The halls of Hogwarts slowly began to grow empty as the students went home for the holidays, while a few stayed behind at the castle. It was the time of year to spend time with friends and family. It used to be the favorite time of the year for Fae. Her friends had moved on with their own lives, having families of their own probably. From time to time, she would write to them to see what they were up to. Fae looked down at the woolen hand knitted scarf that her mother had sent her through owl mail, along with a letter.

"I miss you. I've heard about what's been going on with the dark wizards and recent kidnappings. Have you heard anything from Jacob? Your friends, they have been sending me letters. I'll send them your way when I get the chance. Stay safe and warm.

With lots of love,

Mum."

Fae chuckled looking down at the letter. It had been a while since she had contacted her friends. She needed to write back to them. With so much going on, she didn't have the time. Her eyes lingered on her brother's name, feeling anger burning in her chest. It was best her mom didn't know what was going on for her own safety. Her brother was no longer. Salazar was stealing his body and is roaming around doing who knows what. She had to stop him. Fae sighed and turned back to her two animal companions.

"Okay, I'm going to step out for a bit." She told them. Fae placed down a bowl of animal food for the two of them. "Happy Christmas. You two stay out of trouble while I'm gone." She smiled and closed the door behind her as she left her room. Dipper turned his head towards the tawny owl who was narrowing its beady eyes down at the niffler. Dipper slapped it's paws down on the animal food, sliding the bowl towards him. It snorted then began to stuff the food into its pouch. Mine! Fae's owl let out an angry screech, using it's talons to grab onto the side of the bowl, now in a tug of war.

Fae yawned as she started her patrols in the hallways, looking for any students who were out of bed, as the night began to grow late, using her wand as a light source. As she was doing her final rounds the library, Fae heard a small click from a door coming from the forbidden section. Fae peered over the corner to see the door, slightly open and walked over to it. She looked inside the room, seeing that it was empty, but a large mirror stood in the center. The moonlight reflected off from the panes of the windows, shining into the mirror's glass. Fae's eyes widen as she saw Harry appearing into thin air as he pulled off the invisibility cloak. It sagged onto the floor behind him and Harry sat down on the floor, resting his arms on his knees as he stared back into the mirror. What was he looking at? There was nothing there. There was something strange about this mirror. Fae frowned as she leaned in closer. The door creaked as she did, startling Harry. He stood up and spun around. He paled when he saw Fae standing by the door.

"Professor Craft, I-I was just-" Harry sputtered nervously, his voice got caught in his throat, realizing that he had been caught. Fae stepped inside the room, heading towards him. "Do you have any idea what time it is? What are you doing up at this hour wandering the corridors?" She questioned Harry. Harry turned back over towards the mirror then walked over to her and pulled Fae's hand, guiding her over to the mirror.

"I need to show you something! Hurry!" He spoke. "I've already showed Ron, but his was different."

"Different? Harry, you are not making any sense." Fae frowned, looking down at him, confused. Harry pointed out towards the mirror.

"What do you you see?" Fae turned back, looking into the mirror. She saw herself and Harry standing next to each other at their reflection before the mirror began to warp as Harry vanished beside her.

Fae's eyes widen as she saw her mother, her dead father, and her brother standing behind her as they were smiling down at her from behind. Fae felt her heart began to beat fast as she laid her eyes on her brother in fear. She looked behind her, only to see nothing was behind her. When she looked back, Fae was shocked to see that her family had vanished and saw that she looked a bit older, a little taller, but still the same. She was wearing a dark green and grey robe and her hair was longer. Fae noticed that she was heavily pregnant as a large baby bump peeked through her dress. Someone else coming up behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist, hugging her tightly. Severus. Fae couldn't believe her eyes as she stared back at the reflection. She felt her heart pounding more as she saw Severus smiling slightly as he stared back at her. She longed for that smile wishing for it to be true. Fae backed away a little as Harry watched her, waiting. There was something wrong with this mirror.

"I..." Fae paused before she spoke. "I see my family back together again. My mother, father, and... brother."

"So, yours was different as well." Harry sighed, looking down.

"What did you see?" Fae asked him.

"I saw my parents." He told her. Fae frowned, looking back towards the mirror. Footsteps slowly approached the two and Dumbledore's voice called out to Fae and Harry, spooking them. They turned around to see the old headmaster, standing behind them with a twinkle in his eyes.

"I see you two have stumbled across the Mirror of Erised." He spoke walking over to them, glancing over towards the mirror. "I assume that you know what the mirror does?" Harry shook his head. Fae had a hunch but stayed silent. Dumbledore smiled and continued. "Let me give you a clue. The happiest person on earth would look into the mirror and see only himself exactly as they are."

"It shows us what we want. Whatever we want." Harry replied. Dumbledore shook his head.

"Yes and no. It shows us nothing more or less than the deepest and most desperate desires of our hearts." He explained.

"Why do you have something like this?" Fae questioned.

"It had been here at Hogwarts for a long time. This mirror gives us neither knowledge nor truth. Men have wasted away from it, even gone mad. That is why tomorrow it will be moved to a new home. I must ask you two not to go looking for it again. It does not do you good to dwell on dreams and forget to live." He told them. Fae and Harry nodded. "Now off to bed." Harry picked up his invisibility cloak, putting it on, waiting for Fae. Fae turned back to Dumbledore.

"Professor, if you do not mind my asking. What do you see in the mirror?" Dumbledore smiled.

"Comfortable warm socks." He told her. "There's a present that I left for you in your room that I think that you'll like."

Fae looked at him confused but shrugged it off and walked away, leaving the room. Dumbledore watched her left before glancing back into the mirror one last time. In it was a taller man, looking similar to Albus, with a long white beard like his, a girl with long blond hair, wearing a blue dress, and another man with pale skin, short light blond hair and pale blue eyes.

Fae walked around the corridor, hearing Harry quietly following behind her. Then Quirrel was suddenly slammed against the wall, making Fae scream. "Merlin's beard!" Severus glared at the man as he pinned Quirrel against the wall.

"You don't want me as your enemy, Quirrel."

"I-I don't know what you mean, Severus-!" Quirrel stuttered, nervously. He glanced over at Fae. Severus did so slightly but never took his eyes off of Quirrel. "Help me!"

"Severus, what are you doing?" Fae questioned, narrowing her eyes at Quirrel suspiciously. Severus ignored her.

"She is not a part of this. This is between us. You and I our going to have another little chat soon to find out where your loyalties lie." Snape muttered, darkly. Footsteps began to approach the group as Filch walked up to them, with Mrs. Norris. The cat hissed as it instantly saw Fae. Fae never liked her. Always hissing and clawing at her whenever she got close. Filch glared at Fae before turning towards the other two professors. "I've found this in the forbidden section of the library. There's a student out of bed." Filch told them, holding up a broken lantern.

"Well, you guys go and find them. I'm going to turn in for the night." Fae replied. Filch led Quirrel away taking him to the library, Snape lingered behind. "Did you perhaps see anyone, Miss Craft?" He questioned. Fae could feel his eyes piercing through her like daggers, digging into her mind. Fae shook her head and smiled. "Nope. Not a thing. Other than you man-handling another teacher." Snape frowned.

"Are you sure?" He asked again. Fae nodded. "Yes. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm turning in for the night." She told him as she walked away then stopped. "Happy Christmas, Severus." She heard Snape stop in his tracks as he was leaving before, he left to meet up with Filch and Quirrel.

As Fae reached the door to her room, she was met with a loud screeching sound, followed by someone yelling inside. Her eyes widen and she quickly opened the door. As Fae stepped in, her eyes widen, and her mouth dropped when she saw a woman wearing yellow robes with braided blond hair with some of her owl's feathers sticking out from it. She was separating Fae's two creatures, preventing them from fighting as she levitated them in the air.

"Penny?" Fae couldn't believe it. It was one of her best friends! Penny Haywood, Hufflepuff. Penny squealed as she saw Fae running up to her, wrapping her arms around Fae, hugging her, jumping up and down. "Happy Christmas!" She exclaimed. Fae joined her.

"What are you doing here?" Fae asked her as the two moved to her bed.

"Dumbledore sent me. He said that you've been acting down lately so here I am!" Penny smiled. "You've got to tell me everything! What have you've been doing!?" Fae sighed. She clenched her robes tightly in her hands.

"There's so much. Too much that you're not going to believe it." She told Penny. Penny's smile dropped slightly before nodding telling her to go on. "Merlua's dead." Penny's eyes widened, covering her mouth. "W-What?! No! But how? What happened?!"

"Jacob killed her." Fae told her. Penny's eyes widen a little more and placed her hand on Fae's. "Explain." Fae felt her eyes begin to sting as she told her. "He found the vault. It was a trap. His body had been taken over by Salazar Slytherin. He's been kidnapping people doing who knows what to them. He's not my brother anymore. I don't know what he is!" She cried as she explained what had happened between her and Jacob.

"We'll figure something out. We always do. Don't give up." Penny told her. "I'll help in any way that I can."

"It is nice to see you again." Fae smiled, wiping her eyes. Penny smiled. "So, you've been staying here at Hogwarts. A home away from home! Lucky!"

"Yeah, Dumbledore wanted me here to help out watching over the students as Snape's assistant." Fae spoke. Penny's eyes widen. "Snape! How can you last a day with him!?" Fae snorted.

"He's not that bad." She replied. Penny rolled her eyes.

"Of course, he's not, considering you were in Slytherin. Let me guess you still have a crush on him as well after all these years." Fae made a sheepish smile.

"I still do." She told her.

"You poor thing." Penny laughed. 'Does he even know?"

"It's a bit complicated. But I don't even think that he does. I'm just taking it slow to see what happens. If he doesn't return my feelings, I'm fine with that." Fae spoke. Penny frowned. "But you're not."

Fae brushed off what she said and continued. "But that's not all that's happened."

"What?" Penny asked.

"Harry Potter is here in Hogwarts." Fae smirked. She saw her friend's mouth dropped in shock.

"You've been teaching Harry Potter!?" She exclaimed.
