It has been four years since Saito and Mary started their studies in the Onmyoji Academy, it is graduation day, and the grand master told the students to come to attention as he did the traditional opening of the ceremony, "Attention, Attention, Bring Ye Attention Students. This day is the day that eight mystics may graduate and join as official onmyoji guardians of our beloved empire, each of you has shown great progress to your masters and has been determined that you are ready for the trial of light and darkness."

As each student went to a room they began to do the final test, the test consisted of attacking a dummy with one of their talismans, using their weakest element, for Saito this was torture, since his weakest element was fire, as he took a fire talisman and held in his hand, "Fire Talisman come to my aide, Fire Man." As the threw the talisman at the target is transformed into a samurai which was on fire, using his sword he slashed sending waves of fire against the target, and as the target burned it immediately ran towards it to do a killing attack, jumping in the air slashing the target in half and landing to grab both pieces and explode.

His master Tsubaki made notes on the exam and quickly told him that they were done, now it is time to wait for the other people to finish. Mary was having a little trouble she used a lightning talisman the same as her brother except made for lightning, and as she held it in her hands, "Lightning Talisman come to my aid, Lightning Wolf."

A wolf made completely of lightning appeared and it ran straight for the target ripping it to pieces and then frying the pieces to dust. Her master a void mystic Xemnas as he walked over to Mary began to laugh telling her that it was simply wonderful, a true sight to behold. Now they only need to wait for the other seven to finish their exams.

A few hours later everyone was finished with their exams, and all eight were very nervous about how well did they do. Everyone passed the exams the grand master told the people waiting that their masters will report on how each of them had done. "All eight have submitted to the trials and have been tested for their magic and knowledge concerning many matters from the magical to the mundane, each examiner shall now announce their findings."

With that, Miyazaki Daisuke, Master of Metal strode forward and talked to the assembly for a moment before focusing on his student Chizuru.

"Amekage Chizuru, you have great skills in Fire, Earth, Water, and Metal, competent in Wind, but you have very little skill in the use of the other elements." He stepped back to where he was standing with the other masters.

The next was the Earth Mistress Kasegawa Kagero, as she was ready to tell her students' exam results. She stepped forwards and focused on Honda Kanna.

"Honda Kanna. you have shown talent in using Water, Wind, and Ice competently in Fire and Earth, but very little talent in the remaining elements." She was critical and harsh, which spoke of her exhaustion which was understandable since she is in her mid-nineties. "You have not shown the prerequisite skill in the remaining three magics."

Yotsuba Toru received his results from his master, the Wood Master Kobayashi Kaoru, saying that grumbling that he had shown only skill in the Wind Element, he however did praise his divination skills. Harada Yusei Master of Water declared Akagi Ryuunosuke, to be a prodigy in using Fire, and was excellent in using Metal, Lightning, and Earth.

The next was the Wind Mistress, Kazehana reporting on her student Kazekage Temari, as she mentioned that Temari was excellent in using Earth, Wind, and Metal Magic, with a weak affinity to Fire. The next was the Lightning Master Uchiha Sasuke, who was not a very easy man to like since he was very demanding of his students, to the point that people call him a nightmare, but not without reason. Since the element was very hard to control and dangerous.

"Mikoto Misaka, you have great talent when it comes to fire, lightning and metal, but a weaker affinity to the other elements only wish that you would think a little bit more about how to solve a problem, and were a little bit more aware of being a lady."

The next one was the Void Master Xenmas, who was a particularly cold and calculating individual, he always set goals for his students to make them either succeed or break. Many considered him to be one of the most heartless masters in the Academy.

"Hiraga Mary, you have impressed me greatly with your control over void magic, your control over fire, ice and wind is truly praiseworthy but you still lack in the other elements, never be overconfident and always strive to grow stronger, for power is what matters most."

The Ice Master Tsubaki was last to report on his student, but it was the single most anticipated one since he managed to do what he once promised, along with his sister Mary they graduated three times faster than any student ever before. The young man was a dedicated, reliable, and respectable student, which made Tsubaki push him harder than anyone else before.

"Hiraga Saito, you have great control over Ice, Wind, Water, and Wood, you have shown great competence in Metal and Lightning. Your very best element is Void, however, your weakest still is fire for some strange reason. You have been one of my best students and I can safely say that you make me very proud to be your master."

After hearing this the grand master told them that every single one has passed and advanced in rank to become junior adept members of the Imperial Onmyoji. Each of the masters would have to go to the cloister of rituals to perform the servant summoning ritual. Where they would summon their servants in the cloister with so many carvings, runes, and shields from good luck to protection from evil were carved into the very building, the sheer number of them was staggering.

He would have to spend twelve hours to try and find two familiars that will become his servants, he had to place talismans in a circle each one for every single element, as he sat down on the floor in a mediating position he began to lay the talismans one after another in the circle while thinking about what his best attributes were. As each talisman was activated and began to glow according to its element the search for compatible servants could take many hours, but if a servant could not work well with the person, a new one would be searched for.

Thanks to the seal of Abe no Semei the process was a lot safer than in the past since this place prevented the possession or domination by the spirits that would come to the young adept. It was said that it would take at least twelve hours, however, they didn't have the benefit of having lived with two spirits already, which proved to be a major help to him as they both were rather good friends of his.

Saito however was a little sad, that this could also mean that his friends would have to return to his mother, which was not a very pleasant idea, after so many years with them, he sort of got used to having them near. Esmeralda told him that he had nothing to worry about, they would need to be pulled away with flaming chariots to get them to leave him and Gabriel simply nodded while blushing for some reason.

As the two talked about his best qualities the talismans began to float up into the air and divide into two circles, one representing each of the spirits that have been found that would work best for him. As the two spirits appeared and he spent two hours talking and negotiating with them, he got two tattoos as they approved he began to feel this horrible itch on his arms, as the symbols were being imprinted on the skin of Saito, the more it itched the more he wanted to scratch it, but the longer it would take for them to heal, so basically Tsubaki told him that he needs to focus on something else while this is happening to put his mind away from the itch.

As he finished every single person was shocked to find that he came out of the cloister so fast, it usually takes them twelve hours, Saito however only took two hours his sister took three hours, and they were told that the magical emperor of Japan has demanded their presence. As they went to the throne room they saw their grandfather sitting on the throne which freaked the both of them out.

Mary told him, "Grandpa what the hell are you doing? If the emperor sees you like that he will have you killed, you are the guardian of the Emperor, but still, you can't take such liberties. Come on let's go before anyone finds out." The old man begins to laugh and looks at Saito as if he simply is waiting for something. He then uses the skill Observe and is shocked for about thirty seconds as he found out the truth about his grandfather.

"Will you relax, sit down, have some tea with me, I got plenty to tell you, and not so much time." Saito looks at him and he became rather serious, "I know, you are the magical emperor, I know thanks to a skill grandpa Harry shared with me, I want to hear why have you lied to us all of our lives, and I want to hear it from you."

His grandfather told him, "Ah the gamer powers I know about them. As I said sit down, and relax. Why didn't I tell you? I had to pretend to be the guardian to have my double take my place and take care of everything I told him to do in my place, so I could have time to spend with my precious grandchildren, or else I would have ended up like Harry. This also provided me with a way to live my life away from the vipers and schemers that are like cockroaches in the imperial court."

"When you go to the other world your allies, friends, and former teachers will be told that you have been sent on a very special mission, that you may not return for some time, he reveals that the prophecy and the truth that it is not two kingdoms that need to be unified but rather two worlds. Two worlds to be able to co-exist normally and for them to kill the ancient dragon that is a threat to both worlds. The grandfather tells them that this assignment they will do as they wait for the time to be summoned.

They will work as mystics at the Yoshida Shrine, they were both handed from him a pair of seals that would be necessary for them to enter the shrine as well as their new adept robes, they already had their rank medallion as soon as they graduated handed to them by their masters.

A month has passed since that day during a meeting a green portal opened Saito went to check it to see if it was the one that would drag him over that world, but nothing happened, he went right through it, and so did every single mystic in the room, trying to figure out what is that thing and why is it there? As she goes to talk with her brother who looks kind of upset she trips on the rug and falls face-first into the portal and disappears.

Saito begins to think that he should have activated the tracking spell, worried about what his family is going to say about this. Twenty minutes later the same thing happens later he is really angry about her sister getting summoned instead of him, as he realized that as he was being summoned in a very similar way he is falling from the sky yet again.

When he crashes to the ground as Saito found himself in that world once again, thinking that he was furious about how things are happening since his sister is now being pulled into this. He was going to have a word with Louise about summoning.

One day earlier Louise was having a horrible time in her classes, for some strange reason, her magic stopped working when thirteen months before it had been working so well, and she had already unlocked her second element, it happened a couple of days before she went to Tristan Academy for her first year. She was so horrible at casting spells that people made fun of her, her long-time rival gave her the nickname which she hated most, Louise the Zero.

Other students were quick to tell instructors that maybe they should ask another person to do any spells when it was her turn, cause they end up either being disasters or explosions. She, of course, was headstrong and with her fear of failure would open try anyway and sure enough, the spell could cause a major explosion that would wreck the room. "Damn it, I could do so much better before, why the hell is this happening to me."

As people kept making fun of her and calling her that nickname she finally had it, the day for her familiar summoning ritual was going to happen tomorrow, "Kirche I had enough, I may not be proficient in all spells but there is one that I know well, and that is the familiar summon ritual, when I was eight years old I summoned my familiar."

Kirche tells her if she summoned her familiar where is it, Louise told her that two men took her familiar away, which makes the entire hall of students laugh at her saying that she only made that up to sound more amazing than she is. "I am amazing and I will prove it, tomorrow you will see my legendary familiar and I will have you eat your words."

The next day a crowd of second-year students stood with their wands out and awaited their turn to perform the summoning spell. Approximately half of their number had already summoned their Familiars.

The people are starting to summon their familiars Guiche the future groom of Montmorency summoned an Earth Mole, which he was very happy about, the two were perfect for each other, and he named her Veroandi. It was perfect because he was a specialist in Earth Magic specifically bronze, to the point his runic name was 'la Médaille de Bronze' (The Bronze).

As he was done Josette de Gallia was about to summon her familiar and she ended up summoning a weird-dressed commoner as Louise saw her it made her think of Saito, almost like the two were related somehow. She tried to stop the bonding but Professor Colbert prevented her from stopping it. "It is very bad form to try and prevent the bonding between a familiar and a master, you should know better Ms. Louise." She told him if this person is who she thinks she is, she might just cause a diplomatic incident, to which other students simply said she is just envious that she managed to get a familiar when she will of course fail.

As Mary is kissed on the lips she blushes and yells at her "How dare you kiss me and enslave me, don't you know who I am? I am." Before she manages to do anything her master ordered her to sleep and fell asleep within a second. A series of runes are seen on the right hand of the sleeping woman.

A few minutes later Professor Colbert tells the other students to continue to summon their familiars. Kirche, to Louise's irritation, had summoned a Fire Salamander she named Flame. Again, it was suited for her; because of her runic name 'l'Ardent' (The Ardent), and her primary affinity was Fire magic.

Montmorency had summoned a frog. Yes. An orange frog. She called Robin. Her primary affinity was water, so again; it made sense.

Tabitha had scored the jackpot in Louise's opinion; by summoning a blue wind Rhine Dragon, she called Silpheed. Tabitha was skilled in three elements: Wind, Water, and Ice, so it was easy to see that her power had sought a being that complemented all three at once.

"Now then." Professor Jean Colbert spoke as he stood from examining Kirche's Salamander, "Has everyone summoned their Familiar?"

The busty redhead smirked cruelly as she said, "The Zero hasn't."

Immediately, all eyes turned to Louise, who shrank back slightly at the attention concentrated on her.

"What's the matter Zero, all bark and no bite after your little boasting session the other day?" Kirche taunted her, a slight vicious edge in her voice. "Oh, that's right -all that will happen is yet another explosion and nothing else!"

"Enough, Miss Zerbst," Colbert ordered before turning to Louise. "Now, Miss Vallière. Kindly begin the spell if you please."

Louise nodded before taking a breath. 'You can do this.' she told herself firmly. Releasing her breath, she raised her wand and channeled her willpower into it.

She ground her teeth together and narrowed her eyes. She would not fail, because it was not a choice. She had staked the last of her pride as a Noble and a Mage on this spell and she had to win. There were no ifs and or buts about it.

"My name is Louise Françoise 'le Blanc' de la Vallière. Pentagon of the Five Elemental Magics, Heed my summoning... and bring forth...my Familiar!"

As Saito appears and gets off the ground he tells her, "Hello again Louise you could have softened the area where you summoned me. She sort of blushes and tells him that she is sorry but she didn't know what to expect. Saito tells her that she did already summon him eight years ago, that she should be ready to use her void and wind magic to soften the blow, how is she not ready?

She blushes as someone says she can't use magic that is why she is called, Louise the Zero, she screams that she has only been having this problem for thirteen months.

"This is my familiar from eight years ago and he just confirmed it." Professor Colbert tells her that they need to do the bonding. She immediately grabbed him and kissed him on the lips. As the runes are being carved again into his flesh on his left hand. "It doesn't hurt as bad as last time."

She then whispers into his ear that there is a girl with black hair that was summoned earlier. She tried to warn them but they would not listen. "My sister went missing not that long ago through a summon portal, I don't like this, it seems my sister has been summoned here by someone against her will. This is no better than kidnapping, it will not go well for that person considering that this is considered an enslavement ritual, I can accept it due to the prophecy but my sister had nothing to do with the prophecy."

"Now, Now. Calm down there son." Saito turned his head to see a balding man wearing glasses walk over to him. He had a feeling of quiet authority about him. A teacher, if Saito had to guess.

"Calm down? my sister has been made into a gods-damned slave!" Saito growled, waving his branded hand at the man, "Would you be as calm in this situation? I think not."

The man regarded him solemnly for a moment. "This goes beyond pure personal outrage," he observed.

"Damn right it does!" Saito snapped back, "Where I come from, forcing a being to become your familiar is on the same level as enslavement! Anyone found guilty of such an offense is stripped of their magic!"

A unified gasp of horror came from the students surrounding him. These mages were unaccustomed to such a harsh punishment for anything, Saito noted.

"Where are you from anyway, commoner?" asked a tall busty redhead who strode over in a sultry fashion, making Saito's face light up with a blush... He willed his face back to its normal color as he replied.

"Japan. And what do you mean by a commoner?" he asked curiously.

"Ja-pan?" The redhead asked with a frown, "Never heard of it."

"And she means that you can't use magic." Added a blond girl with ringlets.

Saito raised an eyebrow and said, "who says I am?"

The mages froze at that question. "So…you ARE a noble?" asked the redhead.

Saito tells her, "Not only am I a noble, but I am a prince, and that girl sleeping on the ground is my sister and she is a princess of two countries. You have enslaved the crown prince and princess of Magical England and Magical Japan, this could be considered an act of war."

Colbert starts to think that he really should have listened to Louise when she tried to stop the bonding ritual from happening with that girl.

"Prove it!" challenged the redhead. Saito shrugged. "Sure. What do you want me to do?"

That stumped her for a moment before she smiled and whispered to Guiche, the boy smirked and nodded. Holding his rose out, he flicked it once and let a single petal fall to the ground.

With a white glow, a single figure appeared. It was green, vaguely feminine, and carried a spear. Saito begins to tell him to make a few more. Guiche thinking he is cocky creates two more.

"Destroy this Valkyrie and we'll believe that you are noble." The redhead smirked at her ploy.

"Cease this at once!" the teacher ordered. Saito raised a hand, drawing the attention of the teacher.

"If it's not a problem, I'd like to attempt this." Saito requested politely. Inside, he was irked. He recognized the redhead's actions as a form of bullying and didn't like it. She expected him to fail and would then proceed to hold it over him. To judge by the looks Louise was throwing at the redhead, there was no love lost between the two of them.

"I...But you don't even have a wand or stave!" the teacher protested.

"A wand? Stave?" Saito says that he indeed has one as he pulls it out, "But for this first demonstration I will not need it." Putting back into his inventory making it look like he put it back in his pocket, for the first demonstration he said he would use this. A small paper talisman.

"Parchment?" the teacher asked, confused.

"Talismans." Saito corrected, "I'm an Onmyōji, a mystic."

"A 'what' now?" Louise asked in confusion.

"Watch and learn." He replied with a grin.

The teacher sighed in resignation. "Very well. If you must do this, I suppose I will allow it."

Nobody noticed the slight glow around Saito's runes as they spoke.

He chivvied the students away from the target Valkyrie, not knowing anything about what type of magic the 'Onmyōji', as he called himself, would use.

Saito looked at the talisman he had drawn. A water talisman, good. He could show that redhead what for with this. He closed his eyes, extended the talisman in front of him, and channeled his magic into it, stopping when he had enough for the spell he had in mind.

"Talisman of Water, come to my aid!" Saito said clearly and unhurriedly. He threw the talisman into the air above him and made a hand sign.

"Shokan-Ju! Suiryū! (I summon you! Water Dragon!)" Saito called out.

With a roar, a serpentine dragon made entirely of water coalesced from the available water in the surrounding air, and appeared above Saito, making the watching student step back in astonishment. It was at least eighteen-feet long and moved in a distinctly snake-like manner.

Saito smirked and made another hand sign. "Suiryū Kōbaku! (Explosive Bite of the Water Dragon!)"

The dragon opened its mouth and spat a flurry of water balls at the Valkyrie, staggering the earth construct, but not destroying it. The dragon roared again and lunged at the golem, taking it in its vast maw and shredding it with sharp fangs and immense strength before dissipating with a final roar, dropping the shredded pieces of the Valkyrie to the ground.

He then told the boy to send the next one. He pulls out his wand, and he first used a banishing spell to send it into the air and then an explosion spell to cause the bronze little doll to explode into pieces that fell down on the ground.

Putting away his wand he pulled out a glove, put it on, and placed a pearl in one of the slots. He immediately saw the last bronze doll and he used the pearl to summon a beautiful construct that can talk, "Did you summon me, Saito?" Pearl asked him if she summoned her to which he looks at the beautiful construct and asked her, "I need to prove my power could you please destroy that Valkyrie over there, if you make it look really painful it would be greatly appreciated."

He turns to the boy and tells him he might want to make his little toy fight back. He of course insulted and tells his creation to fight with everything it has to destroy the commoner's creation. She turns around to face the boy, "How dare you to call the prince a commoner, and me a mere creation. I see now why the prince asked to make it hurt as much as possible. It will be as he commands."

One more thing pearl as he kissed her on the cheek, making her blush a little bit, "Thank you for being so loyal."

Pearl quickly summons her spear and she begins to fight the enemy telling it that it is not the way you use a spear, and saying to it, "Let me show you how you use a spear." She immediately decimates the entire thing making it look like it was nothing. Because to a battle-hardened warrior like her, it was nothing.

Pearl returned to Saito and after a hug, she disappeared. he placed the pearl and glove back into his inventory.

Louise walked over to him in a daze. "What was that?" she asked in awe.

"My magic," Saito said simply.
