Chapter 18
"You don't really think Frosty would give you detention the night of the dance, do you?" Merida frowned at her reflection as she turned in her dress.
They were in town finding dresses for the upcoming dance, but Rapunzel was in no mood for it.
"Of course not", Rapunzel rolled his eyes and frowned from her armchair," But I'm still not thrilled to go... How am I going to possibly enjoy myself while Jack is glaring at me all night?"
Merida turned to face Rapunzel and sighed loudly," Because he's an adult and needs to start acting like one... This is your last year Punz. You need to be able to enjoy it without Frostbite ruining it for you. If he cared for you he needs to trust you and get over it.
"Yeah, I guess you're right", Rapunzel shrugged," Anyways... You're not actually considering that dress, are you?"
Rapunzel grimaced at the lime green bell shaped dress that Merida was wearing.
"It looks like someone threw up on you", Rapunzel laughed.
"No!" Merida laughed," I am in no way considering this one. Now come help me!"
"Frost is going to lose it when he sees you", Merida smiled at Rapunzel. Rapunzel couldn't help but agree with her friend. After searching for what felt like an eternity, she finally found it. It was a floor length pale dress with a plunging neckline and an open back. It was silk underneath with layers of chiffon over it that had flowers embroidered on it. She had her hair in a bun, but with loose curls framing her face. She felt like she was glowing.
"Where are the guys meeting us?" Rapunzel asked.
"They should be here any second" Merida looked at her alarm clock. As soon as she looked they heard a knock on the door. Merida squaeled and Rapunzel smiled at her friends excitement.
Merida ran to the door and threw it open, smiling.
"You look beautiful", Hiccup smiled at her and Rapunzel could feel herself almost tear up. She was so happy Merida had finally worked up the courage to ask Hiccup, because Lord knows he would never have done it himself. They deserved this. They were good for each other.
Hiccup looked past her and smiled at Rapunzel," You, also, look beautiful. I am the luckiest guy in the world to have two best friends that are this beautiful inside and out."
Rapunzel could see Merida briefly deflate at the words best friend, but she quickly picked herself back up. She hoped that didn't deter Merida for how she knew her friend wanted the night to go.
"Would you move out of the door so I can see my own date?" she heard Nod ask impatiently. Rapunzel laughed as Nod tripped past Hiccup and Merida to get to her.
"Wow", he smiled at her," And I thought I cleaned up good... You're going easily going to be the prettiest girl there."
"Hey!" Merida yelled.
"Besides Merida obviously", Nod continued looking wide eyed at Rapunzel," You didn't let me finish the sentence Merida, jeese."
"Merida, you and Hiccup go on", Rapunzel said," We'll catch up with you guys."
They left chatting away about what songs were going to play leaving Nod and Rapunzel standing in the room alone.
"Everything okay?" Nod raised an eyebrow smiling.
"Nod, I really like you and want to have fun tonight, but I just want to reitterate, this is just as friends", Rapunzel explained as nicely as she could.
Nod smiled and nodded," Yeah, you've already said that. I'm not going to make a move on you Rapunzel. I just want us to have a good time tonight, I promise."
"Then fun we shall have", Rapunzel smiled and held out her arm," Shall we?"
Nod hooked his arm around hers and they walked off smiling, Rapunzel content with how everything was between them.
Rapunzel walked into the schools banquet hall and gasped at the room. It really did look like a winter wonderland.
"Wow, this place is amazing", Nod looked around and smiled.
"I completely agree", Rapunzel smiled.
"I told you you'd be the prettiest girl here", Nod commented as they walked towards the table where Merida and Hiccup were sitting.
"What do you mean?" Rapunzel looked up at him.
"Do you not see the people looking at us", Nod pointed around the room. Rapunzel looked around and indeed several people were looking at them smiling. Rapunzel looked away blushing and grateful for when they reached the table. She sat next to Merida and Nod sat next to Hiccup.
"So", Merida smirked at Rapunzel," Any sign of Frostbite?"
"Don't call him that", Rapunzel scolded," And no. I don't see him near the teachers table or on the floor."
"Maybe he didn't want to come tonight", Merida shrugged and turned back to her drink. Rapunzel could understand why he wouldn't want to, but it did hurt her feelings he wouldn't want to see her in her new dress. She didn't make herself look good for just her. She knew they were going to meet up later, and she wanted to look nice for him too.
"I don't know... Maybe", Rapunzel frowned and rubbed her fingertip along the rim of her glass.
"Rapunzel, care to dance?" Nod stood up and held is hand out for her.
"Sure", she put on a smile and grabbed his hand. He twirled her onto the dance floor and placed his hand on her hip, holding her dominant hand in his. She placed her hand on his shoulder and they started dancing to a song she recognized "Eyes" by Rogue Waves. She liked them. This song always felt soothing.
"May I cut in?" she heard behind her and smiled a little when she saw Jack standing behind them. He was wearing a formal three piece suit that was all black. He ditched his usual converse for actual dress shoes, but he still had his crazy hair sticking up everywhere. She knew there was no taming that hair.
"She is my favorite student after all", he smirked at Nod," But don't tell anyone."
"You got it Mr. Overland", Nod smiled and turned to Rapunzel," Until the next dance m'lady."
Jack stepped in and spun her into his arms. "Perfect" by Ed Sheeran poured through the speakers and Rapunzel smiled.
"I love this song", Rapunzel smiled up at Jack.
Jack smirked back," I may have requested this to play as we danced."
"I wish I could dance closer to you", Rapunzel slightly frowned. They were at arms length. Still in the pose Nod and her were in, but slightly farther apart.
"I know", Jack frowned back," But this is what we have to deal with for now."
Rapunzel smiled at him.
"You are breathtaking by the way", Jack told her and spun her around, to pull her back in.
"Really?" she beamed.
"Yes", Jack grinned widely," You almost made my heart stop when you walked in."
"I didn't see you", Rapunzel asked in confusion.
"Because I had to step out of the room to catch my breath", he told her.
"Oh, Jack", she smiled," You're making me blush."
"I'm not the only one who has noticed by the way", he told her," Heads have been turning since you walked in."
She shrugged," Doesn't matter. I am already in love with someone."
The song ended and he bowed to her, still holding her right hand.
"Thank you for the dance", he kissed her hand and winked," Until later."
He swiftly walked away and Rapunzel smiled at his retreating back. The lights dimmed and dance lights came on. "Down" by Fifth Harmony bumped through the speakers and she felt Merida grab onto her arm.
"Dance with me, woman!" she yelled and pulled her into the middle of the floor. She laughed when Nod and Hiccup joined them dancing next to them dancing goofily. Nod looked like he was seaweed and Hiccup was attempting the robot. She grabbed Merida's hands and started to dance with her and she was so grateful at this moment that she came to this. She couldn't let Jack control her every though. She still needed to be able to enjoy her time here with her friends and not have to worry about him reacting to everything. She needed to be able to let loose and have fun. She saw Mr. Moon and Dean Black even dancing around with students having a grand time. She looked over and her heart slightly fell when she saw Jack standing on the sidelines with his arms crossed, looking at everyone.
"I'll be right back!" she yelled to Merida. She pushed her way past people and met where Jack was.
"What are you doing?" he yelled over the music at her.
"Come dance!" she smiled, still moving to the music.
"But what happens if-" Jack started.
"Jack!" she laughed," You're allowed to just dance. Look at Dean Black! He's dancing around with students. C'mon! Have some fun!"
She pulled on his arm and he smiled giving in. She pulled him back into her circle of friends. Nod and Hiccup looked surprised, but Merida just smiled at him. "Levels" by Avicii started playing and people started jumping up and down to it.
"C'mon!" Merida yelled at Jack," Let loose!"
Rapunzel grabbed onto his hands and started jumping with him. He smiled and finally joined them all dancing. Everyone around them cheering. Rapunzel raised her arms and grabbed onto Merida smiling. She smiled to herself at all the love around her and her heart had never felt fuller.
People were slowly starting to filter out the last hour of the dance, but Rapunzel could keep going for hours. She loved to dance.
"Rapunzel, my feet are going to fall off", Nod sighed to her,"I think I'm going to sit at the table for the next few songs."
"Okay", Rapunzel laughed," I'm gonna hit the drink bowl."
Rapunzel walked away from the floor. She was about to grab a cup when she felt someone grab her arm and pull her away from the banquet hall. She turned and saw Jack leading her away into the kitchen off the side of the room. It was completely dark in there, no one to be seen. He pulled her farther into the kitchen as far from the door as they could get. He turned her to be against a counter and face him. Before she could say anything he had grabbed her face and smothered her lips in a deep kiss that took her breath away.
He pulled back and she breathed fast to catch her breath.
"Hi", she giggled and smiled.
"Hi", he smirked," You have no idea how long I've been waiting to do that."
"I thought we were meeting up later", she smiled at him, holding onto his hands that were still holding her head.
"I can't wait anymore", he breathed into her face and kissed her again, plunging his tongue into her mouth. He brought his hands down to her waist and lifted her onto the counter top. She wrapped her arms around him and pulled him closer. He scooted her forward on the counter and started to pull her dress up around her knees. He reached under and pulled her panties down. He pulled them off from around her ankles and tossed them to the floor. She reached down and undid his button and zipper.
"Don't pull them all the way down", he chuckled," In case we need to make a break for it."
She smiled and finally got him out of his pants just enough for what she needed.
"Come here", he growled and pulled her forward. She was grateful he was so tall that she didn't need to dip down for it. He quickly entered and she moaned against him. He grabbed onto butt and pulled her into him and he thrusted, burying his face into her shoulder. She put her mouth on his neck and started to suck on it, with her hand in his hair, pulling it slightly.
"I fucking love you so much", he grunted out, thrusting harder.
"I love you too, baby", she moaned.
"I'm about to come", he moaned and thrusted even faster before letting out a final grunt and stilled. He exhaled loudly and put his sweaty forehead against hers.
"I love so much Punz", he kissed the tip of her nose.
"R- Rapunzel?" they heard behind them. Rapunzel opened her eyes and saw standing far away, but still visible Hiccup. He had a look of confusion on his face and when Jack turned around to see who it was, horror washed over his face.
"Hiccup..." Jack started slowly, buttoning his pants swiftly," It isn't what it looks like."
Rapunzel hopped off the counter and fixed her dress and hair quickly.
"Were you two- did you guys just-?" Hiccup had trouble getting it out. Before he could finish his sentence he ran through the exit of the kitchen into the hallway. Rapunzel took off after him, Jack running behind her.
"Hiccup! Come back!" Rapunzel yelled after him as they ran down the hallway.
He turned to look at them, but collided into Merida.
"Hiccup, what the fuck?" Merida groaned getting up off the floor. Hiccup grabbed onto her and shook her slightly.
"Merida, you don't understand... Rapunzel.. Over- Jack-", he stammered. Jack and Rapunzel finally caught up to them gasping for hair. Their hair all over the place.
"Oh shit, he didn't catch you guys did he?" Merida scowled at them.
"What- you know!?" Hiccup yelled at her and ran his hand through his hair.
"Of course I do", Merida rolled her eyes," She is my roommate."
"Rapunzel, he's a teacher!", he looked at her with horror," What are you doing?"
"Hiccup, I'm sorry", Rapunzel cried, her makeup running," I don't know how to explain! I just- I love him Hicc... I can't help it. I just do."
Hiccup shook his head, and then his glare landed on Jack," What is the matter with you!"
He charged forward and pushed Jack back," She's a child!"
"I am not a child!" Rapunzel in between them before Jack decided to intervene," I am 17 years old. Not to bring the law into this, but I am of consenting age."
"You seduced her!" he pointed at Jack," You're supposed to be her teacher and you're fucking her in the kitchen at her school dance!"
"Lower your voice now, please", Jack hissed out, looking around them," I am aware you are upset, but can we be discrete please."
"Why?" Hiccup laughed with sarcasm," Worried people might judge you?"
He pushed past Rapunzel and grabbed onto Hiccups shirt," Look, I love this girl. I can't help it. I tried to end it, and it made her miserable and depressed. She searched me out, and I couldn't fight it anymore. She is the light of my life and I will marry her someday. After she graduates we will be pubicly out and you're going to have to get used to the fact that I will be in your life now, as more than just your teacher. Now, if you care for her, you will keep this a secret between us four, and not tell another soul. It would my life, but most importantly hers. You wouldn't do that to her, would you?"
Hiccup scowled and looked away from Jack, pulling his shirt out of Jack's hand. He looked away for a minute before turning his scowl to Rapunzel. He walked towards her, and placed a hand on her shoulder.
"I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings, Rapunzel", Hiccup sighed," But this is going to take a while to get my head around. But you can count on my discretion if you promise me with full clarity that you've thought this whole thing through and that you are happy."
Rapunzel gave him a small smile," I promise, Hiccup, that I am of sound mind and body, and 100 percent certain of my feelings for Jack. I love him so much Hiccup. Thank you."
She hugged him tightly, but he only gave a brief hug back. He let go and stalked away from them quickly.
"I'm going to follow him, and see if I can help", Merida frowned," Are you going with Jack?"
Rapunzel looked at him. He wasn't looking at them, but he nodded yes.
"Yeah, I'll see you tomorrow", she gave Merida a hug before she walked away.
"I should go say bye to Nod", Rapunzel sighed and turned her head towards the music.
"Fuck him", Jack scowled," Let's just go."
Rapunzel turned to him and his outstretched hand.
"Fine", she murmered," I'll make an excuse to him tomorrow."
"Whatever you want."
Rapunzel sat in his armchair while he got ready for bed. She didn't know what this was going to bring, but she was hoping everything was going to be okay.
"What a shit show", Jack mumbled, pulling back the blankets," You haven't changed?"
"I have nothing to change into", Rapunzel rolled her eyes.
"There isn't anything wrong with that", Jack smirked and pulled her out of the chair.
"Is now really the time for this after everything that has happened?" Rapunzel frowned.
"I think now is the perfect time", Jack whispered as he unzipped the back of her dress. He pulled it down and she was completely naked.
"What happened to your panties?" he raised an eyebrow.
"They're still in the kitchen", she laughed.
"Well that'll make for an interesting discovery", he smiled. She lifted his shirt over his head and tossed it away and pulled down his boxers so he could be naked with her.
"We should just stay like this all the time", she smiled.
"When we live together, trust me, we will", he kissed her, picking her up and carried her to the bed. He rolled over so she was on top of him this time.
"This is new", she smiled and kissed his neck.
"I wanna see you enjoy this", he smiled," And we have a lot of positions to try. Time to start crossing them off the list."
He rubbed her clitoris to get her ready, and by the time she was she felt like she was going to explode. He kept his fingers there as she lowered herself onto him. She dug her nails into his chest and started moving up and down.
"I like this", she moaned, moving faster. She leaned back and grabbed onto his calves," Keep rubbing me."
"Yes ma'am", he grabbed onto her thigh was his other hand," I'm holding out until you come this time."
"About time", she smirked at him. She could feel herself building up and finally bursted in pleasure, falling on top of him. He wrapped his arms around her and did thrusted into her until he had his release. She could feel his heart beating against her ribs and she wanted to stay right here forever.
"I'm tired", she moaned into his neck.
"Well I hate to inform you of this, but we're doing this again after I rally", he told her. She smiled as he rolled on top of her and lost herself for the rest of the night.
