Digimon Adventure 03: Magic, Mutation, and Beyond
Sorry for the long absence from this story. Writers block sucks. But I'm back with several new ideas and concepts. That being said, here we go.

Chapter 18: Arc 2 Chapter 5, Heroes, Darkness, and Armor:
It had been two weeks since Demiyah called the next generation of Ronins together. Something was making her twitchy. That was what everyone was noting especially the kids. She was realy jittery too. Someone in the Virtue Digidestined joked she drank too much coffee. Demiyah openly didn't claim they were friends, but she admitted they were co-workers which was a start with the Inoue fiasco. Kimberly often gave her something that Laureli said felt off. Though it looked like normal food. Kimberly said it was vital to Demiyah's medical needs and if she didn't eat enough, she could get sick. So they brushed it off thinking it could be a Lunarian quirk to her Human DNA. After all Pidge and Laureli had similar conditions.
Demiyah was in her workshop which meant she was left alone. She was sipping a drink while eating some chips. However, if one were to look at the labels, they would realize the labels read manufactured in Toontown. She was looking over a case file that she had been emailed. It listed Toons who were missing. Though there were signs of a struggle but no traces of Dip or No-Sellexium were found. The Toon CSI units were freaking out. But then Demiyah remembered the artificial Toon hybrid Thaddeus Plotz. The greedy money grubbing former CEO of Warner Brothers studio. Nora was a proper hybrid like Demiyah only Nora had a greatgrandparent who was a Toon rather than go through the Adoption Ritual like Demiyah did when she was five. One thing to note was the Warner Siblings were on the list. Yakko, Wakko, and Dot were some of the Strongest Toons barring Bugs Bunny, the Looney Toons, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, and the Sensational Six. Demiyah heard the house phone ring and closed her files throwing her garbage away before heading upstairs.
Oliver residence, Demiyah speaking how may I help you?
Demiyah, it's Tenya. I'm calling to let you know our families will be at UA this afternoon so you can meet them properly. We just informed them we were called by Wildfire.
Oh thank you for informing me. I have a meeting first then I can come to UA. Did you inform the Principal?
Indeed I did. I have a guest pass for you. Call me on your mobile when you are in Mustafu City.

Demiyah rode off on her bike to the Council chambers at Silver Guardians Academy. She was pulling into her marked spot on the Education Track parking when she sees a face she hadn't seen since she was eleven. "What do you want Caroline? I'm very busy." Caroline said, "What I want is for you to quit being so damn rebellious and obey what I say!" Demiyah said, "You are not my mother Caroline. You aren't even legally my grandmother as you disowned my mother and myself. Plus you were issued a no contact and permenant restraining order which was filed internantionally. Your purposefully breaking it." Caroline snarled, "So what? I'm an adult and a goody goody child like you should obey adults." Demiyah stalked into the building muttering under her breath. Caroline was still screaming at her the entire time.
In the Council Chambers, Demiyah paid strict attention to the meeting commenting on things she knew more about than the other members. Giving her status reports and mentioning Caroline was on the campus. One of the members who was the representative for the Kamen Rider Brigade asked, "Seriously? I thought she gave up that ridiculous plot when you were eleven?" Demiyah said, "Apparently not. Especially now that the Avengers exposed Fury and most of his supporters including the so called WSC. Turns out the WSC were middle men for Diomedes. We already knew Caroline worked for Diomedes. We've known that for eight years nearly nine!" The Mystic Realm representative asked, "What's her goal? Long term I mean."
Demiyah said, "She wants to control me. A lot of power both Physical and Supernatural, Political Connections, Wealth, Fame, you name it. She realized if she controls me, she controls my life, my fortune, everything. So she made some unsavory deals including getting the technology to create electroshock mind control devices. She openly admitted she couldn't stand the fact I was in her words 'more exotically beautiful' than her. So she had tried to force me for years to get braces even attempting a messed up ritual to get her way. It didn't work none of her attempts did. Though she got really desperate when I was ten."
The representative for the Toons asked concerned, "What did she do to you?" Demiyah replied, "Caroline held me captive for five months. She starved me aside from enough to keep me alive. All while using puppeting spells to force my body to work itself to the bone. But she wanted the perfect obedient little drone for agranddaughter. When I turned out to be nothing like that she resulted to magic. She tried every Mind Control, compulsion, or slave binding spell she knew, but my magic was too strong. Then feeling desperate she called for Luxu that bastard. Before he could cast a spell, I hit him with fire magic burning his hands. He tried to force me to obey orders, but what none of them realized, because I was constantly being hit with some powerful and heavy spells, my magic created a sort of special barrier around my mind to break those sort of control methods." Carlos asked in shock, "So your resistance to mind control of all kinds?"
Demiyah nodded, "It was because of what happened. Though she got fed up with how I would shrug off the spells and went with one she rarely did. She hit me with a spell that caused me serious pain. She told me, 'All you have to do is consent to the braces and I promise the pain will stop.' She was that desperate." A Legendary Pokemon, Gritina in a human form asked, "You didn't agree to that did you?" Demiyah said, "She made it to where only those she trusted knew where we were. She also confiscated my communicators and put them in a tracking proof barrier. The pain was unbearable. But she forgot about one thing. Optimus and Spark could find me no matter where. So the Rangers got my starter to track me down and he in turn told them where to go. It was a warehouse that had been converted into a base for Caroline's group. She had an orthodontist in her numbers even stealing the equipment he needed. But I will admit, I was getting overwhelmed by the pain. If the Rangers hadn't arrived when they did, I would have consented to stop it. It was spell that turned my own empathy against me. The pain the spell would cause would be magnified fifty fold if not more." The enture Council shuddered including the SPD Officers. Charlie her godsister said, "If she's still out there I'm arresting her. And putting her in a confinement card so she can't escape." Demiyah looked at her godsister and said hoenstly, "Thank you so much. She's caused too much trouble. Especially for Pierre and my mother. They didn't deserve how she treated them."
The rest of the meeting passed quickly. Demiyah left the building when Caroline marched right up to her and said, "You are coming with me right now young lady!" She threw a mind control spell at her which Demiyah shrugged off, riding away. She said over her shoulder, "Look behind you! Oh and enjoy prison!" Caroline looked behind her and saw a laser which trapped her in a confinemnt card pissing her off.
Demiyah rode to the train station while meeting the others. Lance asked, "What kept you?" Demiyah said, "Meeting ran a little long. Not to mention Caroline showed up." Everyone winced knowing what happened. Even Kari was shocked once Kimberly and Tommy sat her down explaining. The Digidestined of Light broke down sobbing when she finished hearing Demiyah's story. Kari squeezed Demiyah's hand and said, "I don't care if I am the Digidestined of Light, if she finds a way out of that containment card, I'll kill her for what she did to you. Both you and Pierre. He was a victim of hers just like you are. What happened to him?" Demiyah said, "I'll tell you guys later. I'm just greatful we get a four day weekend due to the system matinence days today and tomorrow. I got a specialized case emailed to me from an off World outpost. It involves someone who is suspected of being in Diomedes' Inner Circle." That got James to ask, "Who is it? Could we do anything to help?" Demiyah said, "The one who sent the file is waiting for some legal things to clear. That won't happen until tomorrow at the latest. It would have been today, but there was a complication with a security measure." Keith nodded in understanding as everyone agreed to wait.
Arriving in Mustafu was easy. Getting to UA not so much. Demiyah when they finally arrived sat down of the couch in the Class 1-A dorm. "Tenya, my day has been insane and this by my standards!" Denki commented, "Considering the insanity you live with day in and day out, that's saying something." Jiro asked, "Who's this?" Izuku said, "This is Demiyah Oliver. She's the Wildfire Armor bearer for our generation. With her are her teammates, trainees, uncle, and boyfriend." The students all share greetings as Ochako looks at her in confusion. "I hate to be rude but are you related to Natsumi Shirogane?" Shiro said, "She's my sister and Demiyah's birth mother. Any particular reason?" Ochako said, "The head of the family since Aunt Natsumi's death has been dangling the fact they could cast me out if I didn't listen to them." Demiyah said, "I don't know who's doing it, but technically the headship should have gone to Uncle Shiro until I was old enough to inherit! So I have to meet this person. What did they tell you to do?" Ochako said with tears in her eyes, "They told me to give up training to become a Hero employed by the new Commission. To come to the estate and be married off to some guy I've never met. And they told me I had to have my memories wiped of my friends." Demiyah asked in a deceptively sweet voice, "Do have the number for this person? We need to have a little chat." Nezu said, "You are more than welcome to have this chat here at UA." Nezu was a firm ally of the Power Rangers. Not that anyone aside from the Ronins in the student body knew that. He also was working to find out who the traitor was so they could track All for One so Demiyah could end his vicious perversion of an ancient cycle for good.
A pair of men entered the 1-A dorm while Ochako's parents were glaring at them. The man said, "For those who are not aware I am Shirogane Motoki. Head of the Shirogane family. This is Masaru Kurotame. He's is being betrothed to Ochako. Go pack now brat. Unless you wish to be cast out." Demiyah said, "Two problems with that buddy. One legally, the position of Head Regent goes to Takashi Shirogane. Two, the heir of the family is me. Oh and as third point, I checked you out on my microcomputer. You illegally claimed headship. So the betrothal is null in void." Masaru said, "And who is frumpy nobody who dares lie?" Demiyah revealed her hood making both men freak out. "I thought you said she was dead and Kasai was trapped in a permenant coma! Michiko swore that he wouldn't wake up because his True Love was dead." Demiyah tied Masaru up with chains made of magic and held Motoki at Sword of Darkness point. Her eyes were Dark Pink and slitted almost like a reptile's eyes. A terrifying aura was around making everyone aside from Denki and Hunk back. Denki and Hunk had been so used to seeing her in this state it didn't even phase them anymore. "What is he talking about Motoki? Answer me!" Motoki shaking replied, "I arranged for Natsumi to be killed by means of experimentation after she survived Coutdown. Kasai survived too. But his mother Michiko was furious due to the fact she intended to raise her granddaughter as she saw fit. Only for her spell to burn the paperwork beyond recognition. And since her surname was different due to legal reasons she had no proof to get his daughter. So she had been shipped to a children's shelter. By the time she got enough proof, her file was sealed and she had been adopted." Denki's eyes which were glowing green looked directly at him, "Who was the person given Natsumi?" Motoki said, "Kurata. Akihiro Kurata. But he uses an alias. It's not his real name!" Demiyah and Denki demanded, "What's his actual name?" Motoki said, "Albert McKnight! It's Albert McKnight!" Denki was horrified and called the Rangers. As Demiyah demanded, "And what about Kasai, where is he?" Motoki said, "I don't know! Michiko never told me!" The officers arrived as Demiyah said, "They sold my birth mother to Albert McKnight all in attempt Line Theft. Please see to them. As I have other business to attend to. Apologies everyone. You went through all of this for me and mine. I sincerly apologize for what transpired." Demiyah bowed as Momo said, "You had no control of what transpired. I of all people understand being of aristocratic birth."
An explosion sounded making Demiyah groan. "What is it with today? If it's not one thing it's another!" All for One and his League attaacked. Prompting Demiyah to directly attack. Inoue then revealed herself not one minute later. Demiyah lashed out at her grabbing a strange device off of Inoue's wrist. Furious she knew she had no choice but to retreat but not before she threw a glass sphere and left. However it was who was in her place that made things worrisome. It was Nana Shimura.
Nana was at her peak while All Might decidedly wasn't Izuku wasn't fully trained to master his Quirk. Keith did his best where he could with Shiro helping out too. But even still, it was someone who had several decades of experience. Then Demiyah reluctantly as the look on her face clearly showed it, summoned a Keyblade. But it wasn't a Keyblade that most recognized. Two of Demiyah's team recognized it. They were stunned silent. The Keyblade that Demiyah had summoned was Starlight. Vanitas shared a look with Ventus who looked like he saw a ghost. Which if his theory was right in a way he did. With the added strength of the veteran Keyblade Wielder they were able to defeat Nana who smiled and was turned into a golden coin. A familiar feeling over it. Demiyah smiled and shared a look with Denki and Hunk who could tell what the coin was. All for One attacked her thinking she had a powerful Quirk. She lashed out with her magic and ended up killing hiim by dint of forcing every Quirk he had ever stolen out of his body. He aged rapidly dying. A blood Red Light emerging from his body and flying to Demiyah who assumed her winged princess form light glowing around her. She let her light flood the blood red light before it turned a soft sunset red color flying into the sky. All Might felt like he was back to his peak with One for All.
In a private meeting, Demiyah explained about how One for All and All for One came to be and what their purpose was. How All for One perverted the power and cursed One for All users. Each user is born with a Quirk that perfectly would shape the power. Then the current user is drawn somehow to the next destined user. Their DNA is then used to 'jumpstart' the power. But then All for One inherited the power that was supposed to be the World's protection against hard to control abilities while One for All was meant to fight for the people. The proper titles for the powers was, All the World's Wishes Shielded by One, for All for One. While the proper title of One for All was ,One Being to Defend All the World's Hopes. It was a cycle and All for One perverted it which is why the previous users lost the power each generation. Now the cycle would start a new. Demiyah advised Izuku to go easy on the next holder of All for One and to teach them the proper history. To help this she left the books she brought with her since she could sense the power inside Izuku.
A tearful Aoyama later on explained he was the traitor as well as why and Demiyah said, "Since All for One is gone his connection to you is broken. My magic made sure of that. I'm not saying your a bad person Yuga and I'm not calling your parents that either. If anything I applaud them in supporting you in your dreams even if it was in an unorthodox way. However, I'm suggesting you transfer to Silver Guardians Academy in their Hero Education Track. It's the track me and my team are on. My trainees are too young to be in an Education Track. But the reason I'm recomending this, is so you can get the psychological help you need. This way you can heal emotionally and mentally from what I can only assume is a form of third party abuse. Your parents may have not abused /you but they were privy to the treatment he gave you so they aren't completely innocent of this treatment either. Logically speaking, do you have any family you can stay with?" Yuga said, "My cousin's Nene and Ewan who live in Shinonome." Demiyah said, "I know them from my brother Mikey Kudo." Yuga said, "Why do you and Mikey have different last names if your siblings?" Demiyah said, "What happened was Ryder and I were supposed to be part of Quadruplet set. Instead, something happened and Mikey and Terrick were born five weeks early while Ryder and I came on time. Mikey was named Micheal by our parents. When the disaster known as Countdown happened, Micheal and Terrick were sent to Japan because the ammount of Orphans caused a huge bureaucratic nightmare. Micheal ended up getting adopted by the Kudo's and became Mikey. Terrick was adopted by the Matsuki's becoming Takato." Connor said, "So that's why you two just clicked so easily." Demiyah laughed, "Yep, we knew we were related for a while now. We also traded War Stories from our Digital World Adventures." Jake said, "But you've only had two. With Blaze, Hoshi, and Ken three years ago and this one."
Demiyah and Ken shared a look before busting a gut laughing. Sobering up after a few minutes Demiya said, "Sorry baby bro, I actually had one three years prior to the Armor Digivolution adventure. When I was nine so shortly after my birthday and after I defeated Chaos I became part Ryo Akiyama's team that fought Milllenniummon which included Ryo, myself, Ken, Sam who is Ken's older brother whom is presumed dead but his Impmon is alive proving he is as well, Yutaka Himi who is Tommy Himi's big brother, Momo Inoue, Mikey which was how we found each other, Willis Stuart, and Denki. Millenniummon turned out to be a forced fusion of Ryo's first partner Agumon who was Dark Digivolved into Machinedramon and a Kimeramon." Bakugo asked, "I've heard of a guy by the name of Gennai who advised Taichi's team and a bit for yours. What happened to him?" Ken sighed, "Truth be told, he was never on our side. He was and still is working for Diomedes. He spied on us looking for weaknesses and holes in the protective mental barriers that a Digivice grants it's owner. Inoue was his partner in crime. Rayeanne we only recently found out was bespelled in both this lifetime and her last by Luna. Seems she wanted control of Sailor Mars. Rayeanne in her past life asked Guardian Mars to pick Natalie who was Namine's past self as Sailor Mars. Simply because Rayeanne knew Natalie could access parts of the Mars Power that she couldn't and felt she was the better choice for the position."
Demiyah after answering other questions was now back home lounging on her bed. She had her pink electric guitar strumming along to a Jagged Stone CD when her phone went off.

Hi Miya, it's Cal. How are things back at SGA? Principal Oswald said, your more than welcome to transfer back if you want.
Hey there Cal. Yeah I will admit it's been a long time since we hung out. But I have to stick to Silver Guardians Academy. It's the right choice.
Do you mean in general or for yourself personally?
Look Cal, your one of my best friends and I get your worried about me. But this is for the best.
Demiyah your practically my sister. I love you like I love my brother Terrance, my parents, and my Uncle Wile. Why are you so willing to give up anything and I do mean anything that makes you happy? I'd be willing to bet money that you haven't touched Lyria's Miraculous since your tenth birthday. Demiyah it isn't selfish to do something for yourself once in a while. You know part of your genetics are from this side of the Dimensional Barriers. Yes, you'd be going to a different school than the rest of your team. But doesn't the fact you wouldn't be as sleepy or groggy in the mornings outweigh the negatives? You still spend plenty of time with your friends, family, and boyfriend.
Okay, you've made your point Cal. I won't say yes or no right away. I will finish out the school year and I will think about it. The reason being is I have some loose ends to tie up. Then maybe once those are taken care of, I can rejoin TPA. Tell your Uncle I'll be in town tomorrow or Saturday with my team to deal with the case. Legal stuff, you get the idea.
I get it. Your busy with you saving the Universe right now. But don't think I won't come visit from time to time. And I will bring care packages from your friends and family on this side.

Greg overheard Demiyah's side of the conversation. And was seriously confused about what he had heard. Talking to Amaya, Laureli, and Jake proved they were just as lost as he was. Greg did wonder what Demiyah was keeping from them. She said it was legal stuff that head to be worked out before she could tell them. He could understand that. Secrecy Contracts among the Ranger Alliance were pretty common. Especially if they had a representative on the Council.
