Story: You need to calm down
Pairing: Micro-Ice & Sinedd
Totally forgot I wrote this short story, but here's another chapter. These chapters will be chronologically as their relationship develops. Maybe there'll be another chapter tomorrow or the day after. Lengths of chapters vary each chapter.
But then Micro-Ice got injured during the first half of a match and he was out for a while. He was tackled by his opponent rather brutally. He went down with a very unmanly scream but the pain shooting up his leg was just too much to keep it in. Mei and Tia were quickly by his side, asking where it hurt and helping him sit up. Thran, D'jok and Sinedd were in the attacker's face, who pretended he didn't do anything and that it was all an accident. They struggled and Thran had to hold back D'jok from punching the guy. The confrontation ended with Sinedd punching the guy's face. Everyone was rather perplexed by his actions move, but Micro-Ice's injury caught everyone's attention again and no one mentioned Sinedd's previous actions. Micro-Ice was secretly pleased with the punch, but he was not going to tell the raven head that.
Dame Simbai looked after Micro-Ice and he was quickly given pain medication. During half-time his teammates were by his side asking how he was doing, one person noticeable not present, but the boy was grateful for that. He was in too much pain at the moment to deal with his growing feelings when it came to said man. When he wasn't around, it was easier to lie to himself. When the others left it didn't take long or the object of Micro-Ice's annoying affection walked in. Dame Simbai warned him to not start a fight with Micro-Ice and the boy was very pleased to not be the one to be scolded for once. The woman left to get some ointments and Sinedd walked over to the uncomfortable injured boy. He didn't say anything at first and just looked at Micro-Ice's foot that was covered in ice. When the injured boy didn't explain what was the problem, it annoyed the other teen. His voice was harsh when he spoke: "Well?"
"Torn muscle," Micro-Ice explained and wondered what the quickest way was to get Sinedd to leave. Flat out telling him to leave would never work. Sinedd was as stubborn as a mule.
"How long will you need to recover?" Sinedd asked stuffing his hands roughly in his pockets and quickly looking at his shoes before looking back at Micro-Ice.
"Dame Simbai thinks she can get me on my feet again in a month," Micro-Ice explained and he wasn't happy with Sinedd's outburst that followed.
"Keep your voice down!" Micro-Ice scolded the boy, who looked behind him to check that Dame Simbai hadn't returned. It felt strange having him near and talking to him, but also to have a certain distance between them. Micro-Ice was pleased for the distance but it still felt weird. But he doubted Sinedd would try anything knowing Dame Simbai could return at any second. The other boy looked uncertain back to him. He wanted to say something, but stopped himself for some reason.
"Go, you have a match to win," Micro-Ice said hoping the other boy would leave. He really wasn't in the mood to deal with Sinedd at the moment. He hated that his fingers were fidgeting with the hem of his shirt to keep his hands busy, who much more preferred to be touching something else. Sinedd nodded and started turning to leave, but then he stopped. He looked back between Micro-Ice and the door, before deciding what to do next. Micro-Ice ignored the way his heart was starting to beat faster at the possibility. But that didn't mean he was happy when the other boy decided to close the distance and his hands automatically reached out to pull him closer. He wasn't happy that his skin felt hot as the others hands touched him and he defiantly wasn't happy when he was the one to pull the other closer to meet his lips. Oh boy, these things shouldn't happen so close to their teammates.
"Leave your hotel room unlocked when you get back," Sinedd told him in a rather commanding tone that Micro-Ice would normally fight, but this time he didn't. He blamed his injury: "D'jok will be there."
"He's stuck having dinner with Mei and her mother," Sinedd told him and tilted his head to look up at him. Micro-Ice has never been a fan of how short he is. Becoming close friends with Mei meant the duo went out together occasionally and he never liked walking next to her. He was thrilled when Yuki joined the team because she was actually shorter than him. Tea is the same height as Micro-Ice but everyone else is taller than him. A fact they never let him forget and he isn't pleased about. But maybe he could get used to looking up to Sinedd. He'd already started liking the way the other boy would grab his hair roughly to pull his head back to look into his eyes.
When Dame Simbai returned, Sinedd managed to pull away quickly enough and keep a straight face when he left. He was rather efficient in pulling up his moody dark appearance when other people were around. Micro-Ice pretended he hadn't noticed that the boy was starting to let go of his touch guy attitude, that made sure that people kept their distance with him. Especially when it was just the two of them.
"You should try harder Micro-Ice," Dame Simbai told him as she rubbed his injured foot with her ointments. A very pleasant warmth spread through his foot and up his leg.
"What do you mean?"
"The boy has so little in his life. Don't make the only thing that he has difficult," she pointed out and Micro-Ice hated it. It is not his job to make the other boy happy. And he doubted that whatever nasty thing he said, the other boy didn't mind all that much considering he kept meeting him in private. But it irritated him a lot when people scolded him about his behavior towards Sinedd. It's not like the other boy was such a saint.
Micro-Ice wasn't sure what to expect when Sinedd told him to leave his door unlocked. His teammates were at his side the moment the match was over: gushing over him, making jokes and providing mockery to lighten his mood. Sinedd was obviously not among them and he didn't mind that. Mei and D'jok only stayed for a few minutes because of diner with Mei's mother. D'jok made faces behind his girlfriend's back indicating how much he hated it. After a few hours he managed to get rid of his friends. He faked being tired and if he lied hard enough, he could believe it himself. Truth was he was anxious for someone else his visit. And ten minutes after the others had left, the raven head opened his door and quickly walked in and closed it again, locking the door behind him.
"It's nice to know that Dame Simbai gives you the same speech about being nice to each other," Sinedd said as a greeting and Micro-Ice was surprised by this. He thought everyone gave the boy a pass because he was new and trying to fit in or something. Apparently, Mei was the one who was the most on Sinedd's case, a fact that D'jok seemed to like a lot.
"He just likes to see his girlfriend yelling at me," Sinedd said, while looking around the room uncomfortable. Micro-Ice didn't know what to say. He wanted to see the boy, but for some reason he didn't like to see him in his room. He knew he was being stupid but when it came to Sinedd, he had very confusing feelings for the man.
"Go figure, why can't they let us hate each other in piece?" Micro-Ice sighed and readjusted himself in his bed. He only got injured hours ago, but he was already hating being bedridden. He was far too active to stay in bed all day, although he loved sleeping in.
"It keeps them distracted from their own individual problems," Sinedd said and decided to sit down on Micro-Ice his bed. The boy was too close to his liking and yet not close enough. His hands started fidgeting again and he hated it. This boy shouldn't have this affect on him. His words came out harsher than he intended them to, but Sinedd ignored it: "You're supposed to agree with me and then say something dickish."
"Would that make you more comfortable?" Miro-Ice hated it when the other boy was the mature one and he was. Make no mistake, Sinedd might be a class A asshole, but when it comes to this arrangement, he was most defiantly the mature one, whereas Micro-Ice was the one who couldn't let go of the past. And whenever Sinedd acted more mature, Micro-Ice automatically acted ruder: "Yeah it actually would, jerk."
"You're pathetic," Sinedd sighed, rolling his eyes realizing that the other boy was not going to go easy on him tonight. When does he ever? Sinedd was always the one to make the first move, to pull him closer and touch him and after a while Micro-Ice would reciprocate, but Gods he always took an enormous amount of time before that happened. It frustrated him a lot.
"See it's already more comfortable, dickhead."
"Are you going to keep up with this childlike attitude or are you going to drop it anytime soon," Sinedd called him out and he knew the younger boy hated it, but he did stay quite for a change. The older boy took that as a good sign and moved closer. He noticed the other boy grew tense and looked at the door with panicked eyes, but Sinedd had locked it so he wasn't worried about anyone walking in on them. He kept moving closer slowly. Micro-Ice had enough time to say no and Sinedd was rather surprised that he didn't. Sure, his body language wasn't thrilled about Sinedd's move, but he didn't stop him. Micro-Ice didn't like this new development. He didn't like meeting Sinedd like this so close to his friends. It felt unsettling and like it meant more then it was and it was nothing to Micro-Ice. Just some physical attraction and company stuff. D'jok was always away with Mei and there is only so much he can take of Thran and his nerdy way's. Tia and Rocket were simply to mature for him and Yuki…well ever since this Sinedd stuff started he hasn't felt comfortable around her. He knows he was the one who pursued her, but she always turned him down but lately it seemed like she might be interested in him. And for some reason he didn't look at her with the same eyes anymore.
He didn't actually expect Sinedd to kiss him. He didn't think they would do those things with the others so close. But he didn't stop the raven head when his hands cupped his face in an unfamiliar tender way and his lips softly brushed against his. Micro-Ice hated to admit that he liked the way the other boy could insinuate things, innocent things that could practically set his body on fire. Or say something in a commanding way that his natural instincts told him to fight, but other parts of his brain told him to submit to. It was exhausting in his brains sometimes.
"Stop fighting back, Micro-Ice," Sinedd whispered against his lips and the younger boy hated how greedily he grabbed the other boy's shirt to close to the distance between them and kissed him far to willingly.
