Disclaimer: I don't own Chuck
"Okay, Family Court," Sarah announced. It was a Saturday afternoon, Chuck had just sat down to eat lunch and he dropped his sandwich onto his plate with that proclamation.
"What did you do?" Chuck hissed at Molly.
"It wasn't me," Molly insisted.
"Clara?" Chuck asked, turning to her.
"Wasn't me," Clara replied. It dawned on all three at the same time.
"JASON?!" They said together. The younger boy shrugged.

Chuck sat on the couch, joined by Clara and Molly. Jason was in the recliner, looking at the floor, and Sarah was standing in front of them. "Now," Sarah began.
"Uh, Mom, not to cause an issue, but before you begin, we need a judge, a prosecuting attorney, and a defense attorney," Molly pointed out. Sarah gave her a look. "Don't get mad at me because I know how courts work. You know I love Law & Order."
"It's so you can know how to get away with things," Chuck groused. Molly simply shrugged.
"Fine, I will be the prosecutor, and Chuck will be the judge," Sarah began.
"Objection, you are sleeping with the judge," Molly objected.
"You can't object, you're not the defense," Sarah argued.
"Molly, help," Jason pleaded. Molly just looked at her mom.
"Fine, I will let you be the defense, but Chuck is the judge, and if you don't like that, I will simply make my own ruling and that's how it will go," Sarah told her daughter.
"I will represent my client, but if the ruling goes against him, I will file an appeal, because everyone here knows you have him wrapped around your finger," Molly pointed out.
"I can be impartial," Chuck said, and realized no one was listening to him.
"I know you can, Baby," Sarah said to him. Chuck smiled at her.
"See, she's doing it right now," Molly pointed out.
"Okay, Missy, we also know you have your father wrapped around your finger," Sarah argued.
"I'm not even sure why I'm here," Chuck mused.
"I would like to request a motion for continuance," Molly said. "Since we have yet to receive any of the evidence."
"Denied," Sarah told her.
"I'm sorry, but that would be the judge's call," Molly countered. Chuck looked over at Sarah who shook her head. "Again, objection, he is asking you what you think."
"We're not saying anything," Sarah replied.
"Mom," Molly said, exasperated. "ALL of us have heard you two talk about your many ways of communicating."
"It's kinda disgusting," Jason blurted out.
"Hush," Molly told him. "I'm trying to save you."
"You want the evidence?" Sarah asked.
"I do," Molly answered.
"I don't think you can handle the evidence," Sarah said, leaning in, mother and daughter staring at each other in the eye.
"Order!" Chuck said, looking proud of himself.
"We both know he was talking to you, not me," Sarah said softly.
"Again, I OBJECT!" Molly replied.
"Sarah, that goes for you to," Chuck said. Sarah straightened, looked over at Chuck, raising an eyebrow, and having an amused smile on her face. "Sarah," he said in a low warning voice.
"Seriously, you two, now is not the time for another brother or sister," Molly groused.
"I'm not doing anything!" Chuck protested.
"Ain't that the truth," Molly muttered. "Mom, what is the charge."
"Jason is playing video games until five A.M online," Sarah told her.
"That's impossible, I have the wi-fi blocked after eleven at night," Chuck told her.
"Oh," Molly said, grinning. "I thought this was going to be hard."
"Excuse me?" Sarah asked.
"I call to the stand, Sarah Bartowski," Molly said.
"Wait, I go first, you can't just-" Sarah began.
"I'll allow it!" Chuck cut in. "Mrs. Bartowski, please, take the stand." Sarah gave him a look but sat in the chair across from Jason. "Do you swear to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, so help you God?"
"I do, and I must say, I do enjoy the way you have jumped into this role-play," Sarah said, honey dripping from her voice.
"MOM!" all three kids yelled at once. Sarah tried to look a little abashed, but failed miserably.
"Mrs. Bartowski, is it your belief that your son, Jason, is playing video games, online, late at night?" Molly asked, as she got up and began to pace the living room floor.
"It is," Sarah replied.
"And where in the house rules, is that a problem?" Molly asked.
"Well," Sarah began.
"Isn't it true, Mrs. Bartowski, if that is your real name," Molly cut in.
"God it better be," Chuck said softly. Molly gave him a look and shook her head, making Chuck clear his throat. "Sorry, continue."
"Isn't it true, that not only is there no rule against what happened, but Jason has been quite productive this summer," Molly continued.
"He has, but he's sleeping until one most days," Sarah pointed out.
"Is he getting all of his chores done?"
"Yes," Sarah replied.
"Has he actually broken any house rules?" Molly asked.
"Well, technically-"
"Yes, or no, Mrs. Bartowski," Molly cut in.
Sarah glared at Molly. Molly didn't flinch. Sarah took a breath and answered, "No."
"Isn't it also true that the reason Jason can play online is actually your fault?" Molly continued, walking behind the chair Sarah was sitting in, gently tracing her finger over the back of the chair, only to quickly come around the corner, lower her face, and accuse Sarah.
"Wait, what?" Chuck asked.
"I don't get where-"
"Didn't you try to fix the internet when dad was out of town a few weeks ago?" Molly asked.
Sarah squirmed a little in the chair. "I did," Sarah admitted.
"And didn't you make it worse?" Molly continued.
"I did," Sarah replied.
"Now, Mrs. Bartowski, I want you think very carefully before you answer the next question." Molly let the question hang in the air. "Do you know a man by the name of Jack Burton?" she asked softly.
"Darlin?" they heard from the other room.
"How does he do that?" Chuck asked.
"GRANDPA!" the three children yelled, running to see him.
"Why would you try to fix the internet?" Chuck asked Sarah.
"She was trying to keep me off-line," Jack said with a shrug, coming into the room. "She worried knowing that your Internet was encrypted that I might be tempted to try something and I wouldn't get to see you all anymore."
"Was this when I had to go to DC and your dad stayed here?" Chuck asked. Sarah nodded and Chuck grinned.
"So did you not, in your attempt to keep your father safe, let Jason onto the network, and let him make himself an admin?" Molly continued.
"Oh, Sarah," Chuck said, shaking his head.
"I did," Sarah admitted. "But he turned off the admin rights once dad left!"
"Sarah," Chuck said, still shaking his head.
"Isn't it also true that you told Jason to do whatever he had to, to make sure your dad didn't use the wi-fi?" Molly continued.
"Yes," Sarah replied.
"One last question, Mrs. Bartowski…if that is your real name."
"Why do you keep saying that?" Sarah asked.
"Is there anything in the house rules that says that once made an admin, a child can change the settings on the wi-fi they play video games on?" Molly asked, looking at her nails.
Sarah started to protest, but saw the grin on her dad's face. She shook her head. "No," Sarah admitted.
"Your honor, I have no further questions for this witness at this time, but reserve the right to recall her should…I need to or something," Molly said.
"You do words so well," Chuck told her. She stuck out her tongue at him as she sat down. "I hold you in contempt."
"I would like to call my witness," Sarah said, standing.
"Go right ahead," Chuck said, leaning back on the couch.
"Charles. Irving. Bartowski," Sarah said, emphasizing each name.
"Gonna miss you dad," Jason said softly.
"What?" Chuck asked. Sarah simply pointed to the seat she had been sitting in. Chuck looked over at Molly.
"I got nuthin," Molly admitted. Chuck sighed, stood, walked over to the chair, and sat. Molly stood and walked over to him. "Do you swear to tell the truth or suffer the wrath of mom?"
"God, yes," Chuck blurted out.
"He's all yours," Molly told Sarah. "May God have mercy on your soul," Molly said softly to Chuck.
"What the hell?" Chuck said. Before he could say anything else, Sarah was sitting in his lap.
"I object," Molly began.
"Overruled," Chuck replied, never taking his eyes off of Sarah.
"Good grief, I'm gonna get another brother or sister," Molly lamented.
"I'm honestly shocked you don't have more," Jack agreed.
"Mr. Bartowski, did you know about our son playing these video games?" Sarah asked.
"Yep," Chuck answered.
"May I remind you, Mr. Bartowski that the penalty for lying…wait a minute, what?" Sarah asked.
"Wait, what's the penalty for dad lying?" Jason asked.
"You're too young to know," Molly told him.
"Hell, I'm too young to know," Jack added.
"You knew?" Sarah asked.
"Sure did," Chuck replied. "You see a few months ago, you told me how you knew all of the kids tricks because of your dad and your..shenanigans from in the past."
"I appreciate you phrasing it like that," Jack said.
"And I told you, that you could be fooled," Chuck reminded her. "You may have laughed at me-"
"I didn't laugh," Sarah argued.
"Totally laughed, Mom," Clara said.
"Yep, you laughed, Mom," Jason agreed.
"Mom, you got what was coming to you," Molly said with a shrug.
"Wait, you were all in on this?"
"Listen, Mom, you kinda have him wrapped around your little finger, and dad deserves a win every once in a while," Clara pointed out.
"I mean, losing is not that terrible," Chuck admitted.
"Dad, for the love of God, stop," Jason begged.
"I am ready to make my ruling," Chuck said, his arms wrapped around his wife, her giving him an amused smile and shaking her head. "Jason, you may continue to play those games, but know I am monitoring you, AND if your mom tells you to be up at a certain time, you be up at a certain time."
"Yes, sir," Jason said.
"Jack, for your part in this, Clara and Jason will be spending the night with you," Chuck continued.
"How did he even know to be here?" Sarah asked.
"Jason text me as soon as you yelled family court," Jack told her.
"Molly, you go out with Jerry, but be home before your curfew," Chuck told her.
"Actually I'm going to Grandpa's as well when our date is over," Molly told Chuck. "There's a good chance I'm going to come home and there be a sock on the door knob."
"Why?" Clara asked. Chuck gave Molly a look, and she looked away, whistling.
"And you, Mrs. Bartowski," Chuck said, ignoring Clara's question. "Well, I will spend the rest of the night, apologizing to you for having to show you up this way."
"Welp, time to go," Jack said, hopping up and leaving.
"I'm out," Jason said, springing from the chair and running.
"Yeck!" Clara yelled, running.
"You two," Molly said, shaking her head and grinning. "Don't make any phone calls." With that, she got up and left the room.
"I will make any phone calls I wish!" Sarah yelled after her. She turned back to Chuck seeing the terrified look on his face. "No, baby, we aren't, you can't handle another."
Chuck raised an eyebrow. "Sarah, that kinda talk is what led us to this moment. Can we please not do this?"
"We won't," she told him, standing, taking his hand and helping him up. "I know, you're too old to have one."
"Woman," Chuck said in a low voice. She turned around, grinning, and walked backwards to the stairs. "I am not that old."
"You sure?" Chuck charged. She "eeped" and scrambled up the stairs, Chuck chasing her.
Outside in her car, Molly shook her head. "I'm too old to have a brother or sister."
A/N: Yeah, they're good.
