Jade: Cat's New Boyfriend

When they first met Daniel, Jade found it more than amusing. Everything that made Tori uncomfortable was fun for her, so that Cat was dating Tori's ex-boyfriend was great in her eyes. However that completely changed when Daniel and Tori hurt her best friend with their behavior.

It all began on a normal school day when Daniel came to Hollywood Arts for the first time. Jade loved making the whole situation awkward for Tori and continued it for the next few days. When it was time for the Kickback, Jade's opinion on the matter changed. She was feeling Andre's feet with Beck when Cat came running to her crying with Tori and Daniel closely behind her. Tearfully Cat told her that Tori had kissed her boyfriend and Jade got angry. Seeing her best friend like this and the unbidden images of Tori and Beck kissing made her snap. While she gestured for Beck to take care of Cat, she stepped closer to the ex-couple. First she turned to Daniel.

"Go. Now." Her tone was harsh and loud, with only barely suppressed anger. Cat deserved someone better than such an idiot. Daniel looked visibly frightened by her and with one last look at Tori and Cat left.

"You." She turned to Tori, her voice a little bit calmer than before. "Leave Cat alone for now. You have done enough."

When Tori looked guiltily at the ground Jade knew that she was really sorry, but that didn't change what had happened. Even after Jade's not so friendly suggestion Tori still hesitant to leave, but when Andre told her that he would drive her home, she went with him. A small crowd was surrounding them by now. They were probably excited to see what happened after the cheese accident. After a threatening look from Jade the crowd turned around and minded their own business. Cat was still upset, so Jade asked Beck to take them home.

At Cat's house Jade told Beck that she would stay with her best friend to make sure that she was alright. Beck nodded in understanding and Jade gave him only a small goodbye kiss. She didn't want for Cat to feel even worse at their display of affection when her boyfriend just minutes ago had kissed another girl.

After that Jade spent the whole weekend with Cat. She even watched these awful movies about a unicorn with her. Well she mostly texted Beck during the movie, but she still sat next to Cat and listened to the awful dialogues as background noises so it counted as watching it with her.

Jade just couldn't help commenting when Tori asked them oh so innocently why Cat wasn't answering her phone. That was the only thing she said to Tori about the matter, because even though she would just love to give her a piece of her mind about what had happened, this was between Tori and Cat. After she had said that, she felt Beck's eyes on her and when she met his eyes she saw that he was looking apologizing at her. The whole situation was a reminder of the kiss between Tori and Beck, but she had forgiven him but she couldn't forget it.

When they had tried the fishes out Beck invited her to get a coffee before she would go back to Cat's house. The two talked a little and Beck told her what Andre had told him about Tori's behavior on the way home when he had driven her. Apparently she was really sorry about the accident and wanted to apologize honestly.

"Cat can be happy to have a best friend like you." Beck told her when they arrived at Cat's house. "And I can be happy to have you as my girlfriend. I love you, Jade."

Jade got never tired of hearing these three meaningful words from him and she knew why he was choosing now to tell her again. The situation reminded him of how much he had hurt her by kissing Tori and he wanted to make sure that she knew that he only loved her. Smiling at him, she gave him a longer kiss this time before she got out of the car and rang the doorbell at Cat's house. Her best friend opened the door, looking already a little bit better. Spending the rest of her weekend with movies about unicorns and other disgustingly cute animals helped Cat and Jade thought that this was all that mattered. Not only Cat could be happy to have her as a best friend, but she was thankful as well, because Cat would have done the same thing for her.

Beck: Cat's New Boyfriend

Beck thought that the whole drama about Daniel was crazy, but that they needed medical help because of some fishes was even more crazy. It all began with him and Jade going to the Kickback. He always enjoyed this monthly tradition with his girlfriend and as long as you didn't eat the sausages Sikowitz made everything was always great. This evening however would be a little different than it normally was. First there was the whole Daniel problem between Tori, Cat and of course Daniel, but Beck wanted to stay out of it. Then there was Andre having such soft feet and him and Jade agreeing to try out the Pooka fishes.

The next day he picked Jade up from Cat's house. His girlfriend had spent the night there to help her best friend come to terms with the kiss between Tori and Daniel. Beck hadn't said anything against Jade's way of handleíng the situation because he agreed with her. He knew that Jade cared deeply for Cat and would find a good way to help her over the whole thing. The situation reminded him slightly of the one with Tori and him a few weeks ago. He knew that Jade thought the same thing when she made that comment towards Tori at her house before they tried the fishes. Even though he knew that she had forgiven him for it, it was obvious that it still bothered her. Tori doing that to Cat didn't help Tori's case either.

During the weekend he hardly got to see Jade, because she was spending almost all of her time with Cat. If he would tell people at Hollywood Arts that his girlfriend was so caring no one would believe him, but people who were important to her got a special treatment. On Monday morning he felt his head burn up, but he still went to school, only to find the rest of their friends and his girlfriend being ill as well. They all decided to see a doctor about it and found Trina already there with similar symptoms. Who would have thought that a few small fishes could do such damage?

Later when Cat and Tori arrived, Cat offered to drive the Vega sisters, Robbie and Andre home. Beck told her that his parents were coming to get him and Jade because he didn't feel good enough to drive. However he knew that his parents were reluctant to pick Jade up as well. They had never been big fans of Jade and since the Rottweiler accident his father was even more against her. His parents protest when Beck told them that Jade would stay with him as long as she was feeling so awful and that they had to take care of them both. When he had said to Jade that he wanted her to stay with him, she had told him that she would be alright on her own. Normally her mom would take care of her, but she was out of town for a week because she had a meeting, so she and her brother had to stay with their father. Beck knew that Jade's brother would try his best to take care of her, but Beck would feel better if it was him who could keep an eye on her. Knowing Jade, Beck was sure that she wouldn't want to be a burden to her brother and probably tell him that she was alright by herself even if she wasn't.

After a long discussion Jade agreed to stay with him, but his parents didn't seem to give in. When they arrived at the Olivers household, Beck guided Jade, who was feeling worse by the minute, to his RV and made sure that she was comfortable on his bed before he lay down next to her. The doctors had only given them a shot and had told them that their immune system would take care of the toxin on its own in a few days. They just lay there when after a few minutes Mrs. Oliver entered his RV with an ice pack for his fever. She didn't have a second one, so they were really serious when they had told him that they wouldn't take care of his girlfriend. Let them be that way, then he would just make sure himself that Jade got the best treatment she could get. Without hesitation he softly lay the ice pack on Jade's forehead and she gave him a weak smile. He did the same thing when his father brought only him a soup.

In the matter of only a few hours the Olivers were forced to change their mind about not taking care of Jade, because their son refused any treatment as long as Jade wouldn't receive the same one. In the evening they both had received the best medical attention they could get and lay snuggled up under a warm blanket in Beck's bed. They were talking quietly when suddenly Jade smirked.

"You know what? I'm really proud of Cat for hitting Vega."

"Of course you are." Beck laughed and gave his girlfriend a small kiss.
