Hello, fanfic readers! This is SuperAvengerMan with a new story!
My new story is an alternate version of the last few scenes of the Peanuts film from 2015. Instead of the Peanuts gang being assigned penpals, the class will take a field trip to an amusement park called "Wiznee Land". It will be a park with Disneyland, Universal Studios, and Knott's Berry Farm combined. For their field trip, everyone will be assigned partners with another of their class.
Of course, this story will feature Charlie Brown X Heather (The Little Red-Hair Girl) moments.
Enough of me talking, let's get on with the story.
Chapter One: Partners with the Little Red-Haired Girl
It was another ordinary at school. Five minutes until the school bell rings so everyone can go home. Charlie Brown, as usual, is feeling gloomy. Ever since the first time he laid eyes on the Little Red-Haired Girl, he kept on trying to impress her.
His first try to impress her was during the school's talent show. He and Snoopy were practicing magic tricks, even if some of them were fake. During the event, Charlie gave up his spot to help Sally when her act went horrible and cried in front of everyone. In return, Charlie made it in front of the school's newspaper, looking like a goofball tied up to the rope.
His second try was during the school dance. Snoopy was teaching him how to dance so he can woo the Little Red-Haired Girl and hopefully share the same prize with her. He was doing amazing until he slipped on some punch that his shoe came off and set off the fire sprinklers, ruining the school dance.
A few days later, Charlie Brown was starting to get popular with everyone at school because of getting the highest score on a test. He admired everyone looking up to him and hoped that his crush would later come to him, as well.
During his popularity, Charlie Brown was assigned with the Little Red-Haired Girl to write a book report. Unfortunately, she was away because of a family illness. Charlie decided to the book report for the both of them so he went to the library and checked out "War and Peace". He worked day and night as he finished the assignment.
At an assembly, Charlie was receiving more admiration until he confessed that his test wasn't actually his, it belonged to Peppermint Patty. He hung his head in shame, knowing that his popularity will soon leave his side. But he also knew that he had to do the right thing.
Later on while Charlie and Linus were talking, he noticed the Little Red-Haired Girl was coming towards his way. He got nervous to speak to her so Linus explained that Charlie did the book report for the both of them. However, the report got up in the air and shredded to pieces, thanks to a toy model of the Red Baron. This caused both Charlie and his crush to fail the assignment.
Back in the present, the teacher announces that the class will be taking a field trip to the amusement park, Wiznee Land.
This announcement raises Charlie Brown's head with excitement. "A field trip to Wiznee Land?"
Schroeder raises a fist in the air. "Alright! This is gonna be awesome!"
The teacher tells Linus to read the names of the students in the classroom.
"Yes, ma'am." Linus gets out of his seat and heads to read the names from the tiny sheets of paper from the bowl.
"Now, when I call someone's name, another person will stand up and be his or her partner at Wiznee Land." Linus pulls out the first person's name. "Pigpen."
Patty speaks up, "I will. A little dirt never hurt me." She and Pigpen look at each other with hearts in their eyes.
Linus pulls out the next name. "Schroeder."
Lucy runs up to Schroeder. "I do! I mean, I will!" Schroeder looks up at the ceiling in disgust.
Several names later, Linus reads the last one. "Charlie Brown."
Everybody hides their faces under their textbooks. Charlie Brown looks down with a disappointed look. "Should have known that-"
"I will." Exclaims a girl's voice, belonging to none other than the Little Red-Haired Girl.
"The Little Red-Haired Girl? She wants me to be her partner? And spend the day together at Wiznee Land?" Charlie Brown questions in his thoughts.
"Then, it's settled! I now suggest everyone to meet up with who they're paired with after school and plan out everything for our field trip." As Linus says that, the school bell rings, meaning school was over for the day.
In the hallway, Charlie Brown couldn't help but continue wondering why of all people, the Little Red-Haired Girl wanted to be partners with him. "Me? Why did she choose me?"
"Charlie Brown! Wait!"
Charlie Brown turns around and sees the Little Red-Haired Girl catching up to him.
"She remembers my name?" Charlie begins to stutter. "Oh, hi! Good to- you know- see you- again!"
Heather gives a joyful smile. "You too, partner. Are you going home right now?"
Charlie was in his thoughts while staring at Heather. "Wow, the Little Red-Haired Girl is talking to me! And she remembers my name! If this is a dream, I don't wanna wake up!"
Heather waves her hand at him. "Hello? Charlie Brown?"
Charlie snaps out of it. "What? Oh, right! Yes! I'm heading home! Um, why?"
"Just wondering if I can tag along so we can prepare ourselves for our trip to Wiznee Land."
Charlie Brown starts to get shivers down his spine. "She wants to come to my house?"
"If it's alright we can do it now." Heather finishes.
"Of course, we can do it now." Charlie Brown answers. "Come on."
The two partners leave the school building and hop on the school bus to head home.
During the ride, Charlie couldn't believe that his crush was sitting next to him. The two sat in silence for several minutes until a friend of the Little Red-Haired Girl's passes by.
"Hey, Heather. See you later."
"Oh, bye." Heather responds with a wave.
"Her name's Heather?" Charlie Brown asks in his thoughts. He never her name until today.
Upon arriving to their stop, Charlie and Heather get off the bus and head inside to the Browns' home. Charlie opens the door and lets Heather inside. He couldn't believe his crush is coming inside his house. They go upstairs to his room, with a pile of Charlie's shirts on the floor.
"Sorry about my room, Heather. It was clean until this morning when I was trying to find the perfect shirt for today." Charlie says in embarassment.
Heather faces Charlie with a smile. "Don't worry about it. I'm a messy person, myself."
Suddenly, Charlie sees Heather's pink and chewed pencil on his cup with the other pencils and calls out Heather. "Say! Before we get started, let's go back downstairs for a snack!"
"Oh, okay. I am kind of hungry." Heather leaves the room as Charlie puts her pencil inside one of his droors.
"That was a close one." Charlie says as he heads downstairs.
To be continued . . .
How about it? Off to a good start? Yes? No?
Anyway, I hope I'll be able to update frequently with this story, knowing that I get a load of assignments to do from school. Not gonna make any promises though.
I hope you enjoyed the first chapter. Have a good day!
