AN - This is a bit of a crossbreed between the movies and the Cartoon X-Men Evolution, so has different parts of both... Enjoy!
The sun shone down on the hot ground in Kenya her hometown where her Mother was from, there'd been some commotion about a special forces team to deal with a radical group that had been making trouble around there. She'd seen them a few times and she knew that they were no good. There was the sound of an engine and wheels that approached quickly. She moved to hide behind a building just in case they might be looking for her as well, as she was being hunted in Cairo by the same gang of bandits who they were on the trail of.
They had killed a few men in search of a relic, and when she found their hideout and stole some of their supplies that she needed, that made them really hunt her down. They almost killed her a couple times but each time she'd escaped somehow, once they surrounded her and she had no escape. One of the men pointed their gun at her, she tried to block the bullet with her arms so maybe she'd survive, even if she was wounded, but… oh yeah, the other men, she was sure she wasn't going to make it out of that one. But then suddenly something happened, it was like they all became terrified of something, all she knew is they couldn't take their eyes off of whatever was above her, she took that opportunity and bolted away from them, from there, even Africa if she needed to, but for now it seemed like her ancestral home was probably far enough, so making sure to leave no trace of herself she hitchhiked a thousand miles, walked about twenty-five, then some nice people gave her a ride the rest of the way for seemingly no reason except pure and simple kindness.
So anyway, there she was watching these men in their vehicle. The murmurings around her were many and ranging from loud to soft. Suddenly the door opened, a man stepped out wearing what she could swear was a beret on his head and strange looking waders along with a neat looking vest and sunglasses. After he was out the others followed, one was a tall very muscular looking man with reddish hair, then came a different looking man who was much shorter than the other, granted the other man was a good seven feet tall, this man had black hair and was also very muscular. The other men came out after them which she noticed, but it's hard for some to not be awestruck in the presence of a human giant, everyone was staring at him, till he smiled proud of the welcoming party, they stepped back as the Huge almost lion of a man revealed his razor-sharp teeth. His attention was pulled off of the onlookers by the other man beside him who'd elbowed him, the men walked off to a building nearby.
