Sonata walks into her house to see Gintoki and the twins asleep on the couch. Instead of waking him up, she smacks him hard on the chest. "Ah-shit!" She pokes him. "Be quiet. Can't you see the twins are asleep? I am home now. So you can leave, Gintoki." He sigh. "Where the hell have you been?" She picks up their toys. "Work, duh... Did you feed the kids and help them with their homework?" He nods. "Yeah, but the homework part was hard as hell. So I wrote their teacher a note saying screw you and your math."

"Of course, you don't care."

"For your information. I do care about things in my life. Like my kids, you, and strawberry milk." Sonata walks over to her children. "Hey, wake up. Go to bed, you two." The twins yawned, then sat there for a few seconds. While walking to their room, they tripped over their pajama pants and fell on the floor. They moan as Sonata and Gintoki pick them up and take them to bed.

"Damn, they're heavy." She nods. "Uh-huh. You can leave now, Gin." He frowns. "Stop trying to throw me out." She sigh. "You don't live here, it's late, and I want to sleep. That girl is waiting for you, right?"

"Ah... I see what this is all about." She turns to him. "About what?" He crosses his arms. "You're jealous." Sonata laughs. "Of what? Jealous of miss smoke a lot? Look, like I told you before. Tsukuyo can have you, Gintoki."

"You're in denial." She chuckles. "You keep telling yourself that." Sonata walks away from him, but he grabs her arm. "Stop it, let go." He moves in closer. "What happens to our relationship?" They stare at each other until Sonata yanks her arms away. "What relationship?"

"The one we had before kids and after I saved you." She rolls her eyes. "You know what happened. I wanted to move forward with our relationship, and you did something stupid. Just focus on raising our kids."

"I'm doing that, but what about us?"

"There is no us anymore."

"Ouch..." Gintoki and Sonata turn to see the twins on the floor. They smile at their parents. "Hey... How's it going?" Ginharu asked. "We're not eavesdropping or anything. So, are you two getting along?"

"Get to bed," they told them. "We want a snack first," Gintosu said. "I'll bring it to you. Just go to bed," Sonata said. The twins sigh while going back to their room.

The next day after school, Gintosu and Ginharu sat outside the Dojo, waiting for Gintoki to show. "ARGH! What's with this guy?!" Gintosu shouted. Ginharu sat while popping the gum in his mouth. "You know how Dad is. He's always late." His brother looks around. "I'm going to put my foot up his ass if he doesn't show." Ginharu scoffed. "You know that's impossible. Have patience, Gintosu." His brother narrows his eyes. "Patience?! I hate being patient!" Gintosu roundhouse kicks his soda can in the air. A few seconds later, it did not come back down. The Twins stare up at the sky. Ginharu lifts his bangs to get a good look. "Did it disappear?" He asked. "I don't know..."

Gintoki finally arrived, then walked over to them while eating parfait. "Hey."

"HEY?!" The Twins shouted. "That's all you have to say?! We have been standing here for twenty minutes! You are wasting our training time," Gintosu said. "The nerve of you, old man. You come here when you get ready. Shame on you for leaving your eight-year-olds out here," Ginharu told him. "Shut up... I'm here, aren't I? I'm sorry I took too long. Tsukuyo and I had to put our clothes back on."

"Yuck! We heard that!"

"UGH... COME ON! MAN! WE DON'T WANT TO HEAR THAT SHIT!" Gintosu shouted. "YEAH! YOU KEEP WHAT YOU DO TO THAT WOMAN TO YOURSELF!" Ginharu said. "It was a joke! And what's wrong with me talking about your stepmother?"

"Whoa-whoa whoa! Hold up!" The Twins pointed. "Tsukuyo is NOT our stepmother. NO! NEVER!" Ginharu corrected. "Exactly! We have a Mom. We don't need her," Gintosu added. "HEY! What did I say about talking about Tsukuyo like that?"

"Mom said we can!"

"Yeah, we don't give a damn about her."

"Well, I said you can't! I'm dating Tsukuyo now, and you two will respect her. Understand?" The twins cross their arms, then look away with a sigh. "Yeah, whatever." He looks back at them. "What was that?"

"Yes, Dad..." They roll their eyes as he nods. "Good." Gintoki unlocks the door, then walks in. His kids follow as they put their bags down. After taking off their sneakers, they step onto the mat. Gintoki picks up two wooden sticks and tosses the twins, one each.

"Hey, what's this?" Gintosu asked. "Yeah, I thought you said we were training with swords," Ginharu said. "Yeah, right. When practicing, using sticks is better. If you two get stabbed, Sonata will kick my ass. Now, fight each other until one of you quits." They sigh. "Why do you we have to fight each other?" Ginharu asked. "Just do it." They sigh again. "Fine." The twins face each other to bow. Ginharu looked up to see a wooden stick swinging near his face. He backflips to dodge the attack. "Are you serious, Gintosu? A sneak attack?" He readies his weapon. "It was not a sneak attack. I did it in front of you. I can't believe you dodged it. How the hell can you see with those bangs covering your eyes?"

"How can you fight with that shaggy dog's tail in the back of your head? You call that hair?"

"It's a ponytail!"

"Riiiight..."

"Shut up!" Gintosu charges his brother. Ginharu twirls his stick and stops Gintosu's attack. "What the hell?"

"Think before you charge at me." Ginharu pokes him in the stomach, then trips him over. He thrust his stick toward his brother's face. Gintosu gets up and quickly moves out of the way. Ginharu's weapon hits the mat, making a loud sound. Gintoki looks away from his jump manga and looks around. "Was that earthquake?"

"Watch it! You almost hit me in the face with that," Gintosu told him. "This is a fight. Deal with it." Ginharu swings his stick close to his brother's face. Gintosu dodges it, then whacks Ginharu on the feet. "Damn, man! Watch it!"

"This is a fight. Now you deal with it!" Gintosu ran up to him. He swings his stick and whacks Ginharu on the butt. "Ouch..." Gintosu trips him over and points his weapon at his brother's face. "Don't you ever! Underestimate me, you son of a lazy Samurai." He narrows his eyes. "You are a son of a lazy Samurai too!" Ginharu kicks Gintosu onto the mat. "Hey! I can hear you two," Gintoki told them. Gintosu thrust his stick and got ready to hit Ginharu in the face. Moving quickly, Ginharu kicks it away as both weapons fall to the floor. The twins ran towards their weapons, then started fighting again. As they clash sticks again, they push back to make room. "I won't lose to you." Gintosu grits his teeth. "What makes you think that you will win?" Ginharu asked. He narrows his eyes. "Dad! Are you watching us?" They asked. "Uh-huh." Gintoki waves them off. "No, you're not! You're looking at your phone again," Gintosu said. "He's on the internet," Ginharu said.

The Twins sigh as their fight continues. They swing their weapons making gusts of wind blow around the room. Gintoki's bangs flew up from his forehead. "It's cold in here. Is the window up?" Time past. While breathing heavily, the twins scowl at each other while standing up. "Why won't you stay down?" Ginharu asked. "I whacked you a couple of times. Why the hell are you still standing?" Gintosu asked.

"Again, I won't lose to you."

"I won't either."

The twins lift their weapons, then run toward each. "That's enough!" Gintoki shouted. They look at their father. "What? What happen?" He walks over to him. "Enough fighting."

"But you said we have to fight each other until one of us quits," Ginharu said. "I did, and now the time is up. So did one of you quit? No."

"So, what does that mean?" Gintosu asked. "What do you think? It's been two hours, and you two are still standing. So what does that tell you?"

"We're equal," Ginharu said. "Correct. You two should have known that since you are twins." They sighed. "If you knew that, why did you make us fight each other?" Gintosu asked. "So I can choose your fighting styles." He points to Ginharu. "Brains." Then he points to Gintosu. "And bronze."

"Are you trying to say I don't have brains, old man?" Gintosu asked. "More like your brain is small. But don't worry, Dad is all bronzes, and he is stupid," Ginharu pointed. "Who are you calling stupid?" Gintoki pinched Ginharu's nose. "Oww... I'm sorry. But, when you called me brains. Does that mean I'm weak?" Ginharu asked. "Of course not. You and Gintosu are equal, but your fighting styles are different. You think before you make a move, and Gintosu moves without thinking. There's nothing wrong with that."

"So if we join together..."

"We will make a great combination!" Ginharu shouted with excitement. Gintosu jumps up and down. "Exactly. Now you get it," Gintoki said. He smiles at them while pinching their cheeks. The Twins smile back. "Now, tomorrow, you two will train with real weapons." Their eyes light up. Finally, real weapons. "AWESOME!" After gathering their things, they head outside. While walking away from the Dojo, a can of soda fell from the sky and splashed on Gintoki's head. "What the hell?!" The twins look at each other. "There it is..." They laugh.

At the same time, a man taps his pen on his desk while sighing. After thinking, he smirks while staring at the woman in front of him. "So, let me get this straight. You want to be a part of the organization again?"

"Yes." He sighs while rubbing his temples. "Why? After what happened last time? Why put yourself in so much danger again? Why even come back here?" She shrugs. "Maybe my life is boring. You might as well say I'm getting old and need something to do."

"That's not a reason. You have children. Raising them is something for you to do. If you join, you will be doing the same thing."

"I know, this is just for a little while. When I say I want out, then that means I'm out. Got it? Leave my kids and the people I'm associated with out of this." He stares at her. "I got it. I'm not like Masaya. I don't attend to kidnap people. That's not my style anymore. But when I call you in for a mission, I don't want to hear any excuses."

"I understand."

"What a shame. After being saved, you betray that man by crawling back. Your life must be pretty boring."

"Not really. I have my kids, so I'm not always bored."

"Now that you are one of us again, there shouldn't be any problems, right, Sonata?" She shakes her head. "No problems, Luke."
