(With Marcus)
Marcus Flint was pissed. Malfoy had spent hours ranting about Harry Potter and how he cheated. He was just sore that Potter once more caught the snitch and won Gryffindor the game. Marcus had tried to ignore the snot and had even escaped to the common room but that blonde haired pounce had entered the room a few minutes later. The seventeen year old decided to go flying to help calm him down. He knew it wouldn't be good if he punched the brat.
'I still should punch him though. Maybe then he would stop bitching for a few minutes.' He thought.
He had finally made it to the Quidditch Pitch and was about to enter the Slytherin locker room when a door opening caught his attention. He looked towards it only to be surprised to see Potter exiting the Gryffindor locker room. Tears fell down the thirteen year old's face. The green eyed boy wiped them away as he walked back to the castle.
'Wonder why he was crying.' He shook his head. 'Why do I care?'
Marcus shook his head and entered the locker room. He changed before grabbing his broom. He quickly went to the pitch. He mounted the broom and was soon in the air, flying. The air was warm and felt great against his skin. Flying always calmed him down.
"This is nice." He sighed. 'Why was the golden boy crying? Why the fuck do I keep thinking about him?' He questioned himself.
The seventh year Slytherin shook his head and resumed flying. After a while he had to stop because it was getting late. He took a quick shower before making his way to the Great Hall for dinner. He really hoped Malfoy had finally calmed down. He couldn't take hearing the fucker run his mouth anymore. He may have calmed down but he was over Malfoy.
'He better keep his damn mouth shut.' He thought.
"There you are, man." His friend, Adrian, said as Marcus sat down.
"What do you want?" He sneered.
"Malfoy isn't here." He said.
"Good. Where is he?" He asked so that he could avoid the prat.
"Professor Mcgonagal's office. He and Weasley got into it in the hall so she took them to her office." He explained.
"Ah!" Weasleys and Malfoys couldn't ignore each other.
"Potter wasn't there, which is strange. He can usually control that traitor until Malfoy opens his big mouth. I always thought Potter and Weasley were joint at the hip or something." He added.
"Why do you care?" He asked. 'Was Potter st- No! I won't think about that. I don't care about Potter.'
Adrain shrugged. "I don't."
"Whatever." He said as he began eating.
As he ate the brunette discretely looked over at the lion's table. For some reason not seeing Potter upset him. He didn't understand why he cared. Marcus never cared before so why now? Once he finished he made his way to his dorm. As he was about to enter he heard a voice. He turned to see Weasley muttering to himself.
"Stupid Malfoy. Thanks to him I lost points and now have detention. Stupid Filch has me cleaning these suits of armor without magic." He pouted.
'Pathetic. Can't even take responsibility for his own actions. He didn't have to engage Malfoy.' He sneered.
"Wouldn't have happened if Harry had been there. Can't believe he was angry at me. So what if I said Slytherins were filled with evil, cheating bastards? It's the truth! Those beaters were aiming for him. Why did he have to defend them? I had every right to tell him he was wrong and being stupid." He grumbled.
Weasley finished cleaning the suits of armor in that room and went to the next. Marcus continued to the dorm. He was shocked that Potter defended them. He wasn't so shocked with how dumb Weasley was. The job of a beater was to stop the bludger from hitting their teammates and take out a member of the opposing team. Gryffindor had taken out a chaser and almost Malfoy.
The next morning Marcus had decided to go to History. The reason was that he could sleep in that class and not have to deal with professor Snape lecturing him on skipping classes. He was almost there when he spotted Granger and Potter. It seemed the girl was lecturing him.
"Come on Harry, it wasn't so bad." The Slytherin could tell she rolled her eyes. "It was just a small shove."
"He barged into the locker room, ranted about the Slytherin's being evil and how they cheated, got angry when I defended them, and then shoved me so hard I ended up falling and cracking my head on the floor. That's not a little shove!" The teen hissed back. "I was unconscious for hours. Madam Pomfrey said I had a concussion and a brain bleed. When he came back to the dorms last night he yelled at me because he got into trouble for fighting with Malfoy."
"You're just exaggerating." The frizzy haired mudblood shook her head. "There was no need to get him into further trouble for a little spat."
"Are you kidding me? Little spats don't end with one party hurting another. I only told the truth after Madam Pomfrey reported my injuries to professor Mcgonagal." He told her.
"It really was that bad?" She was shocked.
"Yes!" He glared.
"I'm sorry Harry. I guess I just didn't want to believe Ron could hurt you like that." She apologized.
"Well he did." He said.
"I'll talk to him. Get it through his skull that he was wrong." Granger told him. "I really am sorry."
"I know. Next time don't say I'm overreacting when I'm not." He said.
"I won't." She promised and the two went on his way.
Marcus stood there frozen. He couldn't believe what he heard. No wonder Potter had been crying. He had been in a lot of pain. He thought the teen was an idiot though. He wouldn't have forgiven Granger. She believed the snot that loved to insult her over the friend that defended her on multiple occasions. Weasley being violent wasn't a surprise. The boy displayed it on multiple occasions.
After that the seventh year Slytherin kept an eye on Potter. For some reason the boy fascinated him. He found that the teen hadn't actually forgiven his friends. No one really noticed the distance he put between them. It was like he was only being friendly to put on a show. Weasley found himself in many detentions thanks to the Slytherin. No one knew that Marcus had done something to the redhead so that he would lose his temper in public and make a scene. When the year ended Marcus wasn't happy. It meant that he wouldn't see Harry until the next school year.
