"Are you going to be okay without lover boy for a week?" Merida smirked at Rapunzel who was frowning deeply.
"No", Rapunzel mumbled and rested her chin against the dining room table," I mean, yeah we'll text and stuff, but I don't like that we can't attend a holiday together."
"It's just for a week", Merida sighed," You have to spend Thanksgiving with your family and so does he. He looks just as thrilled as you are."
Rapunzel looked up at the man she loved and he looked like he was pushing his food around with his fork, frowning just as deeply as her.
"God, you two are like drug addicts", Merida noted with disgust," It's just a week, you'll be fine."
"Oh my God, would you lay off", Rapunzel rolled her eyes. She got up from the dining table and left in a huff. Rapunzel shoved her hands in her hoodie pocket as she walked down the hallway to her second to last chemistry class before Thanksgiving break. She obviously knew they were going to be fine. It's not like they were each other's life lines, but she loved him and she wished there was a way for them to actually spend the holiday together as a couple. To actually meet his family as his girlfriend or to have him spend it with her family as her boyfriend.
She walked into class and jumped as the door shut behind her and she heard it lock. She turned around and Jack picked her up, setting her on top of her and Merida's desk. She smiled as Jack moaned kissing her neck. He kissed frantically up her neck, over her cheek, until he trapped her mouth with his. She sighed as Jack deepened the kiss and she traveled her hands up into his hair.
"I don't want you to go", Jack moaned and went back to sucking on her neck.
"I don't want to either", Rapunzel's heart pace quickened as her started to unbutton her jeans," But I have to and so do you."
She looked towards the door with panic as Jack pulled her jeans and panties off at the same time.
"I locked it", Jack unbuttoned his pants and pulled them down," I'm taking advantage of every chance I can with you until you leave." He pulled her towards him and quickly inserted himself in her, already thrusting heavily.
"Jack, slow down", Rapunzel moaned into his shoulder," Too hard."
"I have less than 5 minutes before students start showing up", he grunted, not slowing his pace," I gotta get it out."
Rapunzel bit into his shoulder over his shirt, and dug her nails into his arms. He had never been as rough as this with her. Usually he would ease in and take it slow, letting her come first, but she knew he was getting out his instinctual desires before he can't have them for a week. In another minute he stilled, twitching slightly. He pulled out quickly causing Rapunzel to wince. She pulled up her pants and buttoned them as Jack went over to the door, unlocking it for the students that arrived literally not even a minute later. They're indiscretions that happened only a few minutes prior only their secret.
Merida sat down next to her talking about what she will be up to during their break, but Rapunzel wasn't paying attention to it. She wasn't paying attention to anything Jack was saying either, except how he kept stumbling over what he was saying or forgetting the point he was trying to get at. She though it was weird how they didn't really talk about what it will feel like when they're apart, but maybe she was also over dramatizing it. It was only a week. Maybe it might be good for them to have time apart. Absence makes the heart grow fonder apparently. Maybe there was truth to that. They're relationship isn't healthy if they can't bear to be only 7 days apart from each other. Surely their love was stronger than that.
"Miss Corona?" she heard Jack address and she looked up at him. He was leaning on his desk, staring intently at her, so much so she felt like her eyes wearing burning from his stare.
She inhaled deeply," Yes?"
"Pay attention during my class please."
It wasn't a question, he was demanding it. He turned around back to his board and kept droning about the lesson.
"What the fuck was that?" Merida whispered to her friend.
"I don't know", Rapunzel turned to her, concern on her face. He almost seemed mad when he talked to her. They just made love not even 20 minutes ago... Is he upset with me?
Once class was over Rapunzel stayed behind everyone, shutting the door and locking it again.
"Are you ready to go again?" Jack chuckled, grabbing her waste.
"No, it's not that", Rapunzel turned to him," Are you upset with me?"
"No", he responded, looking confused," Why would you think that?"
"You just seem, I don't know... Different", Rapunzel tried to explain.
"How am I different?" he asked, letting go of her.
"I don't know... Your normal vibe is just off", Rapunzel tried to explain better. It was like there was a cloud over him.
"My vibe isn't different", he defended himself with an edge to his tone," I'm just... Pissed."
"Why? You said you weren't upset with me."
"It isn't at you!" he ran his hand through his hair," It's at the situation. I don't want us to be seperated for a week and I hate that one of us can't go with the other like a normal couple. I want to be able to go your parents house and say I'm your boyfriend."
Rapunzel smiled sympathetically and hugged him tightly," I know... I want that too. But it's just one more year."
He hugged her back and rested his chin on top of her head.
"Just one more year", she heard Jack say sadly.
Rapunzel dragged her suitcase behind her begrudgingly towards the entrance of the school where her parents were probably already waiting. She hadn't really seen Jack today to say a goodbye and she wasn't sure she would be able to say it with a straight face. It's only seven days.
They spent the whole past two nights wrapped in each other's arms and Jack worshiping her body as if to memorize every curve and touch. She was almost at the entrance when Jack grabbed onto her hand and pulled her into a side classroom. He shut the door and hugged her tightly.
"I'm going to miss you so much", he mumbled into her hand," Please call me every night. I won't be able to bear not hearing your voice for a whole day."
"Of course, Jack", Rapunzel hugging him back. She could feel her eyes brimming with tears as he cupped her face to look up at him.
"Oh, baby", he wiped away her tears, smiling," Don't cry. It'll be okay."
She nodded quickly before standing on her tiptoes to kiss him. Their lips connected, but only briefly. He rested his forehead against hers," I love you Punz."
"I love you too, Jack."
"Mom! We're home with Rapunzel!"
Rapunzel cringed at her mother screaming through their house and waited for her grandmother to come to the front room.
"My Punzie!" her grandmother came around the corner, her arms stretched out wide. Rapunzel loved her grandmother, but she wasn't too close to her.
"Hi Nan!" Rapunzel smiled and hugged her grandmother.
"My, my", her grandmother cupped Rapunzel's face," You've grown into such a beautiful, young woman. I'm sure someday you'll steal someone's heart."
Rapunzel could feel her eyes widen slightly and her heart starting to quicken.
"Yeah", Rapunzel laughed," Someday."
Rapunzel grabbed her suitcase and walked up the staircase to the second floor," I'll be down in a little bit. I wanna freshen up and unpack."
"Of course honey", her mother waved after her," We'll call you when supper is ready."
Rapunzel sighed as she opened her bedroom door. Since being at school throughout middle school and high school, her room never really felt like her room. It felt like a placement for her until she could go back to her real room. Her room was a basic white color with carious photos and posters of passions long forgotten. Her bed was against a wall that had a window on each side of the bed. Her dresser was at the end of her bed with a tv on it that had collected a layer of dust.
She set her bag down and laid on her bed relishing in the fact that her mom did indeed wash her bedding this time before she arrived. She pulled out her cellphone and quickly turned it back on. She rarely used it during school unless to call her parents. She never wanted to become so dependent on it, but because of her and Jack's situation, she knew she'd be glued to it all week. The screen opened up and she smiled at the 5 text messages from Jack waiting for her. She opened up the message up quickly to read them.
2:37pm Jack F: About to head out towards home for the week. I hope you're traveling safely and know how much I already miss you. I love you.
3:14pm Jack F: Stuck in an unbearable traffic jam because of a car accident. I would like to think if you were here with me, being stuck in traffic wouldn't be nearly as terrible.
4:57pm Jack F: Just arrived home and my mother is already grilling me about my job and how she hopes I'm taking care of our future nation's minds. This will be the longest week of my existence.
5:10pm Jack F: She has now started to grill me on when am I going to start finding someone to be serious with... I hope you don't mind that I told her I've started seeing someone.
5:29pm Jack F: I am now hiding in my old room waiting for you to reply back because my sanity is already slipping
She smiled at her phone as she hit the call button to hear Jack's voice. She heard the phone ring and it was picked up by the second ring.
"Hello?" she heard him ask.
"Hey!" she smiled and curled her legs up underneath her.
"I'm so happy to hear your voice", Jack sighed with relief.
"It's only been a few hours", Rapunzel laughed," Already that bad?"
"My parent's have just been relentless", Jack vented," And since Mary isn't here yet, you're the only I have right now to keep me sane."
"Mary?" Rapunzel asked. Who was Mary? She felt a twinge of jealousy in her stomach.
"Yeah, my little sister? I'm sure I've mentioned her to you before", Jack explained.
"I don't think so", a flood of relief washed over her," How old is she?"
"She's 18. She's been away at college for her freshman year, but she comes home today for the break", Jack explained further," If I can't have you here, at least I have her."
Rapunzel nodded and sighed," I miss you. It feels weird being at home. I mean, it's always felt a little weird, but this time... I don't know. It feels even more weird than usual."
"Yeah, same here", Jack agreed," School with you feels more like home now."
Rapunzel heard a knock on her door.
"Hang on Jack", she pulled her phone to her chest," Yeah?"
"It's nan! Dinner is ready!" she heard her grandmother shout out.
"Okay! One second", Rapunzel replied," I'm sorry, Jack. I gotta go. I'll call you later."
"Alright", she hard Jack sigh," I love you Punz."
"I love you too. Bye."
She hung up and set her phone on her bed. Walking to the door, she opened it and her grandmother was waiting for her.
"Who were you talking to dear?" she raised an eyebrow and smirked.
"Uh- what?" Rapunzel laughed awkwardly," Oh, just Merida."
"You say 'I love you too' to Merida?" her grandmother probed.
"Uh- yeah?" Rapunzel walked past her grandmother," We're best friends. And don't eavesdrop Nan. It's rude."
"Mhm", her grandmother watched her granddaughter go down the stairs," I'm sure it was just Merida."
