This is an AU story set in between the movie's Thor and The Avengers that follows two characters, Loki and Liz. It tells the story of Loki and how he was tortured, and what the Tesseract is and how exactly it got there/it's purpose. As Loki is being tortured, he sees the vision of this poor, lost teenage girl named Liz. He decides that before he destroys Earth, he will find Liz.

While wandering the ruined streets of New York, Steve is hit with a wave of nostalgia and regret. Unsure of what his future will be, he finds comfort where he'd lease expect it-a total stranger from this strange time.

In the end, Bruce loses everything that he loves so why should Steve and Tony be any different? Loosely inspired by Ellie Goulding's Lights
