Beck: Survival of the Hottest
Never in his life had Beck been so happy to see Cat and he was sure that everyone felt the same way. Immediately Andre and him opened the cooler and gave everyone something to drink. When he had made sure that Jade got a bottle of water, he drank as well and they finally went to the beach. They had lost almost the whole day due to being stuck in his RV, so when Andre suggested that they should just sleep in the RV so in the morning they could have a whole beach day, everyone agreed. Just to be sure that they wouldn't get stuck again, they moved the RV so it didn't stood next to a parking space so no one would block the door again.
Jade immediately told everyone that Beck and her would take the bed and no one dared to argue with her. She was alright with Cat sleeping at the foot of the bed, almost curled up in a ball like a real cat. Beck had to smile at that. Jade trusted Cat and she knew that he thought of her best friend as a little sister so she was alright with her so close to them. If it had been one of the Vega sisters however he was sure that she would have kicked them out without a second of hesitation. Andre and Robbie left Trina and Tori the couch while they slept on airbeds on the ground.
They each changed and got ready separately. Beck didn't pay much attention to what everyone was wearing, but when Jade walked over to him in only one of his shirts, which looked more like a dress on her, he smiled. When she spent the night with him, she normally wore that and he couldn't deny that he liked seeing her like this very much, but what he didn't like was when Andre and Robbie looked at Jade's long pale legs a little too long for his liking. Sure, he couldn't blame them, Jade was gorgeous and they were guys after all, but she was his girlfriend and they just weren't allowed to look at her like that. Jade didn't seem to notice the looks that they gave her and just went over to the bed and lay down next to him. Just to make sure his friends remembered that Jade was off limits, Beck pulled her to his chest and kissed her softly. When he pulled away and looked over at Andre and Robbie they had averted their eyes shamefully, probably only now realizing they had stared at his girlfriend.
Sighing he turned back to Jade, only to find her raising an eyebrow at him. He leaned down and gave her another kiss to reassure her that everything was alright. She seemed to let it slide for the moment and just lay her head on his chest and closed her eyes. When everyone was ready to sleep Beck turned off the lights. He softly told Jade that he loved her like he always did before they fell asleep and closed his eyes, content to have her in his arms.
A few hours later he woke up to find Jade's side of the bed empty and he immediately stood up to search for her. It was good that he knew his RV well enough to find his way outside without any light. He spotted Jade sitting on the truck bed of his father's pick-up truck, looking over to the wide ocean.
"Hey, what are you doing outside?" He asked her softly and lay an arm around her when he sat down next to her. She was still only wearing his shirt and despite that it didn't get cold at night the wind was still chilly, so he pulled her closer to himself.
"There are just too many people in our home so I had to get out." A second after she had said that he felt her tense under his arms, probably realizing what she had revealed. "I mean, I don't like the Vegas with all their Vega germs being in your RV."
He could hear that she tried to emphasize the word 'your', but now he knew better, she considered the RV their home and it made him happy to hear her say those words. It was true, on weekends they practically lived together in the RV and during the week they were hardly apart, but it made him ridiculous happy to hear her say it.
"Tomorrow when we're back I'll make sure that Consuela cleans our home from these Vega germs."
The honest smile that she gave him for his words and the loving kiss that followed, told him that she understood that he too considered the RV their home until they could really move in together. Later in life when they were successful directors or actors he wanted them to have a big beautiful house which they could call their own, but for now his RV was the best home they could wish for.
Jade: Survival of the Hottest
After Beck and her had talked under the stars for a few more minutes they went back to his RV and Jade finally found sleep in his arms. It didn't surprised her that everyone seemed to be already up when she opened her eyes the next morning, she was a heavy sleeper after all. If it hadn't been for the smell of the coffee that Beck was making at the moment she surely would have slept even longer. Jade wasn't a morning person and before her first coffee speaking to her was a bad idea, so she was glad when Beck brought her the coffee to their bed. When he sat down next to her and lay an arm around her while she drank her coffee she felt at peace.
However the silence didn't last long when Trina and Tori reentered the RV, probably back from getting them breakfast, arguing about something. So much for a peaceful morning with her boyfriend. Deciding to get away from the loud Vega sisters as fast as possible, she took a few of her clothes out of her side of Beck's wardrobe and went to get ready. When she came back whatever the problem between Trina and Tori had been was solved and the group decided to go immediately to the beach to spend all day there. Jade didn't like to go in the ocean because of something that had happened to her in third grade, but she enjoyed the beach and looking out on the ocean. The endless blue might frighten some people, but she found the sound of the waves crashing against the shore and the deep blue relaxing. As long as she didn't have to go into the water she could enjoy a beach day.
After a while the guys went closer to the ocean to play volleyball. Jade was content to half watch them and half listen to what was Cat telling her about her adventures yesterday while the rest of them had been stuck in the RV. Tori, who lay on the other side of Cat, was listening as well while Trina was searching for some beach hotties, Trina's words not hers. Jade found herself enjoying the peace until she saw three girls approach their guys. One girl seemed to be interested in Andre while the other two of course had to flock to Beck. Normally she would go over there and tell those girls that Beck was her boyfriend and that they should go away if they knew what was good for them, but right now she felt too relax to do anything about it. If the girls would try anything she could always go over and cut their hairs with her scissors.
Jade's focus was brought away from her boyfriend by three guys approaching them. Cat seemed to know them because she stood up and hugged each one of them. She introduced them to her and Tori and they found out that these were the same guys who Cat had spent her day with yesterday while they had been stuck in the RV. Her best friend seemed to like them a lot and if they wouldn't annoy her too much Jade was willing to let them stay for Cat's sake. From the corner of her eyes she saw that Beck was looking at them and especially at the guy that now sat next to Jade. It was hard to get Beck jealous, but Jade smirked at the thought that she might succeed without even having to try. She was simply talking to the guy next to her when she saw Beck approaching them, the girls who he had been talking to were long forgotten. He immediately made his way over to her and spoke up.
"Hey babe, why don't we take a walk and I buy you some coffee."
Most people wouldn't like coffee while they were at the beach, but Jade was different. She loved coffee no matter the place or time and Beck obviously knew that.
"Nah I think I'm quite comfortable where I am, but you can buy me some coffee and I'll wait here for you." She smirked slightly, not making it easy for him, but he knew her too well and just sat down next to her while laying an arm around her.
"I'll just stay here as well. Let's just get you that coffee later." Then he turned to the guy next to Jade. "Hey, I'm Beck and you are?"
When Beck got jealous he was more subtle about it than she was, but Jade enjoyed it all the same. The three guys were alright and even though Beck didn't seemed too fond of them, they stayed with them for the whole day. Later when they drove home, she obviously riding with Beck in the truck, she had to admit that she had fun at the beach.
"You know the weekend wasn't horrible." She said after a while. Beck smiled at her and took one of her hands in his and placed their joined hands on the gearshift. He knew that her words meant that she had a good time. "Oh and Consuela better clean the RV the moment we arrive." She added as an afterthought before leaning her head against his shoulder.
