MONTH 8

My space is pretty much gone. I'm now cramped. I can't really kick or stretch anymore. The only thing I can do is just move around, but just barely. I'm completely surrounded by the squishy wall. There was something different about it too. The squishy walls felt a little thinner than usual. When I pushed my hand into the squishy wall, it felt like I could almost touch the outside of it. I think that surprised the voice because it reacted differently.

"I think she's trying to break out," said the voice

I don't like being cramped, but I guess I have to get used to it. All I can really do right now is sleep. I closed my eyes and was about to drift off to sleep when something new happened to me. Hic hic hic. What in the world was that and why is it happening to me? Hic hic hic hic.

"She has the hiccups!" said the voice

Hiccups? What are hiccups?

Hic hic hic hic hic. I think I just answered my question. I hate these hiccups and they don't seem to be stopping. Help me voice! Make these hiccups stop. Hic hic hic hic hic. I dealt with these hiccups for quite a while, and I was miserable. The voice didn't help me. Actually, I don't think the voice can help me. Soon the hiccups started to fade and then they suddenly stopped. Thank goodness they're gone. I hate hiccups. I hope I never have to experience that again. I tried to go back to sleep, but I was disturbed again by the familiar sound. Hic hic hic hic. The hiccups were back, but they were coming from the voice.

Oh no, not again! Make it stop voice!

"Now I have them," said the voice

Even though the hiccups were coming from the voice, it sounded different. It wasn't coming as fast like it did with me. I don't understand these hiccups, but I hope they go away. It wasn't long till the hiccups finally stopped. I just hope they're gone for good this time. I closed my eyes and focused on my favorite sound ba-bump ba-bump ba-bump ba-bump. I finally drifted off to sleep.

I'm not sure how long I slept for, but I was woken by the sound of the voice. It didn't sound happy at all. That's when I noticed something. The squishy wall didn't seem soft anymore. I touched it and it felt hard, but I soon felt it become soft again. That was weird. I could hear the voice and the muffled voice.

"I think I just had a contraction," said the voice worriedly

The voice and the muffled voice went on and on. I don't understand what's going on now. Suddenly the voice let out a noise I never heard before. It sounded like the voice was hurting. I touched the squishy wall and it felt hard again. What is going on?

"It's still too early!" the voice hollered

What's wrong voice? Are you okay?

All I could hear was the muffled voice. It didn't sound happy either. I felt the squishy wall again and realized that it was soft again. Why is it doing that? I don't get it. I heard the voice and the muffled voice talk back and forth. I don't know what's going on, but I hope everything is okay. I did my best to stay still so I wouldn't upset the voice. Some time later, I heard the voice make another uncomfortable sound. I also heard a different muffled voice.

"It was just braxton hicks contractions?" asked the voice

The voice and the unfamiliar voice talked back and forth for a while. I'm still not sure what's going on, but I hope everything is okay now. I hope the voice is okay. I don't like it when it makes those awful noises. I have been still for quite a while, but now I need to move again. I moved around slightly to find my comfortable spot. As usual, the voice reacted.

"I'll be seeing you soon baby. It won't be long now," said the voice

Seeing you? What are you talking about now?

I felt slight movement against me from outside the squishy wall. I know the voice did that and I actually didn't mind it. It was gentle. I started to focus on entering my peaceful state. I listened to my favorite sound ba-bump ba-bump ba-bump ba-bump. I'll never get tired of listening to that. I drifted off to sleep. It's so peaceful and I want it to stay that way.

End of Chapter 8. Sorry if this seemed a little shorter than the previous. I promise that the final chapter will be longer and it should be longer than any of the other chapters. This story is starting to sound like "Look Who's Talking." Lol. Anyways, I'll have the final chapter posted soon. I hope you look forward to it.
