Luke puts down the phone. "I will tell you, but don't go running your fucking mouth, okay?" The twins nod. He sighed. "I might as well tell you how this all started." Luke thought back on his life. "My brother and I inherited this spy business."

"Your brother?"

"Masaya, my older brother. Once our father died, we were officially in charge. Masaya was the boss, and I was second in command. Everything was good back then. People would pay many of our Spies to get information for them. Until Masaya got sick of it."

"What do you mean?" Gintosu asked. "He said everyone was using us." Luke flashbacks to what happened.

"You want to what?"

"Instead of taking information for them. I want to keep it for myself."

"Masaya, that would be double-crossing."

"They are already double-crossing us. We got our people out there spying for them. Why do that when we can send our spy's out there to collect information for ourselves."

"But what about getting paid? How would we run this base without any money?"

"Easy. If those fuckers want what our spies get. Then they have to pay for it."

"Pay? For information? No way. Why would our clients pay for info when they can send one of their own to get it?"

"Our spies are professionals. Trust me if they want it. They will pay."

"Pfft, yeah, right."

"But of course, me being stubborn at the age of 15. I didn't believe it until the day it happened. People were paying for the information we stole. But I noticed Masaya wasn't making deals with our original clients. These clients were more dangerous, and we were stealing government information. Anything confidential to the country. Huge information that will get us to put in jail for life. And these criminals or mafia bosses would buy and bid on this info for a ton of dough. Crazy fucks." He sighed. "It wasn't enough for Masaya. He wanted more power. He wanted people to fear him. So he took down companies that were a threat. He lost it. All that power got to his head. And soon, he was unstoppable. I noticed he had changed a lot. He was just this heartless bastard who killed anyone who got in his way. Then he had this problem."

"Problem?" The twins asked. "What kind of problem?" Luke blows out smoke, then flicks his cigarette. "An obsession over your mother."

Gintoki ran to Sonata's house and barged inside. "What the hell, Gin?!"

"Where are they?!"

"Where is who?"

"The twins! Where are they, Sonata?!"

"They're supposed to be with you!"

"Someone said they spotted them leaving your house. Now, what happened to them?!"

"I don't know! I walked them out the door, and I watched them leave. Now, why don't you have them?!" She punches him in the chest. "You take my children from me, and now you have no idea where they are?! I trusted you to look after them!"

"They were supposed to head home after school! If they didn't stop to see you! They wouldn't be missing right now!"

"So you're blaming me!"

"You damn right! I don't fucking trust you! Now, where is Luke's base located?"

"Luke doesn't have them!" Sonata tries to push Gintoki away, but he stands his ground. "Answer me, Sonata!"

The twins sat there staring at Luke. He stares back quietly. "What?" He asked. "Finish telling us the story."

"Huh? Oh yeah. Where was I again?"

"You said Masaya was obsessed with our mom." He nods. "Right."

"Old people," Gintosu whispers to his brother. Luke continues telling them what happened.

I walked into Masaya's office. "What are you doing, you lazy fuck?" Masaya stares at me and then rolls his eyes. "Don't annoy me today, Luke. Now be gone."

"Yeah, when I feel like it."

"Ugh, that cigarettes stink. Get it out of my office!"

"Well, excuse me, mister. I like clean air." That motherfucker prayed air freshener at me. "What the hell?!"

"You're smoking habit stinks. That's what the hell. Now, did the recruit come in yet?" I nod and told him, "Yeah. It's a bunch of them."

"Good. Tell the trainers not to go easy on them."

"Whatever."

"As time passed, we watched those newbies train. It was fucking annoying. Plus, I couldn't smoke with Masaya in the face 24/7. While watching them, it happened."

"Who is that girl?"

"Which girl, sir?"

"That one." He pointed to your mother. "Oh yes. That's Ibenka Sonata. She improved very quickly here. Her training might end early."

"Really?" Masaya eyes follows Sonata's every move. I could tell there was something about him that was weird. "Why do you want to know a spy's name? You want to fuck her or something?"

"Don't be rude, Luke!"

"What's the problem? I'm just asking a question. I don't see what's so good about her. She has an ass, but her rack is just too damn small. Should I tell her to meet you in your room later on?" I laughed while Masaya ignored me and continued to stare at Sonata. "Luke, I said watch your tongue. Before I rip it out, understand?" I rolled my eyes. "Whatever motherfucker."

"From that moment on, I knew he had a crush. Masaya did everything he could to get Sonata to notice him. She ignored him. It was prohibited for spies to fall in love. It will interfere with work. Masaya was the one who made the rule, so he didn't have to obey it. As her secret admirer, he sent her flowers, candy, and notes. All that other lovey bullshit people do. I know because he made me send it to her. He even watches her from the shadows. I caught that creep staring a few times, but he said he was passing by. Ha! Fucking liar! All the presents he sent to her went into the garbage. It seems that Sonata wasn't interested in love at the time. But she didn't know it was from Masaya. She thought it was from one of her co-workers. No matter who it was, she would have denied him too."

"Why?" Ginharu asked. "Because your mom wasn't into men at the time." The twins look at each other. "What do you mean?" Gintosu asked. Luke laughs as he remembers what Masaya's told him. "With flowers in his hands, Masaya got sick of Sonata throwing his presents away. So he finally got the guts to give it to her face-to-face. Ha! While walking down the hall, something happened. It was something that made me laugh so fucking hard. When he turned that corner, the look on his face was priceless. The flowers dropped from his hand. Masaya caught Sonata kissing another woman!"

Luke laughs. "Why are you laughing?" Ginharu asked. "Because it's funny, and Masaya was sad and pissed as fuck."

"So mom kissed a girl, who cares? We are used to it," Gintosu said. Ginharu nods. "How are you two used to it?" Luke asked. "We have two grandmas," the twins said. Luke nods. "Oh. Anyway, Sonata was in love with someone else."

"So, how did Masaya feel?"

"He was so pissed as shit. I was laughing at him when he told me that. I knew your mother didn't like men at the time. Masaya was so mad that day he told me to get rid of my mother." The twins look serious. "What do you mean?" Luke sigh. "I didn't want to do it, but whatever Masaya says, goes. Luke flashed back to that time.

In my brother's office, I was dying laughing. My stomach was hurting from what he told me. As I laughed, Masaya sat at his desk, pissed at fuck. He looked like he wanted to blow the world. Your mother dating someone else put him in a bad mood. He looks over at me. "Shut the fuck up, Luke!" I continued to laugh. "Do not get pissed at me because the woman you liked was tonguing down another woman." He stood up. "I said shut up." Then I stood up. "Make me." I wasn't afraid of him back then, so he was just an annoying older brother. I laughed again as Masaya sat there scowling at his desk. "I knew she didn't like men. After a few months, it was obvious." Masaya looked my way. "How was it obvious?" I smiled. "Masaya, she threw away all your gifts. I flirted with her, and the men here tried to date her. She ignored us. No wonder she only asked for a female partner when going undercover."

I laughed while Masaya sat there fuming. "You knew about this and kept it from me?!" I smiled and said, "Of course. The look on your face now is hilarious." I remember that brother lost his cool and started going off on me. He resented me for what I kept from him, but I did not care. Fuck him. "You get in my fucking nervous, Luke!" He shouted at me. All I did was laugh. I thought he would get over it, but I thought wrong. He sat in his seat and said some fucked up shit. "I can't believe Sonata. I want you to kill her, Luke." I stopped laughing when he said that. I heard him, but I did not think he was serious. So I asked him. "Kill her?" He nodded. "Yeah, I want her dead." When he said that, I wanted answers. "Because she was kissing a female?" He turned to me and said, "No because I feel stupid." He was embarrassed for chasing after a woman he could never have. "She is our elite spies, Masaya." He turned to me with this cold stare and said, "I don't care! Just replace her. Did you kill those traitors yet?" I shook my head. "Good. Put Sonata on a team with them, then kill them one by one on separate missions." I was speechless. He was serious. We kill traitors, but killing Sonata was unnecessary. I told my brother if he was sure. And he responded yes, get it done now. The only thing I could tell him was anything you say, boss."

Luke looks up at the twins. They are angry about what he told them. He lights a cigarette. "Anything else you need to know?"

"OUR MOTHER?! You tried to kill our mom! I will strangle you!" Gintosu tries to attack Luke, but Ginharu holds him back. Luke just sat there watching them. "YOU NEED TO CHILL!" He smacks his hand away. "I will not chill! He tried to kill our mother!" Ginharu grabbed him by his yukata. "I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL! I despise him too. I want to fight him badly, but we can't." Gintosu looks away. "Because of him, our mom almost died." Ginharu nods. "I know. I know." Ginharu comforted his brother.

"I only tried to kill your mother because Masaya wanted her dead. I had to follow his orders." The twins glared at him. "It doesn't matter! You didn't have to do it!" Luke nods. "You are right. I could have let Sonata live, but I didn't want to. My job was to kill people, and I liked my job. I almost killed you too, but your father had to save you." The twins are frustrated. I want to attack him, but their mother's life is more important. They have no clue what Luke might do. He took a few puffs of his cigarette. "Don't give me that look. You should be happy. Sonata was supposed to have died, but she survived that explosion. You two wouldn't be here if she died."

"We do not like you," the twins said. "I do not give a fuck. I'm the one who told your father that your mother was still alive. I didn't have to do that. So be grateful, you little shits. Now, get out."

"Not yet!"

"What do you mean not yet? Get the fuck out of my office."

"You told a backstory but no information. What's the real reason our mom joined you again?"

In a base underground, a group of people walks down a hall. "Is everything ready?" He nods. "Yes, sir."

"Are the bombs well made? It's Masaya orders." He nods. "Yes, sir." They walk through a door seeing a room full of missiles and explosives. He smiles evilly.
