals.

In another section of the stadium, Professor Sycamore looked at Alain with much worry in his eyes. He watched the boy as he walked out of the battlefield.

"Hey Ash, I think it's time" said Clemont.
Ash and Pikachu nodded and then stood up.
"Good luck out there Ash" exclaimed Serena.
"You'll be so cool!" Yelled Bonnie.
Shauna, Trevor and Tierno both turned around and wished the Kanto-native good luck.
Dawn stood up and gave Ash a hug. "Show everyone just how incredible you are. I know you can do this"
Pikachu jumped onto his trainer's shoulder after Ash and Dawn released each other.
"No need to worry" said Ash.
With that, the two high-fived and Ash ran off to get ready for his

Right before the entrance to the stadium, Ash threw all of his Pokeballs into the air. All 6 of his Kalos Pokemon were standing right before him.
"Alright, it's time to battle Sawyer!"
All of his Pokemon nodded.
"I know I have made mistakes in the past, and I'm so grateful that you guys have stuck around, that means a lot to me. I believe in you more than I can say"
All of Ash's Pokemon cheered.
"Let's win this together!"
Finally, they all let out one final cheer before Ash returned all except Pikachu. Pikachu then jumped onto his shoulder and Ash reached down into his pocket and pulled out Dawn's ribbon. Ash then pinned it, right onto of his heart. He held onto it while looking downwards.
Dawn believes in me, so there's no need to worry
Ash then looked up and then at his long-time partner. They both nodded at each other in agreement and walked out onto the battlefield.

Back in the stands, the rest of the group was waiting for the battle to start. Each of the trainer's pictures were now on the big screen which made everyone even more anxious.
"Ash is battling Sawyer… I'm getting nervous" said Bonnie as she squeezed Dedenne a little tighter.
Shauna looked behind her towards Ash's traveling companions. "Hey Clemont, didn't you tell me that Ash lost to Sawyer awhile back?"
Clemont nodded.
Tierno spoke up. "This is going to be a great battle, Sawyer is very strategic, while Ash has a lot of passion and yet, they still remind me of one and other. It's like they have the same battle vibes"
"Sawyer has been analyzing Ash's battle style in and out so that he could catch up to him, maybe that's what you're referring to" said Clemont.
The commentator then announced that the battle would be commencing soon, Ash and Sawyer each walked out of their respective tunnels and to their positions.
The crowd roared with cheers, but no one was cheering louder than a particular blue-haired girl.
"LET'S GO ASH! I KNOW YOU CAN DO IT!"
No one was surprised that Dawn was cheering loudly, they were more surprised at how loudly she was.

"Come, get a shot of their faces!" Said Malva.
Team Rocket then sluggishly, hurried to the edge of the stadium, where their boss was watching for them. Malva had been tirelessly working them, broadcasting the entire Kalos League.
"I'm just too tired to take headshots of the clueless twerp" said Jessie, she then began to fall into her own dream world. "They should be taking headshots of me"
Meowth and James patted her on the shoulder, reminding her than this was the last battle of the day.

On one side of the stadium, Sawyer was looking at his opponent with determination. He had a flashback to when he left Ash in Snowbelle City. He was so happy that Ash had found his way again. This ignited Sawyer's flame even more, he wanted to beat Ash more than he ever had before.
The battlefield began to rise from the bottom on the stadium. It was revealed that the battle would be taking place in a forest.
The referee explained the rules and then lifted his hand. Once he lowered it, the battle had officially begun.
"Hawlucha, I choose you!"
Hawlucha emerged from its Pokeball right on top of where the big screen was. The crowd was in awe of the costume it was wearing. It was wearing a mask and a cape perfectly complimented its fighting spirt.
Hawlucha then dove down from the big screen, right in front of its trainer. It was ready to get it his all.
…
"Hawlucha looks different?" Said Bonnie.
Dawn and Serena smiled at each other. Dawn then turned to face the little girl. "You see…"
The whole gang just finished having dinner, everyone had brought their Pokemon out and were playing all around. Dawn and Serena were sitting down on a blanket, watching all of the Pokemon play together. Suddenly, they each felt a tap on their shoulder. They saw Hawlucha holding a piece of yellow cloth. Hawlucha then swung it around its body to look like a cape.
"I see!" Said Dawn.
"So Dawn and I have been working together to come up with a design for Hawlucha's costume!" Finished Serena.
Clemont smiled. "That was very kind of you two!"
"Hawlucha wanted to make a grand entrance…"
"just like a Forest Champion!" Continued Serena.
…
Hawlucha then took off the costume by throwing it dramatically in the air. It then posed in its usual fashion.
"So Hawlucha is going first…" said Sawyer, he then reached for his Pokeball. "Then I'm going with this! Go Slaking!"
The big Lazy Pokemon emerged and sluggishly rubbed its stomach.
"Let's go Hawlucha, use Karate Chop!" Commanded Ash. Hawlucha then jumped high into the air and hit Slaking right in the stomach. When Hawlucha landed, Slaking simply rubbed its stomach once again as if nothing happened.
"High Jump Kick!" Once again, Hawlucha attacked, but Slaking it seemed as though Slaking was completely unaffected.
Following Ash's instructions, Hawlucha landed another attack, this time being X- Scissor. Just like before, Slaking shook it off.
"Karate Chop!" Hawlucha then quickly ran towards the Lazy Pokemon and unleashed a series of Karate Chops. After completing his attacks, Hawlucha took back, confident that this time, Slaking would be fazed. When it looked, Slaking had some marks, but it was still standing.
"Now Slaking, use Slack Off!" The Lazy Pokemon yawned and its body glowed a bright green light and all of its battle marks were gone.

"Right now?" Said Clemont.
Everyone looked to the inventor confused as to why he looked so perplexed.
Clemont continued. "Slack Off is a move in which the user relaxes so much that it recovers its strength!"
Dawn looked back on the battlefield. "Even so, Slaking can't take too many of those hits, its gonna tire out soon"
Everyone was still confused and wondering was to what Sawyer's strategy could be.

Back on the battlefield, Ash knew that Sawyer was up to something. He didn't want Sawyer to act on his plan so he decided to strike fast.
"High Jump Kick, go!"
Hawlucha then charged at Slaking and was able to strike right at its stomach. In order to prepare for its next attack, Hawlucha flew put into the air. Following Ash's instructions, Hawlucha used X-Scissor and again made contact. After the smoke from the explosion cleared, Slaking was revealed to be completely fine. This shocked Hawlucha.
"All right, Flying Press!"
Hawlucha flew up in the air and made his ending pose before spinning and charging right towards Slaking.
With perfect timing, Sawyer commanded Slaking to use Counter. Slaking stood up and as Hawlucha was charging towards it, it launched Hawlucha right into a tree.
"Hawlucha!"
After the smoke from the collision disappeared, it was revealed that Hawlucha had fainted. Ash returned the Wrestling Pokemon and thanked it for all of its hard work. Ash then looked right at his opponent. "So that is what you were after the whole time?"
Sawyer nodded. "I had always thought about using Slaking against Hawlucha. I thought that it would have a difficult time if its opponent didn't defend"
Ash scratched under his nose. "I'm impressed. You took Hawlucha's battling style and used it against us"
…
"So that was his strategy all along…" said Serena.
Clemont crossed his arms. "Looks like Sawyer thought through his game plan a lot more than we thought"
Dawn looked onto the battlefield with stern eyes. Even though she knew that Ash had grown a lot since then, she was still worried that this battle would turn out similarly to Ash's battle with Paul at Lake Acuity.

Ash reached for his next Pokeball. "Talonflame, I choose you!"
Talonflame came out of its Pokeball and flew all around the battlefield before landing right in front of its trainer.
"Let's do this! Use Steel Wing!"
Using its incredible speed, Talonflame quickly rushed towards Slaking and made direct contact. Even though it took damage, Slaking still looked unfazed. Sawyer then commanded Slaking to use Slack Off. The same thing as before occurred again.
Slaking has to be feeling Hawlucha's attacks…
Ash, not wanting a repeat of what happened with Hawlucha to occur again, instructed Talonflame to continue its attacks by using Flame Charge. As Talonflame was flying over to attack, Slaking followed instructions and used Hammer Arm. Once it got up, Slaking had to take a knee which Ash and Sawyer both made note of.
Talonflame was able to flying out quickly.
"Yes! Use Brave Bird!"
To deliver the final blow, Talonflame charged again at Slaking as it was recovering from the last attack. Talonflame was able to hit Slaking right in the stomach, causing it to faint.
Ash and Pikachu cheered as Sawyer returned Slaking and thanked it for all of its hard work. Sawyer then looked right into Ash's eyes, feeling satisfied, he then released his next Pokemon, Clawitzer.
"Use Aqua Jet!"
Clawitzer jumped into the air and charged at Talonflame. Ash told Talonflame to dodge it, soon realizing that Clawitzer was following Talonflame.
"Dive in!" Yelled Ash.
"Use Ice Beam!"
Clawitzer sent out a powerful Ice Beam which hit Talonflame on its wing.
"Use Flame Charge!"
Talonflame's body set on fire as it rushed towards Clawitzer, this ultimately melted the ice on Talonflame's wing.
"Aqua Jet, let's go!"
It was a head on collision between two powerful attacks. Talonflame, not being able to withstand the type advantage, was knocked out.

"What a unique battling style…" said Shauna.
Tierno nodded. "Sawyer is really thinking out of the box. It almost reminds me of Ash…"
Dawn smiled. It was really clear to her that everyone who Ash has met on his Kalos journey really look up to him. This was the complete opposite with her journey with Ash. It seemed like she and maybe Brock were the only ones who truly looked up to the boy.

"Thanks a lot, Talonflame" Ash said as he returned the Scorching Pokemon.
"I've been inspired by your ideas, to train hard and think in a different way! Talonflame is best known for its incredible speed. I knew that if I could make it stop for just a moment, then I could win"
Ash readjusted his hat. "That's awesome Sawyer!"

In the audience, Team Rocket were watching closely, not because the necessarily wanted to, but because they were broadcasting the event.
"The twerp is seeming to be rather, twerp-ish" said Jessie.
James nodded. "The pressure is on…"
"You don't think he's going to lose, do ya?' Asked Meowth.
Jessie sighed with a slight look of worry. "For some reason, that kind of stinks…"

Serena, Clemont and Bonnie had the same expression of worry. "It seems like everything has been going Sawyer's way. Sawyer had Ash all figure out" said Serena.
Clemont nodded. "Yeah… like Sawyer's taken everything he's learned from Ash to heart! All of his hard work is paying off!"
"Sawyer isn't the only one that has worked hard though!" Said Dawn. She looked at everyone right in the eye. "Ash is the hardest worker I know, there is no way that he is going to lose!"
Everyone nodded in agreement.
Dawn then looked back on the battlefield, starting right at Ash. "There isn't anyone in the world that can duplicate Ash we all know. There's no need to worry!"

Ash knew that he couldn't let all of Sawyer's strategies get to him. He learned a long time ago to have confidence in his battling style.
"Okay, buddy, it's your turn!"
Pikachu immediately jumped off of his partner's shoulder and was excited to get to battle.
"Let's get going and use the forest for cover!"
Using its incredible speed, Pikachu ran all around the forest stadium, jumping from branch to branch. Ash then commanded Pikachu to use Thunderbolt. Pikachu suddenly emerged from the forest and unreleased its signature move.
"Dodge it!"
Clawitzer was able to dodge the powerful attack just in time. Once Pikachu landed, it followed its partner's instructions and charged at Clawitzer using a Quick Attack. Once again, Clawitzer was just in time by jumping into the air.
"Use Ice Beam!"
While still in the air, Clawitzer was able to launch the powerful Ice Beam. Pikachu was able to dodge the attack by also jumping into the air. Showing how in perfect sync the two are, Pikachu was charging up an Electro Ball just as Ash was calling out the attack. Sawyer then commanded Clawitzer to use Dragon Pulse. The two attack collided. The collision was so strong, that each Pokemon was sent flying towards the ground.
Sawyer knew that if he wanted to win this battle, he need to beat Pikachu as soon as possible. "Aqua Jet, let's go!"
"Use the forest to dodge it!"
Pikachu then jumped into the trees to avoid getting hit. Unlike before with Talonflame, Clawitzer was not able to keep up with Pikachu as it had a more objects to move getting hit with. Trying to get a better sense as to where Pikachu was, Clawitzer stopped in the middle of the battlefield to look around.
"Use Iron Tail!"
Pikachu the emerged from the forest, as it was charging up its attack, Sawyer commanded Clawitzer to catch Pikachu's tail. This action shocked Ash.
"Stay right there and use Water Pulse!"
"Electro Ball!, let's go"
It was a matter of who could release the attack first. Suddenly, a collision of a bright yellow light appeared. Pikachu then jumped out of Clawitzer's grasp.
"Yse Thunderbolt!"
As it was falling in the air, Pikachu was able to unleash the powerful attack. Clawitzer had no time to react and was hit hard, causing it to faint.

Bonnie threw her hands into the air. "Pikachu and Ash won! Yippee!"
Serena smiled. "Now it's two against two!"
"See, there's no need to worry!" Said Dawn.
…
In another section of the audience, Professor Sycamore was clapping at the sight of the battle. "Such a wonderful and intriguing battle between them! One to remember!"
To the right of Professor Sycamore, the Kalos Champion nodded her head. "You can see just how much trust is between each trainer and their Pokemon"

Sawyer returned his Pokemon and thanked it for everything it did.
I expect nothing less in a battle with Ash. Sawyer then looked right at his opponent. I'm glad you're back! You're the guy I look up to.
Sawyer then chucked. "You never fail to surprise me every time we battle!"
Ash smiled. "That was close! It was because of Pikachu that we won" said Ash looked down proudly at his best friend.
"Pika!"
Sawyer smiled as he reached for his new Pokemon. He then threw the back to reveal a powerful Aegislash.
"Let's keep this up! Go back into the forest!"
Pikachu nodded in excitement and it jumped from branch to branch.
"Aegislash, use Sacred Sword!"
Aegislash then separated its sword from its shield and the sword glowed a bright blue color, causing it to expand. Aegislash then follow Pikachu all over the forest, cutting down each branch that Pikachu stepped on. Aegislash ended up cutting lots of the trees that were nearby, ruining Pikachu's cover.
Ash readjusted his hat. "Let's see what you're up to, Sawyer! Pikachu, use Iron Tail!"
Pikachu then jumped into the air and its tail began to glow.
"King's Shield, go!"
As Pikachu was charging towards Aegislash, Aegislash quickly re-inserted it sword inside its shield, creating a rough barrier that Pikachu could not break through. Then, Pikachu landed and felt strange. Ash remember that if Pikachu attacks when Aegislash is using King's Shield, Pikachu's attack power weakens. Ash was in a tight place.
"Use Sacred Sword!"
"Dodge it quick!"
Pikachu was able to dodge the attack using its quick movements. Pikachu then ran towards Aegislash but this time, got hit hard and was sent flying back. It was clear that Pikachu took lots of damage but it was still able to fight.
"Use Sacred Sword once again!"
Aegislash then quickly charged towards Pikachu. Following Ash's commands Pikachu was able to dodge from of the attacks. Due to Sawyer's strategic plans, Pikachu was a lot slower than before and wasn't able to keep on dodging Aegislash's fierce attacks.
"Use Thunderbolt!"
Pikachu then jumped around to try and confuse Aegislash then it jumped into the air to release its attack. During this time, Sawyer instructed Aegislash to use King's Shield. While watching Aegislash perform the move, Ash had an idea. Due to King's Shield, Pikachu's attack did not do much, if any, damage.
"I have an idea that I think will work" Ash explained to his partner. "I know it's a really big risk, but its worth a shot"
Pikachu nodded in agreement, having full trust in whatever Ash was planning.
"I believe in you buddy!"
…
Dawn smiled. "Sawyer better watch out, when Ash gets that expression on his face, you know he's up to something!"
Everyone looked at Dawn confused, not really understanding what expression she was referring to.
…
"Okay Pikachu, use Iron Tail!"
Pikachu then used the attack not on Aegislash, but on the ground, causing all of the wood pieces which Aegislash previously cut up to fly into the air. Pikachu also flew into the air along with the wood.
Sawyer was confused by whatever Ash was planning. "Use Fury Cutter!"
Ash saw this as a perfect chance. "Now, use the trees!"
Pikachu was so fast and agile that it was able to once again, use the trees for cover. Aegislash was to able to keep up with Pikachu and ended up cutting the wood into smaller pieces. From behind, Pikachu then charged right towards Aegislash.
"I thought you would do that! Use King's Shield!"
Aegislash was preparing to re-insert its sword into its shield when Ash called out, "Now Pikachu! Use that piece of wood!"
Pikachu then grabbed the wood and threw it right where Aegislash's sword and shield were supposed to connect. This stopped Aegislash from being able to use King's Shield.
"Use Thunderbolt!"
Pikachu then released the attack and because Aegislash was unable to use King's Shield, it was a direct hit. Not being able to handle the super effective move, Aegislash fell to the ground and it had fainted.

The crowd cheered as they never would have expected Ash to use such a tatic.
Serena, on the other hand, let out a sign in relief.
Dawn just looked at the boy in complete awe.
He never fails to amaze me
Bonnie was cheering hard for Pikachu and Ash while Clemont simply said, "That was a classic Ash win!"

Sawyer sighed as he returned his Pokemon "Aegislash, take a good rest"
"Come here buddy!" Said Ash and Pikachu jumped into his best friend's arms. Ash was so proud of what Pikachu had been able to accomplish.
The forest stadium then began to change as three of Sawyer's Pokemon were unable to battle.
Sawyer then looked and saw Ash petting and thanking his Pokemon.
What a crazy idea! I never would have guessed that Ash would have done something like that. So many things could have gone wrong.
Sawyer then overheard Ash telling Pikachu that it was because of it that they won.
So that's it! Ash and Pikachu trust each other fully!
The new battlefield was emerging from the ground and it was revealed to be a badlands battlefield. Each trainer sent out their next Pokemon with Ash releasing Noivern and Sawyer releasing Salamance. Both trainers chose Dragon types.
"Noivern, use Boomburst!
Sawyer quickly reacted. "Dodge it quick!"
Using its powerful ears, Noivern launched the attack. Salamance was able to fly around to dodge the attack. Due to Noivern's speed, Salamance was not able to completely dodge and got hit. Despite taking damage, Salamance was still able to stay flying.
The two trainers commanded Noivern and Salamance to use two powerful Dragon-type moves, Dragon Claw and Dragon Rush respectively. The two attack collided head on with either side not giving up. Ultimately, Noivern was not able to handle the fierce attack of Salamance and was sent flying back.
"Noivern, are you okay?" Asked Ash.
Noivern nodded, signaling that it could still battle.
Sawyer knew that he couldn't waste time with Noivern. He then instructed Salamance to use Incinerate. Fireballs emerged around Salamance and they were then sent flying towards Noivern. Noivern was able to dodge each and every fireball that was coming towards it until it was right in front of Salamance.
"Dragon Tail, go!"
Noivern, being so close to Salamance, had no time to react. It got hit with the super effective move. Even though it had taken lots of damage, Noivern wasn't going to give up that easily and was still ready to battle.
Sawyer then commanded Salamance to use Incinerate once more. Noivern learned from last time and dodged, but was sure to keep its distance.
"Use Boomburst!" Said Ash.
Seeing that a fireball was coming at it, Noivern destroyed it using the move, creating a large ball of smoke. Following Ash's commands, Noivern used Acrobatics and due to its incredible hearing, it could find where Salamance was in the smoke. Sawyer realized this and called for Protect. Salamance was able to hear the command just in time and was able to block off Noivern's attack.
"Dragon Rush, let's go!"
"Use Acrobatics!"
It was another head on collision that resulted in a huge smoke explosion. The audience was on the edge of their seats waiting for the smoke to clear to see what happened to the two Pokemon. After the smoke cleared, it was revealed that both Salamance and Noivern were knocked out in the collision.
Each trainer thanked their Pokemon for a great battle and released their next Pokemon. Sawyer released Slurpuff while Ash released Goodra. This action took the whole audience by surprise. Goodra was at a clear disadvantage.
This choice made Sawyer sweat a little. Goodra was the only Pokemon which he had never battled before and therefore couldn't come up with a solid plan.
"Use Flamethrower!" Yelled Sawyer.
"Ice Beam, let's go!"
The fire and ice attacks collided with a mist resulting it. Sawyer, wanting to use the mist as cover quickly commanded Slurpuff to use Dazzling Gleam. This super effective move made a direct hit against Goodra but Goodra was still standing.
Sawyer realized that Goodra was very well trained. He commanded Slurpuff to use Fairy Wind. As the attack was coming, Ash instructed Goodra to use Bide. Goodra took the attack and its body began to glow a red color.
"Use Cotton Guard!"
"Let it rip, Goodra!"
Goodra launched all of the stored up energy it had from before. Because of Cotton Guard, Slurpuff didn't take much damage.
Sawyer was getting a sense of Goodra's battling style. Seeing Sawyer have a smirk on his face made Ash panic a little. He called for an Ice Beam which Sawyer countered with a Flamethrower. This created another explosion of mist which covered the battlefield. Sawyer knew that he could use the mist to his advantage. He commanded Slurpuff to use Fairy Wind. Using its amazing sense of smell, Slurpuff was able to find Goodra and made a direct hit.
"Use Flamethrower!"
"Goodra, use Bide!"
Again, Goodra withstood the attack but this time, Goodra was struggling. It wasn't like before as it had taken lots of damage from Slurpuff's previous attacks. Ash realized this and yelled, "I know you can do it Goodra!"

Ash's friends were all getting worried in the stands, you could see slight sweat drops on some on their faces.
"Oh no! Hope Goodra can hang in there" said Bonnie
Serena put her hand closer to her heart. "Something is going to have to give. This can't go on"
Dawn jumped up from her seat, stilling holding onto Piplup. "Come Goodra! You can do it!"

The impact of Flamethrower with Goodra made a large cloud of smoke. Sawyer and Slurpuff were feeling confident that they were able to knock Goodra out. Once the smoke cleared, they realized they were wrong. Goodra was still standing and had the same red glow form before. Goodra had lots of marks on it, showing just how much damage it had taken, but it was still standing.
"Go!"
"Use Fairy Wind!"
The two Pokemon gave it everything they had, resulting in the biggest explosion of the match. Once the smoke cleared, both Pokemon were lying on the ground.
The crowd was stunned at another incredible battle between these trainers and their Pokemon. You could tell that they, alongside their Pokemon were giving it their all.
Each trainer returned their Pokemon. Sawyer reached for his last Pokeball and looked at it. He took a breath and released his partner. Ash was excited to battle Sawyer's ace Pokemon.
"Pikachu, you're up!"
Pikachu nodded and ran onto the battlefield, ready to take on Sceptile.
"Alright Pikachu, let's start this off with Quick Attack!"
Pikachu then took off and began to charge rapidly towards Sceptile. Sawyer knew that he had to keep a distance between Pikachu and Sceptile. He then commanded Sceptile to use Leaf Storm. This attack hit Pikachu right in its tracks and caused it to fly high in the air.
While Pikachu was in the air, it was successful able to follow Ash's instructions and land a Thunderbolt on Sceptile.
"Use Iron Tail!"
"Leaf Blade Sceptile!"
The two attacks collided against one and other and each Pokemon jumped back to keep their distance.
"Use Frenzy Plant!"
Sceptile then stuck its arms into the ground and the ground began to shake and move, suddenly roots began to come out of the ground. Pikachu tried to dodge the attacks but was unable to as there were too many roots.
Pikachu could not handle the attack plus all the damage it had taken from the previous battles it had and fainted.
Ash now on his last Pokemon, feeling ready to take on Sawyer and Sceptile, Ash looked confidently at his Pokeball.
"Greninja, I choose you!"
Sawyer smirked. "I've been waiting for Greninja. So it's finally come to this!"
"Let's both give it everything we've got!"
Sawyer nodded and the final battle had begun.
Greninja and Sceptile charged towards each other with the moves their trainers called out. The Water Shuriken and Dragon Claw collided. Ash then called for a Double Team and tens of Greninjas surrounded the battlefield. Sceptile was able to use Frenzy Plant to get rid of all of fake Greninjas. Once it found the real once, Sceptile charged at it using Leaf Blade.
Greninja used Cut and the two Pokemon clashed and charged at each other multiple times. Each Pokemon was giving it their all, just as Ash stated before.

The whole crowd was in pure awe of the battle they were witnessing. Neither side of giving up. Everyone was speechless watching.
"Incredible…" said Serena.
Dawn just couldn't keep her eyes of off Ash.
I love it when he is battling. That is the Ash I know and fell in love with.

Back on the battlefield, Sawyer looked right into Ash's eyes.
Ash, all this time, I have been trying to catch up to you. At first, it seemed impossible. If I want to get to the next level, then I need to beat you! That is why I wanted to battle against the real Ash. And he came back, just like he promised!
Sawyer looked at Ash with confidence.
That's why our unfinished battle will end here!
On the other side of the battlefield, Ash was also reflecting on what this battle meant to him.
Sawyer, I'm sorry. I panicked. I was scared. I was scared of how you were catching up to me so fast, scared of not being able to protect the ones I love. But thanks to you and Dawn, I was able to rediscover you I am. I learned that it's okay to not be perfect.
Ash then grabbed Dawn's ribbon which was pinned on his chest.
I'm going to show you what we're really made of!
Ash knew that it was time. "Here goes Greninja! Full Power!"
The two started to yelled and mimic one and other's movements. Then, a water tornado surrounded Greninja and when it transformed into the Water Shuriken on its back, it was revealed that the transformation was complete.
The crowd roared in cheers. The mystery behind what caused this unusual transformation was in everyone's mind.
Sawyer the reached for his notebook and grabbed onto the stone which was on the end of the bookmark.
"We're ready, Sceptile! We have lots of experience!"
Sawyer then extended his hand holding the stone out and the Mega Evolution was happening. Sceptile's body began to glow and it transformed into Mega Sceptile.
"Use Frenzy Plant!"
Once again, the battle field began to shake and the roots came up from the ground. Greninja used Cut in order to slice right through all of the roots coming its way.
"Water Shuriken, let's go!"
Greninja then released the Water Shuriken which was on its back. Just like Greninja did earlier, Sceptile was able to cut right through the Water Shuriken. Ash quickly commanded Greninja to use Aerial Ace. Not having any time to react, Sceptile was hit right in the neck. It was quickly able to recover and launch a powerful Leaf Storm attack on Greninja.
"Use Leaf Blade!"
"Greninja, Cut!"
The two Pokemon charged towards each other and collided multiple times with their powerful moves. Ash was feeling the attacks of Sceptile because he merged with Greninja.
Sceptile was able to quickly counter with a Leaf Storm which hurt both Ash and Greninja. This attack sent Greninja high into the sky.
Hoping to finish the battle with this last move, Sawyer called for Frenzy Plant. Greninja was not about to give up. It jumped onto the moving roots that were coming up from the ground and using Cut, it was able to slice through any of the roots which were in its path.

"Greninja keeps on getting pushed back with Frenzy Plant. It can't close the gap at all" said Shauna.
Tierno looked worried. "How do you handle the power of Frenzy Plant?"
Bonnie was the most concerned. "I-Is Ash going to lose this?" She asked.
Dawn gave up an encouraging smile. "You know what I always say, there is no need to worry. Ash and Greninja believe in each other, they won't give up until the end"
Serena nodded in agreement. "Just like Dawn said, no need to worry"
"Ash's power is the power of two becoming one! As long as it stays that way, they'll always be stronger for it!" Commented Clemont.

Greninja was skillfully able to dodge or cut through any root that was coming its way. It then jumped onto the tallest root and flew towards Sceptile. Tens, maybe even hundreds, of Greninjas were all over.
"Get ready for this Sawyer!" Ash readjusted his hat. "This is everything that Greninja and I have got! Use Water Shuriken!"
Greninja then formed the biggest Water Shuriken anyone has ever seen and threw it towards Sceptile.
Sawyer was starting to panic and called for a Leaf Storm attack. It was no match for the unbelievable power of Greninja's attack. The battlefield was covering in dust and smoke from the insane power of the explosion.
It was quiet. No one said a word as they waited to see if Sceptile was still standing.
Once the smoke cleared, it was revealed that Sceptile had fainted.
"Sceptile is unable to battle! Greninja wins! And moving onto the finals, is Ash Ketchum from Pallet Town!"
The crowd roared. They cheered hard and loud for both parties for giving them such an incredible battle.

"He did it!" Said Serena.
Bonnie jumped up and down. "Ash won! YAY!"
"What an excellent battle!"exclaimed Clemont
Dawn smiled at the sight of Serena, Clemont and Bonnie. She then turned around to the battlefield to see Ash looking around the stadium. He was clutching the ribbon in his hands while he looked.
The two made eye contact and both smiled at each other and stuck their hands in the air, just as if they were high-fiving.

"Wow, the twerp really pulled it off!" Said Jessie.
All three of them were in shock. "And you know what that means…" said James.
"He could win the whole enchilada!" Exclaimed Meowth.

Professor Sycamore couldn't help but clap. "Incredible. What an amazing match! You could feel the level of connection and trust between each Pokemon and trainer!"
Diantha nodded in agreement. "The future is bright for those two trainers!"

In the distance, Alain smirked and walked away, feeling very satisfied with the match he just watched.

Back on the battlefield, Ash and Sawyer met up in the middle.
"Thank you for much an amazing battle! It reminded me again why I admire you so much"
Ash smiled. "It was truly a great battle! You had me so super-psyched throughout the entire thing! I was having a blast!"
"Thanks for the kind words!" Said Sawyer. "I'm going to keep on training and battling to gain even more experience" He then smirked. "And once day, I'm going to be even better than you!"
"You're not going to be the only one! I'm going to work hard to get even stronger too! I'll never give up!" Ash then extended his hand out "We'll battle again, right?"
"Of course!" Said Sawyer as he shook Ash's hand.

It was that same night. Ash had been spending the rest of the day celebrating and giving his Pokemon rest as they all fought so valiantly in their battle against Sawyer. It was now nighttime and Ash couldn't sleep. There were too many thoughts swirling in his mind.
Deciding that he need some fresh air, Ash went to the balcony and sat there for awhile. Pikachu, who was awakened by Ash's movements joined him and laid on his best friends lap just to accompany him.
It had been a couple of minutes when Ash heard the door opened.
"What are you doing awake?"
"Hey Dawn, I'm just thinking"
Dawn then took the seat next to him. "Ash? Thinking? Who are you?"
Ash chuckled. Then looked at the sky. "It's my first time in the finals. I've never been this close to my dream. It just doesn't feel real…"
Dawn smiled. "But it's reality" She then started to pet Pikachu. "You, Pikachu and the rest of your Pokemon have worked so hard to get here and you deserve it"
Ash then made eye contact with the coordinator and smiled. "I would never have gotten here without you, thank you"
"You don't have to thank me, I always here"
Those words sparked another thought that has never left Ash. He then turned back to face the sky.
Dawn realized this quickly. "There's something else" she said.
Ash sighed. Dawn knew him too well and he couldn't lie to her. "I know that you told me that you'll be okay. But I just can't help but wonder what Olympia was talking about"
Ash then looked down at his partner who was comfortable sleeping on his lap. "Something bad is going to happen to Kalos soon, and we are going to take a big part in it, that's a lot of pressure. Just knowing that… something bad is going to happen to you… it scares me"
Dawn smiled and grabbed Ash's hand. This caused him to make eye contact with her again. "Whatever it is, we will face it together" Dawn then squeezed his hand a little tighter. "We can do anything together"
Ash smiled and the two just stayed that way for a couple of seconds. Ash then let out a big yawn which caused Dawn to giggle. "We should head back to bed" she said.
Ash nodded and carefully woke up Pikachu. The two were still holding hands as they walked back to their respective beds and peacefully went to bed.
We have reached over 100 pages of this story! I'm sorry it has taken me so long to update! I've been super busy and unfortunately I'm only going to get busier! I'll try my best to publish as soon as I can but I also don't want to rush the chapters!
On another note, Pearlshipping Day is coming up and I really want to make a one shot or maybeeeee a two shot. If anyone has any ideas I would love to hear them!
