I'd like to say that this is not nor has ever been a Dick/OC or even a Dick/Barbara/Dibs fanfiction. It's Chalant. Was in the beginning, still is, and will be at the end. I hope you enjoy how the story progresses.

Someone yanked on his arm, roughly pulling him back.

"Andrea!"

"Papa?"

The stadium was falling down around them and everyone was running frantically around them, but his dad was the one constant. There was a large gash on his head that was bleeding profusely, but his grip on his son's shoulders was absolute and firm.

"Andrea! You have to run!"

"But what about you?" Suddenly he was back to being ten years old, scared not of the chaos around him, but of losing his papa.

"I'm going to be right behind you. Follow mami, okay. Make sure to do what she says. Protect her too, okay. Promise me."

"But-"

"Promise me, Andrea!" More debris fell around them, narrowly missing them but crushing a small family beside them.

"I promise." Tears were streaming down his cheeks. His vision was blurry but he was pretty sure he saw his papa shed a tear too.

"Good boy. Now go!" His papa pushed him away just a huge chunk of the bleachers crashed into the ground where he once was.

"Dad? Dad!" Suddenly he was jerked back.

"Andrea!" The brunette shot awake to see his mama in front of his face.

Her eyes were wide in concern for her son. Her hand rested on his back as he struggled to sit up. "You were yelling in your sleep. Were you having that nightmare again?"

"It's alright, mama. It's just a dream." Andrea brushed off. It was morning from what he could tell. It was Saturday, meaning no school and his mama didn't need to work today.

"But you haven't had that nightmare since we've arrived. Did something happen while you were gone last night?" By the time Camila got home, Andrea was already back and fast asleep on the couch. She had found the note while he was sleeping and the dinner he had left for her. She felt guilty that the meal was ice cold, but she was glad he was able to get home safely.

"Nothing Mama." He started to breeze past her but Camila caught his wrist before he could leave. Her hand cupped his cheek and moved upwards to comb through his messy hair. She made him look her in the eyes.

"La verità, Andrea."

"That is the truth, mama. Nothing happened." He covered his hand over hers. "Io giuro."

Camila sighed and dropped her hand. "I wish you'd be more truthful with me."

"I'm just trying to-"

"Si. Si. Per proteggermi." She walked off towards the highway, waving him off. "I'm your mother, figlio. It should be the other way around."

Andrea huffed. This was a recurring argument between them. Both are too stubborn to lay down, so it just ends with both of them angry and distant until one of them takes the higher road and apologizes. Andrea would rather not fight today, so it's best to just pacify her.

"I got to the club safely. Miss Zatanna brought me back safe and sound. She invited us to her next magic show. Do you want to go?"

"The angel?" Camila asked from the other room. She came back with a feather duster and a broom. At Andrea's nod she became contemplative.

"Si. We can go," she said. She quickly pushed the broom into his hands before he could start celebrating. "But only after you help me clean."

"An amusement park? Really?"

"Don't get snippy with me. You asked me to research this." Danny was reclined in his chair on the other side of the screen. A mug of joe on his left and a cup of pencils on his left. After an all-nighter and hours of scanning through pages and pages of websites, he found out where the children were being held. By the time he looked up it was late in the morning, and he was already on his laptop. It was quicker to video call.

"Okay, okay. But an amusement park? Seems more like a Joker kind of kang out."

"Well Disney World is not nearly abandoned enough to get on Joker's radar."

"Disney World! The hell?"

"It's not crazy if you think about it. Disney is a big children magnet. And with magic being involved, it would be easy to create a shift in space to make a little hidey hole for some unfortunate strayers."

"It's tragic that someone would go this far to kidnap children."

"Zatanna, meet the world. World, meet Zatanna."

"Ha ha," she sarcastically laughed. "Disney World is the one in Florida, right?"

"Yep, Orlando, Florida."

"Huh. This will be tricky then. The traffickers will definitely be there at night. They might even rush to relocate them if I'm caught."

"Which means that you'll have to make the extraction during the day while the park is open."

Zatanna sighed, "Why can't any of these missions be easy?"

"Better the reward."

"What kind of sick bastard kidnaps children at Disney World!" Danny was leaning on the wall behind the door of one of Dante's backrooms. They served as a kind of storage room for her on the nights she would perform. Zatanna told the others when she hit the lounge. Danny was livid. When she had told Dante, the old coot wasn't surprised in the least.

"One look at those costumed fiends and you can tell they love children."

"There's no telling how long it's been going on too." Over the years there have been many accidents at the Disney parks. Kidnappings, injuries, deaths, Who's to say some of those accidents don't tie into the missing kids.

"So when are we leaving?"

"I am leaving tomorrow. You're staying here."

"What!" Danny yelled. "Why?"

"The less people the better. Even if the park is packed with people, it can be easy to spot suspicious people if you're looking for them. And even if we know who's in charge, we have no knowledge of just how large of scale this operation is or where there could be eyes. We can't afford any risks on this mission."

"So you expect to search that whole park by yourself? You'd still look suspicious snooping around the park by yourself."

"Did you see Andrea and an older lady beside him? Black hair, super curly and wavy."

"Uhm, yeah. Close to the front row."

Zatanna smiled. "Then who says I'll be going alone."

"Give it up for The Mistress of Magic!"
