The next day after school, the twins spent time with their mother until it was time for them to leave. They walked to the door. "We're leaving, mom!" Gintosu shouted. "Okay. Be safe." She kisses her son on the cheek, then walks them outside. "Bye!" Gintosu and Ginharu get on their motorbikes and ride off. Sonata watches them leave. When they left, she went into the house to change. A few minutes later, she came outside. A helicopter hovers over to her, blowing wind. She ran towards it, then hopped in. After sitting down, it took off in the air.
The twins hid around the corner as they watched their mommy leave. "Let's go," Ginharu said. The twins start their motorbikes, then drives off following the helicopter. They made sure to stay out of sight. It was fast, but they managed to keep track of it. They left Edo behind after cutting through the woods. "Ginharu, where do you think mom is going?" He hunches his shoulders. "Don't know. Maybe to the base. We might have trouble getting in." He points his thumb behind him. "Don't worry. I took our weapons with me." Ginharu looks around. "Tell me why we're following mom again?" He sighed. "I told you, we don't think mom is dangerous. There has to be a reason why she is doing all of this." The twins continue to follow the helicopter. They lost them a few times, but they managed to keep up.
Once they got there, a large base appeared in front of them. They stop to stare at the size of that place. "Dude, mom could be anywhere in there." He nods. "Yeah. You'll go in with me, right?" Ginharu asked. Gintosu laugh. "Don't be stupid. Of course, I will. Just make sure you have my back." He smiles. "Don't I always?" Gintosu nods. "One question. How do we get in?" Gintosu hunched his shoulders. They look up seeing the helicopter their mom is on has arrived. It lands on the ground. Sonata jumps out of the aircraft, then walks in.
"Let's go." Following their mother, they ran in unnoticed. The twins kept to the shadows as Sonata walked down a long hallway. Security nods to her giving her permission to pass through. "How are we going to get past them?" Gintosu whispered. Ginharu dings into his backpack. He takes out a few tiny balls and throws them down another hall. Security heard the noise. "What was that?" They look around. "I don't know. Go check it out." He pushed him. "You go check it." Gintosu drinks the last of his soda, then throws it. The guards ran to where they heard shattering glass. When they left, the twins ran after their mother. Sonata walks down the hall, then turns the corner. "Dude, I hear guards coming this way," Ginharu whispered. "Crap. You want to take them out?" He grins. "Of course." They take out their weapons. "Wait, someone has to keep an eye on mom. Ginharu, you go." He frowns. "What? What about you?" He taps his head. "I won't be able to keep track of Mom. I barely pay attention. I'll be fine." Ginharu sighed. "You can't handle guards by yourself, Gintosu." He laughs. "Don't be stupid. I will be fine, and don't lose sight of mom." He nods. "Alright. Do not get caught." Ginharu speeds up, following Sonata.
A guard came another way, spotting Gintosu. "Hey, kid! What are you doing here?" He looks around. "Huh? Who me?" He pointed to himself. "Yeah, you. State your business. What are you doing here, and who let you in?" Gintosu released the blade from the back of him. "Um... Well, you see. I-M-My dad let me in. Yeah, that's right. It takes your kids to work day. Luke's orders."
"Take you, kids, to work day? Are you serious?" He rolls his eyes. "Well, duh! What, you don't believe me? Come on. How would a kid like me sneak into a secure place without an adult? Think about it." He taps his head. "Yeah, you are right. Wait right here. Hey guys! Why did you tell me it was bringing your child to work day? I could have brought my daughter!" They look his way. "We didn't know!" Gintosu is relieved. He put away his sword, then ran off, following his brother. "That guy is stupid." He caught up to him. "There you are, Gintosu. I thought you got caught." He scoffed. "That will never happen." When they saw their mother, they stopped to watch her. She puts her hand on a device and opens the door. She walks in. The twins ran behind her, trying to go in, but the door close in their faces. "Damn!" Haru hits the door. "Well, we won't be getting through this. The door is metal. And we need DNA to open it." He nods. "We have Mom's DNA in us." He sighed. "Yeah, mixed with Dad's." The boys sighed. "This is bullshit. Can you disable it, Ginharu?" He shakes his head. "Hell no." The twins yell in frustration. They took out their weapons and ran back to the last door. They stopped, turned around quickly, and ran fast a full speed. They jump up and use their swords, knocking down the metal door. The twins fell on their backs after making an explosion. "Ahh! Damn, that hurt!" They sat up. "That was a sloppy leaning." Gintosu nods.
"Bring your kid to what day?! I didn't fucking say that! Where did you get that shit from?" His employee begins babbling. "This is a spy corporation, not a fucking daycare center!"
"I know, sir. It's just this little kid snuck in. We don't know how. He was a silver and black hair little brat and-" Luke stares at him. He narrows his eyes and puts his cigarette down. "Did you say? Silver and black hair?" He nods. "Yeah, he snuck in and-"
"You can leave now."
"What?"
"Go, I'll deal with it."
"Yes, sir." Security leaves the room. Luke stares at the cameras. He watches Gintosu and Ginharu run down the hall. "Her little brats grew up."
The twins kept running down the hall. "I think mom went this way," Ginharu said. They turn the corner seeing security blocking another door.
"Shit."
"Whoever you are, we know you're out there. Now come out!" The guards heard footsteps. They raised their swords, then lowered them a little when they saw a little boy steps out of the shadow. "What the?" Ginharu stares at them, looking a little scared. "A kid? A child broke that metal door down?!"
"No way. Hey, kid. What the hell are you doing here?"
"I don't know... I think I'm lost. I was looking for my mommy, and now I can't find her. Have you seen my mommy...?" Ginharu covers his face with his hands. "Great, now the brat is crying."
"Hey, kid, stop crying. We will take you back into the city to find your mom. Just stop it, okay?." Ginharu removes his hands. "Really? You will take me to find my mommy?" They nod. "Yeah, just calm down." He smirks. "Good, because my mommy went straight through that door behind you." Gintosu appears from behind his brother. "So be nice and open it for us, or else."
"What the fuck?!"
"There's two of them!" The twins ran, then jumped up with their swords in their hands. The guards yelled when they saw two blades coming at them at full speed. A minute later, Gintosu wipes a card to open the door. The last guy they fought drops to the floor in pain. "That went well." He nods. "Yeah, it did. Thank you, guys." The twins ran down a hall seeing a double door. They put their ears to it, hearing their mother's muffled voice. "I can not hear. Haru, how are we going to get in there?" He thought for a minute. In a matter of minutes, the twins are outside hanging upside down, looking into Luke's office. They can hear their mother talking to him. "Hey, dad said that Luke is the one with blonde hair. This guy's hair isn't blonde," Ginharu said. "It must be Masaya." The twins continue to listen to them talk.
"Here's your next mission. Go handle it." She sighed. "Luke, I want out. I'm tired of spying." He groaned. "Yeah yeah. I know that already. I told you. Once we complete our goal, you can be a normal mother. And marry that damn samurai." She laughs. "I will never marry Gintoki. Now that he knows I'm back spying. He disowned me."
"Aww, that's sad," Luke said, being sarcastic. "Can you not be the way you are?"
"No. Now do your mission so you can go home to your children."
"Question, are you positive this plan will work, Luke?" He took a puff from his cigarette, then sighed. "I hope so. It can save millions too. Hopefully, your former samurai will not interrupt us."
"No. Gin does not care about what I do. As long as I don't put the kids in danger." He nods. "Good. Make sure he stays away as far as possible. Now go do the mission I gave you." She nods. "Yes, sir." Sonata turns around and walks out the door. The twins look at each other. "So Mom is a spy," Gintosu said. "No, duh... Are you finally taking notice now?" He looks away. "No. It's just that I thought dad was lying." He sighed. "Yeah, same here. But what are they planning?"
"Yeah, he said saving millions? What does that mean?"
"Let's get out of here." Gintosu nods. They tried to climb back up, but the window they were leaning on opened, making them fall into Luke's office. They rolled onto the floor in front of his desk. Luke hit the switch, making the window flip back in place. He stood up, then walked over to the twins looking down at them. They look up at him as he smirks. "Well, look what we have here."
