Really sorry about the long wait in between chapters but here it is

Bismuth explained "Homeworld used to use these things on Gems that started steppin' out of line. One hit with this... *Deactivates Rejuvenator* you're back to how they made you."

Steven said "So that's what happened to my powers, my human half kept me from poofing but the Rejuvenater must've sent my gem back, all the way to Pink Diamond's day's"

Bismuth sadly looks at Ruby and Sapphire. The former assumes a defensive stance to protect the latter.

Ruby angrily asked "What are you lookin' at?"

Peridot yelled "Oh, my stars, I touched it! I could have lost all my character development. Wait, how did you survive being hit by that thing, Steven?"

Steven answered "I-I think I didn't. My human half kept me from poofing, but - but my Gem half, it took the hit. She sent me back. It's like I'm a kid again. I can barely control my powers. How do we reverse this? Oh no. Do I need to get the Diamonds?"

Steven said "Why do you say that like it's the worst thing ever, the Diamonds could help, sure they may smother you, but we've dealt with way worse."

Bismuth hands Steven the Rejuvenator back.

Lapis said "You're the one with healing powers. If anyone can fix this, it's you."

Steven said "My healing powers don't work but thanks for the vote of confidence."

Steven said "I can't believe this. For the first time in years, everyone's in danger. Everybody needs me, and I'm useless. Bismuth, what do we do?"

Bismuth said "I'm sorry, Steven. *sigh* I don't know."

Connie said "This is the worst disaster yet, the 3 main hero's are idiots, no offense of course."

Pearl said "None taken, in fact I'll take that as a compliment because at least idiots can think for themselves."

Connie continued "The best defender is basically out of commission, and no one has a clue of what's going on."

Steven turns his gaze to Ruby and Sapphire before tearing up.

Steven said "Garnet would know what to do. Garnet always knows what to do."

Spinel appears next to Steven.

Spinel said "Hey, don't be sad."

She begins to dance around Steven, slowly taking on more maniacally happy expressions before coiling around Steven in celebration.

Spinel sang "your new best friend, your new best friend, your new best friend, YOUR NEW BEST FRIEND Spinel, is here! *laughing rhythmically*

Steven, dejected and refusing to acknowledge Spinel's attempts to cheer himself up, begins to sadly sing "Here we are in the future

Here we are in the future and it's wrong

Just a second ago, we were singing this song

And now, they're gone, because of her

Steven looks trods Spinel who happily winks before continuing "Happily ever after, there we were"

Steven said "It's not all Spinel's fault, if anything it's mom's fault."

Bismuth sang "When has it ever been easy?

Garnet replied "Never."

Hasn't it always been hard to be us?

Garnet said "Agreed"

When you go against the grain

There's always somebody around you can't trust.

Bismuth looks at Spinel who looks around and before looking back at Bismuth before shrugging cluelessly.

Steven chuckled

Bismuth continued "That's why we've got to have each other

While we'll figure this out, we must!

Because we are the Crystal Gems,

And we never give up,

We never give up on our friends

As long as one of us is standing to brandish the star,

We'll find a way,

To save the day,

That's who we are!

All the Crystal Gems yelled "Yeah!"

Steven still sad sang "Here we are in the future

Here we are in the future and it's wrong!

Look at them, they're not even singing along

If I could've just stopped right there, we'd be

Totally fine,

Totally us,

Totally me,

Steven said "Come on me, you can't still be down in the dumps, sure this is the worst situation ever but we've always bounced back, all it'll take is a slap the the face and a good song, the song part is already covered, you've got a great singing voice by the way Bismuth, now someone just needs to slap some common since back into him."

Bismuth sang "Even if it takes a thousand years to get them back, we will

They may not know who they are, but we do."

The group descends down to Little Homeworld's square as Bismuth continued "Believe me, Steven, I've known them longer,

I've seen them get through worse and come back stronger,

That's why I believe in them."

When they get to the bottom Bismuth pours molten lava into a star-shaped mold in the middle of town, and continues "And I believe in you!

Because we are the Crystal Gems,

And we never give up,

No, we never give up on our friends

As long as one of is standing to brandish the star."

Steven's spirit is returned as the lava in the mold nears him and then Peridot and Lapis join in song.

Bismuth and Peridot sang "We'll find a way,"

Bismuth and Lapis sang "To save the day,"

Bismuth finished "That's who we are!" *wink*

Steven said "Okay you got my spirit lifted, now I just need that slap to the face."

Jasper stood up

Steven yelled "Not me now, future me!"

Jasper sat back down

Steven said "Right. Okay. Let's put our heads together. There's gotta be some way to make them remember."

Spinel asked "What if it's like a puzzle?"

Steven asked "Huh?"

Spinel answered "If we give 'em all the pieces *brings fingers together* eventually, they'll get the picture. *square fingers (I have no idea what it's really called)*

Steven said "Spinel, your a genus."

Steven replied "Spinel, you might be onto something. If every experience they lost is a-a piece of who they are, we just have to give them back all the pieces, one experience at a time."

Doctor Maheswaran said "That actually makes sense, that's how we treat people who get amnesia, by helping them remember one thing at a time, for any of you who don't know what amnesia is it's when a human suffers from memory loss, to the point where they forget their own name sometimes."

Au note: I don't know much about amnesia, I'm just guessing.

Lapis asked "Are you serious?"

Peridot yelled "That could take forever!"

Steven replied "Exactly. So, let's get started."

Steven, Bismuth, Lapis, and Peridot sing "We'll find a way!

To save the day

That's who we are!"

The three of then culminate their performance with a dramatic pose... before being joined by Spinel, who overdramatically sings "Hear we are in the future,

Hear we are in the future and it's WRONG!"

Steven interrupts "Whoa, Spinel, it's okay. We're done."

Steven said "If nothing else Spinel is adorable."

Almost everyone agreed, in fact Bismuth had to be held back from joining the hug between Steven and Spinel

Connie asked "Steven why are you still hugging Spinel?"

Steven answered "1 in case they try to attack her again, and 2 because I can, you can join in if you want."

Connie joins the hug and then Steven and Spinel's gems both glow and all three of them are Incased within a bright light and when the light dies down Royal Stevonnie is standing there

Everyone is very shocked or in Garnet's case grinning like an idiot.

I groaned "Okay I assume you might have questions, so long story, short version, that's Royal Stevonni, a fusion between Steven, Connie, and Spinel, kinda one of my creations." I snapped my fingers and the three defused and I continued "Try not to fuse again, this fusion technically doesn't exist and I'm trying to keep the Continuity intact."

Steven replied "No problem, you need to respect continuity."

Au note: please bear with the long wait in between chapters of this, Steven Universe Future ruined the series for us and we can't work on this story for long periods of time, so it will be a while before the next chapter
