Part 1-A Call for Help

The first flurry of snow began to fall gently onto the streets of New York City as the cold winter arrived.

However, it was warm and calm in the turtles' lair and it was also peaceful and quiet for a change. The reason for this was because the four turtle brothers were having their early afternoon meditation session with Master Splinter.

They have all been quietly meditating for the past 15 minutes without any of the turtles fidgeting or complaining about it, even the youngest Michelangelo was taking the session seriously today because he was breathing in and out without feeling distracted.

Leo, on the other hand, was experiencing something in his meditation that was not so peaceful;

He was in the middle of doing some spiritual katas when he was suddenly transported in an area where it was surrounded by mountains and full of snow, and in front of him was what looked to be wreckage of some sort of vehicle. As he moved closer to it, he suddenly heard a voice.

"Leonardo…Leonardo…Leonardo…Help me…!"

Leo instantly knew who that voice belonged to, but before he could do anything to help, he was suddenly surrounded by a white light…

"USAGI!" Leo shouted out as he opened his eyes suddenly in shock, causing everyone else to jump and startle awake from their meditation.

"Geez, Leo…! Give us a heart attack, why don't ya!?" Raph said in annoyance as he glared at Leo for startling him.

"You ok, Leo?" Donnie asked as he placed a hand on Leo's shoulder.

"Yeah, you look like you saw a ghost…" Mikey said next with concern building up in his heart when he saw Leo's panic-filled face.

"Ah…Y-Yeah, s-sorry…" Leo said sheepishly as he rubbed the back of his neck.

"My son, what did you see that has you troubled?" Master Splinter asked calmly as he moved closer to him.

"I-I…I was in a snow-covered location…and I heard Usagi's voice calling for me…it sounded like he was in trouble…" Leo answered shakily as he held his head with one hand to try and calm himself down.

"Hmm…this is quite unsettling…" Master Splinter said whilst stroking his beard in thought.

"Do you think it's a vision, Master Splinter?" Donnie asked curiously.

"It is possible…However, we have yet to know if the events within the vision have happened recently or will happen further on into the future…" Master Splinter answered whilst deep in thought about the vision's timing, before he looked at all of his sons and spoke again.

"Our meditation has finished for today, my sons…and tonight's training session has been cancelled…I need to meditate again later this evening to investigate this matter in more detail…"

"Yes, Master Splinter…" The four turtles said in unison with a bow before they watched Master Splinter leave for his room.

"C'mon, Leo…Let's go get some lunch; I'll make you your favourite ramen dish…" Mikey said after a moment of silence to cheer his oldest brother up when he saw how worried he looked.

"That does sound good…thanks, Mikey…" Leo said in a more cheerful mood and gave his youngest brother a warm and grateful smile as he and his brothers head for the dining area.

-Break-

Later that night, the turtles were sleeping in their respected rooms and the whole lair was in a tranquil. A couple of hours later, however, that all changed in Mikey's room.

The youngest turtle started to move his head back and forth as he groaned and his eyelids twitched at what he was dreaming about during his slumber;

After having experienced being in a world full of pizza and superheroes, Mikey was suddenly hit by a bright light before discovering that he was now standing on snow-covered ground and was surrounded by huge mountains.

He also noticed that there were broken pieces of debris scattered all around him, which he thought were parts of a large transport vehicle (just like in Leo's vision).

Then, something big and tall appeared in a shadowy form, making it hard for Mikey to determine what it is, and it slowly started moving towards the spot from where he was standing.

"Oh, shell…!" Mikey said to himself in fright before he heard a voice echo around him.

"No… Please… Go away…!"

The shadow figure then raised its arm and threw it down towards Mikey before everything went dark…

"Nooo!" Mikey yelled out in fright as he opened his eyes and quickly raised his head from his pillow before he breathed rapidly.

A moment later, Leo and Donnie opened the door and entered his room after hearing their brother's cry, and gathered around his bed.

"Mikey, are you ok? What's wrong?" Leo asked in concern, but Mikey was too busy trying to prevent himself from having a panic attack to answer him.

"Deep breaths, Mikey…we're here…" Donnie said soothingly to help his immediate younger brother calm down and relax. "There you go…feel better?"

"Y-Yeah..." Mikey answered shakily.

"What happened?" Raph asked desperately when he came in a second later.

"I think he had a nightmare..." Leo answered before he got a confirmed nod from Mikey, indicating that he was right.

"Tell us about it, bro..." Donnie said encouragingly in a soft tone.

"I-I... I don't know what happened, it was like…I was on this snowy mountain and... there was nothing but white snow around me for a moment…then, a big shadowy figure appeared in front of me and... I heard a voice screaming for help…before everything went dark..." Mikey described as best he could with closed eyes and a hand on his forehead.

"A voice?" "Describe it!" Leo and Donnie said at the same time.

"Erm…I-It sounded like…a guy's voice…and he sounded like he was frightened…" Mikey said with a worried look on his face.

"So then, could it really be…Usagi's voice, after all?" Leo questioned with his hopes raised a bit.

"Hang on a minute, bro…How do we know if it really was Usagi's voice dat both you and Mikey heard? It could've been anybody's voice fa all we know…!" Raph said with doubt in his voice since he was finding hard to believe right now.

"W-Well…it was also really windy around me, so it almost made the voice quiet but…I could just make it out to be a voice that sounded like someone we have met before…it could've been Usagi, but...I just don't know..." Mikey then said with a raised finger to get his brothers' attention.

"Hmm, I see…" Leo said in a low tone due to feeling a little disappointed that he didn't get the answer he was looking for.

"M'sorry, Leo…If only I could've-" Mikey tried to apologise to his oldest brother due to feeling that he hadn't provided all the answers for him, but Leo immediately cut him off.

"It's alright, Mikey…what you experienced in your dream has actually been really helpful with this…"

"R-Really?" Mikey said with wide but still tired eyes.

"Yes, but we'll discuss more on this tomorrow…it's still pretty late…" Leo then said with a warm smile when he saw how tired his baby brother looked.

"You're right, Leo…Go back to sleep, little brother…we'll see you in the morning, ok…?" Donnie said softly to Mikey as he helped him lay back down and then tucked him in.

"M'kay…G'night, bros…" Mikey slurred sleepily as his eyes closed once more and went back to sleep.

"Goodnight, Mikey…" The three older brothers replied softly before they made their way out of Mikey's room, but Leo stopped halfway through the door and looked back at his sleeping baby brother with furrowed, worry-filled eyes.

"First me, and now Mikey…what in the world is going on? What does all of this mean?" He whispered to himself before he grabbed the doorknob on Mikey's bedroom door and gently closed it. He then made his way back to his own bedroom to resume his slumber.
