One Year Later
"Missy hurry up! We're going to be late!" Charlie called out as he yelled at his girlfriend to move. Shaking his head Charlie looked at his three year old son and sighed. "No wonder we almost missed our flight here from Boston. Your mom has no sense of timeliness."
The three year old looked up at his father and just snickered before he turned and saw his mom walking down the hall. "Mommy!"
Missy wore a sleek pink dress that hugged her body in all the right places. Providing just the right amount of sex appeal the drove Charlie wild. Missy smiled big as she saw her toddler run up to her. "Why don't you look handsome? I see your dad managed to get you ready before me this time," Missy slyly remarked.
Charlie just rolled his eyes and started to push his young family out the door. "Yeah, yeah I get it. Dad's wrong no matter what. Can we just get going before we miss this thing?"
Ushering them out the door they quickly made it to the familiar New York rooftop. Seeing all the nice faces Missy smiled as she saw Riley and Lucas standing near the the chairs that were laid out. Walking over to Riley, Missy called out her name. "Riley!"
Spotting the auburn bombshell, Riley smiled and held out her arms. "Missy," she greeted. "You look amazing," she continued as Missy embraced her. "How's Boston been treating you and Charlie?"
"Can't complain. It's actually been pretty amazing. Honestly it's been a dream."
Riley smiled at her tenderly and squeezed her arm. "I'm so glad. You deserve it."
"What about you? How's UT?"
Riley scoffed and ran her hands down her green dress. "Kicking my ass but great. Can't complain."
Looking around Missy smiled. "Can you believe this is actually happening? It seems like just yesterday he proposed."
"I know. But they're both ready and it's honestly been a long time coming. My Uncle Josh has been waiting his whole life for this moment. I'm glad that he's doing this with her. Oh look they're about to get started. You guys should come sit with me and Lucas."
The two young couples sat next to each other eagerly as the event began. Cory stood at the end of the aisle with Josh by his side as he was officiating today's ceremony. Josh stood there in a simple black tux smiling so bright. Everyone rose as Maya began to walk towards him with Shawn on her arm. Maya's blonde hair was pulled back in a beautiful wavy hair style and her white dress was simple yet elegant. Framing her body in the most beautiful of ways. The pair couldn't keep their eyes off of each other. Never breaking contact.
The two stood in front of Cory with huge smiled on their faces as the ceremony began. Their now two year old son looked on in astonishment and pure awe of his parents. They were stunning. They recited traditional vows and stared deep into each others eyes taking in this once in a lifetime moment. Their favorite part quickly came as it came time for them to have their first kiss as a married couple. Josh smiled at his now wife and cupped both her cheeks in his hands and kissed her tenderly in front of all their friends and family.
Walking back down their aisle as Mr. and Mrs. Joshua Matthews the couple smiled and went off into their own private little world before appearing back to their closest family and friends. "Hello Mrs. Matthews," Josh greeted as he took Maya into his arms. "I like the sound of that. Maya Matthews. It has a nice ring to it."
Laughing Maya leaned forward and kissed her husband. "Shut up." Pulling away from the kiss Maya rested her hands on Josh's chest. "This life of ours feels like a dream sometimes."
"Really?" Josh asked with his head cocked to the side. "Why is that?"
"No reason. I guess it's all just so amazing that it feels unreal," she answered. "But enough about that. We have about thirty minutes before we have to go back out to our guests. So what shall we do with this time?"
Josh let a sly grin cross over his face. "Thirty minutes huh? You know I can do a lot with thirty minutes," he said in a low tone.
Catching on Maya ran her fingers up his chest and into his hair. "Our last thirty minutes of fun is sitting out there with your mom might I remind you but hey maybe we'll get lucky a second time."
"Maya, you are-"
Maya cut him off with a kiss and locked the door of the room they were in. "Too much talking. Now we only have twenty-nine minutes and I plan on making every single one of them count."
The rest of the evening was bliss. Everyone danced and celebrated their nuptials, loving the fact that this was only the beginning of their lives together. Josh and Maya would go on in the coming years to have a few more kids and a wonderful house full of love and life that their family and friends would visit them in all the time. Now no one is sure if this would have been their exact path had they not had Aiden all those years ago but everyone is sure that having Aiden was the best decision that created the trajectory of their lives.
