Sonata took the helicopter to Luke's spy base. He asked for her and demanded to get there quickly. Once her ride landed, she jumped out, then ran towards the meeting room. She barges her way into the room. "Luke, I got your message. What's going on?" He sighs, then hands one of his employees a tracker. "Search for him. I want him found." He nods. "Yes, sir." He leaves the room. "Luke, what's going on?" He stood up. "Follow me, Sonata." She left the room with him. "Okay, but you need to tell me something. You said it was urgent, so tell me." He sighed. Would you be quiet? Just follow me."
Once they walked into his office, Luke sat down while lighting a cigarette. Sonata looks concerned and confused. "Luke, I'm dying to know. What's going on, and why is everyone running around panicking?" He sigh. "Are your kids alright?" She crosses her arms. "Yes." He took a puff. "Are you sure?" She nods. "Yes, they are. I saw them before I came over here. They are with their father. Why are you asking about the twins?" He shakes his head while blowing smoke from his mouth. "Luke, what the hell is-"
"Masaya is gone." Sonata stops breathing for a few seconds. She couldn't believe what he said. "What? W-What do you mean that Masaya is gone? No. He's dead. You told me you killed him." He shook his head. "I didn't. Because I couldn't." She walked over to his desk. "What are you talking about?"
"I was going to kill Masaya. But after I stabbed him, I couldn't finish him. I couldn't kill my older brother. I know I should have done it. He was going to kill me, but I couldn't kill him. So I put him in a tube so he can heal."
"ARE YOU SERIOUS?! All this time! For eight years! I thought Masaya was dead, but you kept him alive?! And now he's out there somewhere!"
"Look! I didn't know he would bust out! He's been in a coma for a long time. Masaya's memories were supposed to be gone. I got fooled."
"How can you be so careless?! Do you know his location?"
"We're searching for him now. I don't know where he is hiding. Call your twins. He might go after your family soon." She turned around and took out her phone. She calls Gintoki, but there is no answer. "Idiot, answer your phone." It kept ringing. "Come on! Answer the damn phone!" It kept ringing until someone finally answered
"Hello?"
"Gintosu! I'm glad you picked up. Are you-"
"Sorry, Dad can't come to the phone right now. So leave your name and number, and his lazy ass will get back to you."
"Damn it!"
"Ha, just joking. Is this you, Mom?"
"Gintosu! Honey, what's going on over there? Are you and your brother okay? Please answer me quickly. I need to know now."
"We're fine, Mom!" Ginharu shouted. "Are you sure?" They nod. "Yes!"
"Where is your brother?"
"Standing next to Dad. Hey, hand me that eyeshadow."
"Purple or Red?" Ginharu asked. "Red. Dad looks ugly in purple." They laugh. "He looks ugly in everything." The twins giggle. "What are you two doing? And where is your father?"
"Sleep on the couch. We are giving dad his dream makeover. Pass the lipstick," Ginharu said. "You think this will go well with his face?" They started thinking. "He used to be a drag, so put anything on his face." The twins laugh. "Let's give him a giant mole and a unibrow." Sonata is relieved. "So you three are not outside?" She asked. "No, Dad won't let us," Gintosu said. "Yeah, we have been grounded again. Do not ask why. So why do you ask?" Ginharu questioned.
"Don't ask questions. Whatever you do, stay inside."
"Why?"
"As your mother, just do what I tell you to do."
"The more you withhold information, the more suspicious you sound," Ginharu said. "Yeah, maybe I should check outside. I don't like to be lied to," Gintosu joked. "Little boy, do not play with me. Do not go outside. I need to take care of something, and I don't want it going after you two. So please, stay in the apartment with your father."
"Do you need help?"
"No, it is dangerous, so stay in the house. You know where to hide if something happens. Do I make myself clear?" They sighed. "Yes, mom…"
"Good, as promised, I will be back soon. I love you two."
"We love you too, mom." She ends the call. "Something is happening. We need to train a little to be ready." Ginharu nods then walked to the door with his brother. "Where do you think you two are going?" They stop. "Didn't you hear your mother? She said to stay inside."
"But, dad! Something is going on."
"I don't care. Your mother will handle it, now, stay out of it."
"But, dad!"
"WHAT DID I SAY?! If something is going on. It has nothing to do with you two." The twins were going to respond, but Gintoki cut them off. "I know what you two are going to say. Protect her dad. No! It is my job to protect you two." The twins got mad, ran to their room then slammed the door. Gintoki sighed. He looks into the mirror to see makeup on his face. He sighed. "Damn brats. Hmm, I look better than that old hag below me."
At a secret location, a man walked into the room, then stood by a desk.
"Sir. While you were away, we did everything you ever asked. We're waiting for you. Whenever you are ready to start. Just tell us." Masaya looks away from the mirror, then smile. There's some gray hair, but he still doesn't look bad after eight years. The only thing different about him is the damage Gintoki left on him. He replaced his missing hand with a metal one, then stood up. He walks over to the glass window to watch the view of Edo. "Let's start tonight. While everyone is asleep."
"Tonight? Are you sure?"
"I have been in a coma for eight years. I want to start my destruction of the city now. You and your men can destroy shit all you want. I need to get my revenge on that damn silver hair samurai."
