Beck: Rex Dies

Most people weren't aware that Jade cared about her friends. On the outside she might come off as mean and uncaring, but Beck knew better. The situation with Rex just proved that. Jade's solution for the problem with Rex might sound harsh, but in the end she wanted the best for Robbie. Despite that Jade kept saying that she only tolerated Robbie, Beck knew that in her own way his girlfriend saw Robbie as a friend.

After all the trouble they went through Tori decided against their plan and let Rex live. When Robbie was happy again because Rex was alright, everyone decided to go to a small pizzeria to celebrate the successful play and of course that Rex was back to normal, but Cat was still missing. It didn't surprise Beck when Jade offered to search for her and told them to go ahead. She demanded that he gave her his car keys so she could drive herself and Cat to the restaurant when she had found her best friend. Without discussion he handled her the keys and walked with the others to Andre's car.

More than an hour went by without Jade or Cat showing up and slowly Beck began to worry. He knew that Jade was a good driver even if Cat would probably annoy her all the way there, but what could have happened that made them take so long? Looking on his phone for what felt like the hundredth time, he still had no text from his girlfriend. If something happened to Cat, he knew that Jade wouldn't leave Cat's side, so could that be it? This was the caring side of Jade that only a few people were able to see and she rarely allowed anyone to see her like this.

The moment Cat and Jade finally entered the pizzeria relief flowed his heart and when she sat down next to him, he immediately lay an arm around her and kissed her forehead. She looked absolutely exhausted and a bit annoyed, but when he pulled her closer to rest comfortable against him, he felt her relax. They both had this effect on each other. Not only was he able to calm her down, but with her in his arms he felt at peace as well. Sure, he was rarely angry or restless, but that was thanks to Jade's temper that already displayed all the feelings he might have.

To everyone else he always seemed like the cool collected guy, but there had been situations in which Jade had needed to calm him down. When it came to his friends and someone insulting or hurting them he was quick to get angry and especially if someone was disrespectful to Jade. When Jade had begun to dye parts of her hair and had gotten her piercings people at Hollywood Arts had started talking bad about her. Jade always told him that she didn't care and he knew that she meant it, but he couldn't accept it. He wanted everyone to see the amazing girl Jade was. When he had heard a few guys talking disrespectful about her his normal cool facade had cracked and he had found himself insulting the guys right back. If it hadn't been for Jade holding him back, these guys might have walked away with black eyes.

Thankfully everything was alright now and he had Jade in his arms. While Jade and Cat were ordering their food the group began taking about what happened today. Normal days at Hollywood Arts were rare, but Beck thought to himself that he was content how it was.

Jade: Rex Dies

After an hour of discussions Jade finally managed to convince the doctors that everything was alright with Cat. Still a little skeptical they let her best friend go with her. Jade sighed in relief when they were in Beck's car. Thankful they were finally away from the strange situations that had happened today. All she wanted to do now was eat something and then get back to Beck's RV and fall asleep.

"Do you think I'm weird?" Cat's voice pulled Jade out of her thoughts.

Jade was glad that she hadn't started driving yet because she couldn't keep her head from snapping in Cat's direction. Her best friend's eyes were averted and the normally so happy girl looked sad. It seemed that only now she realized what the other people must have thought about her and was clearly upset by it. Jade couldn't see her best friend like this, so she lay a hand on her shoulder and waited until Cat looked up at her.

"You're special and that's a good thing."

It was true, Cat might be a little weird at times, but Jade couldn't wish for a better best friend. After she had been so upset about Beck agreeing with Andre that she was a gank, Cat had been there for her in her own way and Jade was still thankful for that. They might be strange best friends, but it worked perfectly. Just like her, Cat had more sides to her than what people assumed. After Beck had apologized to Jade and they had worked things out, Cat had still been skeptically and made Beck promise to never hurt her again. If Cat wanted she could be demanding and she was just as caring when it came to her friends as she was. That was their biggest similarity.

At Jade's words Cat smiled again and Jade squeezed her shoulder reassuringly before starting the car. She was glad when they finally arrived at the pizzeria and when she saw Beck sitting there waiting for her. Since Cat had shocked her while she had tried to fix the light she felt a little dizzy, so after she had eaten she leaned tiredly against Beck, hoping they would go home soon.

Another half an hour later Beck told the rest of the group that him and Jade would drive home now. When Jade stood up she felt a little dizzy and for a moment supported herself by leaning on Beck. Of course did her boyfriend immediately realize that she wasn't feeling well, but he knew better than to ask her about it in front of everyone. Without drawing much attention to them he casually lay an arm around her and guided her to his car.

After he had made sure that she was seated comfortable he got into the car as well and looked worried at her. He was always the one who knew immediately if something was wrong and often he worried too much. However today she was glad that he had seen something was off. Tiredly she leaned her head against the cold window and closed her eyes. She could feel a headache coming. She didn't know when she had fallen asleep, but she woke up in Beck's arms while he was carrying her inside his RV. Normally she would refuse to let anyone see her so weak, but with him she accepted it.

When he sat her down on his bed and gave her one of his shirts to sleep in she gave him a small smile before changing. Her head hurt and the dizzy feeling was still there so she immediately lay down after she was ready for bed. Beck joined her a few seconds later and looked worriedly in her eyes.

"If you're not feeling better by tomorrow, I'm taking you to a doctor."

Jade only nodded. It felt good to have someone taking care of her when she wasn't feeling her best and she had to admit that Beck was very sweet when he was worried.

Thankfully she felt better in the morning when she woke up and had only a light headache. She wasn't surprised that Beck was already up and had already talked to a doctor, who was a friend of his family, about her symptoms. The doctor had said to him that they were normal symptoms after a minor electric shock.

"You're way too overprotective." She smirked at him.

"What's wrong with caring about the person I love so much." He countered and smiled at her.

Jade rolled her eyes, but mirrored his expression. He was a sap, but one that cared deeply for her and loved her. Maybe he deserved a thank you, well not a said one but the kiss she gave him after his words spoke for her.
