Hey Everyone, this is my first Danny Phantom Story.

It had been two years since the famous Diaster-Roid incident, where ghosts and humans alike had united together intending to save the world from certain devastation. Now 18-year-old Daniel James Fenton: is better known as Danny Fenton to his friends and family, but to the world, he is better known for his ghostly alter ego Danny Phantom. After his big reveal to the world, Danny had gone from Public Enemy Number one to Famous Hero, Public Idol. In these two years, Danny had changed, hitting a rapid growth spurt and had grown from a puny 5' 10" to a confident 6' 4". With Height, Danny gained muscle but was still lean, and his new baseball-player physique had many of his old-class bullies second-guessing and not messing with him. His newfound height also made him a bit cockier and it irritated his sister who had to now look up at her little brother.
With his growth in his human form, his ghost form had also grown along with him. Scarily enough, his ghost form now looked similar to Dan Phantom or Dark Dan. Although, the major differences were that his hair wasn't all aflame(just minor wisps of his ghostly energy), his ears weren't pointed, and his skin wasn't ghostly pale; Danny still had his youthful tan glow. His costume did resemble Dan's, just minus the cape, and to keep himself from looking like his evil counterpart, he had incorporated some of his parents and his own ghost-catching/ hunting devices on his forearms as gauntlets with many features and his new white ghost utility belt with his Phantom Logo on the buckle. Danny had learned that anything that he wore in his human form would be incorporated into his ghost form and would transform with him. With his new ghost training, the belt and gauntlets are now merged with his ghost form.
Speaking of ghost training, over the years of protecting his town from rogue ghost attacks and ordinary day criminal activity Danny had increased his training regiment and had found out that he had powers that he didn't even know about. From his new ice breath, advanced ecto manipulation, and his most powerful attack; The Ghost Wave. The Ghost Wave, unlike his Ghostly Wail, is even much more powerful, but slightly easier to control. To give an example, imagine a single burst of energy that Danny creates when he launches a ghost ray, now combine it with his ice core, then have it burst from his hands as large as his Ghostly wail; that much energy could power a small town for a week. The downside of this new power is that it's too powerful and it leaves him motionless determined by how much power he puts into it. Danny had learned this the hard way when he first tried out his new power and it had caused him to transform back to human and knocked him unconscious for two days. He was lucky that his friends and family had been on the scene, catching him as he plummeted to the ground. When Danny woke up from his impromptu coma, he had come to realize that this new power needed special training of its own and had gone into the ghost zone and asked Clockwork for help in training his new power. It took some doing, but Danny has been going to Clockwork for help in training his new power and now can handle up to 15% of its full power. His training has begun to show whenever he saves someone or something from certain danger and Danny's goal is to be able to push his powers to the ultimate without the risk of hurting himself or others.
Now things weren't all good for Danny, sure during the first couple months that Danny had become the infamous hero, he was with his now friend-turned-girlfriend Samantha Manson (but she liked just to be called Sam) had started going out as a couple, and going out on dates and enjoying each others company whenever they could. The feelings that the two had for each other that they were either too stubborn or dense to tell were finally put out in the open and times were good for Danny...at least things were in the beginning. Things started taking a turn for the worse after the drama of the Diaster-Roid had calmed down and the new pressure of being famous had set in.
Danny soon learned that fame wasn't all that cracked up to be. Sure, having fans come up to him for a simple autograph or a selfie was fine for a week, but as time went on the press and paparazzi started bombarding him and Sam, heck even his family weren't safe from their questions, and cameras flashes whenever they were out in public. It hit the young couple the hardest and for months the paparazzi had hit them harder than the others and it became news the minute it happened thanks to the power of the internet and social media. All this fame and attention had started to get to Sam and if things didn't change she didn't know what she'd do. Sadly, that day came too soon.
It was just another day for the young couple, Danny had stopped another ghost from harming their city and Sam had watched it while on their date. Danny had just caught the ghost and was about to transform back when the press and paparazzi found them. That in turn had caused Danny's fanbase or what they like to call themselves his "Phans" to come out of the shadows they hid themselves in like a hunter stalking their prey. Now, this wasn't the first time that the "Phans" had tried something like this.
Many of the Phan-Girls and even some of the more flamboyant Phan-boys had taken more extreme measures to get closer to Danny, some even as far as sneaking into Fenton Work's in the dead of night (pardon the pun) to get a picture or even a "souvenir" from Danny or his parent's tech, but they like all the others who dared try would get stopped by the newly installed Anti-Phan security system that Tucker and the Fenton's had come up with to keep the vultures away. Some made it as far as the front room before they were stopped by the non-lethal defense measures that were incorporated with the home and after the authorities were called the intruder was detained and placed under arrest for attempting intrusion and burglary. After many failed attempts from the persistent "Phans", the Fentons and Police had enough so they called a meeting with Mayor Folley to complain and had him create a city ordinance to have anyone not recognized by the Fenton Security System or Home Interface would be arrested on the spot and fined $5,000 for each attempt. Now the interface had parameters of who would be allowed in the home and those parameters were set by the Fentons and Mayor Folley and only the Fentons or Mayor Folley could alter the list at any time. Slowly the "Phans" started backing off from entering the house, however it didn't stop some of them from seeing Danny when he was out and about in public.
In minutes when they caught sight of Danny and Sam, they surrounded them and started praising and cheering for Danny while Sam was pushed out of the way seeing as she wasn't their target. Danny tried to get away, but they were relentless in their attack, and the attention that Danny got from the opposite sex finally got overwhelming for Sam her jealousy finally snapped when Danny got a kiss, not on his cheek, but full on the lips, and from Sam's perspective Danny didn't even try to pull away.
Now, this was when all hell broke loose, Sam in her anger had injured anyone in her way and punched the girl who had kissed her boyfriend away before going off on Danny for his stupidity. Danny now freed of the paparazzi and wanted to take sam away from all this didn't get the chance to as Sam had enough and finally spoke her mind. She told him how sick she was about all this and how Danny revealing himself was the dumbest mistake he could have made. Danny feeling hurt and growing angry wanted to just leave but Sam didn't give him the chance to. Sam started to get personal and told him that if his idiot parents hadn't made that stupid portal Danny wouldn't have his powers and he'd just be a normal teen and they free from these "whores". Danny could take insults about himself pretty well, but he despised anyone who made fun of his parents and family. Now Danny went from calmly angry to explosive, he started going off on Sam about her flaws that he'd been keeping his mouth shut on and the two began fighting in front of the paparazzi; who all were in shock at the scene that the couple had made. The fight had gone on for over an hour and some of the "Phans" had dispersed while others had started recording the couple's argument in their sick pleasure for entertainment that would make a good story online. The fight had ended with a harsh slap to Danny's face, Sam telling Danny that they were through and had thrown the class ring that he gave her at him and it landed on the ground as she stormed off. Danny after seeing Sam walk away and after calming down took to the skies back home. Danny, not wanting to have his friendship with Sam end on a sour note, waited a few days to apologize to her and try to make things right, but when Danny went to her house he found a "For Sale" sign and a vacant house.
Danny hasn't seen Sam since that faithful day and had no clue of where she was or how to get a hold of her since she blocked him from calling him. So Danny went home defeated after not just losing his girlfriend, but one of his long-time best friends. When he went back home he just shut himself off in his room and hardly left it for anything, not even his ghost sense would cause him to get out of his room, but he'd occasionally out of habit just fly over town not really caring where he was and after a half hour would just return home and go back to sulking in his room. His parents and Jazz had tried to get Danny to come out of his room, but nothing they tried seemed to work. Jazz had told them at Danny was going through the stages of a breakup as most breakups do to a young man his age and that given time and support from his other friends and family that he'd be back to his somewhat normal self.
Many of the "Phans" were shocked to see their favorite couple break up, some saw it as a way to get closer to Danny, and others saw it as the end of Team Phantom. Since the "Phans" weren't allowed to see Danny directly, "Phans" began to send Danny letters of affection to the hero, some as condolences for his breakup, some asking him out on a date that included the sender's name and phone number, and some had...more adult-like material in them. Danny didn't read any of those letters as they weren't his time or effort, it got so out of hand that the mail person had to under the new statute go through the mail that Danny got and separate them into two piles "Phan" mail and other.
It was a couple of weeks into the breakup that Jazz had finally had enough and wanted her brother back to the way he was before she had to leave for college. So with courage, she kicked down Danny's door and saw the young man who used to be her slightly annoying and courageous little brother was now a former shell of himself. She flicked on the lights and saw how disheveled he looked. Danny had a prominent 5 O'Clock shadow on his face, bags under his eyes, and his hair unkempt as he stared at an old picture of Sam on his phone. Jazz couldn't just stand there and watch him like this, so she walked over and sat down on his bed. She waited for him to notice and start talking, but when he didn't, Jazz took that as a sign that Danny wasn't in a talkative mood, so she started. She wanted to go through her "List" of phrases to say to a patient dealing with depression, but she knew that Danny had already heard all of them by now and decided just to talk to him, not as a psychiatrist, but as his big sister. It took some time and some visits from his parents before Danny finally decided to talk, Jazz patiently waited and listened to Danny as he opened up about his breakup and Sam's disappearance. After listening to Danny, Jazz gave Danny an ultimatum. She told him that could keep withering away in grief or he could try and move on as hard as it might be. To get her point across Jazz grabbed one of the letters that had piled up and randomly opened it and started reading it.
The letter that Jazz read was from not a Phan, but from a child who wrote him telling her little brother how much of a role model he was to them and how he was their favorite superhero. A hero that they wished would visit them in their hometown to see them in person for even a few minutes. Danny's mood changed and he grabbed at another letter in the pile his eyes widened when he was invited to events like movie openings, concerts, and even some local charity events that wanted him there as a guest of honor and volunteer his time to the community. More letters were from younger "Phans" but were much tamer than the others, some had fan art of himself fighting ghosts, flying in the sky, or just standing next to the child who wrote it. These letters were bringing Danny out of his sadness and he slowly started to feel better. Danny slowly went through each letter until his eyes caught the sight of a familiar logo on the front of the envelope and it read: The Make-A-Wish Foundation. Danny hurriedly opened the letter and read that the foundation had wanted him to visit a few children whose wish was to spend a day with their favorite hero, maybe even show off some of his ghost powers, and just have a good time before they...
Danny couldn't say no to that, he couldn't feel sorry for himself when there were others out there who were going through much worse than he was and still had a smile on their face. When he got to the bottom of the letter, he found the contact info for the foundation and had Jazz get ahold of them for him while he took care of himself. Jazz with a smile agreed and watched as Danny finally left his room and towards the bathroom where he would start to finally get over his break up and back on track with who he is. Danny Fenton, her little brother, and Danny Phantom; a Hero who lifts the spirits of others, no matter how small or weak they might be on the outside. On the inside, they were even braver than he was and Danny would protect and ensure happiness for them, that's who Danny is. So Danny began on his path of recovery, by lifting the spirits of those whose time could end in an instant. Danny would visit and the expression of joy on the child's face would make Danny smile and be proud that he was doing some good, even to those he's never met in his life.
On his visits, Danny would fly through the walls or ground next to or in front of the child and would playfully say "Boo" to startle them enough to get their attention. The child would look around before noticing the Hero and scream in excitement and Danny would introduce himself to them before saying that someone "wished" to see him and was glad that Desiree was nearby. This small joke would make the child giggle and the smile made it all worth it. Sometimes the child would give Danny a small gift saying "Thank You" for making their wish come true. The gift would be either a small drawing, a necklace/bracelet, or even in a few cases a small toy that he'd cherish with the memory of the day. Danny, with special permission from the parents and doctors, would take a few of the kids he visited on a small, supervised flight wherever the child wanted within reason. These times were great for Danny, but he slowly came to realize that there was one child that he hasn't seen, but has recently been on his mind...Danielle
Danielle or Dani as she likes to be called, was a clone of himself that his rival and currently ex-billionaire, ghostly outcast, Vlad Plasmius had created along with four others. Danielle was different than the other clones that Vlad had created to capture him and acquire his mid-morph DNA to stabilize a "Prime" clone copy of himself so that Vlad would have the "Perfect son". The others were just mindless servants that followed Vlads twisted orders, but Danielle she was different. He didn't know what it was that made Danielle different than the others, but something in his heart told him to protect her...to protect his daughter.
Yes, daughter; not his first cousin once removed nor his little sister. It didn't matter that she was artificially created, she shared both is DNA and E.N.A(Ectoplasmic Nucleic Acid). It took Danny some time to realize this and when he did, the floodgates of the emotion of a worried parent hit him hard, and his break up with Sam didn't help aid in his depression. At first, he wasn't sure if he was just his overprotective nature or if that thought that Danielle was his daughter, so during one of his talks with his sister he brought the topic up slowly. Danny had confessed to having something missing in his life, even before he and Sam broke up. Jazz asked him to describe this feeling to her as best as he could and that she'd help him figure it out. Danny began to explain without revealing too much information about Danielle that he was worried about someone and it was hurting him not knowing where they are or if they were even still alive. Danny knew that Danielle was still alive, he could sense it as well as his ghost sense. When he finished Jazz had commented that Danny had sounded like a worried Parent concerned about their child which made her giggle not knowing that what she said made Danny's eyes open. Danny told Jazz that he wanted to be alone for a while to sort out these feelings and that he was going to go on Patrol later. Jazz understood and before she left hugged her little brother, telling him that she'll always be here to support him. Once she was gone, Danny went online to do some research of his own about what it means to be a parent.
In his research, Danny had come to learn about the different kinds of bonds a person can have with someone and how powerful they can be. He had learned that the most powerful kind of bond a person can have for another besides romantic was a parental bond. A parental bond, by definition, is the intense attachment that develops between parents and their baby. It makes parents want to shower their baby with love and affection and to protect and care for their little one. This made Danny's eyes widen, it was true. His not being there for Danielle was breaking his heart and he became determined to remedy this. So he turned to the one ghost who can help him, Clockwork. When he got there and explained what he needed Clockwork to do, Clockwork simply, but politely declined his proposal to aid him to find Danielle. Danny wanted to argue with Clockwork, but Clockwork simply told him that it wasn't the right time for him to intervene and would only do so when the time was right. Danny looked defeated, but he wouldn't give up. If Clockwork wouldn't help, then Danny had to take things into his own hands. So he did, so with his ability to make and control perfect ecto-images or copies of himself, Danny began to send these copies of himself out to help his search to find Danielle and hopefully bring her back home. So Danny did this and for the rest of the year and the next, there was no sign of her anywhere. What Danny didn't know was that the young ghost girl would come to need him now more than ever.
Here we are now, two years later and Danny was just a few miles away from home on his nightly patrol high above Amity Park. These patrols were starting to drain him more and more with each passing day, even though the crime rate was slim to none and it was nothing that he couldn't handle by himself, but lately, he's been wishing that someone could help him with his patrols. Danny was beginning to miss the old days when his friends would patrol with him, but sadly those days are long gone as Tucker was too busy with his duties of being Mayor, his parents couldn't help since they were working on a new project in the nation's capital, Jazz has been in college, and Sam...we already know the story there. Danny was almost done with his Patrol and was about to call it a night when he heard an explosion...and it sounded close.
"That sounded like it came from the park, better go check it out and see what's been going bump in the night," Danny said as he changed direction and flew off towards the park.
So what do you all think of this?
