Part 5 of the Salutations Series. It takes place a little over a week after Buffy left for California. Buffy & Giles are each sent to Paris on separate matters for their jobs. Despite their difficulties, she reaches out and he asks her to accompany him to the conference he is speaking at. The situation is delicate and Giles is determined to convince Buffy of his sincerity.

Buffy's been dreaming about Spike. A lot. And as the dreams get more frequent, and more real, so does the unexplainable connection she's been feeling with the bleached vampire. Spike's noticed that there's something a little off with the Slayer...but maybe something's a little off with him, too.
