Several hours had passed since the rescue of Parker at a factory in Italy. Kayo has gathered everyone in the lounge where she would tell everyone her secret. Over the last few months, the guilt weighing on her had become too great to hold back anyone and the meeting with Banino only opened the flood gates. She was even surprised that John had come down to join her with everyone else.
"You've always treated me like family, and I hope what I'm about to tell you doesn't change that," Kayo starts.
"Come on Kayo, did you dunk Thunderbird Shadow again? How bad can it be?" Gordon jokes but pauses when he sees Kayo's expression and a glare from Alan, "I'll let you finish."
"Something may come to light about my family... and I need you to hear it from me first," Kayo explains and watches as some of the brothers share a look, "The Hood—"
However, Kayo never gets to finish as EOS' emergency alarm goes off causing John to stand up and open the hologram of Earth.
"It's like the perfect storm of emergencies all across the globe," John notes looking at 7 warning symbols, "We're gonna have to mobilise. Every one of us, including you, Brains."
"Kayo...?" Marion trails.
"It can wait," Kayo answers quickly.
"Thanks," Scott states, "All right everyone, let's fly." Everyone gets up and runs to action stations but Sally grabs Kayo's arm before she could make off.
"Next time kid," Sally says warmly.
"I just hope I'm not too late," Kayo mutters.
"Me too," Sally sighs.
5... 4... 3... 2... 1... Thunderbirds are Go!
John heads into the space elevator and launches from the island heading back up to Thunderbird 5 so he can launch a pod. EOS brings up the holo-map again so John can explain to everyone what's going on. "Ok everyone, listen up," John orders, "Thunderbird 1, high winds have trapped a climber in Mount Haushan. He's taken shelter in a crevasse but can't get down."
"FAB," Scott and Marion say.
"Thunderbird 2, you've got a cave collapse in Spain. They need excavation and heavy lifting gear," John continues.
"I'm on my way," Virgil says.
"Thunderbird 3, I'm sending coordinates now. A transport shuttle with a crew of two has malfunctioned. You need to kill the engines and two them back to orbit," John explains.
"Piece of cake,"
"Thunderbird 4, a deep-sea submersible has sunk in a trench off Šipan. Passenger status unknown," John informs.
"Load up what you need Thunderbird 2. I'll launch from the island," Gordon states.
"FAB. Good luck," Virgil says.
"EOS. Thunderbird 5 will need to launch a pod. The satellite commanding the global flood control network has gone offline. I'll need you to walk me through the repairs," John says/
"Happy to help John," EOS responds.
"And I'll take over monitor duty," Sally says sitting down at her son's desk, "John, you focus on your own mission."
"Thanks Grandma. Thunderbird 6, a private plane has run into some engine trouble off the coast of Indonesia. You'll need to see if you can make any repairs or decide on an evacuation."
"RAD," Brains says.
"Finally, Thunderbird Shadow, someone thought they could cross the Great Victoria Desert on a motorbike. The distress signal is weak, but I think we can pinpoint their location," John finishes.
"I'm on it," Kayo answers.
"We all have our missions. Any questions?" Scott asks. A series of 'no's' is what the reply, "All right then. Thunderbirds Are Go!"
6
Thunderbird 6 taxis down a small runway and starts to pick up speed.
5
Thunderbird 5's space elevator arrives back with the main body and John prepares the pod.
4
Thunderbird 4 prepares to exit from the cave doors at the seabed.
3
Thunderbird 3's blast door closes, and Thunderbird S's platform heads up to turn around.
2
Thunderbird 2 taxis down the main runway and comes to a halt allowing the ramp to raise.

Thunderbird 1 comes to a stop as the swimming pool above starts to retract.
Thunderbirds are Go!
Little did everyone know, a familiar ship with three people on board heads ever closer to the island.
December 1st, 2061 - 19:27 ACDT
Kayo flies Thunderbird S over the Great Victoria Desert in South Australia. Looking around there isn't anything for miles around except different types of sand.
"Thunderbird 1, do you copy?" Kayo asks.
"Go ahead, Shadow," Marion responds.
"I've been searching for hours, there's nothing here. I'm not seeing any sign of... anything," Kayo notes, "This should be the exact location of the signal."
"Keep looking," Scott says jetpacking down alongside Marion, "Whoever sent that distress call has to be down there somewhere."
"Kayo's not the only one, Bro," Gordon adds as he continues to search the trench of the coast of Croatia, "This trench is nothing, but a whole lot of empty. No visuals. Scans are clear."
"I can assure you that the distress signals were genuine," John says confused, "Something doesn't add up."
Kayo gives up her search in the air and leaves Thunderbird S in her motorbike seeing an enclosed space coming up ahead. At full speed, she slips through the rocks and comes to a stop when she sees the abandoned bike and heads over to it. "Wait a minute. I've found the bike. No rider." She puts a bottle of water down by the bike and takes a look around.
"Could they have taken shelter somewhere?" Scott asks.
"Not without leaving footprints," Kayo detects and studies the site around the bike, "Judging from the impact zone, it looks like this motorbike was dropped here."
"This is Thunderbird 3," Alan says joining the chat prepare his hover board, "I'm pacing the shuttle now, but no one's picking up the phone. I may have to go EVA and shut those engines off myself."
"Ok, something is definitely going on here," Marion says after doing another lap around the mountain, "We're missing our trapped climber."
"It feels like we're being tricked Scott. We should return to Tracy Island," Kayo says packing her equipment up.
"I'm not ready to call it quits yet. Let's just focus on doing our jobs," Scott says.
"That's exactly what I'm going to do," Kayo says suspicious but with a terrible feeling in her stomach, "I'm leaving."
"Kayo, it someone really is stuck out there—" Scott starts.
"I left plenty of water with the bike," Kayo dismisses, "Thunderbird Shadow out." Picking up her speed again, she activates flight mode on her controller, which brings the main section of Thunderbird S overhead. A platform is lowered and Kayo breaks harshly and rolls back onto the platform before it is lifted and merges with the main body, allowing her to take off back to Tracy Island. Pulling up her security holograms he sees a red triangle indicating a breach, "Hmm. That's not good," and calls Brains, "Brains, can you hear me?"
"Yes, Kayo. I'm here," Brains says over the noise of a propeller.
"I need you to pull up the Tracy Island security log," Kayo explains, "It looks like someone had tampered with the sensors along the Western perimeter."
"Hmm. I believe you are c-correct," Brains notes as he is forwarded the same diagram Kayo had sent.
"Brains, listen to me. Inform Grandma Tracy to go to the emergency bunkers immediately. Take Thunderbird 6 back to Tracy Island. We've been compromised."
"FAB," Brains says and ends the call, turning Thunderbird 6 back around in the opposite direction.
Kayo then calls International Rescue's London Agent.
"Kayo, is everything alright?" Penelope asks.
"I'm afraid not Lady Penelope. How familiar are you with WASP?" Kayo responds.
"Wide Area Safety Protocol," Penelope explains, "It was the first thing Jeff Tracy taught me when I joined International Rescue."
"Good. We're activating it right now," Kayo orders.
"Understood. How else can I help?" Penelope offers.
"Just keep you comm active and wait for my signal," Kayo finishes and end that call as well before making her final approach to Tracy Island.
December 1st, 2061 - 22:43 NZDT
"Scott, it's Kayo. I'm back on the Island. We have a situation," Kayo says as she docks Thunderbird S and lowers her motorbike.
"You're not the only one," as he and Marion arrive at the location of the 'climber', "We're looking at some kind of explosive device."
"Me too," says Alan.
"Same here," Gordon joins.
"It's all of us," John says shocked.
"You were right about us being tricked Kayo," Virgil states.
"That's not out only problem," Kayo says as she arrives back in the lounge, "Tracy Island has a visitor."
"Nice view. I think I'll take it," The Hood says.
"What do you want?" Kayo asks.
"Tracy Island, of course. And the Thunderbirds along with it," The Hood says and gets up, "Unless control of the Island is immediately handed over to me, International Rescue will find itself in a very unfortunate situation."
"You lured every one of us into a trap," Kayo growls.
"And yet only you were able to see through it," The Hood chuckles as he walks right up to Kayo who stays put, heart beating at 200bpm in fear, "The devices at which your 'brothers' are looking at have been armed with sudden motion triggers. I would strongly advise against sudden movements. Such as returning to your vehicles."
"TB1, are you getting this?" Kayo asks.
"Every word," Marion says.
"He could be bluffing," Virgil queries.
"Negative, Thunderbird 2. This is the real deal," John sighs.
"Don't do it Kayo," Scott warns.
"I'm sorry Scott. I won't let him hurt any of you. You're just gonna have to trust me on this one," Kayo says and turns around to see Mullion and Transom appear up the stairs, "If you can promise me no Tracy will be harmed, I'll give you the Island."
"When it comes to family," The Hood empathises, "I'm a man of my word. The moment you hand over the Island, I will release them."
"Kayo, you can't," Scott says.
"I'm sorry, Scott. Coms off," Kayo states upset and cuts the link completely and starts towards her chair.
"Search the Island. I don't want any hidden surprises when I take possession," The Hood tells his two main goons.
"The transfer has to be done in the control core," Kayo says and takes a seat, while The Hood goes and sits in Alan's seat with a frown, "We're taking a ride." They head down but rather than straight down they go forward slightly before going at a 130° angle.
"It's funny how our lives took such different paths," The Hood rants, "You on some fool's mission to save the world and me—"
"Bent on destroying it," Kayo throws.
"Hardly. I want to build, create. Sometimes that means starting with a clean slate," The Hood counters. After a few more minutes they arrive at the bottom of the slope and level off before coming to a stop. The Hood gets up first and walks over to a large door and opens it with Kayo not far behind him. "Rather unimpressive considering the rest of the place."
"Sorry to disappoint you," Kayo says folding her arms, "It's not typically used for entertaining." She makes her way over to the mainframe and places her hand on the control panel. The mainframe scans her
"Biometric scan complete. Verbal authorisation required," the computer says.
"Control override and transfer. Tanusha Kyrano. SA-99," Kayo says into the scanner as the computer beeps.
"Voice print confirmed. New voice print required," the computer says.
"You'll need to say your name," Kayo says to her uncle.
"Agent 79 should suffice," The Hood says, waking over and speaking into the scanner.
"Voice print accepted. Transfer complete," the computer says.
"Tracy Island is yours. Satisfied?" Kayo says in disgust as steps away from the controls and watches as The Hood smirks.
"Attention International Rescue. As you can see, I am a man of my word," The Hood announces and starts to turn off the explosion devices. The he opens up the controls to the 7 Thunderbirds and revokes any access the brothers have to them. He then sets them on autopilot back to the island. This leaves Scott, Marion and Virgil stuck in the middle of nowhere, Alan trapped in the vacuum of space, Gordon in a deep underwater trench, John is a pod that is running out of oxygen and Brains at the bay doors of his hanger. The Hood lets out an evil maniacal laugh, "There. Now I have everything I want."
"Not exactly," Kayo smirks and turns her coms back on again, "London, do you copy?"
"FAB," Penelope says.
"Execute WASP protocol Alpha," Kayo states and seconds later everything shuts down on the island. The Hood looks around in confusion and anger.
"WASP protocol activated," Penelope says.
"Arrg!" The Hood yells, banging on the control panel as alarms and the red warning go off.
"Were you also this way when my father wouldn't share his toys with you?" Kayo jokes.
"I am not amused Kayo! What have you done?" The Hood cries.
"The central computer has been reset. You no longer have control of the island or the Thunderbirds," Kayo smirks.
"Well, if I can't have Tracy Island, no one can!" The Hood yells and takes another explosive device out his pocket, "This ought to enough to level the place." Kayo lunges at him, but knowing her moves well, The Hood avoids the first attack. He doesn't however anticipate the second when Kayo kicks up her legs and flicks the device from his hand and onto the gangway behind them. She goes to grab it, but The Hood, still lying on the ground, pushes a crate in front of her causing her to trip over. He grabs the device and runs beneath the control tower, clasping it to one of the iron supports.
"Have you lost your mind?" Kayo shouts.
"It makes perfect sense to me. Your brothers get their Thunderbirds back, but as soon as they arrive home... kaboom!" The Hood cackles and watches Kayo run over to take it off but is blocked off by The Hood, "I wouldn't advise touching that unless you want the light show to begin early?"
"International Rescue this is Tracy Island," Kayo calls taking a step back, "The Hood has set a trap. As soon as you return, he's going to blow up the power generator. It will destroy the entire Island. You can't come back."
"We're not just gonna leave you there!" Alan exclaims.
"Alan, you have to trust me," Kayo calmly says, yet her heart hammering out of her chest.
"Trust? Would he trust you knowing the kinds of secrets you've been keeping?" The Hood says walking over with a smirk, getting close enough to be picked up on the holo-screens.
"Kayo, what's he talking about?" Alan demands.
"She's been working for me. The whole time," The Hood states.
"That's a lie," Kayo trembles knowing what's coming next.
December 1st, 2061 - 22:56:03 NZDT
"Is it? And would I be lying when I tell them I'm your uncle?" The Hood declares. Silence. No one says a word for several seconds over coms. December 1st, 2061 goes in history for the longest time since the creation of IR that the coms were silent.
December 1st, 2061 - 22:56:38 NZDT
"K-Kayo, i-i-is this true?" Alan stutters but knew the answer before any words were said by Kayo's expression.
"Yes. It's true. The Hood is my uncle."
December 1st, 2061 - 22:56:52 NZDT
A second silence falls over the coms and the brothers and Marion collect their thoughts
"The Hood is you uncle?" Gordon angerly states, "The same evil mastermind responsible for us losing Dad?"
"This is what I was trying to tell you, but I promise I'm not working for him," Kayo cries in desperation, "I would never—"
"It is rather suspicious, don't you admit?" The Hood interrupts, "You here safe and sound while the others walk right into a trap."
"That's not—"
"And every time we've been in contact, not only have I escaped. I got everything I wanted," The Hood continues, "You've been my secret weapon this whole time and you didn't even know it."
"Guys, you have to let me handle this," Kayo murmurs, "Don't come back. Coms off."
December 1st, 2061 - 22:58 NZDT
"It doesn't make any sense!" Alan stutters.
"Actually, it does," Virgil says.
"You're not suggesting she's actively helping The Hood?" Gordon growls.
"No, but she does keep a lot of secrets to most of us," Virgil says, always the calm one.
"It's Kayo. We can trust her. Right?" John asks.
"Even if we do, can she handle this on her own?" Marion asks.
"She sees to handle everything just fine," Alan mutters, some anger starting to set in.
"I don't know," Virgil says.
"It's gonna be hard," John comments.
"There's only one question we need to be asking ourselves now," Scott announces, "What would dad do?"
December 1st, 2061 - 23:02 NZDT
"Since you're family, I'll allow you the favour of escape," The Hood says.
"I hope you can handle the climb," Kayo mumbles as she starts to climb up a ladder round the back of the control centre that leads to the exit tunnel. Behind her The Hood follows and when they exit, it's onto a small runway with a hangar at one end.
"Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!... Huh?" The Hood questions, his laugher stopping.
"Your plan to blow up Tracy Island has one small problem. We're not on Tracy Island," Kayo says with a smile forming, "Welcome to Mateo Island. Right next door and Thunderbird 6's base of operations."
"No, no, no, no, no, no!" The Hood cries.
"Sure, we'll be sad to see our back-up generator go," Kayo comments, "But it won't be the end of International Rescue or Tracy Island, not by a long shot. TB6 can just use the main runway."
"Aaagh! For this, you get to swim home after all," The Hood exclaims, "Assuming you can escape the blast." He presses a button on his remote and the pair watch his ship rise from the back of Tracy Island. They both hear a door close causing them to both turn around.
"Brains?" Kayo questions.
"Everything is under control here, Kayo," Brains says with a smile, "Grandma Tracy is checking the monitors and dealing with our guests." They turn back as The Hood's ship comes back into view and lowers but before it could land, the space elevator crashes into the top of it, taking a chunk away. This is soon followed by Thunderbird 1 arriving from behind and locking a grapple onto it with Thunderbird 2 coming from the front and lowering a gripper from Module 3 and grabbing onto one of the wings of the ship. Both Thunderbirds then pull into reverse.
"No, no! Stop! What are you doing?" The Hood yells but to no avail as both Thunderbirds continue to pull until parts of the ship breakoff crashing into the engine causing them to fail. The ship falls and crashes into the rocks off Mateo Island breaking apart completely and falling into the sea. "Aaaghh!"
"Guys, I thought I told you it wasn't safe to come back here," Kayo says.
"You also said to trust you to handle this," Marion says, "And you did."
"You may want to consider disarming that present you left us," Kayo says turning to face her uncle, "Unless you want to be the one... swimming home." The Hood groans in anger and disarms the explosive.
December 1st, 2061 - 23:47 NZDT
"The Hood. Captured at last," Casey says from the runway of Thunderbird 2 watching The Hood, Mullion and Transom being taken away, "Well done, Kayo."
"It was only a matter of time before he tried to capture Tracy Island again," Kayo muses, "Luring him to Mateo Island and activating WASP was always part of my contingency plan."
"You may think this insincere Kayo, but you've made your dear old uncle very proud," The Hood says sarcastically, "Be sure to write." He his lead onto the GDF Flyer by four soldiers and everyone watches it take off.
"I think we have a conversation to finish," Scott says approaching Kayo from behind.
December 2nd, 2061 - 00:09 NZDT
Kayo stands in front of everyone in the lounge. She looks at everyone and is disappointed to see that Alan isn't making any eye-contact with her and has a scowl on his face.
"You have to know I would never knowingly help... my uncle," Kayo admits speaking to everyone, but more directly at Alan, "Every time he got away, it only made me hate him more."
"We wouldn't dream of thinking otherwise Kayo," Penelope says.
"Keeping it a secret was your father's idea," Kayo explains, "He didn't want my family history to be... a distraction."
"Well, if dad wanted this a secret, that's good enough for me," Virgil says.
"It's still hard to believe he's gone," Gordon says with a sigh.
"Your father may not be in this room, but he'll always be with us Gordon," Sally comforts, "International Rescue was his gift to the world. Everyone in this room is keeping that gift alive. He would be so proud of each and every one of you." Everyone, except Alan, looks around the room and smile. "Now, who wants a midnight meal?" Sally jokes as everyone groans, "I'm kidding."
"Kidding or not, dinner will have to wait," John says as EOS' emergency alarm goes off, "We've got a situation. I'm gonna need everyone."
"Then it looks like..." Scott says.
5... 4... 3... 2... 1... Thunderbirds are Go!
December 2nd, 2061 - UNKNOWN
Colonel Casey walks towards The Hood's temporary holding cell. The Hood looks up with a sigh and glares towards her approaching figure.
"Come to gloat, have you?" The Hood asks.
"You're being transferred to Parkmoor Scrubs Prison," Casey announces sternly, "No one is gonna' to see you for a long, long time."
"And that makes the world safe?" The Hood scoffs, "I happen to know what's coming next Colonel. If you and International Rescue thought I was bad... ha, ha, ha... just you wait."
End of Part 2B
