Bianca Robbins Chapter 1
Present Day:
During the long four years of college working her butt off for, earning her teaching degree, peaceful nights when Bianca is taking long night walks on the beach in front of her grandfather's house is exactly what she needed. To clear her mind and recharge after a long day dedicated to her work.
Now that Bianca has her degree, much to her grandfather's pride, can't stop bragging about it to his circle of friends, she's very eager to put the skill's that she's worked so hard to cultivate to the test.
Only problem is that Bianca can't seem to get hired out of the gate just yet. Bianca can admit that maybe she was a bit overconfident, expecting to get a job out there after a couple of interviews even if it wasn't on the first one. Instead, it's been a handful of rejections. Grandfather is encouraging as always. Telling her to keep trying, that one of them will turn into an acceptance eventually. The key thing is to stay positive and look on the bright side of things. Something will turn up sooner or later.
What Bianca doesn't expect is to literally find it lying face flat on the shoreline like she does tonight.
Bianca and Robbins are currently on one of their regular evening walks with the latter's guide dog Gillie in the sand. With Bianca having her arm looped through his, Gillie is allowed to move ahead of them on her own. Robbins has had the dog long enough to know that Gillie is devoted to her master. She'll never stray too far from him and will immediately returned when summoned. She's a very gentle, loving, loyal, and helpful beast.
Not too far away from the house Gillie discovers something in the sand. She's barking loudly, alerting them to her discovery.
"What is it Gillie? Find yourself another sand crab," said Robbin's, curious, since the German shepherd is constantly finding wandering crustacean on these nightly excursions.
Because he's blind Robbin's isn't able to clarify what's gotten his guide dog all worked up.
Bianca, on the other hand, can.
And what Bianca sees is something she cannot believe.
There right in front of her is a leaving and breathing gargoyle.
An elderly tan gargoyle with long, white hair and golden webbing in his wings. His left eye has a deep scar over the eyelid showing that he's probably blind, too, in that eye. He's wearing a red tunic with black shoulder armor and tan trousers. The gargoyle's long tail is trailing behind him, partially into the water. Also, he carries what appears to be a short sword that is held in the belt of his loincloth.
Bianca is left standing there, wide eyed, speechless.
Strange how there's a large cannister planted right beside him underneath one arm.
"Bianca, what is it," said Robbins.
Bianca stammers, trying to get the words out but can't seem to arrange them correctly.
Before Bianca can work up the nerve the gargoyle begins to regain consciousness, groaning as he rolls over completely onto his stomach. Gillie approaches, sniffs and licks the gargoyle in the face in a friendly manner which actually gives Bianca pause. Gillie is very easygoing but she can get extremely protective over her family. So for her to react like this means that he is no danger to them despite his appearance.
Realizing that a person is in front of them, Robbins said "Who's there? You all right?"
The gargoyle gaps at the trio, probably wondering if he should bolt until he sees that the man in front of him is blind and the women has a finger to her lips, indicating that his secret is safe. In fact, thanks to Gillie's friendliness towards him, Bianca isn't that blindsided by him.
"Uh, I had a little trouble," said the gargoyle, slowly rising and straightening his battered body.
Shaking his head, Robbins said "This beach isn't that safe this late after dark anymore. Do you need a doctor?"
"No," said the gargoyle, insistently. "No. Just a place to rest until sunrise."
Bianca can understand where his refusal is originating from. Take him to a hospital and the staff would more than likely run away screaming their heads off, calling swat teams on sight.
No way. No hospitals for sure.
Stumbling on his feet, apologetically, the gargoyle said "If I could lean on you…oh."
Robbins permits the gargoyle to slightly use him for balance and since Gillie isn't trying to bite his hand off Bianca doesn't object.
"Come on. I've got a fire going," offers Robbins.
"There's little I can offer in return, except my thanks," said the gargoyle.
"That's payment in full," said Robbins, kindly. "My name's Robbins. Jeffrey Robbins. This is my granddaughter, Bianca. And you?"
'Hudson, like the river," said Hudson, hoarsely.
"It's nice to meet you, Hudson," said Bianca, smiling.
And so they enter a very interesting night.

By the way whose been watching House of the Dragon? I am so in love with Prince Daemon. He is a dream. Matt Smith was the perfect person to play that character. Similar to Hugh Jackman as Wolverine and Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool no one could've done it better.
