The next day Sonata sat in the kitchen feeding the twins. She peeps into the living room seeing Gintoki sitting on the couch. He wasn't talking to her. After feeding, she cleans the twins, then puts them on the floor so they can play with their toys and crawl around. She stands behind Gintoki, then taps him. "Gin, do you hate me?"

"No."

"Will you ever forgive me?"

"No." Sonata looks down, feeling ashamed. She walks over to the couch, then sits next to him. "Gintoki, please. I will do anything for your forgiveness, anything..." He glances at her. "You have nothing I want."

"Well, I don't want you to hate me." He sigh. "I don't hate you. I can't forgive you right now. You lied to me and put out kids in danger. So need time to think about it." She nods. The twins crawl toward their parents. Ginharu pulls on Gintoki's pants while Gintosu tries to climb up the couch. "What is it?" He sat them on his lap.

"Come to mommy. Papa's arm hurts." She holds her hands out, but the twins ignore her and begin poking and tapping Gintoki on his face. Sonata frowns. "Even my kids are upset with me. After I put them in danger, they have the right to be." She turns away. Gintoki wouldn't interact with his kids, so Ginharu crawls over to his mother. She turns to him, then smiles. "I apologize, Ginharu. I know you don't understand. So I hope you can forgive me one day." He giggles when she kisses his cheeks. Gintosu wanted affection, so he crawled over to his mother. "I hope you can forgive me one day too. I am sorry, Gintosu." She kisses him on the cheek. He laughs. "I love you two."

As she shares a moment with her kids, Gintoki leans over and kisses Sonata on her cheek. She stares at him while looking confused. "What was that for?"

"Because you are upset, and I hate when you cry. Don't cry, okay? It's not like you. I want to see the annoying women you are. Not the crybaby side of you." Sonata smiles at him, then lean her head on his shoulder. "Ouch!" She rubs him. "Sorry." She looked down at the twins sitting between them, then sighed. "Masaya will send Luke to get me again. I don't know when, but it will be soon." Gintoki boops his twins on their noses. "If he is still alive. Who's Luke anyway? What does he do?"

"Luke is second in command. If Masaya tells everyone Luke is in charge for a day, then everyone has to listen to him. His job is to dispose of people that are not needed anymore." She caresses her twins on their heads. "That's why Masaya keeps sending him out here." She nods. "I don't know why Luke told me to come with him. He was supposed to kill me. They don't take prisoners." Gintoki shook his head. "He will not kill you. I will protect you and the kids. I promise." She sighed. "I put my kids and you into this situation. You shouldn't have to protect me."

"Can you fight?"

"I can use a gun." He shakes his head. "That's not fighting. I am going to protect you, no matter what." She looks up at him. "Okay."

In one of Masaya's bases, he walks down the hall toward the medical room. He walks in to see the men he hired beaten severely. He is disappointed in everyone. "Luke! You failed again!" Luke sucks his teeth at him. "You think I don't know that?"

"Don't get smart with me. You couldn't even kidnap two babies. You're a disappointment." He glares at his boss. "Me? It's that fucking silver hair bodyguard Sonata has! What is he, a Samurai or swordsman?"

"Stop your bitching! No more of your excuses! He cut you badly, Luke. You should be dead. I can't believe you let him beat you in sword fighting."

"He got lucky! Next time he won't be." Luke clenches his fist. "Whatever. Just sit here and heal. I won't be needing you next time. That Samurai want me to get her myself. Then he better be ready. Stay here until further notice Luke. I don't want you fucking up everything." Masaya narrows his eyes at him, then walks away. Luke grits his teeth and glares at him. "Whatever. Just wait, Masaya."
